Today (08.01.2022) one of the employees of Shine.com by name Siva, mobile No. [protected] has cheated me and booked two orders by wrongly guiding me.

1. Order No. CP 389028 for Rs. 12, 978
2. Order No. CP 389017 for Rs. 6, 548

He has called me to process the order 388547 placed by me on Shine.com two days ago for Linked in profile writing service and during the discussion, he made me to pay for the above two orders by guiding me wrongly.

I am a paid member of Shine.com and I should not be cheated by Shine's team like this.

I request you to escalate this issue with the concerned authority at Shine.com and help to get refund of the amount Rs 19, 526/- back to me at the earliest. I also request you to take serious action against the person as such people are spoiling the image of the organization and Shine's credibility is at stake.

My experience with Shine is very similar to listed here. They sell dreams and promises on phone in incremental amounts. IT started with 3000 for premium account, then 7000 then 13000. While paying 13000 I asked if this is the last payment for all services. The sales agent said yes. I was shocked to see one more proforma of 20, 000 within a minute later. I did not pay this 20, 000 proforma as I realised I am getting fooled.

My regret is I did not see this webpage before paying anything to Shine. It is outraging to see shine has been doing this tricky and predatory marketing since 2013 and no action has been taken against them.

Really shame on shine.com and Hindustan Times group.
It is also shameful to see good sales agents being tasked to fraud people in need and despair.

A month ago I got a call from shine.com saying they will assist me in searching job for that they charged me approx 2, 00, 000.00 as different kind of services, but I haven't received any job reference calls which is suitable for me. Today as on 07-Jan-2022 I got a call from [protected] and said as I haven't got any assistance from shine.com they will refund my money for that they asked me to raise a complaint in shinecomplaint.co and as a verification they asked me to pay Rs. 10 using my credit card and they debited Rs. 31113.00 twice and Rs.9000 one time. please help to get refund of my money

Yesterday I requested for professional services on Shine.com. I got a call from Aman who explained to me about the application booster package and asked me if I would like to move forward I went ahead and I was asked to pay my first amount of 3292. I was told that since I was looking for senior roles I will have to do more to make my CV visible so the team will make suggestions to me on what I should go ahead with. Next I received a call from Rohit saying he will be my personal adviser and he mentioned that shine offers assistance in 10 countries and also due to the pandemic companies or other countries don’t look at profiles unless they are per-verified. I argued with him on this but he assured me that based on their experience candidates received better offers I’d their profiles are verified after which I was charged for more services of 5545 and 10244 rupees respectively. By now I’m out of 18000+ rupees already and too deep into the process to back out.
Next he said that I should go all in because I’m applying for a senior profile and I should calibrate my CV to guarantee my changes of landing a job with a good brand and that Shone offers professional CV writing services and said that this will be the last step of the application and you won’t have to pay after this and then I was given an invoice 16634 rupees. I went ahead after some back and forth.

He said that now considering you have busy schedule and you want to be apply jobs using your phone and on the move so you will get WhatsApp notifications on matched jobs for you to apply. That service is an additional buy and I was asked to pay 24779 at this point I got more skeptical and said that I don’t want to. He said that you’re already investing so much and you will anyway recover all the investment from your first salary. I became insistent that I don’t want to pay and that the remaining services should be activated. He duped me by saying that until you complete the whole process he cannot start my application. When I asked why, he said because we have a set process and we do not offer refunds so you have to buy this last service and then you’re good to go. I’m already out of a lot of money and I still trusted this man and went ahead. Now I am out of 58000 rupees and I now know that there is no refund available. I’m complete stuck.
These guys have to audacity over that to upset me a certification saying that it’s government recognised and if I do 1 certification I will be able to access better paying jobs and it’s a very small investment towards a bright future. And then send me an invoice 30323 rupees.
At this point I fully lost it and was transferred to Shivam who said the certification is essential for me to move ahead in the process and they will not be able to refund everything I have paid for so far so I should take the course up. I was adamant and then the call was transferred to Jatin - he yelled at me and spoke to me rudely and didn’t give me a chance to speak and then I was transferred back again to Shivam. He played the good cop now and assured me that each of the services I have paid for will benefit me and this certification is government approved and that they are a Hindustan times company a known and trusted brand. The certification of master of workplace skills is recognised and recruiters prefer hiring people with the certification. If I don’t want to do it I can skip it but I should still play for it so that the recruiters know that I am pursuing it.
Considering how stuck and vulnerable I am feeling at this point I made the decision to go ahead and make the payment and requested them to immediately start my services. At this point they said they will have Rohit get in touch with me again. Rohit took my call and said that I am left with one last step and I’m set - in between all this he kept asking me to compose an email from my ID and send it to [protected]@shine.com mentioned that my services should be started at an urgent basis.
Next he said that I should undergo 2 more certifications to make my profile stronger and sent me an invoice Of 53098 rupees. At which point I lost it and started holding him accountable and then he transferred my call to Shivam who kept saying and tried to gaslight me by saying that I already told you you have to do multiple courses and I’m trying to help you. This is the point where I told him that I will right now send out a tweet and threatened to take legal action and raise a complaint. He backed down and said that if you don’t want the certification you don’t need to take it and the other services that I paid for will be activated.

With this entire experience I have completely lost trust on the brand and I just want a refund. I don’t want any of your services just please refund my money and I’ll be at peace. You looters have taken terrible advantage and I don’t know how you’re able to operate but you should be disgusted at yourselves and step up if you had a conscience and do the right thing for once.

Today I have received call from shine.com customer executive he promised me to provide me job and asked me to pay amount for assistance around 3500 then I have a link and invoice and I have paid the payment of Rs.3, 365.47 to PAYUSHINE via HDFC Bank NetBanking..
Now one of the representative is asking more money around rs 5200 for further process while the executive who had forwarded my call to account person promised me tht there will be no other charges to pay from my side.
This is not a professional experience for me therefore I am requesting you to please kindly refund my money as I am not willing to get any service from you.
An early response will be convenient to me.

I got a call from Shine.com. It is a fraud job portal. They asked me to pay 3000 for resume boosting and application highlighting., which i did. I then got a call from shine again asking 5192 for verification of the profile. I said the hidden charges were not told earlier .However, I can now see from the internet that many people have lost money without any jobs. I have sent an email asking for the refund. This is a big fraud company.

Completely fake job portal. "I lost above 12k . One of your recruiter +[protected] contacted me and asked money for registration, after that they set telephonic interview, and they said I got that job and after they asked money for documents verification and bond, after this all payment they didn't contact me. And they pickup my phone, pls refund my money."i know many of you get this incident from them. Pls don't fall for they offer. How can cheat like this. They took 6500 for document verification and 5500 for bond. Arrest them

I had registered on Shine. Com for jobs and I got a call from Shine member telling that i got a job at Appolo hospital Bangalore.
I paid 1800 for registration and 5500 for offer letter. Later i did not get any other job and they are not receiving my calls also.
Kindly help to get my refund amount back.
Really mentally disturbed after this issue.

I would request you to refund the amount which I paid today for the services. The reason behind the refund request is the wrong commitment and intend to force the customer to pay the extra amount.

Today I got a call from Mr Sharma([protected] and +[protected]) from shine. Com. In which he told me that I have to take service which will cost me INR 3292 for the "application Booster package" for 6 months. The performa invoice no IN20211230_607634. I made the payment through paytm . The transaction Id IN20211230_607634_183329.

After that, I got a call from ([protected]) (806857 one who is saying he will take care of my account and do the needful changes in my shine profile and I got more calls for the job. Then he said I have to enhance my profile and for the same, I have to pay INR 9440. I said this was not informed by the executive who sold the "Application Booster Package" during the call. Where he was saying he is on a recording call. One should check the recording line. Then I got the mail Performa Invoice for INR 9440 at 7:08 pm 30th Dec 2021. Once o made the payment and got The transaction ID IN20211230_607660_192159 and I shared the same, then he said I have to pay another amount of INR 14158 against the performa invoice. He said he send 2 performa one of INR 9440 and another of INR 14158 and I told him that i got only 1 that of INR 9440 now you are saying I have another Amount of 14158. Whereas I got the performa invoice of 14158 at 7:23 pm 30th Dec 2021after making payment of 9440. So I told I don't require this service which is almost 25000 and why he is not sent both performed at the same time, then I could make a call to make the payment or not.

I told him to process the refund then he says you have to make a payment of 14158 . And there is no refund policy of shine. Com. I made a total amount of INR 12732
This is a clear case of fraud from shine. Com to misleading the customer.

I was contacted by Mr. Shubham a representative of Shine.com on 28 December 2021 and again on 29 December 2021. On 29 December 2021, Shubham informed me that I have to pay Rs. 3, 292/- for activation of my services where a relationship manager will be assigned to me for discussion my resume and helping me target the right jobs according to my profile. He also informed me that this relationship manager will send my resumes to all jobs in the market which are active on job portals including those jobs which not on the job portals.

Thereafter I got a call from one Mr. ShivaKumar on 29 December 2021, stating that he has been assigned as the relationship manager for my profile. He after showing a rosy picture of obtaining lucrative job with MNC's like Boston Consulting etc., sent me a payment link of Rs. 5192/- and stated that I have to pay this amount for verification of my educational credentials. I asked him do I have to pay any other amount other than what is mentioned in this mail. On which he started his scripted answer saying ' I am the single window contact and no one other than me will contact you for any money and only the finance team will decide on the payment and send the link'. On which I told him you have not understood my point which is I want to know do I have to pay any money other than what is mentioned in this mail of Rs. 5192/-. He kept on repeating his scripted answer of ' I am the single window contact and no one other than me will contact you for any money and only the finance team will decide on the payment and send the link' after much persuasion he said no. Since I needed a job as I have not been working for last 8 months, I agreed to pay the money.

Once I paid the amount of Rs. 5192, he sent me another link for payment of Rs. 9556/- which I refused to pay. I also asked for a refund of the money which I had paid. He said you have to pay this amount and also said that Shine does not have a refund policy and was pressurizing me to pay the amount. He then transferred me to another person who claimed to be Shivakumar’s senior Prashant (whose English was as bad as Shine.com's intentions) He repeated the same scripted answer, so asked him to ask the representative who spoke to me to call me back. Shubham has not called me at all thereafter. These people have a peculiar habit of intimidating the other person by saying your are shouting and you are wrong, whereas the fact is that we are not shouting and are making a valid point.

I want a refund of my money since Shine’s representatives have mislead me in paying a total amount of Rs. 8484/- by misrepresenting about the amount to be paid. Also pay an additional amount of Rs. 9000/- for taking advantage of the situation and causing me mental harassment and agony.

Shine.com is totally fake company. In the name of job they fraud me 20000.
Now their executives using faul language.
In the name of job they told me to do payment In 3 parts.

Then 7000
Then 9000
All are with GST.
Then they don't respond you.
They are totally fake.

Fake promise of job asdistance. I lostnearly 26k.I have notrust in this company. Everytime different people interacted me asking money before anything is being done., Do not cheat people and while telephonic conversation, ur hr team made fake promises of job guarantee. Mr. saurab, Anurag and Hr head. All false promises. I have not taken any of your learning packages. Plz return my money or else I have to lodge a complaint with delhi police commissioner. Even I dont mind going to media and expose your company fraudness

Myself Monty Dave. Yesterday (27.12.2021) i had received a call from Mr. Kuldeep singh who told me to pay only 3292 rupees and bo need to pay any other charges. I have done payment of 3292 then again received a call from Mr. Brijesh who demanding more 10560 rupees to process the same.
Its literally a fraud with your clints.
Please take a necessary action against the persons and ask them to give full information of payments to the clients in first call only.
Also request you to Refund my all amount of rupees 3292 immediately, i dont want to activate any plan.
The persons like then venishes all reputations of Shine.com

I was contacted from Shine team yo avail the job assistance services and asked me to pay 3293 rs to avail the premium services.And they said its a one time payment and we wont ask any more fee from you. And they assigned me the relationship manager where i had a call with him 2 days later and he was explaining me about due to your resume presentation you are not getting the job and he was asking me to avail the services one by one after each payment.

The thing is he was never transparent about any of these services until i made the payment for one. And he as asking to pay 15k more resume creation and i felt fishy and didnt make the payment. He was so rude that i didnt make the 15k payment. I paid the amount in the first place because it was shine and it has its reputation. But they are scamming my money on false pretenses. How can i get the refund amount. Can anyone help me out.

I was trying for change in job. Updated my resume in Shine portal. Before updating I had surgery & discharged from hospital.

Shine staff called me & enquired about me.
They said that there is a combo pack available.

I made Rs.3197.00 which I thought I can afford.
Then two more person called me Amit & Anup requested me to share my resume. Post sharing they did R&D & informed the below services names.

Profile creation
Profile Highlighting
Linden Profile creation
Profile sharing
4 certifications

I thought these services will be given for Rs.3197.

Post R&D they did not told upfront payment information for above services. Instead they keep on sending 6 proforma invoices.

I made payment by scared & torture when I was in medication.

I have confirmed to activate services because I paid huge payments but immediately I realized my financial status & said that DO NOT ACTIVATE ANY SERVICES. Also till date I have not received any of the services & do not want any service.

I have also shared my hospital discharge summary reports. Staff not accepting their incorrect guidance.

They did not told me upfront payment information. They did not gave me sufficient time to decide & make payment.

Please help me to get my refund amount of Rs.1, 18, 593.70

My name is Divya Bhavani R, a resident in Old washermenpet, Chennai, TN. I have registered on shine.com for job opportunities sometime back. I received a call from shine representative on "24-DEC-2021” around 10am. The spokesperson was Nithin HR from shine, wherein he explained me about Paid services of shine.com with Nominal price of Rs.3292/-, initially i showed no interest but then he started flattering about the services offered by them, wherein he said they will assign a dedicated representative from shine for me and that person will closely work with me to help me to get new Job in two weeks’ time with this nominal fees only and i don't have to make any further payment. So, i paid this Rs.3292/-
Then around 11:00 am on the same day, I’ve received another call from shine representative Rohit, who claimed to be the person responsible for my profile. He said i need to have verified documents for all what I’ve claimed in my resume( like my education, skill set). I have been asked to do the payment in a link that they shared in email. They didn’t give enough time to think through as they say that the payment link would expire, and the process completion has to be done once initiated. I paid five consecutive payments in the name of verification, assistance, skills and certification. They claimed every payment to be the final payment, after which I would receive login credentials for further proceedings. Even after making five payments they asked again Rs.35000/- for a certified course. All these payments are happened in the span of 1 hr. When they asked the final payment Rs.35000/- for me to land a job, I refused and didn’t pay that money. I then realized that I’ve been scammed. Took sometime to surf through internet to find whether it is authentic or fake. I found numerous scam reports and similar cases like me who lost their money to these people. While I made the payment I was not informed about the no refund. I asked for full refund to which they denied and said there is not refund system in shine. I Have lost around in total Rs.75000 which is my hard earned money. Kindly help me to get my full amount refund from Shine.com.
