Passport cover service is facilitated by tata consultancy services ltd. (Tcs) (Under the value added service, as approved by ministry of external affairs (Mea), government of india) on behalf of tata international limited (Til). It has been observed that many times general public coming for the passport appointment do not know anything about this service. They are just purchasing cover under the pressure of officers of psk. They perceive that if this services will not be purchased on the presentation from psk officer, they may create a problem with further passport issuing procedure and document verification. Question here is, why such a services needs to be club with passport issue process at psk? There were no signboard at surat, psk indicating that such services is optional and not mandatory.
