Respected sir : I am studying M.E in noorul islam university at kumaracoil , kaniyakumari dist , I had been applied for higher education loan on Indian overseas bank at dohnavur (1379) on 07 october 2009 and the branch manager told that he will give loan with in month based on that I was paid my first semester fees and continue my study . but later on the branch manager asked me to deposit 2 lakh rupees as a surety but Iam not able to deposit the amount which the branch manager require. moreover my father have an account with same branch SB/AC 3905 . then iam frequently met the branch manager regarding my education loan but he told me to go tirunelveli regional office based on his advise I went to tirunelveli regional office and met Mr. CHANDRA BOSE who is the education loan sanction officer . he review my application which was in his table and he told me that he will give me the loan with in a week . i was waited over month but iam not got any response from them. then I went to dohnavur branch and asking the branch manager regarding loan he told that IOB will not give loan for PG course(M.E) they will give loan only for UG (BE)
If the bank will not providing the loan for PG then why he received my application form.
Please advice me how can I get the loan to complete the study.
Please take necessary action and get me education loan soon . Please help me to continue my study

I have applied for a study loan at Maligaon IOB, Guwahati-11 for MBA(Full time)Course in Bangalore.My college name is Bhagaban Mahaveer Jain college, Bangalore(Jayanagar).The Manager of our bank refusing to give the above mention loan.I have applied 400000.00 out of 550000.00.he has return the all documents to us.my college is a UGC recognized (Central University).Why he refusing I don't know.
That Sir, Please find out why he refusing and allow me to take the Loan which I shall be remain ever grateful to you.

    Thomas mount Branch !. Even a RTO office is far better....in that bank you can see some old guys as staff having high B.P, whatever v asked they are replyng n high temper9( Hope they still think its 1980s). The reson behind the long ’Q’ in frnt of cash counter is because of the IOB ATM working next to the bank. hardly 2 or 3 hrs it ll work in a day fr thepast 2yrs(am stayng next to this). once i saw a guy stamping on it bec of his anger. 99% of the users ll curse this branch & none of the staff is ready to reply properly for this compaint which v made several times ....u can hav a direct visit whn u get time to knw mor facts....thank u

      Hi ,i had a bitter experience with IOB were i get my Sal credited i had my net banking activated the time i got the account so i had not used it for a long time so cause of that i tried to login with the details i had and so i had forgotten the password so as per the banks requirement then i did receive a mail telling i should use my net banking login id to open to get the password ,but wen i tried it i could not get it i personally went...

      hi,

      I was went to dindigul IOB branch to apply educational loan for me... But before that i had applied in online... I said this to that particular officer then he said bring that online registration conformation sheet. But i couldn't get it in web.... Say me a better solution for this and also what is proper procedure for online registration for educational loan in Indian Overseas Bank...........

      IOB — educational loan

      I am raju, narayanapuram village, vaniyambadi tk, vellore dist.
      i am studying in dhanalakshmi srinivasan college and technaolgy
      my neareat Bank is IOB andiyapannur. i asked educational loan for some times
      But the manager said only give hostel or titution fees not both.
      so i want to complaint in consumer court in vellore district.

      my brother is doing MCA,second year.he got the educational loan in IOB,palani. now he wants to pay the third year fee in his college. our finance minister said that interest are cancelled for educational loan ..but IOB ask to pay interest to get next cheque for my brothers next semester.. for that what we have to do?may we know about this through the RTI?

        Worst teatment to a non-IOB customer from it's so called Branch Manager and the lady who was in-charge of ATM machine (the person who keep the key).

        Right after entering the figure, it took few seconds and it asked for the pin again and asked for the money to withdraw again, it asked for pin again. I tried 2 times, and went inside the bank to help me to takeout the card.

        The manager and employees did not wanted to help, meaning nobody was bothering to listen first. Later then the manager asked to see a lady who is in-charge. She talked in Tamil and looked at ground and made noice that she cannot take it. When asked again, she asked me to come tomorrow in such a way that teens will hate to listen and respond. I have requested her to show some manners, but she was senseless, then I went to manager to seek help if he could. He was hopeless and kept saying only that lady can help but she seems busy.

        I could have very well accepted the fact that I need to come later to collect, but the way they presented was terrible. The lady made me drive nuts with her attitude and power. First-time worst experience of it's kind in an Indian Bank, and that too a lady in-charge of ATM machine. Horrible experience from a BANK in 21'st century.

        I am not sure whether this is the kind of treatment for non-IOB customer in all offices, but I guess it is not not any different by learning from one.

        IOB is not any better, so we cannot expect any better. We hate this bank, I dont think any teenager or good organization prefer to do banking with Indian Overseas Bank. This bank will dye soon!!!
        IOB Worst Bank in Chennai.. IOB ATM never dispenses cash withdrawn from other bank ATM cards. Frustrating thing is the cash dint get credited automatically the next day. We have to go to the base branch n give claim form to claim our own money. U will be punished i[censored] go to IOB ATM.. Be aware of IOB faults and dont use IOB ATM anywhere..

          My father in law passed away a month ago. He was a Port Trust employee who worked diligently for 37 years and retired. His pension account was managed by IOB Purasaiwakkam Chennai which accordng to me is the most pathetic and horrible place to put your money into. The employees of IOB including the Manager need a customer handling and suppor training. After my father in laws death my mother in law went to change her name in is pension account and o our shocks the employees have been treating her like a begger and making her un from piller to post just to withdraw her husbands hard earned money. They are acting as thought they are shelling out money from their own pockets. I have been to several countries and have observed the courtesy and concern people show to bereaved and other people who have come to claim their rights has left me wondering whether this country willever change. Its high tme the goverment simplify these cumbersome routine and hire decent well edcated and articulate people for these iportant banking osts instead of pot bellied ill tempered ill mannared selfish uneducated old men.

              I have an Account in IOB FORD INDIA EXTENSION COUNTER. My A/C no 806. I have three ECS processed from this a/c no for the past five years. But for the month of december 09 the ECS for the amount of 4966 and 1966 has not been deducted. I enquired with the bank and was literally shocked to hear the reason that due to insufficient fund my ECS has been rejected where as I have sufficient fund on my account. MOre over I proved them that I had suficient balance on my account and they say that you are having account in FORD EC and the ECS is being processed by IOB MM Nagar branch.There has been some manpower constraint in the branch and hence new person done the looking after the ECS deduction for this month does not aware that this ECS is for the Account of FORD EC. I faced the same issue in the month of October also.I faced a huge level of depression and mental stress due to tis. I also have to pay extra charges as a penalty and more over I have to avail Leave from my office for paying the Same.MOre over This default will also refelct in my CIBEL. Hence I need justice.

                i am existing customer in IOB, egmore branch
                I am stay by guindy (near by race course), iob atm's near by adambakkam available in 2 atm's. but that atm is useless. last few months (past 4 months ) very troubled the atm's, month end (25th to 31st) and month first (1st to 5th) that atms not working, particularly near St Thomas monut Rly St. IOB atm get the messages under supervisor controlled, under maintenance, cash out or internet slow (processing but cash failed), i take the money in other bank atms in past months, do u want proof atm activity details check
                very very worst bank of the country, no development and facilities.


                My suggestion is don't open the account in IOB (my experience)

                ATM NOT WORKING — ATM NOT WORKING

                I AM A RESIDENT OF NTPC-TANDA, DISTT.-AMBEDKARNAGAR(UP). AN ATM MACHINE WAS INSTALLED IN OUR TOWNSHIP IN 2002. THE SHUTTER OF THIS ATM IS LOCKED BY SBI OFFICIAL DUE TO SOME DEFECT SINCE LAST ONE MONTH.NO EFFORT IS BEING MADE BY SBI OFFICIALS TO REVIVE THE SAME. WE ARE FACING PROBLMS.

                  the slogan of IOB BANK is [good people to grow with] but with ATMs of IOB in puducherry state is changed as"Good people should die with IOB ATMs.The lawspet branch ATM is allways closed,the MAIN BRANCH ATM works without cash inside and works when it thinks.The manager of the consern branch does not bother about the coustmers inconvenience.Please make the ATM center to work otherwise lock with aBIG DINDUGAL LOCK.

                    sub : Compassionate appointment for me Yoganandh.k s/o p.m.kandeepan(late)Roll No.16124. worked in Indian Overseas Bank at Brammadesam Branch.

                    My father was appointed in the Indian Overseas Bank in the year 1979.(No.16124).when he was working in the Brammadesam Branch, on 01.08.2009 he died in the road accident in the age of 47.
                    In reply to my application for my appointment in Indian Overseas Bank on compassionate ground, I am given to understand that due to the punishment of stoppage of 5 increments with cumulative effect given to my father during his service period, I was denied of the appointment on compassionate ground.

                    This clause restraining appointment for their heirs of the employees who died in service period on the basis of the punishment given to them was not stipulated in the Central Government, State Government and the other Banks rules regulations
                    Even the heirs of the employees who died at the time of suspension in their service period are eligible to get appointment on compassionate ground.

                    My mother due to domestic circumstances is not is in a position seek bank appointment. Till date I am an unemployed person and the income to my family is very meagre for the needs of four persons.

                    Hence, I request you to sympathetically reconsider my plea for my appointment in Indian Overseas Bank on compassionate grounds and assure you that I will discharge my duties to the entire satisfaction of my superiors.

                    I shall be thankful for a favorable response from you at an early date.

                    after death of my father our family face many problem . he has not aslo under pension scheme .i apply for the same job under Compassionate appointment.

                    if a person keep all the requirements that a bank wants for the post i feel their is no problem for giving him job on the compassionate ground. if there is no problem in central government deptt. and state gov. deptt. what is the problem in banking sector. there is a resposibility of a bank that they do something for employee's family in their hard time.
                    My younger brother Basab Kanti Dutta, Assistant Manager, SBI, Mushalpur Branch died in harness on 24th Jan 2010 within 5 minutes of Stroke. He had rendered only 16 years of service with the organization. He left behind his widow aged 35 yrs, two minor daughters aged 11 and 03 years respectively apart from his old aged parents. From the letter of local head office, Guwahati, it is observed that a lump sum amount would be given to the deceased family in lieu of compassionate appointment. This is not fair. The deceased widow is a qualified lady. Her educational qualification is BA, BEd. Although she had reluctantly filled up the prescribed form for grant of lump sum amount that was provided along with the pension, gratuity etc papers, at the same she had applied for compassionate appointment to the authority concerned. Is not this case could be treated as a exceptional case fit for compassionate appointment? The authority concerned of the SBI is requested to treat this case accordingly and give relief to the deceased family, since the deceased was the lone breadwinning member of the family. I appeal to every body to support this case and mount pressure to the appointing authority to concede the appeal of the widow.

                        My Daughter : J.ASHWINI 80% B.E, SENGUNTHAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING FOR WOMEN,TIRUCHENGODE, through Government counseling.

                        I have to apply educational loan for my Daughter, I quoted Rs. 3.88 Lakes for four years in the application, with all necessary credentials.

                        When I went to the INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK on 26.08.2009 with the applications, the Manager sarcastically asked me, if you expect all of your wards educational expenses to be paid by our bank, what was the role of you as a father. Are you not ashamed of being a father, He continued, if all the money was given by us your Daughter would not take care to study, because the money was coming free of hardship and ultimately he would ruin himself, he said.

                        I was totally shocked to hear such words from a responsible manager.
                        He also said, I can give only Rs. 32,000/-. If interested come, otherwise go else where.

                        The donor to beggar attitude of the manager and the cruelty in his words made me sleepless that night.

                        Where else to go? I come to you for redresser. Please take some action on the outrageous, uncalled-for immodest words of the Manager, for at least it should not happen to others.

                          I have a saving a/c numbered 000593 at IOB, Jasola Branch, New Delhi. On 20 November 2009, i made an attempt to withdraw Rs. 1500 (One thousand and five hundred) from an BOB ATM counter (ATM ID. [protected]) at Patparganj (Near Mother Dairy), New Delhi - 110092. I received a failure (message shows some technical error) report. However this amount has been debited to my account.

                          I have informed same day to customer care then he said amount should credited within 24 hours. Then till time we have not received above mentioned amount in my account. Then we again called to customer care then he gave me complaint number - T[protected]. To till date we have not received any response in your side.

                          Kindly suggest me, what I will do now for return back the amount to my account?

                            This is to bring to your notice that I am a NRE account holder of your bank:

                            I have been often sending remittances in your bank for several years and from Zambia past 01 & 1/2 year. My remittances sent from Zambia used to get remitted in my account latest by the 15th to 16th of every month. But now since 03 months it is being remitted very late and I am getting only after 21st to 23rd of the month.
                            I have checked with my office and with bank officials and the response stated below is the self explanatory. It seems your bank (perambur br) is holding my money and remitting late in to my account.
                            I here by request you to kindly look in this matter seriously and ensure that my remittances are not being held with no reasons at all and should be remitted to my A/C ASAP.
                            If this continues further then I will not have any option than to stop sending further remittances to your bank and I will be forced to withdraw my A/c from your bank.

                            I will appreciate if you kindly rendered your assistance to solve this issue if any and ensure in future that I get all my remittances soon in to my A/C as used to be before.

                                I lost my iob Debit card i am trying for more than 6 hours but not able to reach the customer care. Think there is only one landline and only one person is attending the call. Very worst service i have ever seen.

                                i have applied to ATM card dated on sep 10. but i not yet get my card, so please make the favour to me
                                i am very my irritated for the service of IOB bank my collegue deposited the cheque on 4/4/2012 and not yet credited to my account i tried to reach the customer care landline no from past weak till now i am not yet get the call i dont know how to get my money and they are very irresponisble
                                I am very much dissatisfied with the customer services rendered by IOB staffs chennai Branch.
                                I went for the adding the new name in the IOB account in the afternoon ( AS INFORMED BY THE STAFF )where the staff was not seen anywhere in the branch.But the Asst manager incharge does not attend it and asked me to wait for more than half an hour. Then the concern person came from outside and said me to come in the morning hours.

                                No correct information is given to the customers about the timings and procedures for doing the work.

                                If anyone want to WASTE THE TIME, MONEY AND ENERGY, PLEASE GO TO IOB BANK.

                                The IOB bank Account holders should be ashamed for having an account in such a WORST BANK with VERY POOOOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

                                The higher officials are responsible for such a poor service rendered to the customers.Please take immediate action.
                                I totally agree with all of you. I was trying to add Netbanking option to my account and man it took them 6 months to do it. Not to mention the back and forth call plus me going in person. Still it is incomplete :-( I don't know why they would have an online option if they ask us to go in person for every request.
