The distribution box and Electricity meter boxes are virtually
hanging with lose grips with the wooden box riveted to the wall.

The wooden box containing the distribution box and two meters in my
name along with MCB is also badly affected by termite (deemak) which
has further aggravated the loosening grip.

I am a Retd. A.G.M (Vigilance) from a GOVT. of India dept. In order to
avoid any mishap I request you to kindly consider the
following:

1) The irresponsibility of TATA POWER-DDL official at call
centre & TATA POWER-DDL office sec-3 Rohini needs to be investigated
and responsibility fixed for closing the complaint at their own
without attending the fault owing to which we spent the sleepless
night even without water.
2) The seals having been already removed and paper seals in position,
necessary remedial measures/steps may be taken to shift Electricity
Meters to safer place if need be to avoid any future mishappening
etc at the earliest.

TATA POWER-DDL — name change

Sir
i have apply to the name change . My Reference Notification Number:[protected].
But Still my complaint cancelled I want to know Why cancelled my complaint.
No resolution provided by TATA Power-ddl so far.
The conditions of the electricity meters are very critical.
The rainy season has come and the Meters still not resealed and the same are not shifted to safer place.
Electricity Meter Wooden Board is badly affected by termite (deemak) .
In such a situation both the electricity meters are hanging on the wooden box board.
You are requested to make arrangements to replace the position of Electricity meters to a safe place because the rainy season has arrived and which may create the situation worse.
Thanks for making arrangements to place the electricity meters to a safe location .

This is to remind you that the meters are still not RE-SEALED properly as per procedure .

Only paper seals are pasted on electricity meters with lineman signature on it.

You are requested to arrange PERMANENT SEALS for both the electricity meters as early as possible .
Kindly expidite and oblize.
I have requested for resealing of two elctricity meters but the second meter is still not resealed.
Due to insufficient amount of seals with your department my two electricity meters are still not resealed properly even after sending reminders for the last 4-5 days.

Today a person from your department came to Reseal my electricity meters with insufficient seals in his custody .Because of insufficient seals the lineman resealed only one electric meter box and did not reseal the second meter box.

Only electricity meter protection box is now resealed (two meters).

But the Electricity meter seals which was broken by your department (during shifting process) are still not resealed..

Moreover both Meters Interchanged by your department.
First Floor meter is linked to ground floor and ground floor meter is attached to first floor .
This blunder mistake done by your department may affect the billing process of both meter floors.

Kindly make necessary arrangements to Interchange both the meters to their correct K No./CA No..

    I hereby informing you for the above mentioned subject. Kindly investigate the fault in meter. As there is steep jump in consumption o[censored]nits for the period of 22 - 6 - 12 to 11 - 8 - 12, which is simply three to four times in comparison to previous months consumption, which are as follows:

      The new tariff plan being implemented by TPDDL is highly unjustified. The difference in the bill amount for 200 units and 201 units is Rs.225. Which means 1 unit for Rs. 225!! Kindly rectify this basis of charging immediately. The slab system should continue as earlier – 0-200 units and 201-400 units not 0-200 and 0-400 units.

        I RECENTLY GOT MY ELECTRIC HOUSEHOLD CONNECTION CHANGED FROM RELIANCE TO TATA IN WITHIN A SPAN OF 2 MONTHS THTS FRM MAY 2012 TO JULY 2012 I GOT A SHOCKING BILL OF RS 1852 , 2000 AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY 4900 IN ALL WHICH I HAVE PAID IN PROTEST BUT THE DURING MY TENURE WITH RELAINCE NEVER EVER MY UNITS WERE ABOVE 250 BUT WITH TATA MY UNIT SHOWS 400 PER MONTH WHICH IS HIGHLY IMPOSSIBLE , HENCE I WNT THAT SOMEONE SHOULD TAKE A PROPER ACTION AGAINST TATA AND STOP THEM FROM CHEATING THE CUSTOMERS AS THY HAVE DONE WITH ME NOW

          I AM A TATA POWER CUSTOMER AND RECENTLY I SWITCHED OVER FROM RELIANCE TO TATA AS I THOUGHT ITS A GOOD SERVICE AND THE UNIT RATES ARE LOW AS COMPARED TO TATA POWER BUT TO MY SHOCK IT IS 3 TIMES HIGHER WHERE MY MONTHLY BILL IS AROUND 900 WHEN I WAS WITH RELAINCE NOW SWITCHING OVER TO TATA IS GIVEN ME A BILL OF 1837 WHICH IS TO HIGH AND UNEXPECTABLE , ACCORDING TO ME IT SHOULD ME ALMOST RS 500 AS THE TATA UNIT RATES ARE LESS COMPARED TO RELAINCE BUT THIS IS A MISCHIEF PLAYED MY TATA AND I WONT PAY THE BILL AND I AM ALSO GOING TO SEND A COPY TO THE MEDIA SO THAT PEOPLE WILL KNOW HOW TATA ALSO CHEAT US ,

            Tata Power Consumer No. 2035522
            I had switched from Reliance to Tata Power. Bill Payments were by ECS mandate on HDFC Bank Ltd. After a few months I noticed my bills were loefaulterwer than before. As a honest customer I wrote a letter to Tata Power on 30 th May 2011 requesting them to send a technician to check my meter for underbilling. On 4-6-11 a Mr. K V Johnson replied that the bills were correct citing increased consumption due to summer. It was obvious they had not bothered to read my letter to understand my complaint was exactly opposite i.e. underbilling.
            I wrote again on[protected] reiterating my complaint of being UNDERBILLED. Finally they sent a technician and rectified the meter.
            On 10-8-11 I received a disconnection of supply notice/deeming me a defaulter and asking arrears of Rs. 50338.00
            On 17-8-11 another similar notice of Rs. 1084 was recd.
            I paid the demanded amounts immediately by cheques dated 11-8-11.
            I also wrote on 11-8-11 to Tata Power senior official Mr. Hiten Gokani asking on what basis these arrears were being demanded.
            Receiving no reply I sent a reminder on 14-11-11.
            To date Tata Power has not bothered to explain or reply.

              I Mr. IFTEKAR R KAZI, had applied for a change over from RELIANCE ENERGY to TATA POWER on 24/06/2011. I deposited an amount of RS 235/- which has been cleared for the same.On 14/07/2011 I got a massage through SMS that my change over will take place on the above date. No one contacted me on that date and when I checked your site I got my TATA POWER CUSTOMER NO.2195435, and am massage that my change over is completed. When I checked it again after few day I was shocked to read the massage that the change over not possible due to issue at site.When I contacted your helpline number I was unable to get a satisfactory answer and I am sad to say that I was misguided at times.I request you to kindly see to the above matter as urgent.

                I have switched my electricity connection from reliance to tata. Now when i received the tata bill, they are charging 9% higher in the bill vs my meter reading stating this as sheeling losses of R-infra network.

                Also while charging this 9%, they are using wrong rounding off formula and fooling customers. for example if the meter reading is 123 units, so 9% comes to 11.07 units which while rounding off should be 11 units but they are charging for 12 units. So by doing this small trick, they are fooling thousands of small - small consumers and making big money.

                  Sub: HIGH BILLS / HIGH CONSUMPTION UNITS

                  Dear Sir,

                  I am Shailesh Nandlal Dudani, residing at Flat No:202, 2nd Floor, "E" Wing, Ganga Estate Co-Operative Housing Society Ltd., Off Sion Trombay Road, Near RBI Quarters, Behind Atur Park, Chembur, Mumbai - 400071, I am an ex Tata employee who has served one of the Tata Company at a respectable position.

                  We have recently taken a New Tata Power Connection to our house & have discontinued Reliance Energy, which we had since the BSES was taken over by Reliance and to our "SURPRISE" we got the shock of our life when we received the first bill for two months combined for an amount which till date in our whole life we have never received from any electric company and neither have we ever consumed so high number o[censored]nits ever in our life as was mentioned in your first ever bill received by us at our home.

                  When we informed your toll free numbers, the staff asked us to call another office and gave us another number where they took the complaint and gave complaint number TPC 11186959 dated 10th July 2010, but till date after nearly one month we have yet not received any reason for such a HIGH BILL and we were assured that someone will come to check the meter and verify if any error is there while installing the New Meter, but till date neither any person nor any phone call to check the same nor any concern from any person working in customer care.

                  Now, if this is the manner in which TATA POWER functions then why should companies like Reliance not have the upper hand to distribute leaflets or pamphlets regarding the mismanagement of the Tata Power, and bring shame to a Tata company which is a PRIDE FLAG of we all Indians, it is only a sad situation that a customer has to write a letter to the Chairman of the company for a complaint not being attended.

                  We paid the full amount in good trust that, a Tata company shall take care of its customer, but we were wrong in our thinking, so may be we should stop to pay all your bills and thereafter later someone from the debt collecting department shall come and thereafter take concern and cognizance of the complaint. Not only correct the meter, but also repay the excess amount paid by us in good faith.

                  The worst part is we were informed that, the person who has installed the New Meter was a Reliance Line Man which we have discontinued and not a Tata Power Line Man from whom we have taken the New Connection, since it seems there is some understanding between the line man of both companies and they do create problems in the lines of the meter connection of customers who switch the companies and they in turn get some benefit from there company to do so, well if this is true then it shall be better to go to the consumer court and sort out the matter so as to make sure this non sense is stopped and the necessary action is initiated at the earliest.

                  Well, I sincerely make a request to you to kindly look into the above matter and to please reimburse the excess amount paid to the company in good faith and more importantly correct the meter settings immediately and avoid taking customer complaints for granted for good, since you are working for the most prestigious house in the country which is recognized in all parts of the EARTH as a good respectable and transparent company and known for there customer care, for which the Taj Hotel Terrorist Attack after math is a proof, when Mr.Ratan Tata announced the benefits for all the deceased people whether employee or guest or anyone in the premises of the Hotel.

                  Hope, you shall take the necessary action and steps to make the necessary corrections in the above complaint and not force me to go to the next step, that is to write to the higher persons sitting above you.

                  Tata Power does not attend to any complaints promptly and they give absurd answers and disconnect the phone, saying unnecessary these people call and harass us.
                  No one pays any attention to any number of complaints and the common man is the sufferer since he cannot live without electricity, it is a VERY SAD SITUATION happening with Tata, although it has become the No.1 conglomerate company in the country but is being currently mismanaged to a greater extent. Hope some one can take some serious action and make life of the common man comfortable.

                  Dear Sir,
                  This is in reference regarding Excess Bill since 4 Months. My electric meter change from Reliance energy Ltd to TATA Power Ltd I am getting a very excess bill since 4 Months.

                  But why am I still getting so much high bill every month. I request you to please look in this matter seriously and send your person to check weather somebody is doing theft of electricity from our meter or the meter is faulty. Please inform us the reason why am I getting so much excess bill and when are you going to send your person to check our meter

                  I appreciate if this matter o[censored]nfair excess billing is resolved at the earliest.

                    This is to inform you that we consumer residing in one society at malad,malvani had switched to TATApower instead of Reliance energy in anticipating that our bill amount will go down to some extent but to our failure we are in a shock to see our bill amt raised by tata had gone up and to tell u that this is not our only problem every one is shouting for that only if THE TATAS supply directly why is the bill amt so huge,so sir we are in a dilemma and given two written complaint to TATA mentioning our grievience and to sort it out so once again we will switch to reliance.
                    and to remind you that this is not the fault of the meter because it has been checked before from their side and the report is ok we dont know anytrhing about this.
                    sir pls help us i n this matter because if we pay such a hefty amt against our electricity bill then we have to keep fast the whole month as we all are middle class people.

                    TATA Power — Airtel cheating

                    iam from jamshedpur....im using airtel number,it is providing Missed Call Alert(MCA) for which it is charging 15 rs/month
                    this service is provided to me without any willing from me. it as charged me for 2 times. when i lodged compliant to customer care it did nothing.

                    Tata Power — To get my name cleared from CIBIl

                    I had applied for a credit card.They told me that my name is in CIBIL.Can you let me know which credit card has put my name in CIBIL.How can I get my name removed from CIBIL.

                    Tata Power Bill is huge compared to Reliance and Tata Service is also hopeless.

                    Our Society has also shifted from Reliance to Tata thiking that bill will be reduced reasonably and to my surprise, I am ending up in paying hefty amount ( which never came in my bill for the last 3 years in Reliance).

                    Tata People won't listen. I have decided to switch over to Reliance . If the tariff rates are high with Reliance, Reliance rep. attend the complaints immediately.

                    I have one more request to all the Reliance customers, please do not shift to Tata Power . Their service is totally hopeless.

                      i had switched over to tata power from reliance in mumbai thinking that i will save about rs 200 to rs 300 p month but after receiving 2 bills and comparing with my neighbours bills of the same month to my utter dismay i found out that i am paying about .67 paise more per unit that is to say that every month i m paying about rs 250 more than the relince bill there is a hidden charge of tata paying to reliance i.e wheeling charges which is billed in my bill to the tune of an amount of rs 319 so think twice before opting for such an option

                      Recently I have also switched over to Tata Power Co Ltd., thinking that services would be better and that I will be able to save atleast Rs. 150 to 200 than Reliance. However, It has really proved to me very expensive and now that I am repenting. More over Customer care of Tata Power Co Ltd. are so hopeless and they never listen to the customer. I really do not know how Tatas can afford to keep such useless & in the the Company who are not fit to work in any Company.

                        I am a resident of Wadala (West), Mumbai - 400031. We stay on the 10Th floor of a residential building. We have refineries and factories such as RCF and Tata Power towards our east side in Chembur area. Since about last 2 months in the night after about 10:30pm we face a lot of suffocating air pollution, which smell like ammonia, which is due to the gasses emitted by these factories. These gasses are so severe that we find it difficult to breathe. It is like staying in a chimney. It causes sleepless nights, burning eyes, headaches, etc. We have senior citizens and infants staying in our house. In spite of our several complaints to the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) no action has been taken against this. Our complaints are falling on deaf ears. We find this like slow poisoning. I am sure the extent of pollution definitely exceeds the norms set by the government. Please issue your directives to the concerned officials of your department to check the pollution levels in the night after about 10:30 pm, at higher levels. I therefore request you to kindly look into this matter and save us from this hazardous situation. Please help us.

                        Completely agree with the above comment. We live in Chembur and today morning at around 9:00 am we could smell and see ammonia gas around our building and in the vicinity.
