The K-pop group you are talking about is one of the largest contributers in charity work. They have raised funds and their fans too. The article is making the group and their fans look bad when that's not the case. And a little information, many toppers have mentioned that how BTS have helped them in studies. Please, do some research before generalising the whole fanbase as “obsessed crazy” fans. Thank you so much.

Please kindly do a proper research before submitting a article in newspaper. The article about BTS, the most popular and biggest boy band in the world and South Korea's pride is misleading... The article contains pointless facts about them which are not real, and it's quite disrespectful. I am submitting this complaint because as a BTS ARMY (BTS's fans are known as ARMY- Adorable representative MC for the Youth), I have full rights to protect my Artist's reputation and their social image. BTS will obviously lead us to a great future through their song's lyrics, and learn that we are not obsessed with them, they are our role model. So please don't share this kind of misleading and disrespectful information about the biggest boy band in the world. I hope you will correct your guilts.

Today an article provide on Ananda bazar Patrika is all fake and hartfull. In the Patrika they all saw us the negatives of BTS and kpop..But they don't write about the positive part of the k-pop. they're song's motivat us.. and also please don't write the wrong spelling of they're name it is so shameless that the Kolkata's best news paper company write the name of The world's best boyband name wrong 🙏🙏🙏

I'm requesting you to study more about BTS before writing any article about them. The article about BTS which was posted today is very misleading & gives people a wrong idea about kpop & BTS. First of all BTS has never asked their fans to leave their studies & listen to their music & stream their MVs. On the contrary they have asked fans all over the world to study hard, achieve their dreams, build a good career & take care of their family & to love themselves. This is the message that they want to spread all over the world. It's clearly seen that the reporter who has posted the article about BTS doesn't know a single thing about the group. He/she has the vague idea that all BTS fans over the world are foolish teenage girls who are going crazy for the good looking South Korean men. For God's sake please stop all these nonsense. We Armies don't stan BTS for their good looks or style or fashion. We stan them because they have a beautiful message to share with the people of the world, their music is healing & gives positive energy. People all around the world irrespective of age, gender, cast, religion,
& nationality love BTS's music, they are the biggest boyband in the world & are a global sensation. They have also received a Grammy nomination for 2021 Grammy Awards. And language isn't a barrier for music. You can love & listen to any country's songs, whether you understand the language or not. This person has totally developed a wrong idea about BTS. Please listen to Kim Namjoon's UN speech before writing anything about BTS. And for your kind information the director general of WHO, Tedros Adhanom has praised BTS for their positive message to the world during covid19. If a person like him can respect & show gratitude towards BTS so much, then I think you should also try to learn something about them before writing nonsense things in the newspaper. I'm just mentioning one name here...there are many other famous personalities who have shown their fondness towards BTS, if you search it, you'll find many. And please try to post positive articles about BTS & Armies. When Armies donated money for covid19 pandemic, what were you doing at that time? People don't notice good deeds at all I see. If you can't post anything good about BTS & ARMIES then you better don't. But we don't want fake, nonsense & meaningless articles about BTS. I hope you get my point.

I appreciate how people are trying to know more about K-pop and BTS but actually this not a good go. Being against few facts I'm complaining so please look into this matter. BTS are not snatching away the attention of young generations but are giving extrem hopes and thoughs. There songs, lyrics helped and helps many people to get rid of stress and teach us how to stay strong, cheerful and also how to love yourself and be confident. Being an Army is this extremely hard for me to accept the writing that came about them. The things and information that are written are completely completely wrong and is not acceptable at all. BTS are not attention seekers. They dominate the world. They help people and us to move on, gives us a lot of confidence and strength. People love them. So its a request not to print wrong information and massages.

The article portrayed BTS as something like drug we kpop fans are addicted to. No, we don't leave our jobs, work, family for them.. it's their music we find comfort in.
The way this article spread negativity about BTS ARMY is unacceptable. Non kpop fans will be misled and they will never be freed from xenophobia and sexism.. We demand an apology and next time the author should know more about this band.

আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকার মত এত বড়ো একটি সংবাদ পত্রিকার থেকে এতটা অ-নিরপেক্ষ আর্টিকেল ছাপবে, কোনো ভাবেই আসা করিনি। "আর unfamiliarity সাথে না মানিয়ে উঠতে পারলে একটু তো jealously হবেই.. তাই নয় কি? তার সাথে এমন কিছু আজব পাবলিক এর থেকে ইন্টারভিউ নিয়েছে যারা সম্ভবত lockdown এ Fan হয়েছে, কথা শুনেতো তাই মনে হয়... এছাড়া ওডিশার সেই topper কে তো ভুলেই গেছে যে bts কে thank U বলেছিলো ডিপ্রেশন কমানোর জন্য..

There was an article in the newspaper dated 14th December 2020 about K-pop fandoms...especially pointing towards BTS and BTS ARMY famdom.I can assure that almost the whole article is written intentionally to defame K-pop fandoms especially BTS ARMY fandom and the entire fandom is generalized based on I don't know what kind of misinformation they collected... maybe some are obsessed but based on that you can't generalize millions in the fandom...there are many successful people in our fandom too... majority are hard working but no one generalized and said our entire fandom is hard working or successful right?...and BTS gave us the message to study hard and work hard for our dreams and achieve what we want...when we are stressed out and feel entirely burnt their music give us relief that these days will pass and one day we will get the things that we are working for...we should not stop and then with the positive mindset we work even more harder... they have a huge impact on many lives... including mine... please consider this side of our fandom too... I humbly request the management to revise the articles carefully as BTS are global artists and such misinformation and defamatory statements can have huge effects... I humbly request the management to be considerate about such things...thank you

Firstly, it is a very unprofessional article based on assumptions and hypocrisy, and is lacking basic facts. It is basically a hateful article, which states that kpop is doing nothing but harm to the present generation. This is purely a biased(as well as false) opinion and for it to be published on a national news platform is just not acceptable. The article portrayed BTS as just a teenage craze, while it skipped all of their achievements and success like their records, Grammys, their global impact and how Time Magazine, WSJ, etc. made them their covers, the list is never ending. Nothing of such sort was mentioned. What was mentioned was that someone's mother said that her child is busy with her phone all day and it has increased because of kpop and that another fan is praying to god for SUGA's(BTS member) surgery. These kind of comments are baseless and the phone problem can happen for all different reasons like gaming and all and not only because of kpop. The ones who were interviewed are just overly obsessed fans who know nothing of the true reasons why we love BTS and kpop. The interviews were taken only of these type of childish fans who just like BTS only because of superficial things like looks or trends. There are numerous other ARMYs(BTS fans) and other kpop fans and enthusiasts who can properly give an interview to anyone anytime and will include facts and not those rubbish that was mentioned in the said article. Kpop is not just colourful, dance, jumping around and all that. The speaker in the article would not have said that if he/she knew what kpop is and had taken atleast a minimum amount of time to consider listening to the music and then think about writing such disrespectful things. Yes, there is definitely glamour and all that hyperness in kpop, but it is not the only thing that lures us as listeners to their music.
Then there is also something about the language. If people are literate enough, they can easily understand everything as there are subtitles. People watch english movies and songs with subtitles, then within India we have so many different languages and still people use subtitles or translations to understand them. So why not kpop? In simple words, why not use the same technique for korean? Language should never be a barrier to anything and BTS has proved that to the whole world.
And most importantly, the article was about some immature students who as stated in the last paragraph of the article, don't want to talk about reasons and facts and why they like kpop, but are only waiting for new song releases and unimportant things; while there is a whole lot of mature people out there who(if interviewed) can clearly state reasons and facts and this doesn't include only teenagers. Mature college or university students, office workers, and etc. of different age groups and professions are also there as kpop lovers.
There are many more things I can discuss regarding that trash of an article that was published, but I think I will stop now. Kudos to you if you made it till the end.

The Article published on BTS in your news paper is way too disrespectful towards the world class, UNICEF speaker, Grammy nominated group from South Korea. Not only your writer showed how much uneducated he is but also how much racist he is. Is this a Facebook page to state your hate towards a certain group? He didn't do a background check on BTS, what they do, what their songs means and what is their impact, but just stated his inner hatrated towards BTS, without even knowing. For years I have known your news paper was a truth speaking one. But after reading this article I can't say the same anymore. There are other many leading Newspaper even Rolling Stone covered articles on BTS but none of them disrespected BTS the way your writer did. You are a leading Bengali News paper, this is your duty to serve your readers the truth not some personal hate towards a certain group. In the recent news article regarding BTS, the fandom army had been put on a negative light that shows the fans as kids who are obsessed and crazy about their idols. ARMY fandom mostly consists of people ranging from 18-40 year olds with extreme diversity and love among each other. The fandom does charity work influenced by the band. Instead of showing the bright side or the beautiful artistry and lyricism of BTS all this article did was defame us infront of locals and fuel the haters.
I request better research to be done before publishing such articles, talk about how BTS makes music about self love instead of showing them as some phenomenon kids are obsessed with.

Okay soo I wanna just say that the news published about BTS is wrong . You have misinterpreted the whole scenario of the love for k-pop we have and presented it as a bad and toxic thing . U should hoogle the actual story of about why k-pop is soo famous and not assuming it as because it has catchy melody and good looking guys and girls nooo that's not the case . Soo pls search up . And I assumed that it a a news about k-pop and not bts . Soo why the have u talked about only bts. BTS falls under k-pop, k-pop is not bts. Also the things u have said about army's is not true . Next time i[censored] publish anything about k-pop include the other grps too and not only bts and don't talk bad about the love we armys have for bts pls try to know why we love bts and stop assuming that we are only stannig them because we get blinded due to the catchy melody it's not the case . Throughout the section the only thing mentioned there was the apparent crazy behaviour of the fans for BTS. No where in the report was the reason behind why the group is so well liked and followed mentioned as they didn't even bother researching on that part showing a very biased view and portraying a negetive image of the group and the fans. This is a very unprofessional report which neither does Justice to the good work the band does nor the fandom who work hard to promote the positive messages BTS spreads.

The recent article published by Ananda Bazar, "কোরিয়ার পপ গানে মজে বাঙালির নোতুন প্রজন্ম" highly lacks research. It is disappointing that a reputable media outlet is out there generalising a group of people containing millions, from different walks of life, of different ages, genders and professions.

With a huge stigma against the artists you have mentioned in the article, the least the readers expect is a well-researched article. As a 20 year old myself, it is very disappointing to see that praying for the welfare of a certain someone who underwent a serious surgery is termed childish, when it is an act of humanity. It is also very disappointing that even when there was a chance, the article doesn't mention the kind of music the group produces, that is the reason why they have amassed this kind of popularity. Instead, it goes on to stereotype the fanbase into a bunch of school-going kids skipping school to watch them for their looks?

I advise that the media organisation hereon researches well on what they are writing. I also request the outlet to issue an apology regarding this as well. Thank you.

The entire article is very misleading. Please do proper research before talking about something like this. This article has just potrayed how negative kpop can be. Whereas they have encouraged us to Love ourselves, work hard for our dreams and be kind. We are here for their music and love not their looks or dressing sense.
