I got admission in ICFAI KOLKATA campus this year. I reachd ther to join the campus.But on d very 1st day of the college on the registeration page they mentioned that they are now affiliated to TRIPURA uni.which will provide a distant learning course.In all other campuses of ICFAI (except HYDERABAD)students revolted, becoz of this the very next day dey said that they have again got affiliation from DEHRADUN uni. IS THIS POSSIBLE 1 DAY THE AFFILIATION IS FROM 1 UNI. NEXT DAY IT IS FROM ANOTHER ??? Strategical planning of Icfai: How to exploit the Distance learning MBA students.

1. Marketing executives are highly paid and well trained how to attract the students by any means, example- today is the last day or yesterday was last but I will manage it, do not worry, your admission will be in back date. A lot of cock & bull stories they will say, as they have been trained by the Adm staff of Icfai. Incentives of Marketing people are direct 20%. Even they used to pay initially for you Rs10000/-.( But behind this master mind works- to catch hold the student) Ready cash university pays to marketing people to do such drama while attracting the students.

2. Icfai wants students like-take admission, pay the money, pay the PDC cheques, forget after wards.

3. Take admission. Appear the first semistar . Pass it any how . Find maximum 99% passing the exam.
See the drama from second semistar. Carry on failing. Register by paying Rs1000/-. Get yourself failed.
If students will pass then where from the income will come? Every University has Two semistars, but this fake University has Four semistars, reason behind, to extract money from the students. If some one workout properly, then will come to know.
I[censored]niversity has 2, 80, 000 students, roughly minimum 1, 00, 000 register in each semister by payingRs1000/-.
Rs1000 X 1, 00, 000 =10, 00, 00, 000 (Ten Crores) X 4 Semistars = 40, 00, 00, 000 ( Forty Crores)
This much amount is verry attractive. But originally the income is more .
So if the students will pass then how the income will generate. Students take admission to increase the funds o[censored]niversity not to build the career. How the mastermind warks to suck the blood of poors.

4. Purposefully the students will be declared pass in 1St semistar, then drama starts of failing.But University declares as It gives quality studies so result is less. But this is an eye wash only. once they don't have studies, how one will expect result.

5. The fake University has a verry good fraud plans, which the students experience in due course. Only money money.


The sources have been extracted from some Ex-employs of the University who some time repent for their misdids of past while working for the fake University. These people should be behind the bars.

Patna campus had 9 faculty members including Campus Head and. The classes were held as per schedule and closely monitored for effectiveness. Other than subject classes, sessions were regularly held in softskills, placement preparation, guest lectures, and other student events.

Patna Campus had a track record of good placements. In the 06-08 batch, 75 students have been placed. Similarly, 42 students in the 07-09 batch and 94 students in the 08-10 batch have been placed. 34, 28 and 24 corporates respectively have recruited students in these years. Students who have not been placed were always given more opportunities than what has been provided in the placement rules. Willing students benefited from this gesture. the comment made by the author was absolutely correct. that guy Mr. Bhowmick was a good for nothing. Being a Branch Manager of the FTP Branch at Ashutosh CHowhdury Avenue- he used to order his subordinates to come at the office by 10:00am where as his usual arrival time in the office was 11:30am. The words he used to use towards the employees were never be encouraging rather than demotivating...
I am not sure where he is working right now but if the Management of that company gets time to read this then they should think twice before going for his appraisal--- may be he is holding a higher post in that organisation but one thing can be assured that his presence is enough to put down an organisation from TOP to BOTTOM...

This mail has brief reference to the telephonic conversation I had with you a few days ago, where in I referred to the complaint posted by you on Consumer Complaints website on 03-07-10.

I also mentioned to you that your complaint was very vague and will not help me to take any remedial action. You stated that you will get back to me in a day or two listing out your specific grievance so that I can address those issues. I waited for more than 3 days and since you have not replied I sought from department concerned all particulars relating to your case.

As per our records you were enrolled in July 2009 MBA Program with Enrollment no.[protected]. You sent us 2 emails one in early July 2009 and the other in September 2009. First email pertaining to enrollment letter and the second email pertaining to starting of training classes. Both these emails were replied promptly by us.

You appeared for the exam in January 2010 and failed. 3 of your post dated cheques ie. For June-July-August are all outstanding. The status of June post dated cheque is awaited.

In view of the fact that you have already corresponded with us and we have promptly replied, we note that you have not raised any grievance in our correspondence. Now suddenly you level allegations against us which are vague and do not refer to any specific issue.

You please note that the language used in your post on the website is defamatory. Despite our request you have not been able to substantiate your allegations.

I now caution you that we will be constrained to take legal action if you pursue this behavior. I now suggest that within 10 days of the receipt of this email, you withdraw your defamatory allegation from the website, failing which we shall be proceeding against you for defamation.

I must also advice you in your own interest that defamation is a criminal offense as per Indian Law and you are liable to be punished.

As i am not present in Delhi, so won't able to reply your mail on time.

This is in reference with our conversation & your queries about writing complaint mail on consumer complaint website.

Last year in 2009, I come to know about ICFAI MBA programme. Then from one of my colleague i come to know about Mr. Sanket Tandon (Territory Manager) of ICFAI gurgaon. I called him up to know further admission policies. ( this is the only mistake i have done)

This man conveyed to that this MBA programme is very flexible only you have to study 1 or 2 days before exams to clear them. He forced me to get enroll, but won't found it suitable so i said i am not interested.

Then suddenly he called me again after few days & said that this is the best time to get admission because from the next month itself the fees is increasing. Then he himself send someone at my place to collect post dated signed cheques & signed application forms. he had not shown me the prospectus & not conveyed about refund policies also.
Force me to do every arrangement of money urgently because last date is coming soon.

Finally i enrolled for the programme, after few months i come to know about case is running against ICFAI regarding the affiliation by government of India. This is very shocking as i[censored]niversity is not able to fulfill the terms & conditions their affiliation will be cancelled by the government.
On the other hand suddenly I had very huge financial problems at my end & its still their. So i decide to discontinue the programme & ask Mr. Tandon for refund. Then he come up in a new face saying that refund is not possible. I said have no money to deposit in bank for smooth flow of post dated cheques.

Then he said showing me law that we can sue you in court as its against the policies o[censored]niversity. also said that the only option for you is to make all payment even if you are not pursuing further.

Know you kindly tell me, this is the way of dealing with a student. once if you are able to make out money from them then for job is over. No reply to personal problems, grievances with them.

When i interested in pursuing this programme & i am not taking classes further for what i am paying money.
I thought this case with me only, but when i checked on Internet, i come to know their 100's of students facing such problems.

Who is responsible for this, why university won't have refund policies. If someone have genuine issue why they are not paid back. We are asking for our money not anyone else.

I need money very seriously & now Mr. tandon said that he left ICFAI. Please help me out of this matter.

I got very frustrated that why i had taken such action. Stop hiring such fraud agents who are creating negative of imagine o[censored]niversity in society.

Please make refund policies for students who need it in bad circumstances.

Request for my money back. I hope that atleast i should get positive response from your end.

Please do not generalise by stating that all ICFAI students are ashamed. I know of many ICFAI graduates who are doing very well. You may be ashamed as you are not successful. Had you studied during the course, you would not have been ashamed today. Its like trying to put the responsibility on the Institution because you are a failure.

You seem to be a student ofd 2007 batch. Then you would have completed the course by April 2009, unless you are repeatedly failing. That may be why you are ashamed. Why instead of checking with the right people 1 year back, you are trying to use this forum to complain asking for a transfer certificate ?

First be clear in your mind that you have wasted your time and parent's money by not puting the right efforts during the course. That seems to be appropriate by looking at your English. Now also instead of trying to get into some good company (offcourse if you have qualified in the exams) you are trying to blame the Institution. Try to bring positivity in your attitude and behave like a MBA and not like a school kid

However as per the current applicable structure the subject (IT & Systems) is in group C of the MBA program. But the subject content is same with no further changes. Hence you may refer the study material available for IT & Systems examination paper in July 2010.

It says "Membership in Icfai alumni Federation" All the students who successfully complete the mba program are eligible to become the members of the icfai alumni federation.

But if you have a look into the cimbag council website i think they have done a fair job .
working with various blue chip companies all over India.To conduct and sponsor seminars, conferences, and executive development programs, research studies, publications and consultancy work aimed at creating and disseminating knowledge and improving professional practice in the area of Management.

I think this will better the chances of an icfai mba completed students getting a job or getting recognized as well. End of the day we will draw some or the other benefit from it for sure.

I don't understand, becoming member how does it personally benifit to me. what in return am i getting by paying Rs 5000/- membership Fees. Does this council has any code of conduct for its member or does it recognised in the industry. there is not special benifit or return as a students we are getting. CIMBAG is the council for the MBA graduates which is providing the networking and other services to the successful graduates. Only successful graduates are eligible to be members of the council. The fee payable is a onetime fee as indicated in the prospectus given at the time of enrollment to you.

It seems we are buying the membership. What type of help it will provide us when I am staying out side of india?

ICFAI — SBI Credit Cards

I Ayub Khan, is a SBI Creidit Card holder with Card no : [protected], using it exclusively by paying every month balances completely before 22nd of every month, since it is issued to me.

My Case is like :

On ____ November, 2006, I droped a HDFC Bank of amount Rs.13250/- in SBI Credit Cards Drop box at SBI Personal Banking Branch at 13th lane, Banjara Hills. Hyderabad. Later after 22nd of November continuous calls started to ring my mobile stating that no payment is made and later when I briefed that I had dropped cheque, every person who called me talked violently stating that no cheque is received and make cash payment immediately to our collection boy whom we are sending now. I though may be I made any mistake entry in cheque or something else, and any how I need to pay for which I utilized, I made the cash payment of Rs.13250/- to collection boy named “Bharat Reddy” whose mobile no : [protected] on 8th Dec’ 2006, with Receiptno : 6400395 (Enclosed zerox of the receipt). At that time of payment I clearly conveyed that boy, requesting him to convey my case details to his higher authorities, as on how my cheques are missing due to which I got pay late fine and Finance charges unnecessarily. And next time, if same repeats I am not going to pay single paise.

Again on 18th January, 2007, I again droped a HDFC Bank Cheque no : 339457 of amount Rs.37500/- in same SBI Credit Cards Drop box at SBI Personal Banking Branch at 13th lane, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Later after 22nd of January, 2007 continuous calls started to ring my mobile stating that no payment is made and later when I briefed again that I dropped cheque with so and so number and date, but to my mercy no one believed me and talked reluctantly stating that no cheque is received and you make a cash payment, which I denied to pay with late fee and finance charges for the mistake I haven’t made or tell me what is my mistake. I patiently requested every person who called me stating to please find as where my cheques are missing. From that time to now I received around 200 to 250 calls during my office hours ( 9 AM to 6 PM) from various SBI Credit cards and Recovery departments and I responded to patiently spending 15mins at an average on each phone call, explaining my case and requesting to sort out my cheques.

Recently one or two months back, I received 15-20 calls from your SBI recovery head named Jitendra with, whom again I explained my case with all my patience.

Since 10 days back I received around 50 calls to my mobile and office land line no’s from person named Sujatha stating the same as my cheques are not received, do make cash payment.

Later I received 10 calls from Mr. David, Manager Recevory Dept, GE, again stating same and was called to his GE-SBI Cards office at Begumpet, Hyderabad on 20th August, 2007. I went to the called destination and after facing lot of insulting argument, I requested Mr.David to check the register or database of cheques received on daily basis. Then when checked with Mr.Gopi, Operations Manager it got to the notice that my last two cheques are found and are not submitted to bank as they are non-micr cheques.


Finally, because of your organization and its employee’s mistake, for last six months I suffered

1. Severe Harassment thru phone calls leading me to mental depression
2. Wasting my official time of (250 x 15) 3750 mins, ie 62 working hrs, ie nearly 8 working days. Due to this, I am afraid whether I could loss my job.
3. Lost my personal image at office and home in front of my colleagues, friends and family members.

Due to this loss of time and goodwill, I demand your organization to pay me a compensation of Rs.2 Lakhs

Later after I get my demanded compensation, I wish that, my non-submitted cheques to be returned back to me. I will confirm them whether they are micr or non-micr with my eyes, cause now I don’t have any belief in your organization / your employees. Later if they are found to be non micr, then I will issue new cheques. I have 100% confidence that the cheques I gave are micr.

most of the student i have seen that they have not read the pospectus given by university.every thingh is mention on the prospectus moreover all detail is given on website of the university.some of the case is jenioun and maximum fault is of student as they are not take complite information from university.

I am also one of the victims of mean behaviour of ICFAI. I have lodged complaint regarding not receiving a single book under edwantage free book scheme from ICFAI. Even after writing many emails to the concerned authority, I got no response and was really disapointed with the kind of service provided by the ICFAI. I do believe this is injustice on the part of students who fell prey of ICFAI and those who are receiving legal notices.

I sincerely feel ampathy towards the students who are getting legal notices.

The prospectus and the regulation of the program clearly indicates that there is no provision for refund of the program fee. You have enrolled into program in the year 2004 and received the courseware as applicable, the professional magazine and other services till date.

Iam not sure about this. if you decide to have a refund it should have been done earlier atlest by 6 months aftre joining date.

The commitment of ICFAI Head quarters against Students complaint is greatly appreciated..i am so pleased that i have been cleard my doubts regarding my caution deposit very next day of my complaint..it was my mistake..i was not much aware about the fees structure..instead of students activity fund i thought its an caution deposit which will get back me after my course..so i came to know that there was no caution deposit in the year of 2007

As I have already filed complaint named "Regarding my PDC", in which it is written that My cheque was dishonoured, but now i am taking back my complaint, now i have no issues regarding ICFAI National College as of now.
