Mega Cabs — rude and intimidating behaviour of driver

I was driving back from bengaluru airport at about 00:30 onboard a mega cab #5980 driven by aruna kumar.
At the toll gate the driver asked me to pay up. The toll fee was rs 85, while he took rs 100 from me.
I queried if the said amount would be deducted from the invoice (As there was no record of the cash payment made by me). On this query, the driver in a very crude manner told me that if the bill includes the amount it would be refunded, else it would not. I further questioned him as to how was it possible for different invoice formats to be produced, on this the driver became aggressive and intimidating by shouting in the cab and challenging if i was educated enough.
I called customer care while onboard the taxi and queried if it was standard practice to demand the toll fee from a customer without any validation of the same. The customer care rep instructed the driver to deduct the toll fee from the invoice amount, however the driver continued his same story and would simply not relent, rather this took his aggression to another level.
At this time i was discussing with my wife the need to report this behaviour to the police. The audacious driver butted in by saying that he will drive me straight to the police station as he wouldn't want to be disturbed the next day.
Needless to say on arriving at the destination, the driver like a bouncer, stood at the car's boot without helping with the luggage. Another call to the customer care helped me reduce the rs 100 from the invoice amount.
The cab aggregator needs to respond to the following:
1. Why this practice of demanding toll fee at the toll gate, midway through the ride which is an unrecorded transaction.
2. The fact that the driver kept insisting that if the bill includes the amount only then would it be adjusted. This was without doubt an effort made to earn a few extra bucks by attempting to hoodwink the customer.
3. Action taken against the driver for intimidating behaviour not only on me insisting on professional conduct, but also the driver's denial to follow the instructions of the company representative.
4. Despite the entire episode of having to put up with an unruly and intimidating behaviour by the driver i had to pay the whole amount.
5. What responsibility does the company take when the assured ride goes awry due to such audacious behaviour by drivers and still expects the customer to pay up in full.
6. Why does the company not educate customers by virtue of notices within the vehicle to only pay on completion of the trip. Drivers utilise this loophole to extort money from customers who really do not have a choice.
7. Especially for airport areas, a placard displaying conditions for payment should be put up conspicuously. Also, the company rep must assist customers with payment conditions before boarding the cab.
The company must be aware that certain unethical operators on the field will find ways to momentarily benefit by cheating/intimidation. Strict instructions and penalties must be instituted to act as a deterrent to such errant drivers.
The company needs to own up and take responsibility of the safety and travel of their customers. I request that the matter be dealt with at an appropriate level and communicated. A complaint has been lodged with the call centre
