Hello, this is Diya ghosh. Today a news about kpop was published in ananda bazar patrika. That is good. But i have a question. I just want to know how you can write an article about a particular topic without doing a proper research. It is clearly visible that you all have not researched about kpop properly. Most of the informations which y'all have stated in this article were actually false. And the alligations which y'all have put against kpop were actually totally wrong and pointless. And one more thing i have to clear it out is that kpop doesnt only have young teenager fans, many elder people are also in this kpop fandom. Even some parents also support their children in this . Indeed some kpop stans are immature but its not only because of kpop. It was stated that young students are ditching their online classes just to watch kpop contents and i agree with that. but what about other students ? In west bengal we dont have that much of kpop fans so obviously there are other students too who are not a part of this kpop fandom and at the same time they are also ditching the online classes . So what will you say about those kids . I am not supporting this immature fans. But i just want to let you know that this alligation which you've stated against kpop is partly false. And i dont know whats wrong about showing interest in korean culture and language . Is it bad if anyone is willing to learn about a new culture, a new language. Its not like we are insulting our own country, its not like we are degrading our own language, our own culture. We respect all the languages and all the other cultures of this world equally . Its just we are interested in an extra language . We want to learn learn a different culture. We are showing our interest on korean culture . But that does not mean that we are degrading our mother land. We are adding a new language into our knowing list . We are learning another language . Is it that wrong. Think that wisely. And secondly it was stated that north indians are mostly kpop stans because those people and koreans almost have similar appearence and hindi is not that much popular over there. So you are trying to say that they are not a part of india thats why they are like this? I mean what type of a stupid reason was that. It doesnt depends on nationality okk. And we definitely didnt found our interest on kpop just because of their colourfull themes, not because of their glamour. We love them because they are successful in entertaining us. We liked them because they make us happy. Because we are learning so many things from them . Because of their songs, because of their coreographies. You know each and every kpop song delivers a meaningful message. They dont just write anything . They put their heart and soul in it. And they treat their fans properly with respect unlike some famous well known celebrities from our country . And most importantly they united so many people together. They made us more mature through their simple songs . Indeed we kpop fans are swooning over these idols and young girls are finding their new crushes and loves on them . But it is natural . People do have celebrity crushes. And it is much better than getting into a relationship with someone at this age and getting heartbroken after that, it is much betten than getting hurt while being in a relationship with a cheater. At least we are happy with our celebrity crushes and not crying over a stupid boyfriend. At least we are not ruining our lives.
So i Just want to say that before posting an article, please go and research about that particular matter properly . Just because few people have complained about how their kids are getting obsessed with kpop and ruining their lives, y'all cant write a whole damn article on the basis of that. But y'all havent stated the good sides of kpop because y'all havent researched about this topic properly.
Dont publish an article for the sake of publishing. Dont use informations to increase fame and TRP. Media is known as the fouth pillor of this society.

The article on KPop which was published in your esteemed daily on 14th December 2020 is a very relevant article. However the article seems lacking on several aspects. Although the writer has tried to remain politically correct, by not making any homophobic comments; but a subtle bias is shown when we see him targetting the women audience. In a way the article infantilises the choice of teenage girls. KPop like any other cultural product has become a global sensation during the COVID gloom. The article also does not notice how the KPop culture has helped teenagers bond across the globe. It also ignores how these bands and drama series has played a huge role in bridging gender gaps and gender roles. I feel such articles which lack research should not find a place of pride in your newspaper. It is highly disappointing that this biased article was published in the most popular Bengali daily.

Please do some research before writing something about someone i hope you guys will do better in future GOOD LUCK.

Its very disrespectful what you wrote about kpop and BTS. We fans(army) don't only discuss about member's crush or our bts crush. We don't use our phones only to see them all day as you portrayed we are wasting our time. And especially none o[censored]s are obsessed with them. Their music healed us and helped a lot to overcome quarantine blues. If you are writing about them or someone or some kpop group please know correct details and their impact on our life before writing. We'll be grateful if you'll correct things when reporters going to write about kpop and BTS in future.

I would like to inform that the article about World Dominating South Korean Boy band BTS was published on 14th December, 2020, was poorly written. It's very offensive for the fans (ARMY) to see that only teenagers are fans which is definitely not true. They've helped a lot of people of different ages through their music. The person who wrote it, hadn't research at all on BTS.It's also written that it's our madness, obsession.No, it's not, it's the love and support towards them who helped us a lot through our hard times. The person even wrote the members name wrong and name another kpop group member as BTS. We definitely don't expect this much disrespectful article towards an Artist and their fans from such a huge newspaper company. If you look forward this, it'll be really helpful. And from next time please do proper research before posting the article.

Would highly recommend if the news editor would do the job they are paid for and not spread false information and biased views.
Asking 12 year olds and naming their obsession as a trend, is that what you guys are depending on now? The actual scenario is lotta different.
Also, this is direct insult to the band and their fandom. Never thought a popular newspaper would've to take advices from us regarding publishing such articles.

I feel like the article is highkey inappropriate as the reporter intended to bash BTS as well as the fanbase in a satirical way. Not just that they even put racism into it by bringing Northeastern people to the matter and relating South Korea to Northeastern India. I show my uttermost disapproval to this article and don't want to see another article mocking them in this kind of a way!

The article written on the anandabazar patrika newspaper of 14th December, 2020 on BTS is very misleading and very unprofessional. Clearly no research was done about BTS before writing the article. The article includes the idea that only young girls listen to them and they miss their classes just to fangirl over them. Whoever wrote this clearly didn't even put an effort to research about their fans. First of all the average age of a BTS fan is 18-24. Secondly, it was also mentioned that we listen to a foreign language song that is incomprehensible. Calling a language incomprehensible just because the writer of the article does not know the language clearly shows how racist and xenophobic that person it. Also for your kind information, if you put an effort to research about them and their music, you'd know their is English caption with all their songs and music video. The article also said that we only love BTS because of their looks. Well, we dont buy their music to look at their faces and they didnt get a Grammy nominations just because of their looks.
The article is therefore so misleading, racist and xenophobic. I hope the person who wrote this will take the full accountability and we hope articles in the future will be non biased. Please correct the mistake that the writer of the article has done.

On 14th December 2020, Monday edition of the paper. An article about BTS and their fandom was displayed. The article covered silly points fr daily life of certain Armys who were mostly high schoolers and middle schoolers. They gave the same old narrative of the fandom being filled with "madness" of young girls. it's very unethical of a newspaper with such a huge circulation to publish such articles. As a student of Journalism and as a Fan of BTS it filled me with shame and disgust.

I know this complaint is repetitive, but I request you to kindly find time and read this.You do have an idea about the population of India. Giving reference to a few fans certainly doesn't prove the whole Fandom to be the same as the cherry-picks descriptions in the newspaper. Yes, there exist fans who are obsessive, but a coin has two sides. Music was introduced to crush the bridge of diversity and bring the spring of humanity together. In a way, the newspaper disrespects Music in general by referring to the fact that "korean language is not really understandable". They have attracted obsessive fans, but their music have saved many lives and have helped people through worse. Much of the fandom raises funds for natural calamities and helps humanity in general. This actually brings out the true nature of newspaper. They only exist to divert the eye of public whenever deemed necessary. If you really want to keep people updated about K-pop, kindly have a proper research about the positive side as well as the negetive side and refrain from only providing outdated and partly-true information. If this news gets out into the international fanbase, the newspaper will gets criticized, not the fans. I would like to conclude by hoping you understand the situation. Thank you.

Dude just go and do a bit more research on the band and the fandom you're writing about before accusing them of something they didn't even commit. Do you even know what they are doing or what they have done for the us? how there music have changed us and helped us during this tough time and not only that their music inspired not only me but millions. I'm not saying this things only for bts but also for the k-pop bands that you've mentioned in that article trying to defame them by falsely accusing them of ruining us. And interviewing parents who doesn't even know their name or about k-pop or bts will not help in writing your article instead it will make or already made the article toxic and negative and if you really want to know why we always "say their name all time" according to that article i.E. Why are we their fans then y'all should interview the fans not the parents.So again im requesting y'all please do some research before writing trash about anyone and it applies to all k-pop bands not only bts.

As in the morning we got to see a very hurting and very bad commencement has been made about K POP respectively BTS . The news didn’t had any reason and had been very disrespectful against K POP we hope that this type of things should not be post or else we will complain in the head office. They should not right any disrespectful article about someone without any reason.

The article about BTS dated on 14/12/2020 is misleading. BTS has been helping a lot of people going through mental health problems including me. Their music helps a lot of people heal. You may ask how do we understand a whole different language right? Well, if you don't know, there is google available everywhere where people can find the English lyrics. You can take some time and read the lyrics of their latest song Life Goes ON. The article proves why India is still developing and not developed. The mindset of whoever wrote the article is still old aged, would also add racist. I would request you to take strict actions against the News Company Ananda bazaar Patrika on defaming artists who are known worldwide, who have helped a lot of people, donated for the BLM fund and many more.

The article concerning bts is very poorly researched. For a reputed newspaper your article quality is really lacking.

No fangirl of bts is missing school, college or work to watch their video. We're all just fans. Bts fans collected donations for Assam floods did y'all write about that? Did you even write about the Assam floods? If you don't know information then stop spreading misinformation. We will mass email the company of bts and they will sue you for defamation.

Please be aware of the work don't and stop painting the girls of your own country in a bad light.

A few hrs ago, a news about bts has been published which was very disrespectful TO KPOP TO BTS!
I just don't know what's the problem of these news publishers. There are armys WORLDWIDE!
