Good News...finally...

Dear members, I was also looted at M/s Bookshop of India through their usual practice (they collected advance payments and did not deliver the books). I tried countless time to contact them over phone as well as via
e-mails. Their phone was always switched-off and my emails remained unanswered.

However, when I submitted a complaint to Ministry of Consumer Affairs (http://consumeraffairs.nic.in, [protected]@gov.in). M/s Bookshop of India resurfaced instantly (within 04 hours), apologised for the delay and made refund offers.

I ordered the following book on 7th of February, 2017. Since I did not receive the book, I sent another mail on their provided email ID. Till date, neither have I received my book nor any mail regarding the status of it. My bank account got debited immediately but never received the book.

I had placed two orders (BOI67080 & BOI67081) at Bookshop of India & made 100% advance payment to them. They confirmed my order vide their email dated 11/01/2017 and conveyed that books will be delivered shortly.

However, I did not receive the books even after 20 days and then I started making enquiries. My e-mails remained unanswered & I tried on phone[protected], which was always found switched-off. Three months have passed & there is faint hope of getting the ordered books.

When, I scanned this forum (www.consumercomplaints.in), I observed that it is full of similar nature complaints against Bookshop of India. I realised that this Delhi based organisation is in the business of en-cashing the onlineshopping euphoria & I have made contribution of about Rs650/- into their net revenue receipts.

However, I would like to share another startling fact with senior members of this forum and new potential scapegoats of M/s Bookshop of India. Whereas, this forum space is overflowing with dubious & unethical business practices of M/s Bookshop, only one person (pseudo-name ‘Rajeev’, ‘Rajeevbh’ etc. at this forum) has been consistently admiring M/s Bookshop, without sharing his order details such as order no, date, content etc. It appears that he is indebted as well as brand ambassador of M/s Bookshop of India.

Please exercise your discretion & due diligence before getting swayed by feedback / opinions of such persons.

I have ordered books on Bookshop Of India worth Rs.4350/- on 8th Feb 2017. The order status is showing processing. Till the date they haven't given any confirmation of dispatch or status of delivery from them. I have mailed them twice about the order but there is not a single reply. Please help me to get my books or tell the accounting authorities to redeem my Rs.4350/- immediately that I have paid them keeping faith in them.

I placed an order online, on 06/01/17. As usual they never shipped out the order or never communicated (telephones shut & not responding to emails).
I had paid online through ccavenue using my debit card. I contacted ccavenue by telephone & within 5 working days they managed to get me a full refund.
Hence I suggest all the people who paid using debit card to credit card to contact there bank or payment intermediary & demand a full refund.

I have ordered book through bookshopofindia website on 05.12.2016 and my order ID is BOI66816. Average delivery schedule they have given is 4-5 working days. I have checked with website and it shows it has been shipped but no further input and i put several mails and calls. No response from their end. Mobile no is not valid. I want my amount to be refunded.This is so pathetic.

As this is very badly needed for forth coming exmamination of IPCC Nov 2016, amount paid fully using debit card, and as per their shipping policy, and delivery within 5-6days through registered post.

Unfortunately as of now, order is reflectiing in their website track your order, and shipping status showing blank. And when we sent mail to given mail id: [protected]@bookshopofindia.com, there is no response, and given telephone is just ringing, no reponse, Even website search, no proper customer care number.

I am afraid, this company appears to be fraud, and I feel pity on delhi based cheating company. So When we gone through the reviews, most of the reviews says it is fraud company.,

Hence I am making a complaint on this company's fraudulent activity, and get me justice. If company does not repond, pls get my money refunded immediately.

I have order a book vide oder no. BOI 61835 dated 18/9/15 and paid Rs. 435/-. Even after 03 months I have not received the book. They have not replied for my E-mail query also.

I ordered a book which mentioned its availability at the time or ordering ( transaction number: boi62307) on 17th October 2015. And post that after not receiving any acknowledgement of the purchase and the book after 10 days. I gave a call again to your contact number(which is in the site) and after numerous attempts, i came to know that book is not available and they will search if available they will send. After 1month I don't see any delivery of the book. Please cancel my order and revert my money.

I have ordered a book online through bookshopofindia.com, order No BOI 41583. The book was not delivered even after 15 days. I ordered it for my son who needed it urgently. In the website they are showing "in Process". No response to my e-mails to [protected]@booksofindia.com. No body picks calls to the phone number[protected]. Where should I complaint for this? The amount is not a matter, But I want to punish this seller for ruining my hope and for running fake website.
