Unknown — Street Vendor Proliferation

I live in BTM Layout 2nd stage. Of late, there is a massive increase in the no. of street vendors selling flowers, vegetables, and fruits in 7th Cross. Already there are regular shops in this area which has made this nice residential area hell but with the street vendors occupying the platforms, it has become a hell. These people started using the plots which were getting constructed. Now those places have become their permanent spot. Looking at these people, more and more vendors have started putting shops including chat, pirated videos, used books etc. Unless it is stopped now, it will become a big problem later. If you would like to see every day dead rats on the roads & crows dogs fighting for the dead ones visit this area which is so called one of the posh areas of Bangalore. The root cause for the problem is vacant plots which have become garbage dumping places & houses for rats & other dangerous creatures like snakes lizards etc. & it is become mosquito hub. I would request the authorities to initiate necessary actions against the plot owners who have not even bothered to fence it to avoid garbage dumping & not even bothered to visit the site once in a year to have it cleaned. There are many problems in the area like dog menace, roads are not cleaned properly, garbage is not collected properly & regularly, Road cuttings is not filled properly. I humbly request the authorities to kindly visit the area & take necessary actions to enable us live in this area in peace.
