I want to share my recent experience with 99acres, and it's far from positive. 😞

When posting ad in 99acres for renting an apartment, multiple fraudsters in the name of Indian army contacted for apartment saying ready for any amount. He said his name to be SHIV SHANKAR TIWARI and said need a house as he is transferred from Gujarat to Chennai.

Attached ID proof so that others can be vigilant.

Actually I have reviewed the 99acres site two weeks ago and they said reward will be provided but it has been more than a week and I didn't get any update from their side

I got multiple phone calls from personnel claiming to be army officers and willing to rent my property in Kolkata. One person, alias Avdhesh Kumar (WhatsApp number [protected]) and another person, alias Deepak Pawar (WhatsApp number [protected]) showed interest after seeing images of my apartment. Their modus operandi stays the same as I am seeing in this blog: agreeing to rent my apartment as per my rent quote, followed by request to add them...

A person by the name of Akshay Kumar Chennamaneni contacted me posing as a tenant for my flat. He claimed to be working in the Indian army. A family of 3 with wife and 1 kid.

He wanted to finalise the flat by just looking at the photos. He was pushing for my account number. He had a UP/Bihari accent but claimed that he's from vishakhapatnam.

Thanks to the awareness created online, I got to know that he's a fraud who loots money via your UPI number. Kindly look into this matter to prevent innocent people falling victim to this trap.

This was ready to take flat on any condition and pay any amount.. sent me hi pan, adhaar and canteen card immediately, glad I searched his image on google and found this thread.. I told him on the phone that I know about their wrongdoings and then they started asking who am I and how I know them.. Police should arrest these fraudsters

I had registered my flat for listing as rental and I got a call from Sunita Kumari ([protected]) asking for flat pics.

Next time she confirmed her interest and asked to move in.

When i asked for ID she gave me details of her husband claiming he is in Indian Army and name being Parimal Kumar.

However an internet search revealed that this ID is being used in fake transactions hence was saved.

Today in the morning some one called Avdhesh called saying he is from Army. getting transferred from Hyderabad to Bangalore. he is with the family and asked for the house photos. I shared the photos. Then he called and said that he wants to send the token amount of 30000 and asked me to add his number in paytm and transfer money. He said he is using ARMY SWIPING method. So this is how the payment happens. He asked me to pay 1 rupee and check whether I have recieved it in my account.
I saw that there was 1 rupee debit and 1 rupee credit to my account. As my balance was 3436, he could not process his amount of 29999 due my balance is less than 10000. Then he asked me to transfer 3499 just to check, it works or not. Then my amount got debited but I didn't receive any credit of 3499. Then, he gave his detais as this,

I paid 13K for there owner servicing product

Youw guys will be surprised that in 3 months not even a single person cam and visited my property

mean while in these 3 months I revived some 8-10 calls from there team giving me only updates and no progress.

They shared few leads with me but none of them converted to visit the property (there initial commitment was they will speak with the potential buyers and only who is willing to buy/visit the property will be shared. But due to desperation they started sharing some random leads, whom I had explain everything and follow up and still none visited as they were not serious buyers at all.

Now how can you 99acers team justify this?

would you believe that your there team was not capable of generating 1 single lead that resulted in a visit to the property.

I demanded a full refund for their false promise and deficiency in service. I guess incapability is in there genes as I revived a call post an email demanding a refund and was assured resolution but even after 45 days no one has got back to me.

I had listed my property in platinum service after paying Rs. 2006/-. They refused to provide the services. When asked to return the money, they didn't do that as well. Please help

I bought a package to look for a tenant in 99acres. They showed so irresponsible behaviour. They never gave accurate answers for any query n only beating around the bush. I paid 7.5k n they didn’t find a single tenant. My whole money was wasted. They showed no professionalism, accountability or responsibility. Pls don’t buy package. It’s a fraud company.
