[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — airlines - passengers not allowed to board

Hi team,

I'm writing on behalf of my parents who reached airport 5 min after the allowed check-in time for the obvious reason - bangalore traffic and the people standing outside for getting into the airport. When they reached the checkin counter it was 9am and the airline staff didnt even tried to accomodate them. They were asked to wait till 2pm for the next flight and charged rs 3000. How can the staff be so irresponsible where they ask old people to wait for so long when they could accomodate in their original flight. Very disgusting staff as they didnt behave with them properly as when they were checking with them the next course of action, the staff was more concerned about the people standing behind and didn't listen to my parents.

Time of flight - 9:40 am
Origin & destination - bangalore to bhubaneswar
Resolution - refund of additional amount charged for next flight which is rs 3000.

We totally understand the discomfort passenger must have felt. However, to ensure a hassle-free experience for everyone, we have to follow certain protocols like closing the check-in counter before 45 mins of flight departure. Also, we advise our passengers to reach the airport 2 hrs prior to the scheduled departure to avoid any last min hassle. Sadly, passengers had reported after counter closure, hence we were unable to allow you onboard. Please know that re-accommodation in the next available flight is subject to seat available and payment of applicable charges. We hope that you understand.
