[Resolved] Indigo Airlines — seat allocation while travelling with infant | |
Team, i travelled with an infant in india for the first time and expected a smooth hassle free experience. Given that we pay the infant fee, the least expected out of the airline is to be provided with comfortable and infant suitable seats while not disturbing the other passengers. I have seen ideally that passengers with infants are allocated the front row seats in order to allow fast boarding and getting off and also to allow the infants to be handled safely, because no one in the front is reclining or nothing is hindering the child's unexpected movements even if the child is in the parent's lap. Given the infant is not allocated a seat neither is allowed any baggage and still charged for the flight, the least expected is to be allocated with suitable seats. It's very disappointing and sad to have gone through this with the airline. I was also not allowed to book my own seat prior to the travel quoting that suitable suits would be allocated as we have an infant in the itinerary and still we're allocated normal seats at the check-in counter.
