[Resolved]  Reliance USB Modem — Fraud

About 5 months back I had bought a Reliance USB modem in Pune, on the recommendation of a friend. My woes started from the first monthly statement onwards. I had noticed that I had been moved to a higher plan without my consent and charged to that effect. For two months I had followed up with Reliance's customer care. Pune customer care guys are useless. Finally, when I called up Mumbai customer care, after two months, I could get the tariff plan corrected. Added to this are the frequent "service barred" issues, without any rhyme or reason. I would call them up umpteen times to get service restored.

To add to this agony, after the first two months, they stopped sending me their monthly statement. Every month I had to follow up with them to send me the monthly statement. Only then would I receive my statement. And on one such occasion, I had been sent another customer's statement along with mine. This is how in Reliance function.

Frustrated with their services, when I had asked them to terminate my connection, I was appalled to know that I was under the corporate customer plan and that I had to talk to my corporate(employer) to get the services disconnected. Reliance folks at Pune office have listed me as a corporate customer, while my company had neither authorized them nor me to avail of this service. For two long months I had followed up with them via mail, phone and what not. Finally, last month I stopped making any payment and asked them to collect their monthly bill from the corporate they felt the connection belonged to. I stood my ground, still nothing materialized. As a last resort, I had sent a mail to the company secretary of Reliance Infocomm and all and sundry managers (regional managers) with a copy to the customer care, mentioning that I would have kicked their customer care executives on their arses for their lousiness.

To my relief, they had terminated my connection immediately. What a relie[censored]

Folks, if you are planning to invest in a Reliance Netconnect card or an USB modem, please dont. My colleagues too are experiencing harrowing times. 60% of the times, your services are barred on some pretext or the other. Your follow up calls can mop up a phone bill which would be equivalent to your internet plan charges. Trust BSNL. They are rude initially, but refrain from cheating (at least to a large extent). Reliance Infocomm NetConnect sucks. Cheats! Fraudsters!!

do NOT buy this usb modem, reliance doesn't support it.... 1, ONE! kilo BIT per second download speed in downtown bangalore... completely useless, 15 minutes to open email.... but they are charging you for every second

I read about Reliance USB Modem and was shocked to know the kind of service being offered. In fact I was chasing with TataIndicom guys for USB Modem connection but believe me in the begining itself they lazy attitude of the customer care executives has made me think twice. I was approaching them for a new connection from last 10 days but till date none of their engineers turned up and all the time I call them, they sound like parrots, i.e. some one will get back to me within 24 hrs. It was then I was trying to find out about Reliance and to my surprise I found it to be the BAAP of Tata Indicom. God knows which company would give us a better service ????
I WANT TO SURRENDER MY USB MODEM BACK. WHATS THE FORMALITY. PLS LET ME KNOW.

i have been told that wireless netconnect download speed will be approximatly 60 to 70 kbps.But this is 10 to 12kbps.I am paying about rs.1670, i had given complaints for that many times.There is no response for that.So, i want to give it back.
Reliance and TataIndicomm sucks!Never take those connections.I've been using both.The internet get disconnected or hanged every 5 mins.I had to reconnect all the time.Take BSNL EVDO..fast and easy..EVDO is possible only in EVDO enabled towers.Belive me...this is india and we are not going to get any services better.Ministers are concentrated on feeding themselves.India is not even a 3G network still while others have become 4G.India is still having a 2.7G network.

reliance netconnect modem is very slow.it is a wrong device launch by reliance, please save your mone and not buy reliance netconnect modem.the complain system is very poor.

I had boughted the reliance netconnect by trusting reliance products but it had cheated me.it is too bad.it has not a single good quality.it's very slow speed about 35kbps, pixalate and dull picture in every sites, hardware problem are just irritating me..some time i think to throw but i had given about RS3000 for it.but i cant tolerete this i will knock the consumer court abot this cheating...HEYYYYYYYY are u thinking to buy it...it will too painless...so be aware of it...i am 100% true about this product...

reliance usb modem is not value for money.it has network problem.
Yes friends, the reliance usb modem is not worth to buy. The services are very poor. The speed is max 10 kbps and sometimes it is 0.01 kbps. The billing problem is also there.

My USB Modem No is [protected] and I have recharged 1099 for unlimeted downloading but my net speed is very slow so that I suffer many problem in browsing & downloading.
The Reliance Netconnect Broadband modem is not got activated for more than 1 week from the date of purchase.
