[Resolved] Indigo Airlines — not providing a print of ticket | |||
My name is kishore menon father of captain (First officer) kiran kishore Was on standby on flight 6e232 from chennai to bangalore on 23.04 2018 The flight was schedule for departure at 2115 hrs. I reported at the indigo Counter at 2015 hrs and approached the attendent at the counter for a print Out of my ticket so as to get inside the airport for further procedures. She told me that i was not entitiled for a print out and that i show my mail To the security and get inside. I told her politely that i dont receive mails on My email id and the mail for the staff travel will be on my sons mail id and That i have a message to that affect and the security does not accept messages for entry i was shocked to know that she was even unaware of This. Then she demanded that i pay rs 50 for a print out, in the manner she Was handling things i realised that she is either new at her seat or totally Ignorant of even the basics. I asked for the manager one ms rithika, hoping I have spelled her name correctly, came to the counter, and told the dealing Clerk that she give me a print out, then again both of them discussed some Thing and the senior asked me to pay for the print out or get inside showing The mail i said i dont have a mail with me and was on staff travel. She told Me that iam not a staff and it was only a help extended the most embrassing Statement that probably can be told to a captains faher. I still kept my cool And told her that i believe and rightly so i presume, that it is not a help it Is my entitlement extended by the airline and iam proud of it. What ever said And done she refused to budge, i told her that if i missed the flight she will Be held responsible, she told me she couldnt care and left the counter. By the time it was almost 2045 hrs i spoke to my son and finally made the Payment to get inside, boarding had allready started and i had a lot of requesting to do, and just about managed to take the flight. Verified Support Apr 25, 2018 IndiGo Customer Care's response Hi Kishore, We would like to inform you that passenger can show the email itinerary in the mobile phone or required to show the print out of the ticket which may also be taken from the airport check-in counter at charge of INR 50. Further, we wish to mention that we certainly put focus on displaying customer service skills at all times during conversation with the passengers, thus we realize that there is certainly a scope of improvement. We would like to assure you that we have shared your feedback with our Chennai airport manager to ensure that the concerned staff member is counseled to be extremely courteous, responsible and sensitive while assisting passengers at the airport.
