Even i got the same issue with the phone. First that Stic came off and then a panel on receiver side came off and then issues with touch screen. The mobile never fell from my hands.
So finally i had to spend Rs 1300 to get entire front panel. Its just 3 days now and again the STIC has come off.
What is the need to have a STIC at that place? Its a damm poor design by sony ericson. Really shameful of the company to do this poor designing.
Also when there is no damage to the phone, i believe the panel should be covered under warranty or else consumeers will have to pay for their poor designs.
This is the fourth handset of SE i am using, and say 8th in my family. We buy SE coz of the great music it provides. But when it come to design, we have to think a lot before selecting one.

Sony Ericsson — G 900
HiI have purchased one Sony Erricsson G900 on 23/011/2008, after 2 months i found some problem with this handset, it was getting hang. i had to restart this phone every time. In the month of June this phone was getting problem with the network, Network was not availble in this phone.
I had made several complaints to sony erricsson as well as Airtel for Network Probelm,
On 07 July 09 i have given my mobile to Sony erricsson service centre in Pune ( Accel Frontline service centre) for repairing, as per them this handset have network problem, and have to changed the mother board of this handset. i have given this handset on 07th july (Call no PUN- SE- 297088) for changing mother board. i have visited 15-20 times to their service centre for delivery of my phone, but every time thery are making some excuses for not delivering. I am writing this complaint on 29th Oct 09, But i still have not deliever my handset, it is almost 4 months, i am with out my handset, still they are telling that mother board is in logistic, as soon as will reach, we will changed.
I have got fad up with sony erricsson, i will advice every body , not to buy any sony erricsson handset in future.

sony ericsson g 900 — company not cooperating
i have my cell phone o the service centre for repair but the company is taking too much time and when i ask then they says one part of this phone is not available.29%

SONY ERICSSON , G900 — PROBLEM IN G-900
HI,I HAVE G-900 .I USED THIS PHONE SINCE 5-6 MONTHS. THE FIRST PROBLEM IS THAT IN THIS PHONE TOP OF THE FRONT PANNEL IS NOW REMOVED . IT IS A VERY THIN STIC . AND THE BOTTOM STIC OF THE FRONT PANNEL IS ALSO REMOVED VERY SOON . YOUR SERVICE SERVICE CENTER EXECUTIVE TOLD ME THAT THIS STIC IS NOT AVAILABLE.SAPRATELY. SO WHY SHOULD I PAY SO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS PHONE IF YOUR COM PANY IS UNABLE TO ARRENGE THIS STICK. IF THE STICKS WAS REMOVED AND I WANT TO GET THIS SO I WILL PURCHASE THE FULL FRONT PANNEL, IT IS NOT A FAIR DEAL... WHY SHOULD I BEAR THIS EXTRA EXPENCES...
AND NOW THE TOUCH SCREEN OF THIS PHONE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY...I AM UNABLE TO RECEIVE ANY CALL,
AND WHEN I WANT TO FORMAT MY PHONE THEN YOUR SERVICE CENTER SAYS ME THAT WE CAN NOT SAVE YOUR DATA BECAUSE WE HAVE NO SOFTWARE FOR DATA BACKUP
FINALLY I WANT TO SAY THAT I M VERY DISAPPOINT WITH YOUR SERVICE
PLS SOLVE MY PROBLEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
