I am A.Viswanathan, Retd PA from a Defence Production Unit(Heavy Vehicles Factory) at Avadi, Chennai. From Aug 2024, I am residing in a flat at Ayanampakkan near Mogappair. Since I am not getting a reliable servant maid, I am forced to purchase a vacuum cleaner and dishwasher. As I am 75 years old and have to support my sick wife in all daily activities, I had decided to go in for a good brand like Eureka Forbes vacuum cleaner. Accordingly, I had placed an online order on 11th June 2026 by paying a sum of Rs. 5, 999/-. The product was scheduled to be delivered on June 13, 2026. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, the product has not been delivered yet.
Despite telephone calls, sending emails to their Customer Care Dept, Online Dept as well as Grievance Desk, nothing fruitful has happened till date other than frustration. The behaviour of their Staff seems to be worse than a Govt Organisation. There is no coordination between their Customer Care, Sales Dept and Grievance Desk, . There is no positive feedback till date regarding delivery. The replies are very vague and unacceptable. My complaint to Eureka Forbes Grievance desk has not resulted in any meaningful action, except for a vague assurance conveyed through an email from Mr. Amaan of their Escalation Management Team. Naturally, I am deeply aggrieved by the manner in which the issue has been handled.
I am submitting this complaint to you only to bring to your notice, the lethargic approach of the staff concerned and your intervention to solve the issue as well as justifiable compensation for the mental agony meted out to me by the Company.
Being a company of considerable repute, I am terribly surprised by the lackadaisical approach adopted in addressing a matter of such significant consumer importance. As the very purpose of ordering the Vacuum Cleaner is defeated by the lethargic attitude of the Personnel concerned, I am no more interested to purchase the product from Eureka Forbes. Hence, I hereby request the Honourable Authority to direct Eureka Forbes to resolve the issue without any further delay by refunding the entire amount forthwith, along with reasonable compensation for the mental distress and inconvenience suffered by me over the past 30 days.
