I had purchased a 2 year service contract (Gold AMC ID:[protected] from Eureka forbes on[protected] for my subject machine, which is expiring on[protected]. The water filter stopped working on[protected]. On registering a complaint, a techician by name Kiran (Bangalore) came to attend the complaint. He said that the filter is not working and has to be replaced and the same will be on chargeable basis. He quoted a sum of Rs. 4000.00 for replacement of the filters. When I pointed out about the validity of the service contract till[protected], he insisted that only 2 filter changes will be made in the AMC period and any replacement beyond 2 filters will be charged. He also pointed out that the filter replacement is done on the basis of 1 per year or 6000 litres of water consumed, whichever is earlier. No where in the AMC, the 6000 litres cap is mentioned. If it is mentioned elsewhere, which I am unaware, how do you expect one to monitor or measure the usage of water in litres, The system provided to me does not have any provision to monitor or measure the delivery or consumption water.
My point is when the AMC is valid till[protected], it is the primary responsibility of Aqugauard to ensure that the water filter works without any breakdown or interupptions. Why should I pay for replacement of the filteres when the AMC is still in force. This amount to deficent in service. Also the behaviour of the technician Mr. Kiran has been very rude.
Because of the neccesity for drinking water, I was forced to get the filters replaced by paying an amount of Rs. 4000.00, which I feel should be refunded by the Co Was this information helpful? |
