Subject: missing of pass port document from your office

With reference to the above, I had possessing the past port bearing No A 6250386 it was issued on 05.10.98 and expired on 04.10.2008. I have sent application with DD for a sum of Rs. 1000/- and original passport for reissue (renewal) for a further period.. This document was sent by me through speed post on 31.10.2008. The document has reached your office on 04.11.08 and I got acknowledgement. But since then I did not get any information from your office about renewal of my passport.

I visited your office on 25.03.09 and inquired about the status of my passport at the counter no 2. The officer in the counter told me to contact diary /postal section to know the status. I met the staff at the diary section and requested to known the status of application. The staff verified the office record and told me that there was some incomplete information in the application and the document was sent back to my address on 11.11.08. Also the staff gave me their mailing record no. R.1202/08 and told me to inquire in the post office of my residential area. Besides, the staffs who were in the diary/postal section not answered my questions/problems properly. My point is that the document has not delivered to me, it the document not delivered to person within a week it will go back to the sender. I requested for verification of their document and find if there was letter/document returned back to the office. They were not in a position to solve my problems or tracing the document. I brought this issue to the notice of superintendent. The officer told me to inquire in post office of my residential area.

I visited the Cowl Bazar Post officer at Bellary and requested the postal staff on duty about my letter and also gave the number R 1202/08 which was given by your office. They said there was no undelivered letter with them which addressed to me. Also they said that the number which is given by me for verification is not correct. They asked for computerized number usually which will have 10 digits and some letters.

This is the status of the application. Please kindly verify the records and trace it and help m to get my pass post renewal. My concern is that I have sent Original passport with the document. I hope you will look into the matter and solve the problem

i had apply on 28th january 2009 for my pasport and my police inquiry is completed but no status update and i not recieve my pasport till now

Ref.No.BOM/B007274/2009 DATED 27.02.2009. My application continues to be pending with Mumbai RPO. I was asked to deposit 3 copies of the personal particulars form as per notice on the RPO Website on 23.04.2009. I deposited requisite documents on 29.04.2009. Thereafter I made repeated visits to RPO Mumbai and they kept on telling me that it is under process. However, on 24.08.2009, when I visited again threatening with a case in consumer court, I was told that passport is pending for police verification from Lucknow Police. In this connection, police verification from Mumbai has already been done on 22.05.2009 as confirmed by Mumbai Police vide their SMS dated 22.05.2009. I visited Lucknow Police also and to my utter disgust, no such request has ever been received by Lucknow Police. It appears that no such request was sent to Lucknow Police by Mumbai RPO. I am being made to run from pillar to post without any tangible results. It appears that the actual reason is not pending police verification from Lucknow but something else. What it is ? only God knows.

I, Munendra Kumar Sharma, studing since last one years in Dadri, G.B.NAGAR. My hometown is Khurja in UP hence i have applied for a passport in 13th of april' 2009 at Ghaziabad passport office. One inquiry has been done at my permanent residential address of Khurja. The second inquiry has also been done at my official address of Gurgaon. The application was sent to the Ghaziabad office and the officials made an objection regarding my Local Residential address of Ghaziabad which was initially not mentioned in the passport form. After that I have submitted the proof for my residential address of Dadri in the police station as desired. But the inquiry for my residential address is still awaited. When i went to the passport office( mini secretariat ) gurgaon to know the status of my inquiry, Now I have filled the PP form & submitted it to the Ghaziabad Passport office. It has been 10 days for the same and my inquiry is still awaited.Please suggest the possible solution as passport is urgently needed.

I applied for a passport to RPO Mumbai on 27.02.2009. My file reference number is BOM/B007274/09 dated 27.09.2009. I was told that my police verification from Lucknow Police is pending (two addresses given due to short stay at Mumbai) and therefore deposited requisite verification forms on 29.04.2009 and 16.09.2009 respectively. But to my utter dismay, these verification requests are not being forwarded to Lucknow Police for doing the needful. Lucknow Police has not received these requests from RPO Mumbai and it appears that these have never been despatched to Lucknow Police.

I appeal to RPO Mumbai to have mercy on this poor student and complete the process immediately. Delay is likely to ruin my carrier as I am likely to miss one year of precious training/study. RPO Mumbai, please wake up and do not sleep on the carrier of the students.

I am unable to check the status of my Passport Application on the Bangalore Passport Office webpage

Even though it has been 3 manths since I submitted my passport application, I am unable to check the status of my passport application on the web page of the Bangalore Passport Office.

I am unable to get through to any of the passport office staff on any of the telephone numbers that I have been given and even my e-mail messages to the PRO are not being delivered due to "over quota".

How do I check on what is the latest update w.r.t. my passport application? I cannot e-mail them / call them and my passport application file number doesn't show up on their application status page - what do I do?

I have filed my case for renewing of my Passport of 19th Jan, 2012 and my police verification at Dombivli (E) Police station got completed on 19th Mar, 2012. I applied for my Wife's Passport. Few days back I received the Passport. But in that My Wife's Father's Name spelling is incorret. In the Passport Application form we have mentioned the correct spelling of her ather's Name, but due to the pure negligence on Passport office part there is a spelling mistake in LAst Name.

Incorrect speeling of Last name printed on Passport : K. P Singgh
Correct Spelling of Last Name should be : K.P Singh

Please let me know if this will have any effect while applying for DUBAI VISA, as I think after marriage it is Husband's Name that is used everywhere and on my behalf only she will be applying for VISA. If it has an effect, then please let me know the process to get it corrected and how much time the whole process will take. Do I need to pay any fees.

This is India means only corruption. My husband applied for passport in Tatkal scheme but they asked for some gazzted officers letter head and we are unable to give it but we had attached so many address proofs but all in vein. And we applied in general. Now my husband need passport on urgent basis, police verification has been cleared still we are not able to get the passport. They said go and talk to the passport officer and show him police certificate. I asked after showing the certificate will he issue the passport then she said we are not confirm but all the agents are saying give us Rs 5000 in advance I will give u the passport in a day and if you want passport in week then give us only Rs 3000 "aage bhi to khilane padte hai na". This is our India.
