I recently came across an article on kpop boy band BTS which was published on 14th Dec 2020. There were many hateful comments on the boy band as well as racist comments on our fellow North East Indians. With the growing popularity of kpop in India as well as all over the world the said article was very disrespectful. You described their fandom as 'teenagers who are obsessed with looks' but the fact is this fandom consist of people of different age, cast, gender and creed. BTS is well known as the Global Ambassador o[censored]NICEF. They are known for donating 1 million usd to BLM and their fandom (ARMY) matched that 1 million usd and donated it to BLM. During the recent Assam flood the Indian Fans donated a sum total of 6 lakh and 2+ lakhs to the government for the Corona patients. The said fandom also raised money to donate to the ngos who provide food and fodder to cancer patients in India even donated to an organization who runs night schools in India. There might be a part of our fandom who are teens but beside of all our craze we donate as well. BTS taught us to love ourselves, to become a better version of ourselves and to cherish all the little things in our lives.

I've seen you quoting the negativity but not the positive influence the band and the fandom has. Please do further reserarch before writing any article on someone. You lack of research can leave a negative impact on others. Considering how big you are in West Bengal this was quite unprofessional of you and your team.

Recently I have seen a misinformation displayed in an article through your daily regarding Korean boy band BTS and their fandom Army. They have been put on negative light and their activities, which are mostly charity donations to aid those in needs have been totally ignored. Instead, the article showed BTS' negative influence on today's generation. Instead of considering BTS' positive lyricism that sends hope and a message of self - love there has been an implication that most of the fandom includes immature teenage girls when the reality is actually reverse. Most of the fandom is comprised of people whose age ranges from 18 - 40.So I would like to emphasize particularly on the research to be done appropriately before writing down such false articles. It hampers both the artist's and the fandom's reputation.
I hope this matter is solved as soon as possible and I am looking forward to your positive response.

Stop saying that bts ruin our young generation. First try to understand their song, what they wanna say through the songs. the didn't ruin young generation, they motivate us.If anyone have interest in those k-pop songs that's not your business to judge them wrong or right. so respect them.We don't except those type of things from Ananda bazaar patrika. i hope you understand us.

In the recent article regarding BTS, the fandom army had been put on a negative light that shows that fans as kids who are obsessed and crazy about their idols. Army fandom mostly consists of people ranging from 18-40 years old extreme diversity and love among each other. The fandoms does some charity works influenced by the band. Instead of showing the bright side or beautiful artistry and lyricism of BTS all the article did was defame us in front of locals and fuel the haters.
I request better done to be research before publishing such articles, talk about how BTS make music about self love instead of showing that some phenomena that kids are obessed with.

The article that was published abt Kpop in this newspaper, I find it somehow wrong and that theme of the writing was really offensive, there you mentioned kpop fans as children which is wrong, AR. Rahman, The Beatles's sir Paul praised BTS. John Cena, Rashmika Mandana, S.Korean president, James Corden, Lauv, Max, Halsey, Charlie puth and many more are BTS fans and not only BTS you'll see there are so many fans of kpop in the world even the number is much much bigger than any other fandom, and ofc you must know that ARMY (BTS FANS) IS THE WORLD'S BIGGEST FANDOM, so it can't be only kids, so the thing I fing underrated.
And second of all I find the words like 'Rong chonge and others (I didn't remember all) really bad, but I know it all happened because of lack knowledge, then you must know that kpop is way better than any industry nowadays. Because they talk about self love, social injustice, depression in their songs, also many more things like that they use deep theories in their songs like " The garden of Eden", "sins I life" And many more. They also promote and support LGBTQ, and the biggest thing is please don't write in such way, because of BTS so many people came out of depression and difficulties in their life, go and search for it in Google. They works for children from all over the world, their "End violence against children campaign" Is the reason behind so many smiles, their fandom ARMY also get award from UN. Not only that they donated 1M dollar to support their artist and also to support people in BLM, Indian BTS ARMY always do this kind of thing they help financially in Assam flood etc. Now BTS is Grammy nominated artist with Unicef Inspire award, they topped US I tunes, Indian Spotify, broke several record on YouTube, had sold highest number of album in 2019 in the world, Billboard #1artist in hot 100 and hot 200, MTV award winning ner, AMA winner, VMA winner and many moreeeeeeeee. So please be careful from now on because their fandom and every people are way more sensitive abt their idols because they gave us meaningful songs and also helped us in life with theories like self love and many more. After our parents, loved ones and others kpop idols played a major role because they also helped in difficult times because music has the healing powers.

ছোট থেকে বাড়িতে যে newspaper পড়ে বড়ো হয়েছি সেখানে আজকে এরকম একটা article দেখতে হবে কখনও আশা করি নি। বেশ ক বছর ধরে আমি k-pop follow করি তাই আজকে সকালে আনন্দবাজার এ বড় বড় করে লেখা k pop এর নাম টা পড়ে সত্যি খুব ভালো লেগেছিল কিন্তু সেই ভালোলাগা বেশি ক্ষণ থাকল না। প্রথমেই বলি article টি kpop নিয়ে শুরু না শুরু হয় kpop artist and a member of Bts: Suga র operation নিয়ে ।কেন তা বুঝলাম না। আপনি Suga-র heath এর বিষয় এ জানেন কতটা আর একজন fan তার bias এর একটা major operation এর পর তার জন্য prey করছে এখনে অসুবধা টা কোথায় ? আমদের Amithabh Bacchan এর যখন corona হয়েছিল, সৌমিত্র বাবু যখন hospitalized হলেন তখন তার অনুগামিরা তার জন্য প্রার্থনা করেন নি? এখানে অস্বাভাবিকতা র কি আছে? দ্বিতীয়ত লেখাটা Kpop নিয়ে হওয়ার কথা ছিল কিন্তু পুরো article টাই Bts এবং তার সদস্যদের নিয়ে কেন লেখা হয়েছে ? তবে গা বাঁচিয়ে রাখার জন্য blackpink, mamamoo, saventeen এর নামও লেখা হয়েছে। সব কিছুরি ভালো খারাপ দিক রয়েছে সেটা তো মানবেন। আপনি যে বাচ্চা মেয়েদের উল্লেখ করেছেন তারা এখনও ছোট তাদের এখনো এটা বোঝার বয়স হয় নি কি করে bts এর থেকে inspiration নিয়ে তাদের গান এর মাধ্যমে পাঠান massage গুলো থেকে influence নিয়ে সেটা র প্রয়োগ নিজের life এ করা উচিত। সবাই তো আর অন্ধ অনুগামী হয় না অনেকে বুদ্ধিমান অনুগামীদের হয়। Bts দের million million fan যাদের "Bts army" বলে, তাদের মতামত একবার শুনে দেখবেন YouTube থেকে। 'they lived because they find a cause to live and that cause is Bts' এরকম কথাও কানে আসবে. Some armys says that thay Bts helped them to reach to their dream and helped to become successful in their life, helped them to be a better person. এরকম আর অনেকক মন্তব্ব শুনতে পাবেন। তবে আপনি তার মর্ম বুঝবেন কিনা বা বুঝতে চাইবেন কি না তাতে সন্দেহ আছে। আমরা কোনো তত্ত্ব কোথায় যেতে আগ্রহী নই আপনাকে কে বলল? কেন আমদের kpop প্রিয় তার বিশ্লেশন ঐ বাচ্চা গুলোর কাছে না চেয়ে যারা কথা বলতে চায় এই ব্যপারে তাদের থেকে জানতে চান শুধু বিশ্লেশন কেন পরলে আপনি তদের মতামত শুনে নিজেও একজন kpop fan এ পরিণত হবেন। আরও অনেক কিছু বলার আছে কিন্তু হাত এ সময় কম। in conclusion I just want to say that Kpop rather Bts is a huge chapter that cannot define them in just 10 to 15 lines like a k.g. school paragraph. If you want a fake publicity and TRP than it's a black mark on your face and a brand like Anandabazar. Rather You should publish about their good deeds, their good works their influential messages to the new generation. Tought the children how to use Bts to become a better person..be responcible not a hater. Thank you. No offence.

This article try to spray negativity about Korean k pop groups, which is totally wrong! As a novel author I am strictly against about this article, Korean k-pop is not about teenage crush, it's the way by which many people get rid of depression! This is totally unexpected from a popular news portal, very very disappointing..

Dude please have some Knowledge before you talk about the kings aka bts

Please do some research before printing something.This is a respectful news paper. So you should not print false information. Fans of BTS are not that immature that they just obsessed with them and looking their photos in phone. The boy band inspire us to study also. The song "pied piper" is one of them. Their song helps a lot ofpeople to recover who suffer in depression all over the world. The lyrics of their song is not disrespectful nor useless. So this is my humble request to you that please do some research before you print articles about something or someone .

Today there is an article about k-pop band BTS. In that article they use soo many disrespectful words so... I[censored] don't know about them... Pls... Don't write on the paper... And also... Anandabazar say so many useless and illogical things about BTSamd also theis big fandom ARMYS.. so... Don't judge them i[censored] don't know a little bit thing... Ohh... One thing... If people knows their journey from[protected] .. They will cry... So... Write good about people not... That... Which is not disrespectful, Unexpectable... Always tell the truth to the people. The everyday newspaper which people rely on has written misinformation regarding global superstar BTS. A south korean boy group consisting of 7 members Rm, Jin, suga, j-hope, jimin, v and jungkook.

First of all let me point out that because of BTS the world is in a better place and many lives have changed because if them. And the first and foremost thing how can newspaper even publish such disrespectful things about a band that has saved millons of lives and also spoken at UNICEF and during this pandemic saved millions of lives by donating and also donated to black lives matter. And if talking about fans then let me clear out one thing 'army matched a million' with BTS donated for black lives matter which tollywood actor dev also disrespected the black lives matter hastag. Who is he to disrespect such an important matter? And talking about ditching schools and mobile phones then one should speak about the toxic tollywood which has spreaded toxicity onto youths. BTS just stopped that toxicity from spreading more. And a band who's being considered as the next generation 'beatles' although they are BTS and not any beatles, how dare a bengali newspaper is just mocking BTS and bts armys and treating them like ###S. We bts armys also can treat tollywood lovers like ### because in the end there is no fruit. I don't like to judge but writing these about a band who is a global superstar and hit single dynamite topped the chart this year 2020. Moreover the writers should whom they are writing about, these shows how illeterate they are, using studies in a wrong way. Just do research about BTS and then publish something. You can't beat bts or bts armys to stop loving each other. And let me say if you think you can stop us getting to BTS, stop listening to their music and only listen to tollywood ### which is not having base then you made a wrong mistake. We won't stop loving k-pop. Atleast talents are there unlike tollywood, for those ###S students bunk their schools to watch movies, apply the actions in the real lives. K-pop is the pillar even if the people apply it in their lives, only artistic skills would show up.

That's all i'll not say much more than this otherwise a whole modern history would be produced. Writers please do enough research about global superstars, billboard hot 100 no.1 singers, grammy nominated artists BTS.

The writter should have done some research before writting about global sensation bts. Even their names are written wrong in this article. How can a newspaper make this type of negative ambience about bts?? They are more than just good faces. They have got fame by their sheer hardwork. And obviously they have helped many ARMYs to overcome their depression, anxiety by their music. They convey positive message throughout the world. So they doesn't deserve to be mocked by a newspaper article. don't spread negativity.

When on the first line you wondered why that kid was praying for suga's health, its nothing but because of love. The love that exists between the people who inspires and the people who get inspired. But if you ask BTS, they'd say it's mutual because they would say that they in turn gets inspired by us.
তাই শুধু একটা 'টিনেজ অবসেশন' বা ট্রেন্ড বললে বা আমাদের ডিলিউশনাল টিনেজর বললে বোধয় খুব ভুল হবে। আমি বাঙালি ও এগুলো আমি হয়ত ইংরেজি তে লিখলে আরো ভালোভাবে বোঝাতে পারতাম, কিন্তু বাঙালি হয়েও যে কতটা গর্বিত আর্মি হয়ে তাই প্রকাশ করার জন্যই বাংলায় লিখছি। আপনারা আমাদের অর্থাৎ আর্মিদের নিয়ে কথা বলছেন অথচ এটা একবারও বলছেন না কিভাবে আর্মিরা ৫.৮ লাখ টাকা আসাম এর বিভৎস বন্যার ত্রানে দিয়েছিল। এছাড়া সারা দেশ জুড়ে কেরালার বন্যা ও অন্যান্য নানা ত্রান বিতরণে যুক্ত ছিল আর্মিরা। এবং এ সবের জন্য একমাত্র দায়ী বিটিএস। তাদের গান আমরা না বুঝে শুনিনা, তাদের চুলের স্টাইল, চকচকে জামাকাপড়ের জন্য আমরা তাদের দেখিনা, এমনকি শুধু রঙচঙে পরিবেশনা আমাদের আকৃষ্ট করেনা। তারা তাদের গানের মধ্যে দিয়ে যে আশাবাদী বার্তা, যা আমাদের এই অত্যন্ত কঠিন প্রতিযোগিতার জগতে টিকে থাকতে, নিজের ওপর বিশ্বাস না হারিয়ে এগিয়ে চলতে, এবং এরম এক অতিমারির মধ্যে হতাশ হয়ে না পরে এগিয়ে চলতে সাহায্য করে। আপনারা যে আর্টিকেল টা লিখেছেন তা পরে মনে হচ্ছে আমরা বাবা মায়ের data খরচ করে সময় নষ্ট করি ওদের দেখে। তারা আমাদের জীবনের মূল্যবোধ পাল্টে দিয়েছে, তারা নানান কুসংস্কার ভেঙে এগিয়ে গেছে, ' mental health' যা আমাদের সমাজে এখনো স্টিগমা হয়ে আছে তা ভেঙে এগিয়ে এসেছে সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে, 'toxic masculinity' ভেঙে দিয়েছে, তারা নানান সামাজিক ও রাজনৈতিক সমস্যা নিয়ে গান গেয়েছে, তাদের সর্বক্ষণ একটিই আকুতি, সবাইকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে ভালোবেসে থাকতে। তারা বলে পড়ে গিয়ে পায়ে লাগলেও আবার উঠে শুরু করতে, তারা বলে আমাদের সমস্ত প্যাশন দিয়ে নিজেদের যা ভালো লাগে তাই করতে। তারা বলে দিকভ্রান্ত হলেও বিশ্বাস না । ওরা কার্ল ইউং এর মত মনোবিজ্ঞানীর তত্ত্বের ওপর গান লেখে, তারা ইউনাইটেড নেশনস এর এন্ড ভায়োলেন্স ক্যাম্পেইনে অংশগ্রহণ করে, তারা প্রচুর ত্রান কর্মে নিয়োজিত করেছে, ইউএন এর ইউনিসেফ এর সাথে নানান কাজ করেছে, টাইম ম্যাগাজিন তাদের একাধিকবার নতুন প্রজন্মের লিডার্স হিসেবে বেছে নিয়েছে। নানান বাধা পেরিয়ে নিজেদের লক্ষ্যের পেছনে এগিয়ে যেতে পেরেছি ও ভালো থাকতে পেরেছি আমরা শুধুমাত্র তাদের জন্য। তাই তাদের মতো মানুষদের আমরা অনুপ্রেরণা হিসেবে বাছবো নাতো কাদের আমরা সমর্থন করবো? আপনারা শুধু যে আমাদের খারাপ আলোয় দেখিয়েছেন তাই নয়ে, ওদেরও ছোটো করেছেন ওদের সম্বন্ধে না জেনে শুধু চুল ও জামাকাপড়ের জাকজমকে নামিয়ে এনে। নামগুলো ও ঠিকমতো লেখেননি। ভুল সবারই হয় তবে এটাই আমরা আশা করি যে আপনারা আপনাদের ভুল স্বীকার করে তাদের সম্বন্ধে জেনে তাদের যোগ্য সন্মান দিয়ে আর্টিকেল লিখবেন।

This is insanely rubbish. This kind of misinformation shows their reach to spread hate and nothing else. I'm 23 year old IT professionals and obviously I'm not anyone who's skipping her school or college. A public reporter should atleast have done their BASIC homework before writing about renowned artists. This kind of report shows how responsible such reporters are and how safe our future is... General public rely on news for information but if we get such information them I'm sorry for our sources.
I want, we Army's want this case to be discussed in a proper way with adequate information. Thank you!

Written in a utter tone of derogation. Mockery and sarcasm is intended and highlighted regarding craze of Kpop especially BTS. And the writer even has the audacity to write wrong names of members of BTS.
BTS is a global sensation and they are more than just sparkling clothes and good faces. They are good humans too with extreme talent of dance and vocals. Its very shameful to write about a KPop band that has got fame by sheer hardwork and love by their good deeds in such a tender age of 20s to be talked or rather mocked at by a Newspaper article writer who probably knows nothing about them.

The article written about k-pop, BTS and their fans on December 14, 2020, page 12 is highly disrespectful and racist. Please gather some information before writing and printing anything about anyone. K-pop fans or BTS fans (A.R.M.Y) are not that obsessive as reporter portraited in that article. We love them because of their meaningful and well-written songs that inspire us to live life fully. They taught us to love ourselves, not to spread hatred like you reporters are doing. You even don't know their name and wrote a hateful article about them while being racist to North-East Indians like they don't even exist in India. Why Bengalis can't be K-pop fans? We believe music don't have any barriers like language, country etc. You described BTS fans as teenagers who are obsessed to their looks and who has crush on Suga. But that doesn't define our fandom. Please do some research before spreading any kind of false news. Also BTS gave speech at UNICEF twice, on 2018 and 2020 respectively. People, who have minimum common sense, know that UNICEF doesn't call 'people who destroy other people's lives' to give speeches. So kindly gather some knowledge about other countries and their culture if you want to write about them. We fans at least have general knowledge. One more thing, don't use 'sugar-coated' headline to attract people, it's called clout chasing.

The article consists of misinformation and even the names of band members mentioned are not wrong. The article is written with a tone of mockery which is unacceptable. Please take necessary action regarding this.

আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকার মত এত বড়ো একটি সংবাদ পত্রিকার থেকে এতটা অ-নিরপেক্ষ আর্টিকেল ছাপবে, কোনো ভাবেই আসা করিনি। "আর unfamiliarity সাথে না মানিয়ে উঠতে পারলে একটু তো jealously হবেই.. তাই নয় কি? তার সাথে এমন কিছু আজব পাবলিক এর থেকে ইন্টারভিউ নিয়েছে যারা সম্ভবত lockdown এ Fan হয়েছে, কথা শুনেতো তাই মনে হয়... এছাড়া ওডিশার সেই topper কে তো ভুলেই গেছে যে bts কে thank U বলেছিলো ডিপ্রেশন কমানোর জন্য..

আর আমরা 237 জন members এর group হ্যান্ডল করছি হোয়াটস্যাপ এ নাম বঙ্গ BTS.. FB তে দুটো page 11K members এর, Bengal Bangtaners দের মতো GROUP যারা গত বছর 66K DONATION করেছে..আমরা কিন্তু এই একটা ছেলে মেয়ে কে চিনিনা যারা ইন্টারভিউ দিয়েছে। তবে কি নিজের পার্সোনাল ঝাল মেটানো হচ্ছে সংবাদের নামে??
