Indian Railways — late running of trains, poor support and improper behavior from staff

I booked a tatkal ticket on train no 22667 coimbatore exp with pnr no. [protected], with boarding station as nagercoil junction (Ncj), date of journey 3rd december 2017, time of departure 21:30.

My home town is in balaramapuram (Bram) which is almost 55 km from ncj. I usually boards 56313 (Tiruvananthapuram cental - nagercoil passenger) (Bram departure time 18:23, ncj arrival time 19:55) to reach ncj to board train no. 22667. On the day as usual, i took ticket from bram to ncj. But as the train hadn't arrived till 18:45, i checked train status in my mobile and it showed the train 56313 hadn't departed yet from the starting station trivandrum central. I also found another train 56315 (Thiruvananthapuram - nagercoil passenger) was still halting at nemom station, station just before bram.

While taking ticket, the staff hadn't informed me about the late running of trains. So i again reached the counter, informed details about the train i need to catch and inquired the cause of delay. I also inquired whether train 56315 will come soon or should i arrange other mode of transportation. But the staff's response was rude. He replied he haven't been informed about the reason for delay and told me to use some android app if i need to get any information. I requested him to contact nemom station and provide information, but he was reluctant to get information and started to shout on me.

When i rechecked train status for 56315, it showed the train departed nemom station by 18:49. On the hope the train won't be delayed in any other station, i boarded the train. But the train halted at the very next station, neyyatinkara (Nyy).

So i inquired staff's in nyy about the delay. The staff's there were very helping. They informed the train will depart only after 20:30. They also informed the delay was due to some work near kulitturai, a station yet to arrive, and it was already informed at every station about the delay. They were asking haven't i been informed about the delay while taking ticket.
There were many other passengers too in train 56315, who needed to board train 22667. And it was too late for us to arrange other mode of transport to reach ncj.

So the staff's there suggested us to take ticket and board train no. 16724 ananthapuri express, which was already running late and will reach nyy soon. They informed train 16724 will leave before train 56315 and if no delay occurs, the train will reach ncj before 21:30. They also called ncj station and informed about the situation and requested to delay train 22667 for few minutes, if in any case train 16724 got delayed.

The train left nyy by 20:11 and ran without any delays. The train reached near to ncj by 21:15. But the train was halted few kilometers before ncj in some deserted outer location. The train halted there for almost 20-25 mins and was taken into ncj station only by 21:46.
But by that time the train 22667 was long gone. It left station exactly at 21:30.

As it was important for me to report for work the very next day, i was forced to travel in general compartments. I had to take new tickets and to board multiple trains to reach erode. I couldn't even sleep for half an hour during the journey.

The bram station staff should have informed me about the delay when i was taking ticket. I could have arranged some other mode of transportation to reach ncj, if i was properly informed, at least when i made the inquiry.
And in ncj, train 16724 could have reached ncj before 21:25.

I request to take necessary steps to provide refund for ticket with pnr no. [protected], to provide proper compensations for the mental, physical and financial stress i had underwent and to take proper disciplinary action towards the staff in bram station for his irresponsible and rude actions.

Note: the name of bram staff is not known; but he is the only ticket counter staff i had seen there for more than a year. As of my knowledge he is the only staff over there.
