[Resolved] Sony — LCD Screen | |
Hi, I have bought a Sony Vaio Laptop(NR 38) on sep 23 2008. But, within 3 months my screen gave a crack and gradually nothing is visible on the screen. Inspite of being in warranty,Sony Service centre located at Sakinaka,Mumbai is rejecting to replace the screen. They say that it is a physical damage and hence not covered in the warranty. Why should I pay 18000 rupees when there is absolutely no fault of myne. The LCD screens of VAIO are very delicate and Sony should take moral responsibility for this. i had submitted a complaint on this site previosly as well. my laptop lcd screen is displaying lines with white background. the service center says that tft needs to be replaced as it has got damaged. there has been no mishandling on my part, but the company is trying to hide its poor quality product by blaming the user. new tft will cost about 14,000 rs. and i am also using hp laptop since 4 years. never had any such problems in it. its just that sony laptops are so delicate that they break under daily use. the laptop is still in warrant period.
i request sony to relpace my TFT free of cost if they have any sense of resposibility towards the customer
and not to keep delaying response on this matter. by delaying you are only trying to get the laptop out of the warrant period
