The article was poorly written and the person who wrote article didn't even do proper research, used wrong names and also named a person as a part of group who is not, and also was very stereotypical. please do your research, it looked like an 8th grader's essay who hates BTS

I would like to complain against the article about Kpop especially about BTS. The things written in the article is totally wrong. Without knowing someone how can you write about them? We don't waste our time seeing them. We love them because they inspire us through their songs and through their song's lyrics. They struggled a lot to reach the position where they are now. But you surely don't know about it because you didn't research properly. I would suggest you to know more about them and then write. Being a reputed newspaper you did a very shameful thing. You should apologize for it.

I am deeply hurt by the news that you have printed . The subject about BTS. Do you know about them properly? I am not going to buy your newspaper anyway . You should apologize to BTS and kpop fans😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

We really appreciate the fact that people are being more familiar with BTS in Bengal. Although the recent article that was published today is really disrespectful and toxic. It contains statements which are not at all correct. Before publishing an article about the biggest act in the world some consideration should be done. This is really embarrassing and disappointing. Firstly called the entire Army community "obsessed teenagers" is really disrespectful when many people of the army community are even parents, teachers, office workers etc...Not all o[censored]s are 9-10 y/o. BTS helps us learn important things which is ignored by the society nowadays. They focus on important subjects like mental health, "loving yourself", charities and many more postive things. They stand against bullying. One's mental halth is really important . Anxiety, Depression is a very serious topic and many o[censored]s have been through it or even still struggling with it, but the messages BTS convey help us get through the rough times in our life. Their songs play a very important role in our life as their lyrics are very meaningful and gives positive energy during ups and downs . When it comes to studies, they motivate us and help us focus more and work hard and the result is always good. Instead of highlighting negativity the media should highlight how they actually help us to cope with stress and play an important role in our life, Do charities, Stand against bullying, Make us love ourselves, Help us work hard and focus on our careers, And how they always bring positivity with their meaningful songs, make us bring the best version of ourselves and a never ending list of reasons . We would like an apology for disrespecting the whole community as well as Grammy nominated artists.

The boy band you are talking about is not a distraction or a harmful thing . You are making people distract by publishing this in a newspaper. They never forced us to watch their videos or anything . They are motivating us each and every time . Even if we are far away we are never separated we are always together and they proved it . They love us and to show their love back we ARMYS donated money that too 1 million dollars !!! And 1 million dollars is not a small thing . The article you have published is the worst article ever. Before writing nonsense about any one please go through your researches properly . Not only the youth but the old people also get motivated by them . THIS BOY BAND IS THE BIGGEST BAND IN THE WORLD WHICH MADE AN INFLUENCE IN CHANGING THE SOUTH KOREA's RULE, EVEN THEIR OWN COUNTRY AND 192 MORE CONTRIES RESPECT THEM AND ADORE THEM . THEY ARE NOT SAYING ANYTHING BAD . SO GO THROUGH YOUR RESEARCH AND DO NOT DISRESPECT SUCH RESPECTED PEOPLE ELSE IT WOULD HOW DISRESPECTFUL THE PEOPLE OF OUR COUNTRY ARE !!!

We clearly know how much time we spend on bts. And it does not affect us. Bts write songs which are really helpful . It helps us . So stop judging us and instead write about the things that are going on in our country right now. I hope for your cooperation . We love bts because of who they are and what they do. So please dont wrote these things about us . I'll be really grateful if you take this into consideration.

You can't share any biased kind of article on your highly affiliated daily because that shows racism towards other countries' cultures and also hurts the feelings of people who stan these groups. You dont have the right to judge somebody. You can put your views but not decisions or statements😊. I hope you all apologize for what you have done.

It would had been better if the article on BTS/ K-pop was not on the new paper ok we get many are not doing whatever they did Bollywood is going down our generation doesn't like copied things. Bollywood is copied anyways . I get students are not doing work but atlets they are leaning something great which bollwood or anything is not teaching them all ARMYS fought against anxiety and depressed we all are kids we suffer every one o[censored]s do and we are affraid of saying it to eldrs cuz they say we are ok atlets we lernt to love ourselves which is more than anything BTS thought is that atlets we can speak for outself. We are strangers all over the world but we love each other support each other not even knowing us, our language, country, religion everything is different but we are together with their music their music gives us the strength to move on it gives us happiness which we deserve in all this stress it helps us. That's the reason we love BTS we love kpop it not just helped me millions of people we love ourselves through BTS and kpop. If you all think it's wrong it's your point? Yes many children are doing skipping online class they should not but it's not all we all have our own dreams we wanna do that still we have to hold on cause what our parents allows is only studies. And the main point is the article can't destroy our image we hope a lot of people but now parents will get a wrong idea for that not all o[censored]s are doing that who are doing they just like kpop just all do I am in kpop since I was a child and it just helps me a lot when I am down the musics lyrics light ups our mind .so please stop saying kpop is destroying or spoiling young people. As being a ARMY and a kpop multi stan me and my fellow ARMY are very offended. They worked hard on theirs songs and we by listing fell happy. Today your newspaper published an article on kpop & bts. The article is poorly written since it portrays a wrong image of the fans. It portrays them as crazy fans who ignore studies to listen to their songs which is false. Someone's music choice has nothing to do with their academic life. It is also racist as it says that people of Mizoram, Manipur love kpop because they look similar & have similar culture which is not true. This is a very unprofessional move on your behalf. I hope you publish more well written articles in future.

I recently read an article, "Korea-r pop gaane moje Bangali-r notun projonmo" by Mr. Rajibaksha Rakshit, that was not only disrespectful of the Korean artists but also highly racist in its views. I understand the parents' concerns for their children missing out on classes and I'm in no way supporting these fans, but that doesn't give anyone the right to insult or show the artists in bad light. The reporter did not even care to find out if the transliterated names of the said artists are correct. Moreover, their assumption of the fact that just because North-Easterners have similar physical features to Koreans, that they prefer their music, is nothing short of sheer racism. Perhaps a little bit of introspection would help the reporter in this matter. The lack of representation, and continuous misrepresentation and stereotyping of these communities in media and entertainment industries of our country, might have made them feel socially excluded and therefore, led them to prefer music and other mode of entertainment that makes them feel appreciated. This mere insensitivity towards your own countrymen is lacking in most people of our country and I'm sorry to say this but the 'elders', you lot, are to be blamed. Your continued racist behaviour is utterly shameful and shows nothing but a highly outdated way of thinking. I sincerely hope this sort of reporting doesn't occur again, not just because KPop is in trend, but because this newspaper is one of the most popular and reputable ones in our region, and seeing its degrading quality of news reporting really makes me question its reputation. As humans we should always respect one another, regardless of our differences. That's the least we can do.

This is to inform that the article written about K-pop and their fans on the 14th of December, 2020, page 12, is highly racist and disrespectful. It’s disheartening to see how awfully all the achievements and messages of self-love that the idols give their fans is reduced to the ashes of "trend" and "obsession". The reporter has referred to the K-pop genre, especially BTS as a mere source of time wastage for "teenagers". Firstly, like Indian music, Korean pop is also a genre of music which not only kids, but even people aged 40-50, do listen and enjoy. If you had done a little bit of research, you should have known that K-pop music inspire us to love ourselves and strive for a better tomorrow. Did you listen to the speeches that BTS gave at UN twice? In 2018 and 2020 respectively. Well, I never knew that The United Nations call "people who destroy others’ lives" to give speeches on how we should move on with our lives even though the darkest clouds may overcast us. Sorry to say, standing in the 21st century, even now people use "gay", "lesbian" as an insult, treat "depression" and "anxiety" as social evils. It’s sad to say that loving and getting inspired from people who are actually promoting various solutions through their songs is termed as "obsession". Also, it was said that the girl prayed for Suga to get alright from the shoulder injury. I want to ask, is it wrong to pray for someone who has been your shelter in your hard times. But that, according to some people is obsession. The article published is extremely mean and racist towards the North Indians as to only they can promote Korean culture as they are Mongolians, but not us, Bengalis. To be reminded, Korean pop culture is far beyond sitting with the mobiles and jamming to the songs. We understand their language because we are interested. Those songs act as our refreshment button from the neck break competition that we face every day in academics, in day to day lives, everywhere. K-pop songs make us happy. Lastly to add on, the people who were interviewed are students studying in class 7 who are interested about nothing but to show off as an ARMY. These people are only because of the hype that is in the air now. But I am sure if the true K-pop stans are interviewed, they will tell how K-pop songs helps them strive for a better future and also encourage them to donate for the cause of the less privileged.

In today's newspaper, an article was published about Kpop and BTS. The reporter took the interview from a class VII 's student who seems to be new ARMY. But in that article only the bad sides of BTS and kpop are written. Specially it's kinda troll of BTS. So please kindly review it. BTS is not only a south Korean boy band but also a boy band who connected the world through their songs and influenced the whole world. So it's better not to write any kind of things like this again.

The recent article printed in your newspaper about BTS fans is completely false. I am a student and I don't ditch my work or study because of BTS, and we are not crazy obsessed fans. We love their music and lyrics, they are helpful!! Due to exam stress I listen to their music and it helps me. Can't you write about the Assam flood donations made by Indian Armys or how students feel relief by listening to their songs. And even if it's not our language, we feel the music and use Google to translate the lyrics, we understand the music and MUSIC IS AN UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE!! You have to feel it. Please don't call us obsessed fans and don't say we ditch our classes and studies.

The article about BTS was really a very disrespectful and nobody can talk about BTS because they don't have any right. They taught us how to love myself and if loving BTS is crazy thing then tell me one thing, the teenagers are in some typical relationship and i think loving BTS is much better than involving in a relationship. Atleast we can learn something. And for your kind information we love them really so much, and we don't waste our time. And please don't publish that type of worst news about BTS.

আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকার মত এত বড়ো একটি সংবাদ পত্রিকার থেকে এতটা অ-নিরপেক্ষ আর্টিকেল ছাপবে, কোনো ভাবেই আসা করিনি। "আর unfamiliarity সাথে না মানিয়ে উঠতে পারলে একটু তো jealously হবেই.. তাই নয় কি? তার সাথে এমন কিছু আজব পাবলিক এর থেকে ইন্টারভিউ নিয়েছে যারা সম্ভবত lockdown এ Fan হয়েছে, কথা শুনেতো তাই মনে হয়... এছাড়া ওডিশার সেই topper কে তো ভুলেই গেছে যে bts কে thank U বলেছিলো ডিপ্রেশন কমানোর জন্য..

Please stop spreading negativity and don't think that all the armies are same. The toxic ones are totally different. And the girl is totally innocent so she had done that sort of things. So, please stop spreading such negativity. It's an ernest request.

A recent article in your newspaper wrongly stated the names of the BTS members. First of all the group was potrayed in wrong light saying they are distracting students whereas they have always asked and encourage d us to work hard towards our dream and secondly and what was more disrespectful was to state their names wrong. If not known to the writers they could have skipped the names but they did not. It is not acceptable.

The article you've written about the biggest music act, BTS and the largest fanbase, ARMY in your paper is misleading and totally defaming both the artists and the fanbase.
Our fanbase consists of more adults than teenagers. We don't bunk classes. I guess you're not aware that a aieee topper told to a newspaper that she got the inspiration and motivation from BTS and their message. I would like to complain agaist the news written about k-pop especially BTS. First of all everything written there is not true at all.secondly the person who gave the interview looks like a new fan from the things which she said..and the way the interviewer wrote the things were very disappointing..BTS is not just any group..they are a group which gave us strength to fight in our life.their songs saved many people from depression..their fans provide donations to orphanage, child cancer centres etc.nothing like these are mentioned there...everything written in this article is negative and not true at all..I feel disappointed that such a known newspaper us spreading news without correctly knowing anything about a band only becoz they r from a different country..music doesn't have any language barrier.. this type of article was not expected from this newspaper.

There was an article in the newspaper dated 14th December 2020 about K-pop fandoms...especially pointing towards BTS and BTS ARMY famdom.I can assure that almost the whole article is written intentionally to defame K-pop fandoms especially BTS ARMY fandom and the entire fandom is generalized based on I don't know what kind of misinformation they collected... maybe some are obsessed but based on that you can't generalize millions in the fandom...there are many successful people in our fandom too... majority are hard working but no one generalized and said our entire fandom is hard working or successful right?...and BTS gave us the message to study hard and work hard for our dreams and achieve what we want...when we are stressed out and feel entirely burnt their music give us relief that these days will pass and one day we will get the things that we are working for...we should not stop and then with the positive mindset we work even more harder... they have a huge impact on many lives... including mine... please consider this side of our fandom too... I humbly request the management to revise the articles carefully as BTS are global artists and such misinformation and defamatory statements can have huge effects... I humbly request the management to be considerate about such things...thank you
