At the very outset it must be understood by all city planners that a Tall high-rises at a every nook and corner don't a make Great city Paris London LA have 95%Buildings that are no.kore than 5 storey a high
We in India are Growing at a mind boggling pace.we face hours of traffic Jams Sewer overflow Flooding on streets we face heat and humidity 8 months in a a year We have only 4 moth of rain and our lakes rivers remain a dry from March to May There is a concept now propigated by the criminal builders lobby
It is the concept to build too high buildings and too many such buildings packing them up close to each other within too few spaces that look like I'll fitted Jigsaw with Different buildings pointing at different angles one building pointing Northeast another south east another buildings south west another North west The motto is to Gobble up as many green and open spaces as possible
The biggest mistake we are doing is this::We don't plan buildings Height according to the width of road In Dadar and Altamont Road Worli Goregaon ten, twenty, thirty storey buildings stand on 12 ft, 15 ft wide lanes?This is shocking for a city A this is an attempt To add to the further chaos & Meyhem
what we do ? we make provisions to allow illegal to become legal if they pay Money, Money Money de do kuchh bhi karega
So the biggest seed of catastrophe we are plowing is We are Building houses in an I'll designed manner with no sense o[censored]niformity or organised layout like you see in images here of how Eng, Europe, Aus, US build their houses? Are They fools?or we are wiser?They are not fools and we are no less wiser But we are wise and corrupt Money is God They are wise but largely honest people who care for their city not for themselves! This is the difference ! There they build cities in a spread out organised layout Their Buildings show class beauty elegance & smart Design We don't even learn from Building Fires Earthquakes, Building Collapses ?

There; houses are not built like we do in India here in Cities like Mumbai Bangalore we have houses in one road facing at different directions ! There in Australia US they are in straight line.&Buildings height are decided according to width of street and capacity of Sewer Aerial view of London

So you are creating nothing but chaos Meyhem Traffic Jam Confusion heat humidity flooding on streets, Building Fires, Building Collapses when you erect high-rises
So the best idea is not to erect high-rises Paris Adelaide London Stockholm Prague LA oslow are not fools when they allow 95%Buildibgs to be only 5 storey high smartly crafted houses of immense charm which look like a work of art These buildings give a happy feeling They enhance citys beauty There po they don't create hundreds of veneer Glass Aluminium Ceramic or plastic tile and glass buildings that lack beauty and soul
From sky their cities look organised planned spread out Our city look clumsy, haphazard, clogged .
Why because we are basically selfish self-seeking greedy people who only want money money money Our corporators are sitting on slaps if criminal Builders Lobby & Builder Libby call the shots
Here builders are allowed to raise flats without providing for at least 33%area of the society land for green cover But what they do?They build the whole area and construct parking And what they do ? They raise some green space over parking .This should not be.This way the soil is not going to be nurtured or sub soil water level is not replenishd by roots .Earth is not getting rich
There they are basically honest corporators who do not bow down in front of money For them to keep the heritage to keep the soul of the city intact keeping the greenery of city the greenery on hills is Basic Here we allow all to build homes on hills also; Like Thane ;Like Antop Hill ;Like Nerul ;
Izmir Turkey has beautifully Landscaped it's shires with trees lawns parks, ;what we have done in Back bay Recl? Allowed ugly makeshift settlements A look at London Paris Adelaide Istanbul Stockholm skyline which rank among 35 best cities
BENCHMARKS TO FOLLOW
Height on Buildings should be max 10 storey i)upto 3 storey on 20 ft St ii)Max 5 storey on 20to30 iii) max 7 storey on streets 30 to 50ft width iv) max 10 storey on St above 50 to 100 ft wide
2) All buildings at street corners or intersection must be curved or tapered
3) buildings must keep 33%of ground as greenbelt
4) At least 5 ft space on front along street be reserved for open space like hedge flowers trees
5) All should be thoroughfares No Gated communities be allowed
7) There must be uniformity in design or height in a particular zone EG An Art Deco Zone must not have modern glass aluminium design or a Venetian or meditterinian design zone must not have other designs
