Pallavaram Municipality — worst road condition in zamin pallavaram
Respected sir/madam, I am resident of zamin pallavaram. I have been residing in this area for past 1 year. The roads extending from 200 feet vels university till keelkattalai bus depot are digged for various reasons like palar water line connection etc, we residence and the passers by face lot of issues mainly during rainy seasons, as the pits get filled with water and the two wheelers ends up in tragedy. As the school and college is located in the same area, the students and parents find it extremely difficult to get their pick up and drop from the institution. The office goers are unable to reach office on time and the problem is worst during rainy season. So far there was no improvement seen in this area. Both the main roads to zamin pallavaram i. E. The road extending from 200 feet vels university till keelkattalai bus depot. The condition of the roads are so poor that pregnant ladies find it very difficult to take any transport. The big lorries passing through vels university makes it even more worse. As there no option for people to get through alternative route as this is the main road. This is also the bus route from keelkattalai depot to pallavaram railway station. Due to the poor road condition there is long delay experienced by the bus passengers. The buses do not arrive on time. Each and every individual faces this road issue. Although the roads are not laid as it will be difficult for the workers during rainy season, at least the pit closure could be done with random construction wastes. I request you to look into this issue and provide your help. It is our humble request on behalf of this area people. Thank you. Was this information helpful?

I have been residing in old pallavaram since 1991. The road to keelkattalai and pallavaram is one of the fastest route to connect these 2 places for years, but for the past few years the roads are maintained very poorly. i will not even call it as road, only pit holes and mud road are there every where. These pathetic roads have spoiled the glory of old pallavaram( which was once the best residencial area). there are lots of residence living here and number the residence living here grows drastically year on year and there are lots of tax payers. I wonder were the tax money are used for. Kindly bring back the glory of our area, by providing quality roads and also provide regular maintenance.
The situation of Pallavaram Dhargah Road, Vaithyalingam Road, Road to Vels University, Road to Keelkaatilai all remains in pathetic condition. It seems that the officials and the contractors are still in their deep slumber sleep. Accountability is at all time low and its only a matter of time that even the existing patches of a supposed to be roads are turned into pot holes. What is even more surprising is the sheer lack of a proper study of the topography, may a placed the manholes are seen above the road level. I am not sure how these people become PWD engineers or contractors. This shows clearly the contractors high handedness. Somehow we people of Pallavaram are a resilient lot. We will bear everything, Bad roads are our birth right and we are happy for it.

They should realise how inconvenient it is during Morning and Evening peak hours to cross those roads.
