[Resolved] Vodafone — Customer Harrassment | |||
Today I had the misfortune of going to the Vodafone store to get my Vodafone Matrix number ported over to Vodafone. I was given a token number as is the process and the token number , the casual attitude of your store employees ( Sector 18 Noida branch ) and their slow turnaround time ensured that I waste at least 1 hour before my turn came. In spite of close to 5-6 desks to service the customers , at no point of time during my entire 1 hour of stay in the store could I see your employees working on all the desks. This was more painful given the fact that this is perhaps the only Vodafone store for entire Noida and the day I am talking about was a weekend where the customer rush is supposed to be at a high. At this point of time I must commend you on hiring employees like Ms Deepika. They are surely the best brand ambassadors for your competitors like Airtel , Idea , Aircel as her attitude really drove me up against the wall and at one point really inspired me to use my this SIM to the fullest , throw it in the waste bin and move over to some other mobile service provider. A recorded tape recorder would be better able to do her duty , at least that would be always seated at its desk. However I still have some faith in the escalation level of the organizations so I continue with my tale of woes. Once my turn came , I went to the executive with the required documents i.e. printout of the NoC from Matrix , Id/address proof to get my number moved over to Vodafone from Matrix. To my utter frustration , I was told that the NoC provided by Matrix in e-mail would not be construed as a valid document. I am amazed that in today's increasingly paperless world , Vodafone insists on behaving like a dinosaur. You should realize that if you behave like dinosaur , you will meet the same fate i.e. become extinct. Even Government offices are going the e-way Vodafone insists on going back to the stone age. Furthermore your below mail affirms my understanding that movement from Matrix to Vodafone is not similar as movement from say Airtel / Idea etc to Vodafone as Matrix is probably a sister concern of Vodafone or it has some internal tie-up. In this case your pathetic attitude is more painful, if Vodafone and Matrix are indeed linked at some level , then surely Matrix employees should know best that converting to Vodafone requires a hardcopy of the NoC and their soft copy of the NoC is not construed as a genuine document by Vodafone store employees. This lack of knowledge of processes on your part is really frustrating and I am certain that I would be talking about this "service" of Matrix to all my known ones so that they don't get tied up in Matrix. At this point of time my question to Vodafone and Matrix is that do you expect your customers to waste time repeatedly , haggle with your un co-operative store employees just because your processes are archaic , anti customer ? This attitude of yours forces me to believe that you want your old loyal customers to port over to some other provider rather than providing them with a level of service which is their right.
