cancelled bus service complaint and request for double refund

Dear Orange Travels Team,

We had booked your Orange Travels bus for 12th December for 5 passengers from Hyderabad to Bangalore, and the booking was made on 27th October. We were waiting at our designated boarding point Miyapur, KS Bakers beside Samsung Plaza towards BHEL rood at the scheduled time.

When the bus did not arrive, we tried to contact the bus boarding point, but our calls were not answered. We then...

      On 23rd August 2024, I booked two bus tickets from pune to Hyderabad on orange tours and travels via paytm with a total fare of 2400 rupees. The bus arrived late and after traveling for one hour or so the bus went breakdown and we got a message that it takes 8 hours to repair. It was about 1:30 am and it was raining. The driver told us to contact orange tours and travels. We tried to contact orange tours and travels but they didn't respond....

      Myself Sindhu I have booked ticket in orange bus from Hyderabad to pune (board time:6:55)
      PNR ID:[protected]. VEHICAL NO: NL01B2893 for attending my classes. Being a girl i have to seek much safety while travelling we tried calling the concerned bus operator and conducter whose number were ph no:[protected] that too after said time of boarding. They were so negligent to attend the calls for 2hrs. And the response of the call was also harrassing. I felt unsafe while waiting for the bus at the bus station. This proves there is no proper redressal from bus operator when it's late. So, kindly take action

        I'm writing to bring to your notice about the horrendous overnight bus journey that I had to take on 21 July 2024 for which I have so far received no appropriate compensation.

        My partner and I (Aswath Sridhar & Sruthi Veeraraghavan respectively) had paid a total of INR 3705 and booked two AC bus tickets from Bhimavaram Town (Andhra Pradesh) to Bengaluru, with Orange Tours and Travels, through Redbus.in website.

        The bus was supposed to arrive at 5:30pm but it came only at 6:45pm. The seats were uncomfortable, it was torn in places and the dirty bedsheets and curtains looked like it was unwashed for months. An insect crawled onto my seat and I had to brush it off. The curtain rod was faulty and kept falling on my shoulder every now and then and I had to manually keep fitting it back. One of the curtains were missing and when we asked the bus attendant about it he gave us a blanket to use as a make-shift curtain to block the light. But the worst part of the journey only began after we stopped for dinner at around 10pm. Once we got back into the bus after finishing up dinner, we overheard the bus partner say that the AC "wiring" had come off and he could not find a mechanic available to fix it at this time. The driver and the bus partner decided on their own accord to open the main door of the bus and the upper vents near the driver for ventilation and continue with the rest of the journey. Mind you, this is supposed to be an AC bus. The windows are sealed and cannot be opened even if needed. The next 14 hours was hellish. We stopped at around 2:30am for a bathroom break, a lot of passengers were protesting. There were families with children in the bus who also felt suffocated and claustrophobic. The bus attendant was so rude that he said if we have so much of an issue with this, he can call it a breakdown and stop the bus and we can all fend for ourselves. He threatened to leave us stranded in the middle of a highway with nothing in sight at 2:30am. There were women and children in this bus and the staff did not care. We called Orange Tours and Travels and they said that they cannot do anything about the situation considering there are no other buses that they can transfer us to and no mechanic available at this point. They asked us to wait until 10am but our arrival time was 9:15am (we reached our destination only by 11:30am because of the delay). They promised us we will get full refund later but so far we have not received a single rupee. For 14 hours we suffered in that bus. My co-passenger and I were not able to sleep throughout the journey.

        We had paid a total of INR 3705 for two AC tickets and what we got in return was one of the worst experiences of our lives. That day we would have made at least 10 calls to Redbus and Orange Tours & Travels for a resolution of our complains, they only kept going in circles and finally agreed only for 30% cashback. Their justification is that we completed the bus ride. How is this fair? Are they telling me that a woman like me should have gotten down in the middle of the night at some highway with nothing around then? A full refund is the bare minimum that they can give us for the ordeal they put us through. But for the mental torture we went through there should be additional monetary compensation and that bus service (AR024651) has to be stopped ASAP so that nobody goes through such an experience ever again.

        I also want to register this complaint against Redbus for keeping this bus service active on their website still and not having resolved our query and putting us through a hellish experience both with their unhelpful customer care solutions and overall.

        I am attaching all the images and videos I have as proof. Please help.

          Dear Concern
          Throughout the entire 12-hour journey, from Bangalore to Gudivada the air conditioning system on the bus malfunctioned and remained inoperable. This resulted in an uncomfortably hot and stuffy environment for all passengers

          To alleviate the stifling heat, I, along with other passengers, requested the driver to open Top emergency exit for ventilation. Unfortunately, the driver refused our request.

          These issues significantly compromised the comfort and safety of myself and all other passengers on board. The lack of functioning AC in such a long journey is unacceptable and raises concerns about proper bus maintenance. Additionally, the driver's refusal to open Top emergency exit for ventilation, even for a short period, created a potentially hazardous environment due to the excessive heat.

          Desired Resolution:

          I request a full refund for my ticket due to the severe inconvenience caused by the non-functioning AC and the driver's actions.
          I also urge Orange Travels to investigate this incident and take appropriate measures to ensure such situations do not occur again. This includes proper maintenance procedures for AC systems and clear guidelines for drivers regarding passenger safety and comfort in extreme circumstances.
          On dated26-08-24 new orange travels Bus was break down at sullurpet, this is Hyderabad to Chennai service .even waiting 1hour also, they not arranged another bus, not even curred the bus problem .all passengers suffered lot . I took alternative another Chennai bus to travelling to koimbeedu stop. Pls return the ticket amount .

              I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and serious concern regarding a distressing incident during my recent journey on your bus service, OT-169, from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on 29/05/2024.

              I boarded the bus at 00:20 hrs, and although the journey was smooth, upon arrival in Vijayawada, I discovered that my purse was missing. After a thorough search and with the help of my Apple Tag, I found my purse hidden among old pillow covers behind the driver’s area. This was clearly a deliberate act of theft.

              When I confronted the bus staff, driver Bhuvanagiri Vijayaraju and helper Suresh, they feigned ignorance and offered no assistance. Their behavior was highly suspicious and unprofessional.

              This incident has severely damaged my trust in Orange Travels. I demand that you:

              Conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.
              Take immediate disciplinary action against the driver and helper involved.
              Establish and enforce a strict lost and found policy.
              Ensure that all staff members are honest and reliable.
              Such incidents are unacceptable and must not occur again. I expect a prompt response and appropriate action to address this issue.

                Bus more than one hour late. All telephone numbers provided by the Company cannot be reached. Bus tracking does not work. No water, Dirty bedsheets, No wifi.
                Driver asked me to contact call centre when he was requested for WiFi password. Call centre says ask driver!!!
                Very poor quality service.
                I want full refund of my money.

                  I booked a bus from Bangalore to Vijayawada with Orange Tours and Travels on 27.03.2024. The bus number I travelled in is AR025455 with service number OTT-1047. The bus was supposed to start from Marathahalli at 4:30 PM. They arrived an hour late and then proceeded to stall at the bus stop for another two hours and fifteen minutes. They kept claiming that they were waiting for a passenger. The staff left the bus during most of this duration because the passengers were getting irate. They offered no apologies or explanations.

                  Due to unavoidable situations like traffic issue, weather conditions etc vehicle had been delayed

                  Any how as a good will gesture we have processed 20 percent cash refund to pax

                  It was neither the bad weather nor the traffic conditions that caused this delay. Like I mentioned in my original complaint, your bus was sitting at the Marathahalli bus stop for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Your staff claimed they were waiting for passengers and refused to leave the bus stop despite many people complaining and urging them to get on with the journey. Your staff even left the bus and were walking around on the road for a long time since they didn't want to deal with angry passengers. This is a failure of your business management.

                      Hi, I booked a ticket from rajahmundry to hyderabad on[protected]. Driver stopped the bus for urinals near hyderabad outskirts. Driver drove the bus without counting the passengers. The bus left before I boarded the bus. My 3-year-old son and my luggage remained in the bus. By God's grace a boy gave me lift and we chased the bus. The bus went about 5 kilometers. At that time I was very confused and scared. At the same time, my phone remained in the bus.
                      I am requesting not to repeat these mistakes through your travel agency. I am regular customer to orange travels. I am attaching my ticket for your reference.

                        I sent Cargo from Amalapuram to madurai on 09/02/2024. Day(19/02/2024) i received with damaged condition. I asked for reason, very worst response got from Amalapuram office agent Srinivas, lot of product's damaged.they are poor handling ...i added proof also...without my permission they opened the boxes which i have packed already and repacked it improperly...they have not use them own even single cello tape...I trust that you will address these concerns promptly and effectively.

                          I had booked my Ticket for MERCEDES BENZ MULTI AXLE A/C SLEEPER CLASS but 45 Minutes before Journey got a SMS informing that due to unavoidable circumstances there is a change in the Bus and a Ashok Leyland A/c Sleeper Bus has been arranged and rest other things remains same...
                          When I boarded the Bus, it was stinking and the Bed Sheets, Screens and the Bed were very dirty and not at all usable...The Bus was very noisy and jumping in all the Humps and Bumps...I literally got a doubt whether this Bus will reach Hyderabad or not.
                          When checked with the Driver why this kind of sudden change in the Bus, it was given to understand that the Bus which I boarded was suppose to go to AMALAPURAM but in the last minute the Travels Management asked them to take the passengers of Route No.178 to Hyderabad...The Driver told that this Bus was suppose to go for necessary urgent Repaid at a Garage at Hyderabad and that;s why they changed the Route of Operational on 18th February.
                          From this conversation, i understood how all the Passengers have been fooled and how Orange Travels collected hefty money from us and now treated like Dogs and made huge profits by sending a normal 06 Wheeler Ashok Leyland Bus in place of Mercedes Benz Multi Axle Bus.
                          When the Bus reached outskirts of Hyderabad, he took wrong route and dropped us near Moosapet Y Junction which is 07 Kilometres far from Panjagutta where I was suppose to alight...I had to spend Rs.300/- for a Cab to pick me and drop me to my Hotel...
                          All the Passengers had to get down at Moosapet Y Junction and take their own decisions to reach their destination and all were cursing the Travels for such bad service including me...

                            We traveled with Orange Travels in the Platinum Sleeper class from Hyderabad to Shirdi on February 10th, 2024, with PNR:[protected].

                            Our journey commenced from Suchitra, the starting point of the bus. However, upon boarding, the driver promptly identified a technical issue with the bus. Despite attempts by the technical team to rectify the problem, the bus only resumed operation after a delay of 30 minutes. Unfortunately, after covering a few kilometers, it became evident that the issue persisted. Consequently, the driver diverted to their garage located in Gandimaisamma.

                            The technical team endeavored to fix the problem once more. Given the recurrence of the issue, we requested a bus change for our comfort and safety. However, the driver and technical team assured us that the problem had been resolved.

                            Regrettably, the bus encountered another technical malfunction approximately 40 kilometers before Solapur at 3:30 AM. Orange Travels arranged a replacement mini-bus at 8:15 AM, which lacked air conditioning and push-back seats.

                            Despite assurances of a full refund, we endured a discomforting journey of over 350+ kilometers in the substitute vehicle. Moreover, the substitute bus driver caused additional inconvenience by halting unexpectedly, claiming non-receipt of payment for our drop-off in Shirdi.

                            Our attempts to contact customer care were largely fruitless, with frequent unavailability and unfulfilled promises. Originally scheduled to arrive in Shirdi by 9 AM on February 11th, we eventually reached our destination at 5 PM, after numerous setbacks.

                            On February 12th, we received a call from customer service offering only a 25% refund of the fare, which is unacceptable given the magnitude of the inconvenience and discomfort endured throughout the journey.

                            Kids and old aged people couldn't even have their lunch as we were already too late and everyone had their return journey booked which couldn't afford to miss.

                                Yesterday I am traveling Bangalore to Bapatla in orange travels. That bus sets and service worst and midnight bus suddenly break down, asking to drive and helping man there not responce and talking in worst words is pangers, that's customer number not working and that midnight all in standing in road, after 3 hours in response and providing another bus, that bus also same, worst behavior in drive and helping man night 8:30 I am getting in bus in Bangalore, next day 3:00 coming bapatla time and money both waste, and orange travels there have no service centres and no offices please take this action in this service

                                  On Jan 1st night we travelled in your travels from Hyd to BGL.
                                  We paid double charges (total 4 tickets) to reach our destination. We suppose to reach BGL by 8am, but we reached at 2pm.
                                  We waited nearly 1.5hr for alternate bus. Finally To reach BGL we travelled in KSRTC upto devanhalli tolgate.
                                  This is not fair. I lost one day leave and childrens absent for school.
                                  I never faced such kind of experience in any travels.
                                  Kindly refund my amount as soon as possible for all four tickets.
                                  Orange Tours and Travels customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

                                    It was such an irritating trip in my life I went with told the driver rainwater was coming inside the bus he told me to just go and sleep to raise a complaint I don't mind

                                    He was off-talking and was completely rude.

                                    I argued with him I spent 800rs but I did not sleep he told me what I can

                                    Please request a check with the FC for the bus, I think it was expired please check and resolve it
