Indian Railways — refused to credit refund as the ticket was cancelled online from source station | |||
Dear sir/ma'am, This is with due respect to the the gorakhpur reservation counter staff i come to you with my grievance/night mare my family had to face in cancelling the waiting list ticket (Which is not yet confirmed) for train gorakhpur exp:, 12591, pnr: [protected] which will depart from gorakhpur station tomorrow morning[protected] at 6:35 am (Now delayed by 15 hrs). Unfortunately we got no support from any reservation booking counter staff in gorakhpur (Gorakh shala booking center), who mis guided us stating that we can cancel it even from remote centers in delhi. As we were getting late and had a train to catch, we believed him and headed to delhi and then we were told that we need to do it from gorakhpur only. This has been a very painful experience for us. I hope you understand and kindly advise us on the same. Also, this is a waiting list ticket, and we had a family of 4 people with 1 kid and 2 senior people who couldn't afford to travel without confirmation. We had produced the original tickets at both the stations. The train is also delayed by 15 hours and we also tried to get the refund from stations like lucknow, nagpur, balarshah, anant vihar and h nizzamudin but unfortunately we didn't receive the refund. Since this is a waiting list ticket, i hope you will understand our grievance and help us recieve the refund of rs 8480/- I have also filed tdr for refund via [protected]@irctc.co.in.
