Hi,

Sub:- Fraud Priority Membership Charges.

I am Ritesh Nigam user of barcklay credit card no [protected], i wanted to lodge a Harassment complaint against this bank. They have charged me some Rs 6000/- on my card as there Premium Priority Membership Charges without my consent & also they are charges me a very Interest on that amount for the last 2 yrs. Now they are demanding me Rs 16000/- as my current outstanding.

I don't no what to do in that case as I am not using any membership of this Fraud Ban.

Twice I asked them to settle this amount ( once on 6000 k & second time on 7000 K ) when i agreed to that they told me to first pay they due outstanding & they will settle this amount. But again they did fraud to me after paying they due amount nobody called me for settlement & again started harassing me.

Now they have entered my name in CBIL ( Credit Information Bureau India Limited ) as defaulter & because of this my personal loan application got rejected.

Please help me because these people are harassing me for the last 2 years

I am also using credit cards of ICICI Bank & Citibank for the last 4 years you can even check my record with them.

Barclays Bank — Fraudulant charges

Despite making Full payment on time I have been charged Interest... this is still unanswered even after several conversations & corrspondance.

Emils to [protected]@barclays.com are not getting delivered.

I am Rajendra P. Lokhande of barcklay credit card no [protected], i wanted to lodge a Harassment complaint against this bank. They have charged me some Rs 6000/- on my card (before 1 year & 7 month) as there Premium Priority Membership Charges without my consent & also they are charges me a very Interest on that amount 700 Rs for every month, that time I am contact to customer care for credit card dept. but they toled me you should be pay this amount to bank then I toled to customer care cancel or block my credit card and a I am not pay this amount I am only pay my transaction amount for mobile bill that time I am pay mobile bill on my barcklay credit card.then I pay the this amount to barcklay. after 3 month they cancel 6000 Membership Charges. but Interest and service tax not cancel. Bank every month charge 700 Rs for late payment charge.till Nov 2009 Now they are demanding me Rs 6000/- as my current outstanding.

Twice I asked them to this amount they told this is late payment charges for 10 Rs.and they told me to pay they due outstanding amount.

Please help me because these people are harassing me for the last 2 month.

I am having credit card of BARCLAYS BANK vide their card no.[protected]. In this connection I would like to inform you that I had given my request for Balance Transfer to my G-money card in May 2008 for Rs.26800/- and they had sent the same to me in favour of G-money and the same cheque was deposited with the Bank, but later on I have received the call from G-money bank that the cheque was bounced due to signle signed by the bank authority instead of joint signatory account and they have charged the delay payment interest as well as late payment charges due to mistake of BARCLAYS BANK.

Again I had request to Barclays bank in the month of July 2008 to make me fresh Balance Transfer in favour G-money Bank for Rs.23800/- instead of Rs.26800/- which was bounced due unsigned and they had done and same was paid and encashed.

Sir, I had the full amount of Rs.23800/- alongwith their processing fees with in the stapulated time period, which was given the Barclays. I have received the bill for the month of July 2008 from Barlays they have written both the amount as Rs.26800/- + Rs.23800/- and frame the over limit charges on me, which was wrong and I had made the complaint with customer care many times, but later on they revert the First Balance Transfer amount and processing charges in next bill, but over limit charges not reverted.

In this connection I had lodged many complaints in customer care as well as e-mail to Barclays, but there is no response till today. Now I had applied for car loan through SBI and they rejected my application with the note that my name has registered in CIBIL vide control no. 41, 67, 90, 206.

So you are requested take the necessary action against the Barclays Bank, because they have not rectified their records and noted my name CIBIL, which totally harrasment of customer like me.

Please take the neccessary action as soon as possible and instruct the Bank authority to remove my name from CIBIL defaulter list.

    I am working with this company Barclays Shared Services is a big time fraud as they have swallowed my incentives for 5 months as they say that i had not performed well wherein i know the scores very well becoz it was me who was involved they say they are customer services but have sales as a major part and mislead new joinees

    Barclay — bad business

    My credit limit has always been $700.00. Today, I went shopping. I had a balance of $440.00. I made a purchase of about $100.00. I was told my card was NOT GOOD. WHAT? I had plenty of credit left for that purchase. I was embarrassed.

    I called the credit card company. Could not understand the accent of the customer "service" rep. After struggling to understand her, she stated that my credit limit had been lowered. I asked why. She said it was the banks decision. I stated I had always paid my bills on time, never late, why am I being penalized? She stated it was because I did not charge enough to make the 700 quota. I asked why I was not informed. She stated a letter should have been mailed. I never received a letter. I was embarrassed at the store today...

    This company needs to be investigated.

    Barclaycard — service

    i tried to reg for online barclaycard services, the site locked me out. o.k maybe i did something wrong, i dont think so, so i had to call their call center, nightmare. they reset my login details which allowed me into my account once, then youve guessed it locked me out again. i just about managed to make a payment off my barclay card bill. please do not use this company they used to be just like any other card, but they have slid off the scale now, bye bye barclaycard.
    all i wanted to do was pay them... thinking if they put a lot of barriers to stop you making payments then they can hit you with late payment charges.. now i get it.
    At Barclays Shared Services they say it is wholly owned subsidiary of Barclays Bank PLC but I have my doubts, as there are only a couple of guys in the board of directors. Furthermore their offices are outside India, far away from BSS operations, and they visit occasionally to meet the managers at site.

    At BSS they feel proud of growing numbers (employee headcount) however they never bother for employee welfare and retention. Leaving the the group at the top who are known to each other from previous organisations the actual workforce keeps on changing.

    It is good to have people from your previous organisations as it creates greater synergy for accomplishing organisational goals. However just adding people to the organisation and putting them in roles to which they did not have any experience, cannot be in the interest of the organisation. There are examples of people who did not have any prior experience of a function heading the same function at BSS. To stand apart in the industry and to add value to the organisation each function must be treated as a specialized function and people on governing roles must be appointed basis their: merit, experience and qualification. BSS has good number of eloquent speakers who are good at giving directions but there are very few hands-on personnel; this strikes a chord with the phrase, ‘the taste of pudding is in eating’. They may have good managers but there are no leaders in them.

    I have witnessed individuals who contributed when BSS was in the nascent stage; these so called foundation stones of BSS were disgraced and forced to move out. There is a well established fact that the actual strength of a tree lies in its roots and not the new branches at top. If the roots do not grow strong there are chances that the tree may fall some day.

    The whole of the world is witnessing recession and the affect is visible in BSS as well; one of the supervisor who work at a lower level has been asked to push his direct reports to the corner, and create reasons get rid of people from his team. The team which is being reffered to was expanded few months back.

    There is an irrational HR policy for compensation and benefits, people who had acquaintances were offered >200% on their last drawn package. Now they realized it is recession time and have come up with a standard approach but I think that’s too late. There are discrepancy in salaries at same level they did a benchmarking which made rich richer and others did not experience any change. It is utterly ridiculous to hire individuals with different experience levels and qualification and put them on same level/role, also a variation of >80% in their compensation. This is a clear example of HR functioning on ‘whims and fancies’ of certain individuals and not having a standard approach. There is no mediclaim policy for dependents of employees at lower levels. Only B6 and some of the chosen B5 are allow parking their vehicle in the authorized parking, it is like telling the employees that if you are not among the chosen few you are not authorized to come to office in your own vehicle.

    I reckon my decision of joining BSS as, the worst decision I have taken in my career. the brand Barclays does not hold the same respect in my mind as before joining BSS. And it is not only I who thinks like that, checkout with people across BPO industry and you will know about it. I can sense the mood of colleagues also, some of them cannot leave BSS as they are overpriced and nobody will accept them with their current tag.
    I agreed with the metioned herewith. also would like to add that,
    at BSS Operation is pathetic. it only facilitates to top Management and there is no regard for an User or Associate at all.
    the brand (barclays) has no ethics in terms of an Organisation.
    it looks like completely owned by some of the guys holding top positions.
    Iworked with barclays for 2 yrs and i[censored] ask me about employee satisfaction then i will reply 0% in my complete tenute with barclays sorry "BSS" i never seen any HR taking feedback from advisors regarding empoyee satisfaction and if they ask to fill any survey they u r forced to fill in all positive points because that survey is goes against team manager so you cant say any tind against him because its not his fault taht whats happening in the BSS not BARCLAYS PLC LTD.

    Dear Sir,

    I joined Barclays Shared Services in sep 2008 last year as a Process Advisor. I had given lot of profit to the company was always good with my numbers, few months ago my team was changed and problem started thereafter, i am preparing for goverment services and i told this to my line manager and my team leader they put me in a wrong situation and fired me, i didnt hav any discussion with hr, they havent told me any thing.
    The company had issued me an ultimatum letter on 10 januarary 2010. But the comapny terminated me on 10th Jan 2010 without giving me a single day notice.
    Meanwhile the company had not paid me any thing.

    Is there any way to file a legal compalin again this company.
    I would lik to tell others as well this is one of the worst company in India, this is a BPO and located in Noida, this company doesnt have any feeling for there employees, and not even any respect for them. a worst company ever i worked with.

    the company says they are customer centric but they are only sales centric, no customer service only sales call service, a blood sucking parasite who is growing on the blood of their own bloody advisors... so called process experts. some of the strange policies includes apologizing to an abusive customer, apologizing for the business being outsourced, people not getting leaves while they are sick as they are not able to meet number of req people, no policies for employee retention or control; attrition, forced overtime to meet so called business requirement, pathetic transport and hr. think twice before you join, don't believe any of the consultancies.
    The day I joined BSS was the worst day of my life.
    I joined BSS in the year 2008 and I am putting my papers in another few weeks of time from now. I really regret my decision of having joined BARCLAYS BANK PLC the so called gloried mission of PAUL RILEY here in India.

    These guys have special task force of known & most cunning men around them specially hired for terminating, hiring stressed out job seekers, anybody who is willing to work hard for a compensation that is promised with lots of butter of incentives, and jam of “No Overtime” fake-promises.

    Having worked under several managers in BSS I still am a process advisor in 2 years while many of mine colleagues have moved up the ladder. Well you can call it these guys had a gel in their lick.

    From early 2008, 2009 & now 2010 all years I was 9A’s & 14B’s ………until 2010 when my stats fell a whopping D’s month varying with great inequality.
    My annual appraisal for 2010 which is due in 1011 is big time screwed up well in advance thanks to my Team Manager. It’s the only reason that I am putting in my papers in very soon as I am now a Team Manager in another BPO. It’s like a burden coming off your chest. It wasn’t a good show at Barclays for me. Atleast me!!!

    If you guys are joining OR planning to join “Barclays Shared Services” anytime soon defer it, and move on to Brand Names like Aegis, TCS, INFY, IBM, CONVERGYS.

    There are no sick leaves. There is special instruction to Team Managers from Operations Managers to create reports against who take Unapproved Leaves which happens.
    There are these funny girls who have special abilities (hanging around managers, and I am serious) they get leaves making so cute faces & managers are funnily so unaware, intelligently dumb that they without much of an issue they give away as many leaves.

    There is no future planning for anyone working at B2. The Process Advisors are known as B2. The IJP’s are all planned internally. Those eligible apply. Now there was this IJP which came in December’2008, February, 2008, September’2009, December, 2009 & February, 2010. All applied. I as well as my colleagues & other friends. But my friends, girls were all tears hearing results, and guys were dumb struck.
    Everybody was just one down the passing mark. I knew it. Being an All A’s grade year long how could I not pass the IJP. There were people who were 6-7 points down the passing benchmark virtually as we knew they seldom reached the monthly targets.

    They gave the test, & they walked through the test & were shown the bench next to the Team Manager. The glorified new Process Experts.



    Transport is a big problem in BSS.


    Believe it or not, you get picked up 1 hour early & dropped 1 hour late. Its worse in normal days as well. Those girls living in NCR get a guard & a driver and can you imagine a girl being alone with them with 1 hour late drop. Who will guarantee their safety. They don’t have qualified people who can handle the transport. Late pickups are a daily routine & cabs are “Maruti Suzuki ECCO” with 6 people jampacked one guard and AC’s are not working even in the night.

    They refer on prefer a refer scheme but it is valid only for higher level. Of the 10’s of guys my friends & I suggested with 3 yrs + exp only countable numbers on fingers were shortlisted. The money pending on prefer a refer was pending for more than 3 months for a couple of guys. And the HR manager, the so called poison ivy is always happily married to her files in her left hand a hanging from one manager to another all day. Mind you, should you speak anything inappropriate about any manager, she’s big mouth enough to immediately get it unloaded all on his desk for that cute “thank you”.

    …. THIS ONE COMES STRAIGHT FROM THE OPERATION MANAGER…...
    I complained & raised my voice against my Team Manager to the Operations Manager.
    And you know guys what did this guy had to say. “Your Manager must be right, You guys always have some problem”

    My sales stats sheet is big time screwed up. My own counting tells a diff story but when the company is not wanting to give you incentives then there is always a different reason & there is a way of taking the data off the sheets, considering the fact it is not a stats sheet locked onshore but it is made here, highly doctored & sent across to the dumb fellows back in UK.

    There is this stupid SKIP meeting with the OPERATIONS MANAGER we have to attend & pretend everything is fine with the Team Manager. There is special effort by the Team Manager to procrastinate any complaint or action to be taken about a certain process betterment of for the better productivity. Should you have to say anything against your Team Manager, It is an implied warning that is written on his forehead that “Your Team Manager knows about it”

    It all gets leaked up, & these guys show up as if they are our friends & wouldn’t tell anything to the Managers. An A4 size paper is given to everybody to write anything about the respective Team Managers, Process Experts, Other Team Fellows, so that there is a conclusive proof (though there is no name written on it, still it is a documented proof in our writing).

    We guys are promoted to say anything that is fishy, [censored]y or against each other so that there is no unity & we guys constantly fight against each other. This is a planned thing done by the Team Managers & Ops Managers.

    ……….Now comes the biggest issue in Barclays ………….The Transport Issue……….
    If you are in Barclays & you say what is Transport Issue, then either you’re the manager’s crack or you are trying with a diplomatic level in your response.

    There was one day when I was supposedly to be picked up & the cab driver didn’t pick me up but reported wrong address. Howsoever, I complained to my manager & had to board a private commercial vehicle for about 200 bucks to report at work 4 hours late.
    Guess what, the next day manager was so courteous to have hand me a WARNING LETTER from HR manager.

    These HR people are very smart. They cunningly seduce you to join BSS wonderfully convincing you guys that you are joining a Bank Captive Unit. Little do those guys know that it is a “BPO” It’s a true lie packed with a glamorous HR TEAM of girls who pretend there is nothing wrong with the organization.


    There are fake promises of being best paymasters. You have to do compulsory OT sometimes & if you try to act tired, I guess it is the right time to pull your socks and hear a disciplinary music that “when required you have to do an OT”

    Just to show onshore guys in UK they show that we have guys working on Saturday as well. So my friends in other processes tell that they have WEEKEND WORKING concept.
    If you take a leave off in weekday then you have to come on weekend as well.

    There are no sick leaves. Seldom do you get one. Else Team Manager’s stats get messed up that their team is ahead in taking S.L.’s

    If you are a girl, chances of getting more than 5 days of leaves a month are a guarantee for you provided you can be an entertainer. I knew this girl from another process I guess a surd, very sweet one. She was quite straight one. And she told me while we came together that she worked liked anything still her manager did little on her sick leave issues.

    There is a common signoff often in the company saying that you are abiding by company policies a compulsory sign off, & little do the BARCLAYS BANK PLC in UK knows anything about the hire and fire policy, BSS obliges with.

    They hire like anything, & fire without giving any notice. Complete blow off on the face of Mayawati, as per the guidelines o[censored].P.
    There is no compensation on termination considering no notice has been served. There is a bundle of pending balance of paid leaves & OT’s that is misused at the time of termination. The Medi-Claim policy is a big joke for people at the lower level. So if you have someone like a child who is studying, first of all you should be in BSS but still you cannot claim anything of the sorts.


    There is a strong circle of highly cunning, malicious people including the top brass, & there is ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN DOOR POLICY.
    Having worked in CONVERGYS for a longggggggggg time, I could always feel proud of having worked there. I always felt on the top of world of being with Vertex about 6 years back. And I wanted to grow in BSS. But I am mentally so sick with the HR Policies, with the so called BSS-India Chief Paul Riley’s ignorance that when this guy shows up our managers specially tell us to keep smiling faces. You must see the those in the sickrooms. There is a special effort made to make people take Combiflam or Paracetamol and somehow show up at the office.
    Can you guys believe it Combiflam is declared banned substance outside India for its harmful side effects & it’s a complete disgrace that you cannot take immediate sick leaves and must report to office. You will always get one there.

    There is sometimes no nurse; there is always shortage of medicines & a complete waste of BSS money. There are no tissue papers in the washrooms, the samosas are always stale & there is this mysterious false fire alarm sounding every third with a voice “we apologize this was a false alarm”. Eventually those on call lose their concentration some people from other process raise their voices so much & their Team Managers are equally loud with little work etiquettes.

    BSS is no money all big show. I worked like an *** year long but my incentive sheets has more Casual Leaves and little of incentives because it’s a PLANNED LEAVE OR PAID LEAVE OR SICK LEAVE beforehand but afterwards it becomes UNAPPROVED.

    THERE IS A DELIBERATE MANHANDLING OF THE STATISTICS SHEETS BY THE OPERATIONS MANAGERS & TEAM MANAGERS INSIDE CLOSED DOORS. THE IJP SHEETS THEIR ANSWERS, PRODUCTIVITY CHARTS, ARE ALL TOO MUCH DOCTORED WITH.

    There are managers who don’t have any work show up for 6 hours mark their 8 hours presence and leave early too often sometimes 5-6 times a month.

    Then, often there are these Fish Trainings, MS Excel Trainings, White Belt, Green Belt, Blue Belt, Black Belt Certifications. It is all a gimmick to let you know that you are going up. In actually you are just changing the colors of your neck band.

    Those who know the rules of the game well BSS is a challenge for you. There is no solution for this riddle but as my bro said above BSS SUCKS…………YOU READING THIS THERE YOU GUYS I KNOW.

    You know this forum has attracted the attention of mightiest, wrong, bad men of BSS and so we have been getting regular updates on not to put anything in writing anyways outside. The shining way to bring up the glory of the company outside is this forum though which I have decided to raise my voice with other fellow brothers of mine.
    Hi guys.. People who have not worked for BSS may be thinking that all of what is written on this site may not be true...But I would like to tell those people that every word mentioned on this page is true to the fullest. I am not scared to say that the 8 months that i worked for "Barclays Shared Services (i hate to take their name as well)..were the worst months of my life. I had just passed out from college and BSS came campus hiring to delhi university..We being freshers went for the brand name and were told that it is a normal back office job when it was totally and only calling and we lanaded up doing customer service..OH BTW the customer service part is of least importance there, it is just SALES SALES AND SALES..They call it upselling...HAHAHAHA...WHat A Joke...Having sales target that made me go into depression was the last thing that i could let have happened in my life...

    My Manager was the worst person I have met till now..She was only ineterested in becoming the Number one manager with the best sales figures on the floor..She Had joined BSS at a level lower than Team Manager and I think because of her B***y attitude she became a manager. She used to pester us for targets and insult us infront of everyone.

    She even managed to convert our half day working into full day working and make us work thinking that she will punish us. But nothing worked and she got kicked on her A** which was comfirting to us.

    I had nightmares about her and the targets...She was horrible.

    In the end I would like to add please don't join BSS if you want to have peace of mind...
    this company SU*** man. Not at all employee centric..Even managers cant help it as they themselves are getting torched...This company sucks. Team managers whose team does not perform for the entire year gets promoted as Ops manager.I know you guys must be thinking its a joke no its not.This is what BSS is.If you keep licking the A*** OF TOP MANAGEMENT THERE YOU GO...I hope you guys understand.Advisors are treated worst than animals.its simply HELL to join.The Business Hr tries to act so good with the advisors however they are nothing but cheaters and paid servants of Top Management.All my friends complain about the Exit Interview taken by the HR. HONESTLY HR DEPARTMENT OF BARCLAYS SU****S. OOPS how did i forget to mention one very important thing HR who are not even qualified MBA"s are promoted at high level however others in HR who just work and are qualified MBA report to these fools...who have no knowledge of HR but they know how to lick A**S OF TOP MANAGEMENT...
    Well there is a wealth of knowledge here and i must say the reader would be highly enlightened with such delusional crap.I have no intention of buying anything that has been written above or blow the trumpet of the company.The perspective regarding a particular company differs from person to person.This expereince can be good and can be really pathetic, so in all circumstances depends on what you have come across.

    I have been working with BSS since 26/05/2008 (Wave 1 CT) unlike most of the people above.

    And to all my dear friends have you ever thought that why would a company get hungry one fine day, wake up and start hiring people (tired frustrated job seekers) and then fire them after investing lakhs of rupees on them.Ironical .

    Please don't take this personally I'm just abuising the company n not u (isnt this what the account holders of BARCLAYS also say...hahaha...how ironical)..Anyway,

    The only reason why I can see that you think of BSS so highly could be because many have come and many have gone...but after lots of torture n humiliation you have been job posted to something other than calling in CT...It is a fact that the Company needs us as much as we need the Company...So it is not about investing lakhs on a person...It is about something called ETHICS...which the company lacks big time.

    What will you say to a person who has been hired by telling lies. Or about someone who is absolutely sick, cant get up from bed...but your mamager tells you to come to office..if he/she( the manager) thinks that you are unwell..they will send you back home...RIDICULOUS...and all this because there are 50 people leaving the CT floor every month.they need people to cover the headcount..the only thing permanent in BSS is ATTRITION and TORTURE.

    Opinions do differ but surprisingly 99% people who have worked/ are working in BSS have the same opinion..IT IS A BLOOD SUCKING PARASITE...

    If someone can take humiliation n depression to get promoted after a year or two in this company...my advise is you are most welcome to join BSS.

    Having been associated with BSS for more than a year, I would agree with everything written negative about BSS here. Consider not joining BSS if you cannot do any of the below

    1. I always say "yes boss" to my line manager and his/her superior.
    2. I enjoy having a feeling that I could be fired anytime.
    3. I work on INDIAN NATIONAL HOLIDAYS also(Republic day, Independence day, Diwali and even Election day)
    4. I am happy to work on odd timings and whenever my manager wants me to.
    5. I don't care about my appraisal and bonus.
    6. You don't want your travel bill to be reimbursed(yes, enjoy your trip to UK at your cost)
    Yeah, I too think Barclays suck. The incentives have been reduced and even the goals have now increased. The HR policy is rubish. Even i[censored] r ready to pay the basic salary for one month when u resign still they are forcing to serve the notice period. Its just a sales process and i[censored] dont perform sales u r thrown out of the company. I cant comment on other process in BSS, maybe they r good but not in the one in which i worked. Loads of pressure and then if for one day i[censored] dont meet ur goal, u get to hear loads of taunting comment from the manager. Its really not worth working in such a process.

    All the issues mentioned above are common to BPO work environment and mindset of our society in general -- selfish. There will only be subtle differences between a company XYZ with ABC. How many of you guys have been exposed to work environments in countries like UK, Germany etc.? I have been. I have briefly worked in many banks in UK and there was hardly any difference between various companies. It's not the company that makes you feel worse; it's the attitude of the society from where your boss and you come. How many of you guys can hold your heart and honestly say that you won't do any of the "sins" that you find your boss doing today? How many of you (great critics) can honestly say that if you were team/ops manager, you won't be partial to "entertaining" girls when it comes to giving leaves??

    When we don't like something, we exaggerate it so much, above comments are a perfect example of that. We Indians when we fight with our neighbour, we hate even his dog whom we loved until previous hour. No wonder if you didn't like your boss or the work, you will even spit venom about the samosas that you get in the canteen.. hilarious. Grow up guys!

    I do sympathize with the genuine cases of harrassment but those experiences are a reflection of the stinking gutter mindset that our society has. When a powerful entity attacks us for small gains, we mourn. We cry like above comments. However, tomorrow when we ourselves become that powerful, we don't think a second before taking out someone weaker's peace for a bloody small gain. The cycle will continue.     Hi i've attended interview in chennai and completed all my formalities, submitted my documents two months before. Still they yet to call and confirm me about my offer. And i've been unemployed for the past 2 months in believing the offer and refused offers from many major company. I'm very depressed whether they will offer me or not.     Hi i had given an interview last month in the noida branch and the HR lady was a arrogant b***h (dont remember her name). I dont understand who hires these demented ppl they dont even know how to speak with candidates who are yet not on the company's payroll. I am curious how they treat the employees.

    Having read everything above. I would say its more than 100% true about Barclays. People in the top management have no consideration for the work force. There was a time that the English made Indians their slave but even they had some humanitarian ground but these Barclays top official (Indians)they are such big in humans they hardly care if you die or live but come to work. Now the Indians have made other Indians their slave just to bring up their points up in the eyes of the onshore management that we are ready to work at any cost.
    Its a free advice that if you do not want to make you life HELL for working for a few extra thousand rupees in your salary as compared to other companies around, PLEASE DO NOT JOIN BARCLAYS !! The salary will attract you if you are experienced, although I think they are not even paying good anymore.

    I have worked in Barclays in June' 08 (CT-2nd Wave), initially the company was good and I was told that you will have to just service calls. But to my utter surprise, it was all SALES, SALES and SALES. I left hopelessly in the month of December'08.

    Then I re-joined Barclays in d month of March' 12 as a part of OLB team. Man, that was my biggest mistake to re-join. I saw all of my friends from CT have become Managers and Trainers (Barclays is expert in doing that, it doesn't matter whether a role fits the individual or not). I cleared my Linguistics training and moved to Process, then started the real nightmare. The [censored] Process Trainer deliberately failed me and one of my friends because he had some differences with us. We raised our voice against him and spoke to the HR, we were asked to meet an AM (HR), who recorded our statements like the cops do and vanished. Then, we were told to meet (Dhruv Rakha) from HR, who was not able to speak a single line in English. We were asked to give the complaint in black and white.

    After we did that, we were told action will be taken, but that a****** is still working with BSS.

    Kudos to the HR and that [censored] Trainer. Totally hopeless system, :(

    I have worked at this joke of a company for nearly 2 years now. It is unfortunate to say this but what people say about BSS above is absolutely true.I have worked in UK environment before and this place is simply a joke.The attitude of the managers and Ops staff managers simply makes me laugh.They have no idea of even the process we work in, The attitude is we are the non-callers and we tell the callers what to do .This isnt management its a joke.The only thing the ops managers know how to do is to talk random rubbish to the frontline on mails like "This is unacceptable", "please take business seriously" without even an idea of what goes on in the process.
    The transport here is a joke, And I do not use it, thank god. They act as if they are doing a favor by letting us work under a brand Barclays.
    And also pass subtle threats if anyone speaks up against the process or faults in the process.
    The ops manager seems like goon in a suit to me to be honest.
    If you want to work here, Be prepared to be treated like a slave and not even paid properly .
    Overtime is supposed to be voluntary.They ask you to do overtime here and forget to pay you conveniently
    Compensatory offs are given in place of a national holidays but try to take a comp off here you will not be able to .
    Everything here works as a show .
    They teach about integrity and values in the trainings and follow noe of it themselves here.
    If you are looking for a job and get one here. Please find another one and chuck the offer letter in the bin.Its simply not worth it .

      Dear Sir,

      This is to inform you that I Kushal Madhogaria is holding a credit card from Batrclays bank with no. [protected]. I am nor receiving my E statement from last 3 months. With the repeated request from last 3 month over the phone to your customer care still I have not received if. Every time they say we are taking a request and it would be delivered to my mail account in the next 4 working days, but till date I haven’t received it yet. Lastly I thought that there could be a problem with my email account so I changed my email id also through your customer care. But the story remained the same. Again today in the morning I called up your customer care and again they said that the e statement had been delivered to my new mail id on 23rd of nov at around 4.52p, but still when checked my mail account I did not received. Then when I asked them the reason why I am not getting the statement then they again gave me the request no i.e CAS 2748498.

      Now this is becoming a big problem for me as I need to submit it to my office for some official purpose. This type of services makes the individual credit card holders not to clear outstanding as we also need to claim the amount by showing the statement of our credit card from our company.

      Therefore I request you to send me the e statement at the earliest. My new mail id which is updated in your account is [protected]@gmail.com

      barclay credit card -visa — Billing statement not yet come

      I am R.Rathinakumar. Just months back only i got that card and made purchase air ticket in indigo for amount Rs.5325.But still (7th Augest 2008) i didn't get the billing statement. i got a message to my mobile only.

      Credit Card — e statement not received

      I have been using the credit card no[protected] and i used to receive the the monthly statement in III or IV week of every month with due date payment either 6th or 7th of the next month.Since December 2007 SBICards started sending only the estatement to my EMail I.D.In addition to this a card holder can view his account summary in their website by logging on using the password etc.Accordingly i was viewing my account summary in their web site till June2008.But SBICPSL did not send even the estatment and I reminded and got it.But the statement dt 17-8-08 was not sent to me and when I tried so log on their website I got a message that my user's I.D.and password got blocked and i was advised to register afresh .Accordingly I tried atleast 150 times but i was getting only error message, I intimated the SBICPSL through their helpline at toll free no that too atleast 100 times but they were promising to send it within 48 hours.They made it a mockery by promising me to send the statement within 48 hours and they maintained it whenever I called them over phone.As the dead line was nearing I sent a letter by speedpost on 22-8-08 and faxed a letter on for which I have spent a sizable amount. I made repeated calls to thm but in vain. The statements are authenticated documents basing on which a card holder has to make the payment after satisfying himself of the correctness of the amounts shown therein but SBICPSL sent it only on 6th Sptember08 viz on the due date.the card holder requires couple of days to make the payment however the same is small and again SBICards have not send the statement dt 17-9-08 till date in spite their promise that the statemtn would reach me by 21st of every month hereafter.In this context I wish to mention that SBICPSL once sent me a letter threatening of legal action if the payment is not made by due date.This created much anxiety in me and my health deteriorated miserably.I have developed some cardiac probelms also and this may neccessitate to undergo treatment at a very high cost. SBICards should therefore pay me a compensation of Rs100000 immediately.
      i can no recieve my statement still now from when i taken my card. there is no message also. so improve your service.
      This is the most dettering part of the group, which absonds with out any feeling of guilt for not providing the statements to the customers who have been using the card.

      I have been using the card since 8 months but till date i have not ever received a single statement. Previously we used to get the messages on mobile with amount displayed but off late they have started new trend buy just sending the details of the courier and not the amount due .

      This is highly ridiculous, i think its better to stop using the card.

      This month my billing date is 07/10/2008 but i dont know the amount i have to pay.

      i am recieving every month sms allerts that my statment as been desp by express it courier, but i never rec statmnet to my mailing adds.
      on 1 oct i had rec sms stating that my statment has been delived to my add awb no [protected] on 16/9/2008by express it, since last three months i am not rec statmnets



      i hope some action will be taken on this.

      Barclay Credit Card — Not Receiving Statement

      Its four month i am using Barclay CC, but i hadn’t received single statement. I make payment by seeing my personal account details and bills. As per Right of Information i should get my statement on time (monthly) so that i can pay the amount.

      Now they regularly call every day and ask me to clear the dues, still there is credit period is left. I don’t have any hesitant to make payments but I require my last four month statements.
      Also they had advertised that if i purchase tickets from Yatra.com using this card i will get 10% discount which is still due from there side.
      Now every day Customer Care people call me up and ask when i am going to make payments and by which mode and give my Bank details.
      I had made lots of Complaint to them for asking my Statement, but they always say they will mail my statements in 48 hrs, this is going since last three months.
      Now they had charged me for late payments. If they were regular in service i would have made the payments on time.
      Is it fine if I file a case in Consumer Court and ask for compensation for not providing Statements on time which is Right of Information to me?

      Barclays Credit Card — ACCOUNT STATEMENT NOT RECIEVED

      Dear Sir,

      I had made one purchase of 1000/- Rs at Pathania service station, Chandigarh on 22/10/2008. To my surprise i recieved first Barclays Account statement in January amounting 2500/ Rs, inquiring at Barclays cusomer care in January only about the transactions i aws surprised to know that 1500/ Rs are late payment charges and Barclays credit card is sending me regular Account statements to which i had never Recieved. Barclays credit card is claiming that the statements are send for the period of OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER. and the same are recieved by Vikram at my residence . NO BODY IN MY HOME IS VIKRAM. I had requested Barclays to send me Proof Of Delivery of satements recieved at my residence which they fail to provide even after regular followups. I had three complaint no's which are never sorted out. Complaint no's are CAS-872555, CAS-1186189, CAS[protected].

      Kindly look into the matter and reverse my late payment charges. I had made my genuine payment of 1030/- Rs.

        I had a personal loan relationship with Barclays bank PLC and i had recently fore-closed the loan account i had to take up a home loan. On account of that i had submitted all my documents to the bank as per the banking procedures on 27 Oct 09 atthe worli branch for which i have acknowledgements available. As per the procedures incase i submit the documents and the closure chq before 30th of the month, i will not bear the ECS for the EMI amount in the coming month. Even after following the procedure i still had to face the debit of the ECS on 5th Nov 09. On calling the bank, i was told that ECS clearance list is provided to the clearing agency 15 days prior which confirms that the procedure explained above is a failure. The Phone banker told me that i shall receive the closure documents along with the closure chq on or before 11th Nov 09. But to my disguise, i havent't still heard from the bank. This forced me to call the bank again on 21st Nov 09 (Today) to check on the status and to my surprise they banker cound not trace / figure out of the chq was even dispatched looking at the banking systems. on confirming several times, i was confirmed that the bank has not even processed the refund chq even after 21 days of closure of loan (Loan closed in systems on 31st Oct 09). For these many days the bank has sweetly eaten up my money and earned interest of the refundable amount. I would like the consumer forum to take action against the bank and compensate me for the problems / humiliations that i had to face..

        Barclays Bank — refund

        Hi
        As the interest rate was much higher than that was informed to me for personal loan, i decided to cancel the loan and returned back the cheque well in advance before the first emi date. It was assured by the bank manager that the emi would not be deducted from my account and the loan has been cancelled. But from my account the emi got deducted and it has become more than 100 days, still i have not got my money back. Whenever I contact the bank personnel, they just postpond the dates and no outcome has occured till now. I hope 100 days is more than enough for them to return the money. I have mailed to customer care division of barclays bank and no one has contacted me till now.

        I am Anselm.A.Thomas of New delhi India i was a good customer with barclays and then one day i lost my card somewhere in gurgaon and i realised it the next day.I immediately called their stupid number and after a long time it got connected to their call centre i told everything to them and also informed that block then they told me that someone had already taken 11000 from the card and i told them i will not pay that amount at all.They said their fraud department will get in touch with me but nobody bothered to call me.So i decided not to call them and will also not pay them my rest of the outstanding which was 18000.And then after 1 month i got a call from barclays to pay the minimum due amount i insisted to pay them and they told me to pay.So i request you to help me in this case and kindly adhere my situation

        Barclay Bank — Complaints against loan procedure.

        Hello. I have a complaint against Barclay bank loan department. They give me calls on a frequent basis asking me about some one Mr Venkatesh who has taken loan from the bank and is not paying back. I receive all this calls at my BSNL Home landline number. ( and not a mobile number which anyone can discontinue and the same number can be reissued to some one else.) I fail to understand how this bank can issues loans without verifying details he is submitting. I hope my complaint will be heard by concern person and some productive actions will be taken to resolve this issue at the earliest. you can contact me for any further details..

          1) My Account Number : [protected]

          2) I had an credit card account with Barcklays Bank. They imposed un-necessarly 9000/- on me. When I enquired with them, they told that it is a mistake from their side. Finally they reverted that 9000/- after 1year when i had called them up about 50 times. But they didnot revereted the late payment fees, service charges and extra. I need to pay the last EMI of my transaction which is about 3300/- and I stopped the last EMI payment becasue they are not reverting the un-necessary late payment fees and other charges for 9000/-.
          3) They came for the final settlement and the points they promised are as below
          a) Pay 500/- as the initial payment and pay the rest of 3500/- after recieving the final settlelemt letter b) Will Send the soft copy of the final settlement letter in the first week of November and will send the hard copy to the customer within 15 days
          c) Once the payment is done, then Barckaly Bank will request the Ciebel to remove the name from the Ciebel.
          4) So, I paid 500/- [Date : 25/10/2009 ] as the initial payment to Barcklay Bank through Nischal Financial & Management Services [Reciept No : 1087709]
          5) KARTHIKEYAN [ Barcklay Chennai Collection Departement member] has done the settlement for 4000/-
          6) Till now I didnt recive the final settlement letter soft copy
          7) I tried about 15 days and called the collection department about 20 times to connect to him. But those people are saying he is in meeting, he is break, he is in lunch, he is currently out of office, he is not yet came to office,he left the company.
          8) Finally today i got the information that he left from the office.
          9) Kartkik from the same department is calling to me and telling that i need to pay about 21000.
          10) Sunil [Manager- Barcklay Bank, Bangalore] informed that they recived the final settlement letter from Mumbai, Head Office Barcklay and asking me to pay 4000/- as the final settlement. I informed to him that, I already paid 500/- as the initial payment and rest I need to pay is 3500/- only. He didnt agreed for it and finally I agreed to pay 4000/-. He also told that if I pay 4000/- to the Barcklay Bank for the final settlement, then my account will be closed. I asked him "is my name will be removed from Ciebel". Then he told that it wont be removed, the name will be removed from the Ciebel if I pay rest of 7000/-. Then I told him that, I wont pay the money because I lost the trust on ur Bank.
          11) Amount they imposed on me is 11000
          12) Amount I need to pay is 3300 only
          13) They are harassing me for the payment
          14) Nobody is giving the clear statements about the payment and I lost the trust on the Bank. They dont have proper database..Nobody knows the proper details
          15) Please help me out of these. I am fed up with Barckaly from last 2 years for final settlement.

            My Barclay Times Credit Card number is :[protected], which was settled by the Barclay Bank Kolkata authorised collection agency named E-Solve Solution Pvt Ltd. on 25.05.2009. The settlement was done by Mr Sanjib Paul-Barclay collection manager Kolkata(mobile no.[protected])and Miss Rashmi-Telecaller(mobile no.[protected]). The Full and Final Settlement amount was Rs.5000/-(Five Thousand only). The same day Mr Tamanuj Saha of the said agency came to me to collect the amount. He gave me the settlement letter, which is a computer print out on Barclay Bank Letter Head and a valid receipt copy. I signed the duplicate copy and gave that to Mr Saha. Presetly I have that original letter with me. After one month many phone calls from Gurgaon, Mumbai, New Delhi and other places came to me. They all told me that "Your accont of credit card has not yet being settled, you have to pay the outstanding amount". Then I talk to Mr Sanjib Paul who had done my settlement, he told me that he had left the job. Then I talk with the telecaller Miss Rashmi and present Collection Manager Mrs Sweta Roy (phn no.[protected]) repeatedly. But, both of them told me that they have nothing to do and at last they were avoidind me. I and my family members are being continously harrased by so many phone calls by Mr Ranjit Singh-customer service associate Barclay New Delhi (phn. no. [protected]), Mr Aditya Verma, Mr David (mob. no.[protected]). I requested and told every body the same thing repeatedly but they did not help me.After that Mr Aditya Verma provided me a letter number viz.MUM/PT/3497/964291, against my payment of Rs.700/- (seven hundred only), but that number appears to be a fictitious one and is of no use to me, although he had assured me that if I quote that number nobody will distub me or my family members. Today also two persons of the said bank came to my house and demanded Rs.17000/- from my family members as outstanding amount of my credit card.
            This sort of continuous harrasment from Barclay Bank has become quite unbearable for me and my family members and my old parents are not in a position to take the mental pressure any more, even after full and final settlement of all transactions with that bank.

              One days Barclays card Gurgaon office dt 25.09.2009 several call i.e your card is settle amount of 12000/- If you give our executive amount of 2620/- by Cheque you receive Settlement Letter within 4 Days. I am wait for Barclays Settlment Letter 20 Days But not receive any Letter from Barclays . Then I stop the cheque payment amount 2620/-

                  I have credit card of Barclays Bank the details are as followed.

                  My Complaint: -

                  From past 3 months I have been receiving statements(Every Month) & SMS (Minimum 10 Everyday) stating that I have some outstanding balance with them. It all started with Rs. 230 now it has gone up to Rs. 1700, i don't know what calculations do they do.

                  To make it more ridiculous the CUSTOMER CARE NOS: - GIVEN BY THEM that are: -
                  [protected] & [protected] both of them are not working from past 2 months now.

                  Dont know how to contact them & discuss this issue. I wrote a mail to them & to call me they have asked for 7days time. When they don't forget to send us the automated SMS daily without any fault why cant they make a call.

                  Is this not a failure in terms of service & failure of 1 day in making the payment Costs us Rs. 500 + Taxes on the total amount, on which account should this delay from their end be calculated thats my main worry.

                  If anyone have got an answer to this please do inform me, as I would be more then obliged in knowing & understanding a simple notion which we have learned & have been using from several decades now i.e. CUSTOMER IS GOD.

                  If CUSTOMER IS GOD then why these kind of things needs to be done to the GOD. Is there any Rules & Regulations for the Bank or is it just the CUSTOMER who needs to suffer whether its his own fault or its the fault of the BANK {(in this case BARCLAY'S (Official Sponsors of BPL)}

                  If there is someone from BARCLAY'S READING TO THIS, YOU HOTLIST MY ACCOUNT OR PUT IT ON CIBIL DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I REALLY DONT CARE NOW. NEITHER AM I GOING TO MAKE THIS PAYMENT WHICH DOES NOT BELONG TO ME.

                      Hi,
                      I have used Barclays credit card in Dec2008 for Rs. 300. But unfortunately failed to make payment on time and forgot. Didn't receive any statement from them informing about the outstanding amount till May 2009. The statement that is received in May says that 3000 and odd is outstanding. Called up the customer care and launched a request to reverse the charges as we haven't received any statement but the request was rejected, but still mad a payment of Rs.500 in May. But since then i keep getting sms and statements which keeps on increasing the charges. When i called(customer care) them in October Ist week and informed the same, they launched a complaint and the charges were reversed only till May 2009 saying that after May they sent us the statement and so charges cannot be reversed. But when i made a call in May they didn't took this measure. Request you kindly take action on them.

                        Dear Sir,

                        I am holding Barclay credit card since last 3 years. But I am facing trouble from Barclay from last june. I had expense Rs.150 on apr2008. In spite of not received the statement of that month. I paid my outstanding amount before due date 01/06/09. After payment I received your duplicate statement (on my request before due date) at 10/06/09 through express courier service and later on 13/06/09 I had received late fee payment statement.
                        In above matter I had talked to customer care to revert my wrong late fee payment charges. At that time they replied me, after few days they will inform me for my request after awaited of one week or more I called back for previous call there after customer Executive answered me that revert was not possible. In between your second bill was generated. And I had received another late fee payment bill from your side. It was not legitimate from Barclay, When ever matter is pending from Barclay Customer care bill should be hold up from Barclay. This is immoral thing.
                        There after still today I am communicating with customer care about above wrong charges but still I have not receive appropriate answer from any authority of Barclay card

                        I have also another bank credit card and loans. I am regular payer of my all outstanding.

                        I have all your statements with courier stamp with date. I am still Awaiting for good and appropriate reply from Barclay Card.

                        Barclays Credit Card — Wrong charges

                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                        This is Shashi P Singh has been using Barclays Credit card from last year.In the month of April08 totel outstanding was Inr 7700 and due date was 16 Apr.I dropped cheaque dated 09 Apr to barclays designated drop box at South ext Part one New delhi 110049.In the meantime they called and i confirmed the amount and cheaque no.again they called on 17 Apr and forced to make payment cash as they did not receive cheaque.on 18 Apr 08 I made cash payment of Inr 7700 and send request to my bank to stop payment.on 22 May Barclays sent cheaque for clearence.and bounce back due to insufficient fund.Due to this they charged Bounce back fee inr 300 and 300 last payment fee.As I droped cheaque on 09 Apr this this Barclays responsibility to collect it nad send for clearenece ASAP.I called customer care many times.After that assured me that they will reverse these cahrges and reflect on next statment.I have checked my total outstanding and charges Inr 600 are still showing.

                        Most disgusting service and unnecessary charges put up by barclays card and droping cheque in time
                        I am, Sukhpreet Singh is using Barclays Credit card from April, 2008. My total outstanding was 3925/- and I have paid a cheque amounting to Rs. 3950/- within my time duration, but the cheque was debited from my account after 8 days and the bank has sent me a statement showing late charges of Rs. 500/- plus service tax. They have not given me a single call also, but sending me message When I have dropped this is banks's responsibility to collect it and send for clearenece ASAP. This is unbearable. and not at all appreciable on bank's part.

                        I am sorry to say that Barkclay bank making fool to there customer. Free offering told by Barkclay tale-caller to priority circle customer. That unjustified charges levied on me. After calling so many times reversal of that charges not done yet.

                        This is ranganathan from chennai. I got barclay card in 2007. i pay my dues continuesly. But still i got so many fees and charges. I didnt konw why barclays is charging like this. then i did not pay my bill . Collection agent came to my home and he said ll close my card. I also agreed for that. But that guy cheated my money. And that request for ssettlement got cancelled. I dont know what to do. Still am getting bills with many charges like over payment, etc.

                        Barclays card is very worst which i have ever seen. Please dont go for the bad card. They will cheat you very once you swipe frist time.

                        Barclay Credit Card — Wrong payment charges

                        I am not satisfied with Barclay credit card services at all as I have never used the credit card of this bank in any of my payment transactions.So,the bill charges of Rs.10308.90 is totally wrong and hence the same should not be charged to me.

                            This refers to the outstanding on the above mentioned credit card.
                            I had used this card long back for a meagre amount of Rs 800/- odd amount and also paid for it with late fine. After several calls for outstanding recovery I had decided to settle this card . I spoke to one of the recovery agent from BSA Infomedia Pvt Ltd and on mutual agreement decided to make settlement of the same card by paying Rs 1000/-.
                            The Agent (Sushil) visited my office and accepted Rs 1000/- in cash as the settlement and handed over the settlement letter (MUM/BCGOLD/19842 dated 21.04.09) to me.
                            Even though this payment was made I have been receiving calls from recovery agents asking for outstanding payment. I have furnished all the details several times to “N” number of agents but in vain.
                            Recently I have also spoken to some Dinesh ([protected]) and have emailed all the details on [protected]@sparshindia.com and sachin.[protected]@barclays.com , but have not received any response from their end.
                            I have also sent a Registered A/D letter to Ms Poonam Sharma-Manager –Credit Cards, New Delhi on 14th Sep 2009.

                              I have taken a personal loan from Barclays Finance(Rajouri Garden) my loan account no LC[protected]. I had foreclose this loan on 7th sept 2009. it was told to me by Ms Sapna & Mr Aurovil that my Insurance amount & NOC will be provided to me after 15 days. I am still following up the same regularly giving calls to their branch and customer care but Ms Sapna & Mr Aurovil is not coming on the phone they are not giving me any kind of response.

                              Although at the time of taking loan Mr aurovil is giving wrong information to the customers.

                              Kindly Look in to the matter.

                              Barclays Finance — Non approval of loan

                              Dear Sir,

                              I had approached for a loan of Rs 4.74 lacs through Apna loan . Apna loan submitted my enquiry to Barclay's finance . After 2 weeks Barclays (Chembur Br) approached me saying that a loan of Rs 2.00 lacs was sactioned by them. I hesistated to accept their proposal since it was not fulfilling even half of my requests. Since there was no response from me, they continiously started calling me on my cell phone and office number and finally made me accept the proposal. I agreed to accept the loan of Rs 2.00lac(EMI 6632/-p.m) from barclays finance.

                              After my acceptance The person from Barclays Chembur branch came to my office with a detailed proposal wherein he mentioned that I need to pay a processing fee and service tax of 2% which was acceptable to me and since the loan was unsecured, They wanted me take an insurance from Max Newyork( tie up with barclays) with an annual premium of Rs 40000/-payable every year for a loan of Rs 2.00lacs.

                              After this I flatly rejected the proposal for the following reasons.
                              1) For a loan of Rs 2.00lac, If I take pay a premium of Rs40000/- as annual premium plus 8 to 9 thousand as processing fees adn service tax, then I was left with appox Rs 1.5 lac as loan amount for which I pay an EMI of 6632/- p.m.
                              2) For a one time loan of Rs 2.00 lacs I was asked to shell out Rs 40000/- every year as premium for 10 years.

                              I did not accept their proposal .After this Barclays again starting calling me continously on my cell and office number to negotiate on the insurance premium amount. Finally after a span of 2-3 days, they reduced the insurance premium from Rs40000/- to Rs 24000/- and came down to Rs 8000/- annaully. I finally agreed to accept the loan though I knew the Premium amount is high.

                              On 19th Mar 2009, Barclays Mr Rithesh from chembur came to my office alongwtih the agreements and took my signatures on the agreements and collected 7 cheques out of which one was of Rs 8000/- for insurance premium and the balance for security purpose. After collecting the necessary paper he checked with his office about the disbursement of loan cheque and informed me that the loan cheque will be handed over to me the next day.

                              I waited for next 3 days days without response, and finally on 23rd Mar 2009 i.e Monday, I receive a call from Barclays finance saying that my loan has not being approved.

                              I am totally disgusted and frustated with the treatment meted out to me by Barclays finance. After a very prolonged negotitation and after me signing the agreement papers, how can they disapprove the loan. If the loan was disapproved, then they could have informed me in the very beginning and saved a lot of time and energy of mine, since I would have approached some other source for loan. They have also taken seven cheques from me.

                              I would sincerely request you to kindly intervene in this matter as I feel immensely cheated and frustrated by Barclays bank chembur branch.

                              I am also sure this is not the sole case and there may be many cases about Barclays finance.

                              Barclays Finance — Unwanted promotional calls

                              Inspite of my registration of DND , still receiving calls from finance companies.
                              I am having Reliance CDMA phone [protected]. I have received more than two times call from Barcley finance even after telling them number is under registration of DND.

                              One person by the name PREM has threatened me, to pay immediately, settlement amount.
                              i am at Delhi, for My work. Then also me said i will go to your home.
                              My parents are very old. Lots of problem will happen. Pls help.

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

                                Pl find the details of my case as follows

                                Case History

                                Statement Date - 26th Jan 09
                                Amount - Rs. 512.38
                                Payment due date - 16th feb 09
                                Cheque deposited in drop box on 12th feb 09
                                - Cheque No. xxxx69 drawn on ICICI bank
                                Dated14th feb 09
                                Amount - Rs. 513

                                On 17th Feb, got a call from your executive called me and informed me that my cheque is bounced, reasons unlnown, probably lack of funds. I asked him to send the cheque to me immediately. He further informed me that I should pay immediately to avoid any further inconvenience. I agreed to pay in a day or 2.

                                On 19th evening I called up your call centre to check on the status of bounced cheque and the reason for the same. He was unaware. I confirmed the exact amount to be paid is Rs. 512. he confirmed. I further enquired if this does not imply any late payment charges or interest. But to my surprise he said that it would attract late payment charges as the payment was not received on time. (However the cheque bouce reason till then were unknown, sure there was no shortage of funds). I argued that the mistake is not mine neither this was done intentionally, but he kept arguing and was unable to reverese the late payment charges. Finally I informed him that I am settlinmg my payment with what ever is my purchase value and wish to close my card immediately, to which he still denied even closing my card. Stating the the card cant be close till the full amount is not paid. Hence I informed him that I am depositing a fresh cheque of Rs.513 immediately and I want my card to get discontinued. And hanged up.

                                On 21st Feb 09 I received letter from Barclays regarding the bounced cheque along with the cheque. The letter stated that " we regret to....................is invalid for the reason Mistake Not Signed." However the cheque had my initials at the place at which changes were done. Sadly this cheques was not even deposited in bank and was returned.
                                1) If cheque was supposed to be returned without depositing, why was I not informed immediately on 12th or 13th when you received the cheque.
                                2) When the cheque was dated 14th feb 09, why give me a call on 17th and asking to make freash payment.

                                Your letter also had secong para stating "Please arrange to send us a fresh cheque for the afforsaid amount in lieu of the above mentioned cheque within 10 days from the date of receipt of this letter." Which means I coulod give you fresh cheque by 2nd march(10 days from 21st Feb). Your letter also did not mention anything about late payment charges in such scenario.


                                In the subsequent atatement of 26th feb 09, there was no mention of the earlier payment and to my surprise thewe were late payment fees of Rs. 600/- (this was ridiculas to see Rs 600 LPF for the actual purchase was Rs. 513/-), it also had Interest and service Tax.

                                Hence I called up your call centre one more time to bring the facts to their notice. But unfortunately the guy was completely unable to understand the situation and he denied to reverse the LPF & Interest under any circumstances. (I found the guy to be helpless and dumb, as your call centre executives are not equipped to make the decisions nor was he ready to connect me to any of his seniors), So I informed him that I had already informed to the call centre to cancel my card and I will not be making any further payment on this. They kept arguing with me and he pointed to me that this call is getting recorder. This was my delite, and I asked him to escalate this call to his senior. And I restated that I will not pay up.

                                Next month March 09, I got yet another statement, which meant that the card was yet functional. Hoever it had a mention of payment done in Feb. The cheque deposited on 20th feb was getting reflected on 28th Feb clearance?????
                                But the statement also had Interest component and also mentioned Latepayment fees for earlier statement. I called your call centre again, this time the conversation was not different at all, same unability to understand and same baseless arguments. NO REASULT. Finally I told the lady to connect your settlement guys with me, where I can sit face to face and finish the matter. To which she denied saying the I need to pay in totality. And kept the phone. Conversation over.


                                Ever since then I must have received several sms asking for payments, and several call (at least 12 to 15) from your collection agents, in the initial time I used to respond to your SMS by calling on the number given or accept the phone call of your collection agents and narrate them the whole incident again and again. But nobody had any solution.

                                I am sick and tired of this repetition. And if this does stop immediately I might have to take some legal action against your bank or report to consumer forum.

                                If you consider my past histort of payment and being the Priority Circle card holder, I assumed thta I might be treated differently.

                                Request you to close this issue asap and send me the letter regarding the same.

                                Barclay Credit Card — late payment charges rs-600

                                my credit card min amt due was 2040 till dt 9/11/2008, i had dropped the ch of rs 2100/ on 8/11/2008 in drishti eye centre box on 8/11/2008, but still the bk charged me rs-600 as late payment fees in the december statement received, when contacted to customer care, he said he cant reverse the charge

                                Barclays Credit Card — late payment charges

                                I had a credit card from barclays bank no.[protected].
                                I have been used this card only one time to buy a Health policy provided at the time of issuethe card. The payment mode was in six installments Ihave paid all the installments in time but the bank applied the latepayment fee and it goes month by month high.I have wrote to the bank please close down my card and clear all dues but they ignore and when i contaceted customer care they threaten me.
                                Several time I contact customer care to come at my office and saw your statement otherwisw I can saw you my bank sttement every time they commited but had not came to me.
                                after seeing the same complaints Every one can understand that this is the fraud bank.

                                  I have checked up from SBI and its true that this swine Mr. Akash Kumar is heading this money looting business. Please for all those who read my mail, 'DO NOT BE DECEIVED'. This dubious gang cannot be spared. We need to take an oath that we shall nab these crooks soon. I was almost succumbing to the request of one so called British Diplomat to make a cash deposit into Mr. Akash' account. Now, take caution, this gang has its members from British origin and they deploy all tactics such as voice modulation, cell phone numbers that has no progeny, fake emails/ names, fake passports and the like. This guy in his British accent spoke to me absolutely confident and answered all my doubts and queries. All he was requesting me was to make a cash deposit of INR 35, 000 into Mr. Akash' SBI account to pay as Airport Clearance Charges at the airport. But I was a hard nut for him to crack. After a few calls, when I informed him that I have already arranged another Officer to meet him at the New Delhi International Airport and clear the consignment and to make him feel comfortable, he got worried. He was even more worried that he had disclosed his address and other details. Its God's grace that I just missed being duped by a whisker. The swine's details are as below. Please take note that money only changes hands. It just can't be generated adhoc.                                     I wanted to close a loan of Barclays Bank Plc, hence i requested them for the same on 25th September 2009 at 10.15 AM through a phone call. The person I speak with were Priti Rana / Anand Krishnan in Loan section. They said you cannot close the loan on upfront basis but you will have to raise closure request and after that we will send you a letter through courier within 10 days and after that you can close the loan by sending a cheque in favor of wait Barclays Bank Plc including interest upto that date.
                                    I said when I want to close the loan immediately then why should I pay interest for these 15 days. They said this is the policy of the bank.
                                    Also I raised a loan closure request immediately but still I have not received any letter till date.
                                    This is not correct from a customer perspective.

D.O B to email :[protected]@live.com . i also do like the same .On 3rd Oct another one cheat FRANK ROBERT contected me and said that he arrived at delhi airport for airport costom tax clearance also asked for some Handling Charges to be paid Rs. 36000/- i was shocked and i just understood this is a fraud case that is the reason i am informing here because it may be a terrorist act .
