I, Rahul Das Gupta, had received a job offer from the Airport Authority of India through the job website, shine.com. The application document and invoice are attached herewith, both of which have the Indigo logo on them. I had submitted proof of my latest educational qualification and Aadhar card for the application, following which I had to pay Rs. 2150 as application fee. I was contacted by Anjali Sharma (Ph. No: [protected]), Shivangi (Ph. no: [protected]) and Satyam Bhargav (Ph. no: [protected]). Following the interview by the HR representative Satyam Bhargav, I refused the job offer and requested to withdraw the job application. I did not want to shift to a medical lab, without a technical interview or any knowledge of the kind of work.
One week later, I was contacted again by the same people, mentioning that I will get the application fee refunded if I pay additional fees, which included a late fee of 3000 (for not asking the refund right after the interview) and file processing fee of 5000. I was forced to give these amounts through 2-3 phone calls, within a time of 1 - 2 hours. Following the payment of these amounts, the HR asked for a sum of Rs. 10200, which he mentioned is a security deposit. Before each transaction, I was told that I would be refunded the entire amount (except Rs. 500). Throughout the entire period, I was not given any written terms and conditions, mentioning these amounts. However, I realized too late that the entire application is from a fake group of people.
Unfortunately, I noticed the caution in the indigo website, only after I had paid Rs. 10150.
