Eureka Forbes — water purifier - improper connection - potential health hazard
I am using the eureka forbes reverse osmosis water purifier since several years and had renewed the annual maintenance contract on 11.08.2020 by making a cheque payment of rs 9400/- (Cheque number being 148543 dated 11.08.2020) of punjab national bank to technician mr tiwari.
Ever since my water purifier was serviced on 11.08.2020, i am facing several issues which has not only taken my significant time for rectification but also wasted my energy in calling the service center and technician innumerable times. Kindly see your service record for clarification.
My last complaint, complaint number being [protected] dated 25.09.2020 08:10 am for the above machine was attended with great difficulty. Moreover just before sending the technician, i was instructed to pay rupees 700/- for the candle filter bowl and the candle (The candle was changed only one month back). Call recording is available with me for your reference.
I am enclosing the terms and conditions of the contract agreed upon by both the parties which do not exclude the candle filter bowl. I have made the payment of rupees four hundred by cheque (Payment receipt number [protected]) as the lady at the service center was adamant that the part needs to be paid for. Moreover, there was reluctance on the part of service center in providing the bill and payment being made by cheque. The lady at the service center was also trying to sell me the candle without any need.
The attitude of the service center is totally unprofessional, rude and hostile. The complaints are attended by face value of technician, who makes a visit without the said parts even when informed well in advance about the actual problem and requirement of parts. The complaint is therefore attended by the technician but not resolved because of 'n' number of excuses.
There was a crack in the bowl of candle filter and technician tiwari bypassed the candle filter and connected the machine directly to the inlet of tap source. Being aware of the adverse effects that may arise by drinking unhealthy water and probable damage to the machine, i switched off my water purifier for safety and security purposes.
I feel that the payment of rupees four hundred made by me for the part was unjustified. I have been harassed by your service center several times compelling me lodge a formal complaint and follow to the top executives of your company and even beyond, if not satisfied by your explanation and resolution.
I am also enclosing the service contract dated 11.08.2020, pictures of improper connection of water purifier to water inlet and payment of rupees four hundred by cheque.
Your company needs to be penalized for providing unsafe water for human consumption by bypassing the candle filter incurring severe health hazards, lack and negligence in providing proper services and selling parts without requirement of the customer to make profit.
