Indigo Airlines — Shashank Maharana online fraud of INR 135,215 under pretext of booking flight tickets

I am a resident of Toronto, Ontario. Before relocating to Canada, I lived in Bandra, Mumbai. Shashank and I have been friends on Facebook since 2012. He used to message me on Facebook Messenger sometimes and we used to exchange a few general messages. During these conversations, he told me that he works at Interglobe Enterprises (Indigo Airlines) as an Airport Operations and Customer Service representative (AOCS), and he could help me get discounted tickets under a family plan, exclusive to Indigo employees. My mother was supposed to be flying to Toronto, Canada on April 10, 2022 and so I took up Shashank’s offer for purchasing flight tickets.

Between March 21, 2022 and March 31, 2022, I exchanged multiple messages on WhatsApp messenger mobile app (chat screenshots can be provided). I sent Shashank a total of INR 135, 215.46 via Remitly payment service to the accounts that Shashank told me belonged to his company administrative head. After sending all the payments, Shashank stopped responding to my WhatsApp texts. All calls to his mobile number are going straight to voicemail. He has ran away with my money.

Further research revealed that he no longer works at Indigo (left the company on Aug 14, 2018), however, his LinkedIn profile says that he is still working at Indigo, and he is defaming your company by claiming to still be an employee:

Google search has revealed that he has scammed several other people in a similar way :

There are police complaints filed against him at LT Marg Police Station and Vashi Police Station. I have filed an FIR with the Mumbai Police wrt this specific case (details can be shared), and we need further co-operation from you in finding this person. Please provide his address details (which should be on your company records from his prior employment with you), along with any other details so I can share this with the Mumbai Police as part of the ongoing investigation. If this information cannot be shared directly here, please provide a number and name that I can contact so I can procure this info and hand it over to the police.
