[Resolved]  Vodafone — Service issue

My mobile number has been held by me since 2006. On the 11th of November I approached your Vodafone shop at four bunglows near Kamdhenu . I was asked to clear my unbilled amount and pay a deposit of Rs.500/-. At this time I, did not even bother to enquire about my existing deposit lying with you of Rs.250/- which I had paid at the time of taking the SIM.The photo id I had was my PAN card whose signature was not matching as it was an old signature.I still tried to sign in the same way and I was told by your customer service associate that it was ok. Assuming that all was in place I left the shop knowing that you would get in touch with me in case of any problems. The next month the bill again was generated in my name. Around the 21st of December I once again visited the same Vodafone shop and they told me that there was a signature mismatch. This time I cleared the accrued bill and offered to sign again and the concerned customer service exec confirmed that now there will be no problems. However, this was still not done and now another bill was generated. This time also I did not get any call from the customer service centre regarding the issue.I even offered them a new photo id (my passport) whose signature would surely match but I was told that there will be no issue this time. After this when I had to check again with the same customer service centre I got the same feedback that there was a signature mismatch. This time I told the person attending me that i will not remit the payment and that the deposit I had paid should be adjusted against the outstanding bill and that I would not pay any late payment charges as you have been failed in delivering the service requested.


Today I have received 3 phone calls from your collections department to whom I have narrated the entire saga 3 times. After this again went to the customer service centre to sort out the entire issue. I spoke to the concerned person and told him the I had a deposit of rs.250/- already lying with you against the first subcription. I have applied for the transfer of the name by paying Rs.500 as deposit, hence I would like to adjust the deposit of Rs.500/- against the pending bills ( minus the late charges of Rs.50)

And I would make a payment of the balance overdue amount immediately by my credit card and then I would also like to apply for the direct debit facility through my credit card so that my further payments can be made smoothly.

I have been told that I will get the refund only through your process which will take 20 days (on priority). I would like to know that if this was the case should have in the first place got a refund of my earlier deposit of Rs.250/- within 20 days from 11th November 2008.

I am not able to call vodafone care from my mobile the representatives are not replying properly
i wanted to add one number to FNF list which i am not able to
tried through SMS by sending it to 56789 but still not activated .
amount of rs3 were debitted. and the service is still not activated .
tried talking to vodafone care they are not responding properly.
Please look into the matter.

Hi I m the customer of VOdafone i have taken vodafone connection vide No. [protected] before 5 days earlier but suddenly my connectiion is not working when i make the call to customer care is reporting that your service is not available but I tried from another mobile it also arising same problem i am facing a lot of trouble ple give me reply and get my connection active otherwise i will sort out my connection today...

I am Arpit Maheshwari, a vodafone post paid user ( +91-[protected]) in Kozhikode ( Kerala). I wanted to convert my number from post paid to pre paid and thus submitted my documents in the prescribed vodafone store. They told me that my number would be converted from post paid to pre paid by 22nd of Feb. Today is 28th of Feb and still my number has not been converted. Not only this but I have been asked to not make any calls from my number else they would not convert it into pre paid till my next billing date which is 22nd of each month. I have called the Regional Executive ( Ms Jalna [protected]) number of times but nothing has been done. I am student in IIM Kozhikode and its difficult for me to leave my class and go to lodge a complaint in the consumer court. Please help
