HappyEasyGo — Not refunding on time, using interest free funds and harassing the customer to an extent that his health is suffered.

I am writing this mail to highlight a fraud that your company, 'HappyEasyGo', is involved in. My booking id is[protected], which was made for a stay at Hotel Peninsula Grand in Mumbai on 28th August. The booking was cancelled as the condition of the room was found in a really bad shape in the times of pandemic and hence after struggling a lot with the hotel and your company, a refund was issued by the hotel on 1st of September. I am in touch with both the owner of the hotel (Mr Shashank Shetty) and the manager of the hotel (Mr Tanmay), who have again and again confirmed that the refund was made to the vendor, 'HappyEasyGo' in only 3 days. However, HappyEasyGo has not issued a refund to me till date.

As it happens, I have called the company frequently for the refund status when I was told that it would take at least 14 days for the refund to reflect back into my account. After at least 20 calls to your company and talking to several supervisors, even getting false promises from them, I have not received the refund yet. The Floor Supervisor 'LALIT' even sent an email on 21st September asking for some extra time since it was a special case and promised me that I would receive the refund in the next 7 to 10 days. After which, several other supervisors talked over the call and pleaded for some more time and promised me on 18th October, again giving false promise to refund the amount by this monday, that is today - 25th October.

How can you run this company in such an unprofessional and unethical manner, always asking for extra time to refund the money to innocent customers. In the times when your competitors like MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTrip are doing so well to satisfy their customers, how can you harass a customer to the core that he has to think of filing an FIR in the name of your company including the floor supervisor, LALIT, since he was the point of contact usually. How will you survive in the market when you actually don't understand what customer service means. My question is what does the company do with all the funds they have looted from their customers, do they put them in their account and eat all the interest for an elongated period of time? Do they capitalise on expanding or running operations of the company with all the money they don't really deserve to keep in their accounts? This is a very sensitive case as I am just one customer but Rs 5, 000 from 1000 people in a country with such a high population will fetch you Rs 50, 00, 000 interest free to use for your own expenses. I am sure people want to know about your flawed business model and how you have conned several customers in this pattern.

I have spent at least 20 hours (20 phone calls) trying to get my money back since the past 2 months and there is still no result in the positive manner. My patience is tested now and I will make sure those 20 hours don't go down the drain. I have several emails stating false promises, and several voice recordings to prove my point to millions of people out there who can save themselves and their hard earned money from the evil practices of your company. I am sure every call is recorded from your end too and I demand all the recordings from your company too to present a fair case on social media and for the purpose of FIR too. I will make sure that through the power of social media, I will make your company understand how unethical practices are not really encouraged in these times and what really happens when you harass a customer to this core that too to get his money back. Please provide me with the demanded voice clips so we can move forward. I am filing a case against your company 'HappyEasyGo' along with your floor supervisor 'Lalit' for misleading me several times and claiming false promises on the refund, due to which my mental health has affected significantly. I have faced a hit on my mental and physical wellbeing due to being conned by your company which has resulted in a loss of lots of time, energy, effort which cannot be compensated now. You are free to keep my Rs 5, 000 which you will regret very soon.
