I had bought american tourister bag from big bazaar store on 30-apr-16. The bag has terrible problem. There is a problem with one of the wheels and i cannot move the bag back and forth. The wheel gets stuck. This is very annoying issue.

So i had given for servicing to samsonite branch in hsr layout, sector 1 - bangalore.

I am being asked to provide the purchase of bill. I had bought the bag 2 years and lost the bill. I do have the warrant card. It does not have date or dealer stamp because those information were part of the bill. I know for sure that the bag is under the 3 year warranty period. The service centre is refusing to accept the warranty info. I can provide a online transaction info of the purchase if required. That is all i have. This is unaccepted and i had expected better from samsonite. If the product is defective why not fix or provide replacement under the warranty.

I am a loyal samsonite person. Have always been purchasing samsonite luggage bags only. As far as i know, samsonite gives a world wide guarantee of 10 years (Atleast they say so when purchasing a product)

In the year june 2016, i was visiting my sister in california where i went for shopping to livermore outlet mall. I purchased a black luggage bag of samsonite from ur store located over there. Ofcourse i was told about the 10 year world wide guarantee. Last year in dec 2017, i was again visiting her and on my way back to india through air india flight on 28th december, my luggage was hampered such that the i wasn’t able to pull my samsonite bag’s trolley after landing in india.
I went to the samsonite store (Bagzone) located in the great india place mall on the first floor. They opened the bag and told me that the trolley is bend. I asked them to get it rectified or changed (Whatever best possible they could do) but to my surprise, i was informed that they can’t do anything about my trolley, neither rectify nor change it. When asked about the guarantee policy, they could not give any satisfactory reply.
Is this the prize of being a loyal samsonite person. What about ur false and fraudulent commitments made at the time of purchase o[censored]r product?
I am sending u this mail to get a satisfactory reply from the samsonite team and clarification of why - as a customer - should i be the sufferer for no fault of mine? The company dint replace or rectify my product and air india mishandled my luggage.

We have been buying and using only Samsonite bags since last 30 years and bought a Pure leather office Bag on Wheel from USA in January 2015 for USD 500.
However, it was sparingly used and last week one of the wheels broke. We took it for repair at nearest showroom from Vasnat Kunj, New Delhi. We are expected to pay the repair charges of Rs 1000 which was informed after repair was done. They are insisting for Guarantee card valid for two years which we are unable to find.

A few year ago, the another Samsonite suitcase was repaired free of cost with no questions asked.

I am disheartened that a Brand like Samsonite is troubling an old customers for such a petty matter after trusting and buying this Brand.

Today i went samsonite outlet located db city mall the representative missbehaved with me i reached at closing time i was searching for breifcase he didn't said anything and turned off the lights and missbehaved after i said that y ur miss behaving he said that do what ever u want cz off my image in society i didn't said anything to him i want the genuine action from ur side i[censored]'ll not take i'll register the case for misbehaving

When i am travelling from zurich to kochi. After arrival of my house in kochi i notice that my samsonite suitcase broken. This kind of a superior suit cases never broken like this. We are spending lot of money to buy samsonite material for quality. I am a regular coustamer of yours my children and wife using ur suitcases and other stuffs. This is is the first time we arefacing these kind of things. We are trusting u for quality but this was broken while i am travelling we totally upset i am attaching photographs unfortunately i don’t have bill. I bought a suitcase from samsonite in 2007 with a 10 year warranty for brekability..
It cracked in oct 2017, when i requested samsonite to replace it as per their warranty policyas stated in the warranty card, they are not doing it. Rather they are asking me to take credit note for the amount in paid 7 years ago.

They are not even responding to my queries. Rather they keep harping the same line "choose any luggage and pay the balance amount". Please help.

Dear sir i am your customer since 10years my bag is damaged and i give it to your samsonite store from where i brought it and he is given me approval for the fresh bag of same cost but i select the bag cost higher than 3000 from previous one but the matter is that he is telling me that he will not give me the fresh warranty for the new bag after replacing
My question is that when i pay more rs 3000 then i will be able to get a fresh warranty otherwise you will refund me my amount of bag i will take it from the other store

My new american tourister duffle bag is having manufacturing defects. When called service center, they asked me to visit nearest outlet for availing the warranty. So i visited a samsonite store in viaviana mall thane. The store people agreed that defect will be covered under warranty but refused to provide any help as they have no product of such cheap range.

This answer of their is against the norms of company.

I have purchased above mentioned 2 nos backpack on 29 the march, 2017. It has been worn-out at many places even a short span of 3 months. Then i requested so, it is requested to get replacement of these bags under guarantee/ warranty of american tourister. But your team today give the reply that these bags are mishandled. It is requested to look into the matter, how within 3 months short span these bags has been worn out? It means that inferior materials are used in manufacturing of these bags. Being international brand, it is requested to get replaced these bags.

I purchased 81cm black coloured briefcase from big bazaar ranchi in the last week of february-2017. I have used it for only one journey. It's already discolored, damaged. I met the sales persons of bagzone lifestyles pvt ltd, main road, ranchi-1 (Phone[protected]. Earlier they told me that it will be replaced but yesterday they told me that customer care has refused it. L don't understand how such type of decision, customer care can take! You review it carefully so that customer will not be cheated.

I would like to share my concern about samsonite travel trolly that we have.

We have a model x'ion 2 and we bought this on 2011. It has 10 years warranty so it is still under warranty period.

The trolly is in perfect shape and condition but we are facing some different problem to deal with.

We are shifting to usa for long term deputation and for that we need to carry lot of luggage with us but now the dimension allowed for international travel has changed and unfortunately my x'ion 2 does not fit with in that criteria. My trolly is way bigger than the allowed limit.

So we have a very costly luggage at our home which we can't carry or can't even throw away.

Please suggest if anything can be done at this point to help me.

Is it possible that you can change this trolly with a trolly that fits in the criteria. May be you can consider some depreciation amount for the same.

I will share warranty card image and image of my trolly if you need.

We bought a bag from house of samsonite. We had a situation where the bag came apart while traveling, this was then fixed and then we were charged 1200/- the bad is still not repaired properly and the zip keeps sipping off. Mohsin attended to us at the shop and was terribly rude said that he can't help us. This bag was brand new and less than a year old with a 10yr warranty. The company has cleared cheated us and not honoured they commitment of warranty, the shop 'house of samsonite' is only interested in selling their product and not helping their customers. Please help us resolve this issue!

I purchased 2 american tourister bags... Fabric o both bags got weared in single journey... Disgusting... When i sent both bags for repair, they informed me that fabric is not covered in warranty so i will have to pay extra money for that. If bags from big brands damages within journey and within 3 months from purchase, why one should purchase from american tourister...!

Purchased Samsonite Syncomm 66cms from Travel Shop, Parel on 02.12.2014. The Stitching of the bag has come off and also the lock is not working and hence defective and not usable.
The bag was given for repairs/replacement to Travel Shop Vide their receipt No.51826 Dt.01.07.2017. Upon further inquiry with the shop, w e were informed that Company Samsonite has denied repairing/replacing the defective Bag.

I bought samsonite trolley bag just before three year from kolkota with limited ten years international warranty. Due to poor quality of trolley bag index no-37427-f three times i service trolley bag tyres and fourth time i submitted bag to umrao plaza canteen devlali nashik maharashtra for chain problem or outer body damaged. I, am fade up with the poor quality of trolley bag, simultaneous many problems in trolley bag so i requested to replace my trolley bag to short out the problem as fast as possible.

I use your product regularly and I am very much satisfied with it, but on 26th January I purchased three neck pillows from Kolkata airport and all three were defective, I took all the three defective neck pillows at your Brabourne road branch and they assured me that your product will be replaced once it is approved but one of your staff name (Amit ) in the same branch had misbehaved with me I don't know why, all your other staffs in the branch had stopped him doing so but still I am very much unsatisfied with his rude behaviour.
I ask samsonite team to look after this matter as mr.Amit has no regret for his behaviour.

I bought a bag from Bangkok, with which I forgot to collect the warranty card. (Nor did the store care to give me)
Now the trolly bag handle cap broke, and when I gave it for servicing in Pune, India.
The store denied me saing u don't have warranty card. (The product has 3 years warranty)
I spoke to evry possible staff from the company.
Been mailing at Every door possible since a month.
I still haven't got any solution.
If the store doesn't give a warranty card. It's customers fault?
After tremendous efforts, Mr Ravi bhamre offers me 30% discount.
Why should I purchase a new bag?
Such service torture is not acceptable from such a huge company.

I had bought an American Tourister Backpack with 18months warranty but unfortunately within 6 months of purchase it’s shoulder strap foam/cushion was torn out and dislocated inside the strap. I had dropped my bag at their Samsonite store for service but after 6days they informed me that it was not a workmanship or quality issue.
After repeated request they are not ready to provide any service support for under warranty product. They knew that the problem is inside the strap and for that they have to give the replacement so they are refusing.
But this is purely a workmanship & quality issue as it is inside the strap due to poor foam quality and not proper fixing of foam within the strap. I request the replacement as per their warranty statement.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I had purchased a Samsonite bag-pack on 22nd October 2015 having a global warranty of 2 yrs.

I had complained to the store from where I purchased that the bag is not equally balancing on the shoulders due to which one of my shoulders is feeling the pain, to which I was informed that it might be because the bag is new and it shall ease out soon.

It was a pleasant surprise that the lower portion of the bag, which rests on our lower back, started wearing off soon. As on date, the situation is like that the same lower portion is completely worn out along with the sponge inside which was least expected in this short period of time. On visiting the store, I was informed that it was due to wear and tear!!!

I am wondering that it be a possibility that how can the worn out portion, as mentioned above, of a bag worth Rs. 5, 000/-, can wear out in so less time just for the reason that it gets brushed against my lower back!!

To add on to this, one of the chain is also damaged and rendered unusable.

The feedback from the store for the above has been very annoying and not at all up to the mark of Samsonite as a brand; I expected a quick help in having it replaced especially it being in the warranty period and the issue being genuine and not something as a result of mis-handling / carelessness.

Attached along are the photos of the above mentioned issued for your reference which shall enable you determine the damage condition and also that it is genuine and not something which is done on purpose. Also attached is the warranty card copy for reference.

Shall expect a quick action to do the needful for replacing this bag of mine.
