PVR Cinemas — Food Poisoning caused | |
Today had such an experience which has made me believe that all my batch mates at IITD were right in leaving the country. Went to PVR Cinemas in Ludhiana to watch 'Gabbar is Back" with my family and was served completely stale, half cooked momos and when I complained about it then no one cared n they kept on selling the same thing again without fearing that it might get people seriously ill. Even when I threatened to sue them for this, still there was no effect. Then with my very strong media and police links, when I raised my voice and called Police Helpline only then one of their managers agreed to talk to me on phone. They said, "Sir le deke khatam karte hain". This is exactly what he said and I was furious. One my contacts even called the local police and area SHO rushed to the scene and in the mean time mall's security in-charge also came in. Even after all this, one of their Cinema General Manager Mr. Ajay Kumar Awal misbehaved with my mother and sister in front of police. He was at some other theater and had just walked into the scene and had no idea about the whole incident. I had withdrawn my complaint but after this I thought of seriously taking a strict action. There were more than 1000 people watching the film inside the halls and not even a single representative to represent a brand like "PVR". With all my links and constant nagging, I couldnt even register a complaint against them when it was clearly admitted by their staff that the food served was not edible by any standard and was a case of causing serious food poisoning. Not sure if this will work but I felt at least will raise some voice as PVR has completely declined to listen. I hope "Achche din" are round the corner as my hopes are fading fast.
