[Resolved]  You Telecom — Bad Service

1. You Telecom representative Datta Jadhav ([protected]) took a cheque from me on the 12th of June promising that I will get a connection by 15th evening. Today is the 18th, and I have still not yet got my connection. It is sad that when a company pitches a product, the staff make all kinds of great claims. The reality of meeting those 'proud' words of sales is never looked at.
2. Yesterday I had 4-5 men coming home to get the wiring done. Is this a standard practice? It is highly intimidating when there are outsiders roaming around the house to get a simple wiring done. There is no sense of privacy. Also, it is MY home, and things keep lying around. I NEED to feel safe at home. There has got to be a cultured manner in which staff behave when they visit a customers home. One of the You Telecom employees even stamped on my mattress with his dirty bare feet! This is disgusting! One employee was even talking on his mobile on a personal call while I am waiting for something to happen with respects to the wiring.
3. I was exasperated when I didn't get the connection yesterday as Datta promised that it would be done. As a result, I had to face a considerable amount of inconvenience going to a cybercafe at night to do my office work. I was visibly irritated as Datta kept lying to me as to when he would start the connection. I told him that if this is the case, then I might has well not get the You Telecom connection. What is surprising is that he then shouted loudly in the passageway of my building (as I was leaving to go to a cybercafe) "Bahut ho gaya. Bahut natak kar raha hai. Tera paisa 45 days ke baad milega. Company cheque bhijwa denga" (This is too much. He is throwing a lot of tantrums. You will get your money after 45 days. The company will send the cheque). Is this the quality of people that companies send when they go to customers homes? It is surprising!

You Telecom — Bad Customer Service and failure to comply to offers

This is a copy of the mail I sent to You Telecom on 13th March, 2008. No response from their senior officers in charge of grievances or customer care in any manner till date.

My cust id is 322286. I took a survey on Monday 10th March, 2008 and got credited 100 MBS.
I could not recharge my account because of your server problems online.

My account got inactive with 100 MBS credited

No cust care executive attended my complaint for 2 days.

Today on thursday March 13th. I got a new modem installed and got my account activated.

My account got activated with 2 GB and 62 days validity.

WHERE ARE THE 100 MBS THAT GOT CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT.

PLS DONT SAY THAT YOU LOST THE 3 DAYS OR ACCOUNT WAS INACTIVE

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, I COULD NOT EVEN RECHARGE MY ACCOUNT ONLINE

I HAVE CALLED DAILY TO YOUR CUSTOMER CARE AND LEFT COMPLAINTS

YOUR RENEWAL DEPARTMENT KEEPS ON PESTERING ME WITH CALLS.

I WANT MY 100 MBS CREDITED ASAP.
I am having You Telecom unlimited net access plan. Since last 10 days, I am not able to access internet as it is been discontinued from the back office. I have registered a complaint against this at there customer care for about 10 times now, but didn't got any response.

I took this connect just about 40 days back and the connectivity sucks. It never works proper for one full weak. No complaint is resolved in time. First of all, the back office people messed up with the connection plan by putting it in to some limited access plan where as I had clearly mentioned in the application form for an unlimited plan. The issue was resolved in 3 days, and I was told that my plan is now changed to unlimited one. The net never worked properly even then. Now after a month it is again disconnected and I have been told that I have outstanding bill of around Rs. 6000/- for the extra usage which I used when I had limited plan. I dont understand when did I had this plan. Its there mistake and I am not going to pay a single rupee for that.

The people at there customer care knows nothing (not even there boss name and email address and worst some dont even know where is there all India head office is located). The only thing they know is to say "we have forwarded your complaint to the concern department and they will get in touch with you within 24 hours". Now nobody knows from when these 24 hours start and when they end (I actually asked about this too if they can let me know when exactly this 24 hours time start and ends and got the happiest replies that the concern department will call you back).

I also got in touch with the sales person, who actually responsible for all this mess Mr. Shrikant mobile no. [protected], well he should be replaced with Mr. Manmohan Singh. Our PM might get some time to do his job but one should not expect anything from this guy after you have made your payments at the time of application. He is just too busy, nobody knows where because you will feel he never works. Everytime you call him it will take some 20 - 30 times for him to take your call, then you tell him your problem for which he will say let him check from back office and he will give you a call back in next 10 min. Now again no one actually knows from when this 10 min starts and when they will end, as he will never call back. At the end you will call him back and he will give you some stupid explaination.

Now for last one week my net connection is disconnected on the reason that I have outstanding balance, when I have paid all my bills. Even the bill which I recieved and on my net id does not say anything about this outstanding balance. But internet is disconnected because of it.

If anyone here knows You Telecom's directors contact, kindly let me know, I simple want to let him know that his complany services sucks.

You Telecom is the worst internet connection.No improvement with the name change from Iqara to YOU.. They have so poor services that one gets frustated.Whatever may be our complaint they say that they will attend in 24hrs but we end up spending about the same amount of money as the net connection on our mobile bill to call their customer care service. I got connectivity of internet 15days after i put in request and i had to call every single day. They only call u on time when its time to collect bill.I have had the connection for only 4 months but i m so fed up with these people that i cant take it anymore.Due to their fault they disconnect anytime they want n we end up calling the customer care everytime and have to wait for atleast 3 days for connection to start again. And as icing on cake those never give us compensation for our lost time or money.The day i have important meeting or call related to my work with forign clients the internet is never working.Its too frustrating.
I advice all o[censored] that please DONT GO FOR YOU TELECOM . u will repent it i[censored] do.
I have a Airtel Post Paid connection number [protected] in B'lore which was taken recently. From the day one i have been facing problem. Iniataly the clip service was not working for 3 days, only after calling the call centre of Airtel for thrice the problem was solved. They have taken the charge for clip service in advance but not giving the service. Then after few days on Oct 6th my out going service has been barred. On contacting them they have said that the residence verification was done. I just have to say that the verification is not my job and that has to be done by the company and for the fault of the company the customer is getting penalised. I want to take some action against it as i have faced a lot of problem in my personal and official life.

I would surly not advice to go for Airtle now.
from last one month i am facing the problem of network congestion of bpl mobile, while calling to operater same reply i am getting its take time.if i have to make an urgent call to my add-on user its fail and i get the ans no. not valid.

I am an frustated customer of You telecom(customer no 435320). I had taken this company broadband connection 4 months years back, but due to very poor service I had terminated the connection on 20-Aug- 08. and as per the rules of the company i had paid all the outstanding billsand have returned teh modem to teh comany sales exceutive Mr. sachin on the same date . He promised me taht i will get my money back in 15 days . Now it is 9 jan 09 but still i havenot received my money. I didnot get any answer from neither Sachin nor from teh YOU telecom customer care. And now they are calling me to asking to pay Bill . A service whcih i am not using any more .

You Telecom — Unsatisfied with service

I am using You Telecom internet. I have taken this connection in 23-Sep-08.
That time i paid 1128 Rs. That guy said u will get connection in 3 days, but i got connection after 20 to 25 days. Within 15 days i got a bill with 900 Rs. When i took connection that time provider said in 1st month u don't have to pay anything coz already u paid 500 Rs as a 1 months rent. I went to office of You telecom. There they gave me false comments like we will return you 500 Rs in 2 days & we will solve your problem today itself. now you pay this amount. So i paid 500 Rs again. In that period i never used internet connection coz there was always problem with my connection. still i am facing that problem.
Everyday i used to call to you telecom office to solve my problem. Some time they comes at my home to solve the problem. but 2nd day again the same connection problem. From last 3 months i am following them & they just gives me false comment.
Still they have not return 500 Rs to me. And i got again bill of 800 Rs. Now i am frustrated.
They doesn't provide good service to the customers. They just gives false comment every time.
You telecom service is very bad.
I want to do complaint against You Telecom in Grahak Munch. But i don't know where is the Grahak Munch Office.
Please help me for this. Now i am so much frustrated.

You Telecom — Effect of payment not shown in balance

I have recharge my account fron NET for 366 days and 500 MB with option of
carry forward balance. To my surprise I found that balance is not carry
forward which was 800 MB. When I selected this option on companies web site
which has not given any warning that I will be losing 800MB. Company should
understand that when you ask for carry forward option any consumer will
assume that company is asking for existing balance carry forward. I request
YOU Telecom to do the needful. With 500 MB balance I would not like to
continue for this plan and demand for refund of money.
I guess there is something seriously wrong with the company accounts and finance management. Like all other companies, they just believe in taking the money. They don't know how to refund the money :)

I have the similar problem with different details. I hope I get my money back. btw, what is the update on the status? did u received your money?

I just found a government of India's portal where you can lodge a complaint. I will lodge the complaint after 5 days. I hope it works for you. the link is http://pgportal.gov.in

You Telecom — Fraud

I was asked by the company to make payment thrice in the same month of february 2009. i requested for Plan change to unlimited then i was asked to pay Rs. 600 as a settlement and change fee, i paid thru cheque then i had to wait for net to get activated. after two days when the net got activated i started using the same with keeping in mind the plan has changed to unlimited and that the monthly payment will only be like Rs. 678 including taxes and that there will not be any extra charges. Now after a week a learn that my bill had become Rs. 3000 + for the reason that the plan was not changed. this was the most horrible experience one could ever imagine. Now even after talking to so many people like Mr. Pramod and Mr. Srinivas in Vashi, Navi mumbai there has been no proper responce. they are just fighting amongst themselves and none are taking any responsibility. Finally now its like 20 days up that my internet is disconnected and i am asked to pay the monthly rental along with the excess MB charge which makes me feel more horrible and scammed.

I Mr. Mangal Singh Kerai residence at Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. I am going to complaint you about the bad service provided by BSNL/Cell One. The company had cut-off my all incoming calls since 2 weeks ago and when I had complaint about it to the BSNL Customer Care service they said it was due to network problem. I had complaint two-three times after not having incoming call facility at my no. I can't even able to talk to my parents as I am currently studying far from home. Sometimes they pickup the phone and some times not. I don't have that much of money to go complaint against the company at any consumer court. with losing hope I decided to complaint online which is free and I hope someone will definitely understand my problem.

I am prepaid customer to Airtel, this almost 18 months old, where airtel has discontinued my service without notice, I have requested service then they told to wait for one day it will activate, I have waited 2 days and went to airtel office, they told to call 999 service, I have done the same, and the customer care executive told that problem in documents submit your proofs, then it will get activated, without notice or intimation, this is riduculus all of a sudden discontinuing of service, I have lost my interview of overseas which was scheduled due to this problem, they have to give prior intimation before discontinuing any service, and not giving any proper reason for the problem they had created to me., they has to pay compensation for this which I had lost my interview.

You Telecom — Speed issue and negligence of operators.

sir,

since 7 months I have the internet connection of the YOU TELECOM company,
but since last 3 months my broadband spped is very less compared to the plan applied.
since 3 months I'm giving a ton of complaints to the company but the operators from it have just checked and got away and are even asking not to give complaints since they can't do anything and are confirming that my speed cannot be varied and I should continue with this small speed.
I have been paying hundreds of rupees each month for this broadband but the company fails to solve the problems of its customers.
So I request your authority to take necessary action against the company and its staff!!

You Telecom — YOU Telecom delay in transferring connection

I wanted to shift my Internet connection to other place & also the MB's were used & connection required to be reewed. I thought to renew it after transferring it to new premises. I called You Telecom executive he assured to transfer the connection in 3 days & collected cheques for both transfer & renewal. He renewed the account & cleared the renewal cheque & no transfer was done. He keeps on avoiding my calls & dosent pick up the phone. I called Customer care for 4-5 times & they also assure to do the same. They say that we have already forwarded your request to concernec person & he is working on it. But to my great surprise nobody has even visited my premises. On calling again they assure to forward the request on urgent basis & they on much stronger basis. None of their executives pick up the phone & even on Customer No executive or any senior officer is replying. Kindly guide me what to do now ?
