Big basket automatically converts any unfinished order to cash on delivery. They will email about it but if you forget to check your email then they will send the product and will charge extra money for late cancellation. If your network fails at the time of checkout/payment and after few minutes when network is back and you are successfully paid for the order they will generate two orders for same products. One is paid and another is cash on delivery. They never call or alert you for duplicate orders. They will alert you when the delivery man is 10 minutes away from your home. The delivery man will call you and ask "sir, did you cancelled any order or i will cancel it behalf of you?" when you call customer care they will say it's their policy. Every time your transaction fails or you press back button to add some more items this will happen and as per customer care, you have to cross-check every time over the phone after placing your order. They will never alert you over the phone. This happened twice with me on bigbasket. Strange!!! I am an online shopping buff for many years, never faced this kind of problem with amazon, flipkart, snapdeal, jabong, myntra & etc. Etc. Was this information helpful? | |||||
