I had booked bus tickets from Pondichery to Coimbatore on 02/06/2013 at 9.15pm through online in kallada travels. I had booked 5 tickets ,the fare being Rs.3950/-We came to the travelsoffice by 0830pm.We were made to wait and then asked to board a van.We were dropped in a place called villupuram,40kms from Pondy and were informed that bus to cbe will come by 1230.We were not even given a place to sit and were made to sit on the platform.Myself with 3 kids were made to wait for one hour in the night.We waited there and the bus came by 12.For the running hrs of 5hrs15min from villupuram to cbe ,they have charged a fare of Rs.790/-per head.We were not informed that the place of boarding will be villupuram at the time of booking the tickets.That too making the passengers wait on the road in the night at 11pm is highly atrocious.Kindly take necessary action so that this may not be repeated to other passengers in the future.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    Ref:Chennai to kannur travel in Kallada travels.Travel date: May[protected]
    Sub: Bad bad review for Kallada travels (chennai- Kannur)

    My rating for the bus, punctuality, customer service, and all-in-all would be 0 for Kallada travels. This is my 3rd time with Kallada travels, each time the experience has been worst.

    1. Pickup location. The pickup point for location Tambaram was given as 'Adayar bakery', which is about 8-10kms distance away from tambaram main junction. Actually the pickup location was 'Hindu mission hospital' which is close to main junction. We had to pay 200Rs to travel to the mentioned location and then come back to actual pickup point.
    The point is Kallada travels does not care about informing the passangers about this or Update the location to travel portals like makemytrip, yatra, redbus etc.
    When we pinpointed this to the bus driver/conductor, they were asking to tell MakeMytrip to update. Woww....

    2. Punctuality: Bus was supposed to reach at 9.40pm at tamabaram. The actual tie it arrived was 10.45pm.. Great punctuality...

    3. Customer service and customer interaction: No one ever picks up the contact number (mobile or landline) when we call. For the lucky (extremely patient one to dial it a 100 times) one who gets it, the attitude of Kallada travels to the customer is very very rude. The same is the case with the bus attenders/drivers.

    4. Bus quality: Supposed to be a multi-axle. Badly badly maintained. I think they are not doing regular service for it. Heard from one of the fellow passengers that the bus had met with an accident one week before, this was evident from the front guard which was replaced one with a cheap chinese looking one. The driving is nothing short than rash.

    5. The most important part: Bus was supposed to reach Kannur at 11am next morning. The bus had a mechanical trouble midway (~100kms from Chennai) and instead of calling a mechanic or informing to get another bus, the bus attenders/drivers wasted 2-3 hours trying to patch up. Finally when it was done, for the remaining part of the journey, the driving was so rash. No wonder the bus gets into accidents. The bus reached at 3.30pm or so at Calicut.

    6. It is supposed to be Chennai to Kannur bus. Actually, the bus is only till Calicut and from there they provide a taxi/cab. A not so well maintained cab in which they put in maximum number of passengers for calicut to Kannur journey. This is never mentioned in the bus ticket or any time during booking.

    By the time we reached Kannur, it was around 4.30-5pm. 5 hours late than mentioned time.

    I know even putting this review has no use, since we have to depend on these kind of travels in routes where they have an autonomy, cheating customers, squeezing money from them.

      Horrible experience with booking in Kallada Travels.

      I have booked a ticket in Kallada travels (non-AC sleeper – Alleppey to Bangalore) for 20th may, 2013. The scheduled time was 6:15 from the kallada Alleppey office YMCA Junction; but bus came 45 min late and not only this; the bus didn’t stop at the Alleppey stand and went without picking passengers. There were total 5 Passenger missed out.

      The kallada office personals taking no responsibility about this and telling me they are helpless. While calling to their customer care no.[protected] it was showing number out of service, so pathetic, tried another mobile number ([protected]), this time one guy picked and confirmed that it belongs to kallada,Kochi Office, Chittor road. But as soon as i told my problem that this guy stopped speaking and not speaking at all. i disconnected the call and called again, this time my call was not being taken. it shows real avoidance of customer concern and safety.

      I felt Kallada Travels knows only to take money from customers, and later no care about their travel comfort, Time and safety. It was a very frustrating and bad experience for me, waiting more that 2.30 hrs in heavy rain and catching another KSRTC bus to Bangalore; paying extra Rs 400/-.

      I will never ever gonna hire service from Kallada travels from now.

        Recently I had a return travel by kallada from bangalore to kochi. I was going for my friend's wedding.

        Kallada needs to improve on three things:

        1) Appoint well mannered drivers and their helpers who treat the customers like human beings.
        2) Appoint drivers who communicate well in english and hindi with non malayali people.
        3) Appoint drivers who drive the bus like a bus not like a bike.

        Expanding on the above three points:

        In relation to point number 1. Bangalore-ernakulam route. I was going for my friends wedding hence needed to have a luggage. Unfortunately i had two bags. The Bus helper was not happy about this. H e was showing attitude as if kallada dosenot pay him to keep the passenger's luggage in the bus.

        In relation to point 2. I am not aware of either kerala or the langauge there. The driver expected me to know where i am going to get down. He did not even tell me my stop has come. I had to ask an auto fellow whether it was kochi (my stop). When i confronted the driver he replies me "You should be aware of where you are going" in broken hindi-english-malayali all mixed together. Language problem along with high attitude problem. This is what we call 100 % literacy.

        In relation to point 3: My bus driver was driving the same way the heroes drive in south movies. Please we are paying you for travel and not for our own funeral.

        If you want to see what a good travel is please travel through VRL OR SRS OR KSRTC (karnataka not kerala) once, then you will come to now where KALLADA stands. Please learn something from the Bangalore bus companies. Please take it positively.

        I hope this gets read by some higher authority or it might go waste the same way i wasted money for my travel through kallada.

            i had a very miserable journey in Kallada travels bus From Chennai to Ernakulam on 11th March 2013. Bus did keep up the expectation in punctuality , but the helper guy did behave very badly with me as a lady passenger . I was in aisle seat and the window seat was vacant. the guy did misbehave several times even after warning him. I was really helpless in that situation during the night as nobody listened to me in their sleep l. I had to stay awake for the whole journey of 13 hours till i reach my destination point.I am really pissed off with his behaviour.Plese make sure the passengers safety,especially ladies.The reason why we are choosing this type of travels to avoide this type of problems and difficulties.So please do understand that.

              Never travel or book your trip in kallada travels. Experienced the worst travel service in my life. The rating for this travel was good in redbus. So i selected this booked the bus in ponnamali stop, chennai at 3pm on 28th Oct 2012(sunday) to travel and i was told that the pick point in little far from ponnamli and it is a high hotel side. So i reached that pick point at 2.30 after my work. At 3PM i called to get the bus point and they said bus will be late and it will arrive at 3.45PM. Again at 4PM i called the travels since i did not get bus. At that time they asked me to come to sangeta travels in ponamali. After reaching sangeetha travels i jus had a talk with them and came to know that there are no free seats available in their bus but that kallada had jus pushed me. Then they started avoiding my calls till 4.30PM. There were no SETC and other buses at that time.
              Then i got call from them at 5PM and told that bus no3391 will be picking me up from that point. That was a false information i got. Finally sagita travells managed and they alocated a seat for me in 5PM bus from ponamali.

              The very very worst case i experienced. I personally feel that these kind of travel serivces should be removed from redbus. Please take this into serious and high priority and take some necessary actions.

              I agree 100% to Nithya Lakshmi...one of the worst travels i experienced in my lifetime...I booked ticket from Bangalore to Coimbatore on 10/11/12, the bus was at 10.00pm from Kalasipalayam, Bangalore. They started the bus around 10.15 from kalasipalayam and reached madiwala (13-15km from kalasipalayam) by 10.45pm, there they changed us to another bus which started by 11.45pm. The bus reached Attibele (20km from madiwala) by 1.30AM, the worst part is this, here again we were shifted to another bus again. The bus was supposed to reach Coimbatore by 5.00PM, but the horrible situation was, when i woke up and saw the bus already crossed Kerala border and was about to reach Palghat in another 30 minutes.We stopped the bus and asked the driver, he simply said I shouted at coimbatore and no one responded. There were 4 passengers to get down at coimbatore, every one were in the bus at this time. the driver simply byepassed coimbatore, and also said he is already late, which we could not tolerate. It is the reponsibility of the driver/cleaner to inform the passengers when ever the stop comes. Guys please do not attempt in this travels..worst ...worst...worst...still today i could not digest what has happened...

              have booked for a kallada G$ from Bangalore to TVM at 9PM from bangalore ...the funny part is 9 hours of journey time, lol let me experience that .

                1) Bus did not stop as told.
                2) Bus started 1:30 hrs delay.
                3) Drivers wee very rude though I was a female passenger
                4) Never stopped in proper place for 12 hrs for food or for rest room.
                5) Hit a lorry in a highway and used very foul words to lorry driver.
                6) Never cleaned the sheets given.
                7) Folded the sheets and kept for reuse in front of our eyes.
                8) Loud singing and chatting by drivers and cleaner early in the morning.
                9) Bus was with very less suspension.

                  This is brought your attention about a serious and irresponsible behavior of Driver and tour conductor on Bus route Trivandrum – Bangalore (via. Marthandam).
                  We had a boarding point at Balaramapuram (08:40 PM reporting time) for the above bus, and we were waiting there from 08:30 PM and the bus passed away this boarding point around 08:50 PM WITH OUT picking us.
                  When we checked with Kallada office Trivandrum, they were giving false promises like, bus will reach in another 5 mins, 10min like that.
                  Finally we got a call from the bus driver around 9:35PM , stating that he didn’t got any information like 2 passengers waiting at Balaramapuram and they are in Thakalay now.
                  Requesting you to kindly investigate on this issue as there is lot of miss match in the above communication.
                  At least we don’t deserve like this, standing blank in the middle of nowhere for 1hr after booking ticket in advance.
                  Also the ticket doesn’t contain the specific bus driver’s no:, it contain the no:[protected] which is your feedback no:.) and no responsive at the time of incidence.

                    All , right now I am sitting in kallada office koyambedu . I am here to see off a senior citizen of 61 years . We had booked the ticket from chennai to calicut volvo ac multi axel semi sleeper (2+2) 9.00 pm bus , for which they charge 1400 . I was supposed to board the bus at egmore for which wqe had travelled from solibganallur and reached egmore . The bus is not having a pick up point there and they insult you, humiliate you , no proper communication, then they ask me to come down to koyambedu after more than 30 kms of travel , and then they say pls don't teach us the rules .. As a consumer , client , customer , a peson who pays money to the kallada people I know my rights and I cannot take a heart patient from place to place which will make the passengers travel and life itself in full jeopardy after a whole day of hectic travel and threats from kallada people . The guy who is siiting in the counter says he's the all in all for kallada and we r not here to teach him rules ., so I have decided to spend a 10 rupee for this and file a suit fot illtreating and threatening , misbehaving to a senior citizen and more than that a consumer .. The guys name is sudhakaran , koyambedu office , chennai .

                    I need all the other travellers and passengers who have complaints to support me for such irresponsible behaviour , and for abusing , misbehaving to a senior citizen ..

                      When i reached the Salem Kallada Travels Office at 5:20pm the bus was all ready left when i asked the concern person of the Kallada Travells that how did he take the bus before Depature time the responce from them was not proper and he was telling that we can not stop the bus on the main road so the bus left before Depature Time i even asked to support any other source but they told us we can not do any thing i[censored] want they told u can complaint a call against us.
                      When we people belive this kind of travels we got cheated i want my money to be refunded

                        Worst service any human being can have..We booked ticket through red bus in KALLADA on 18th may 2012 throUgh Red Bus..Pnr number:OHYD91594..IT WAS AN EMERGENCY AND OUR DAD WAS HOSPITALISED and it was very important to reach bangalore asap..I WENT TO CHALAKUDY CENTRE at 9:50 AND TALKED TO THE middle aged man IN NOBLE TRAVEL. That Irresponsible man whos number [protected] is mentioned in the ticket to contact regarding travel related queries said sarcstically "what is the time mentioned..is said 10:40..The bus will come at that time....in the mean time the a bus arrived and we showed the tickets to the driver who said that was not our bus..the guy from noble travel also closed the shop and left saying the bus will come..me alone with my sister and mom waited till 12:00 am midnite with all drunkards and travelers gazing at us ..we somehow found a number throgh the website with the help of my wife,,,the number is [protected] which belonged to a kallada employee who to my surprised called me back and informed me that the bus came and picked up all the pasangers from chalakudy and left and asked Where i was..it was imposible to believe as we reached the the landmark 1hr before and even the Person in Nobel travels assured that the bus will come..the only bus that came was at 10pm and the driver denied that that our tickets was not for that bus..Its such a shame for a company like kallada to provide such a pathetic service.. we waited whole night believing that the bus will arrive..as i couldnt leave my sister and mom alone and search for an auto or help due to safety issue..we couldnt even find a way to go back to our house and we waited till 3am to get a good auto guy who agreed to drop 4 people 20 kms away from chalakudi...passengers Please avoid disaster and please think 1000times before booking tickets in kallada..Thanks a lot for a wonderfull experience Kallada..

                          Hi All,

                          This is a request to all of you that please never travel in Kallada G4.I board the bus from Madiwala to Cochin and from electronic city the bed bugs started biting me.It was non ac bus and the window was never openeed before and I couldn;t open it.It was such a horrible exprerience taht I got down before my stop and board another local bus to reach my native.

                            Hi All,

                            I have booked trichur to Bangalore in kallada multi axle Volvo on[protected] at Early morning 3.30, Me and another 3 passengers where started waiting from 3 am in trichur shakten bus stand kallada office. But the office was closed., We are expected to bus arrive but we are waiting morning 6.30 am in the mosquito, In between the 3 hours we tried all the possibilities to reach any one of the kallada office including administrative office and all mobile numbers to know status of our travel but no one is picking our call.

                            Finally around 7 am one kallada bus came from Bangalore to drop the passenger and that bus driver knocked to kallada office door he opens the door which the same door knocked us last three hours , So last three hours a guy sleeping in inside the office but he did not opened.

                            Around 7.30 am the person from kallada calling to the bus driver the driver saying bus crossed coimbatore" Just imagine how is your feeling at this moment"

                            Next one hour office guys calling to many persons to get the seat for us in next bus at 11.30 am after one hour he is saying he cannot get the seat from next trip because all the seats have been booked.

                            Finally with few gonads that office guy did not given our booking money also.. So we wasted complete day from the morning 3am including our valuale money and time.

                            I advice you i never saw such travels like this.

                              I gave some parcel from AMAR RADIO CORPORATION, Bangalore to HYKON POWER ELECTRONICS (P). LTD, THRISSUR through KALLADA LOGISTICS, LR # KPLM101657, which has gone to calicut, now when complaining near local branch in bangalore they are very rude in behaviour & are telling us to collect it from calicut which is highly impossible.

                                hello,,, this is Abhilash Gowda,, as i noticed the crew(conductor) of bus named kallada travels,, vehicle no: KA-01 C 4336, traveling towards hosur road on 13th nov 2011 at 8.15pm,,, the crew was smoking inside the bus sitting next to driver seat,, and i noticed it when i was travelng in another bus,, our bus was parked beside the kallada bus in a signal near electronic city bangalore,, were i noticed the above,, this is none of my business,, but i wish the passengers safety,, as it may lead to some hazards,, thanking u,,,

                                  I & my wife were traveling to Perumbavoor from Bangalore last Tuesday. Tickets for us journey were booked on www.Redbus.in. travel was supposed to be on 11th october 2011 on Kallada travels (bus going from Bangalore to Pathanamthitta). Tickets showed reporting time as 6:30 in Kalasipalayam for bus starting at 6:45 from there. We arrived at Kallada office in Kalasipalayam at 6:20 and were told that the bus already left. People at the Kallada office told us that despite multiple requests from Kallada travels, Redbus had not updated the time in their website. They gave us 2 options - (1) Go to Madiwala as that was the last stop in Bangalore OR (2) Take "some other bus" to Perumbavoor. I am 67 years old and my wife is 59. We were helpless hearing this as we didnt know anything of Bangalore nor the local language. Luckily our daughter had come to drop us and she agreed to take us to Madiwala. It was pouring heavily and traffic was very bad. We resorted to OPtion 1 as we werent sure of the bus, tickets etc for Option 2. We were told that bus will leave Madiwala at 7 and hence we need to rush. In the heavy rains and crazy Bangalore traffic, we made multiple calls to the Kallada office in madiwala asking them to hold the bus. They asked us to come as fast as possible. We reached Madiwala office at around 7:10 to see the bus waiting for passengers. We boarded the bus thinking that it was just waiting for us. Bus waited there for another 20 minutes (waiting to get filled as they had many empty seats) and finally started from Bangalore.

                                  If our daughter was not with us that day, we would have missed the bus and got stranded at Kalasipalayam. It was surprising that though I entered this in the survey of redbus, no one even bothered to connect with us so far or even apologize. Kallada travels also washed their hands off as it is not their problem.

                                    So called 'MAFIA KINGS' in travel industry. On 5th September 2011 my sis were one amonst the travellers in Kallada Travels which she boarded from Pathanamtitta and wer to alight @ Bangalore.The driver through out late night was speeding. At around 1am the bus rammed into a tanker truck and got into flames. Two died on the spot.

                                    In a grip of fear, on the shocking incident I was in all my ways to reach the travel's office over the phone and had to bear the curses of the staff on the other end on waking them from their tight peaceful sleep.Few of them had thrown enough of dart languages @ me.

                                    With the grace of God and prayers that rose eventually she was in safe casket. which was not the fortune of few others who were taken to hospital badly hurt.

                                    This is not the first time the mentioned travels had such ruthless attitude.

                                    .departure time was at 9.30pm but the bus came at 10.30pm .
                                    The bus was an ordinary a/c (a piece of junk) . my co-passengers was from various parts of country they also got annoyed by that bus . i got frustrated by this because that was not the first incident that happened to me.
                                    we altogether asked to the agent for the right bus, but they were acting like they were not responsible for that, even the driver was not even talking.

                                    As we all need to reach the destination by time and the mid-night forced the people with me to travel in that stupid bus.
                                    The seat numbers were provided according to the multi axle volvo in our bus tickets that is computer generated, since the bus has been changed we struggled to get the proper seat numbers. At last i also got the seat number 41... i was enjoying that moment.

                                    The passenger comfort of that old bus was very pathetic- especially the seats. All were struggling to keep their luggage and themselves comfi.
                                    Bus started and in the middle it stopped in Mannuthy to add few more passengers. They were also struggling to find out their seat numbers. few of the north guys started shouting at the agent then the agent ran away. There was no other assistant with the driver . the bus was actually running from Allappy to bangalore with a single driver, he has to drive all the way in the night..(Passenger safety became a ?)

                                    Then by god's sake the bus reached hosur.From there they arranged a Real B9r Volvo all passengers forced to get into it.
                                    i've noticed one thing that old bus was a KL(kerala) registration and the B9r was a KA (karnataka) reg . may be they arranged at the edge of border to get some tax benifit. Am still unaware of their profit harvesting techniques...

                                    All the passengers in that bus were cheated and no one is going to complain about these...

                                      I made a travel from Bangalore to digugal on 01/07/2011 on bus bearing the number 4234. The bus final stop is theni and I as a passenger is not aware of this. I have infact booked a ticket from makemytrip and i was issued a ticket from Bangalore to dindigul. The bus was supposed to reach dindigul around 3:00 AM. when i woke around 2.45 AM to find out where I'm i was shocked to see the bus did not stop at dindigul and passed towards theni. When i questioned the driver and cleaner, why did they not stop in dindigul, the cleaner rudely said, dindigul is not in his chart to stop and did not pay attention to what i was saying. When i insisted more, it turned to be an argumant. He stopped the bus abruptly in the midst of a highway at 3AM( midnight) and asked me to get down. When i refused, he pushed me down in to the ground and i have injuries. He thew my bag and moved the bus. I have to wait for 1.30 hrs to see any visible bus on the road. why i asked kallada office about this, the said someone will get back. I have not received any call from any one till date, even asking for an apology. I have recorded some voice and photos of this.
                                      SAFETY OF PASSENGERS IS AT BIG RISK. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THE SAME SITUATION IS FACED BY A GIRL OR ELDERLY. AT 3AM MIDNIGHT, LEFT IN LURCH, BEATEN UP & NO RESPONSIBILITY BY OPERATORS. THESE KIND OF OPERATORS SHOULD BE BANNED . I AM WRITING THIS IN DETAIL FOR OTHER PASSENGERS TO BE BEWARE OF SUCH CROOKS.

                                        On 12th may i booked bus from banglore to irinjalakuda
                                        but at time of departure when i reached bus station they told that bus was cancelled(it was mistake of travel agency where ticket booked they didnt informed us )
                                        at last they some how arranged another bus
                                        that bus was to guruvayur and expected to reach thrissur by morning 6am
                                        but reached valayar @ 5.30am and stopped for 2hours
                                        at 7.30 they didnt started from there
                                        when asked driver he told another 2 hours it will take to start
                                        at last i stepped down at valayar then reached home by line buses
                                        this is very bad that late around 5 -6 hours
                                        how will passengers reach by time?
