Dear Sir,
I am Dr. Prashant Shukla, Assistant Professor in NOIDA (U.P.). I have
booked e-ticket for my 62 year old mother seeking senior citizen
concession on 16-Jan-2015 through IRCTC from Etawah to New Delhi for
24-Jan-2015 in 12033 CNB-NDLS Shatabdi Exp. Via PNR No. [protected] and
Transaction ID: [protected].
The e-ticket was confirmed. But due to extreme fog those days on Railway
Tracks mostly all the trains were running late. This train got delayed by
almost 18 hrs on 24-Jan-2015. At last my mother could not travel during
severe cold nights of January as scheduled arrival of the train at Etawah
station was found to be around 12:20 AM i.e. 25-Jan-2015 as confirmed from
the RTI petition MORLY/R/2015/63084 filed and the response is attached
herewith.
Please find attached the TDR Transaction Details and the Train Running
History obtained from http://runningstatus.in/history/12033/thisyear.
Hence, I filed the TDR on 24-Jan-2015 at 23:16:27 HRS i.e. much before the
actual departure of the train from Etawah, the boarding station where the
train actually arrived at around 12:20 AM next day i.e. 25-Jan-2015. I
kept on waiting for my money to be refunded back to me for almost 4
months.
But that was indeed very shocking and annoying that on 06/04/2015 I came
to know that the TDR application filed by me was rejected on 02/04/15 due
to the reason that 'TDR NOT FILED WITHIN ACTUAL DEPARTURE OF TRAIN'. It
can easily be revealed from the Train Running History and the RTI RESPONSE
that the train started from Kanpur Central at 10:45 PM on 24th, Jan and
reached New Delhi at 05:10 AM on 25th, Jan. The train got delayed by 17
HRS 50 MINS that day due to heavy fog. Then how come the train can cross
Etawah Station in just 20 mins.
Moreover, the TDR History of the disputed above mentioned (highlighted in
yellow) Transaction have been deleted from my IRCTC account: poojijana.
Whereas, the TDR History of 2011 is still there on my IRCTC LOGIN (please
see the Screen Shot file attached).
I have spoken with several customer care executives from IRCTC on Ph. No.
[protected] and dropped countless mails to
[protected]@irctc.co.in,
[protected]@irctc.co.in and
[protected]@irctc.co.in but I quote here a few
email replies for your ready reference that I received from them. I have
also dropped many emails to the highest authorities of Indian Railways.
Please find the file of the email correspondences attached.
Kindly issue your instructions to re-open, re-investigate and re-verify my
TDR Application in 07 days from now else I shall have no other option left
but to file a legal petition in consumer court against Northern Railways
Claims Department and IRCTC.
