I flew with AirIndia on the 15th sept 2023 from London Heathrow to Mangalore via Mumbai.
My outward journey flight (originally scheduled for 12:30pm) took off nearly 4hrs later and reached Mumbai just in time to be able to take the connection flight scheduled for Mangalore (scheduled departure 5:45am). I constantly checked with the international flight airhostess for the arrangement to fast track people with immediate connections. There was absolutely no plan but an empty assurance that the connection flights will wait or be delayed.
The airport ground staff instead of fast tracking people with connection, didn't even let me through the security and booked a flight that was another 7 hrs later and threatened that if the tickets were not accepted then I had to wait for another day. There was no compensation or the least lounge facilities offered to the tired passengers.
On the way back, my flight for the 30th of September from Mangalore at 7:55 am was moved to a later time (11:40am, arriving to Mumbai at 13:05) for a connection flight of 14:05 leaving to London. The whole leg of travel was rescheduled to the next day without much consent, which incurred me personal loss of a days wage, prebooked taxi from Heathrow to home.
The worst was, the toilets in the international airbus didn't even flush or were broken or backrest kept falling in the toilet, basically unusable.
Food was only paneer and again paneer without any taste. It was such an inedible meal. I have travelled economy class in BA, jet airways in the past, Virgin Atlantic and many more but never was treated like a pest before. The entertainment system were not working in the economy zone and I really want my money back for the whole journey. You have absolutely insincere ground staff and worser than 3rd degree treatment of the economy class passengers.

Senior Citizen Service Apathy

The complaint is in regard to my flight from CJB to BOM on 2nd Oct 2023, where my mother who is senior citizen, after landing in BOM i have requested the cabin crew for a wheelchair as she could not walk, which the cabin crew has obliged to provide the same for which he has requested the ground staff to assist with the service but found the ground staff was too busy with her mobile and unheard the request, thereafter the cabin crew requested the 2nd lady ground staff as I found the request for the service of wheelchair was apathy concern for the ground staff standing at the plane exit point, and I am very disappointed with the customer service being provided by the old airline flyer of yours especially to a senior citizen where the concern raised by them are unheard and this is not acceptable.

I have already registered my complaint with Airindia on 13/2/2023 which was given reference number 19290024. as no response was received i have also lodged it with Airsewa on 15/3/2023.
So all email communications are with both organisations, Airindia states that it will respond within 24 hrs but no resolution. Airsewa have not even acknowledged.

Lost & found damaged baggage
Dear Air India,
With regards to my lost bag (baggage tag ref:AI 813929), after chasing up multiple times the people at Heathrow Terminal-2, Air India officials at Delhi and at Bengaluru, I finally managed to receive my bag on the 14/09/2022 at around 23:15 hours whilst I as asleep. Please note I started from India on 31/08/2022 and it took Air India to get my lost bag to me almost 14 days literally!!
Although I’m completely frustrated (but not surprised!) at the state of my bag both inside and out and the state of it’s contents. I’ve attached few sample pictures of the outside of the bag, inside and it’s contents for your reference herewith.
I can clearly tell the bag had been left outside in the rain (monsoon in India)/ drenched in water as there is full of water damage that it stinked like a garbage when it arrived with full of moss/ mould/ fungus all over the bag and inside the bag. Moreover I had my contents like expensive T-shirt tops, trousers, sports wear, daughter’s classical dance outfit, my son’s clothes etc were extensively damaged and stain marks left that didn’t go away even after few washes. Moreover, the contents were left in that state of damage for some time that the stink it caused doesn’t go away from it at all even after extensive cleaning. As some of the contents such as classic dance (Barathanattyum) dress, expensive Sarees, blouses etc were ordered, made to measure from India that I can’t get it here in UK. All these caused considerable amount of emotional stress besides the financial loss caused by the carelessness of Air India. I had no other choice rather than to bin the whole of the bag and its contents into trash due to the state of it when I received which cannot be retrieved to it's original self!!
Besides all this the amount of time and effort I put personally to chase for answers and the number of emails and phone calls (look through your records), WhatsApp’s and text messages that I did to locate my bag is countless. The online baggage tracker wasn’t updated with required info even after almost 10 days since the bag was lost, all this proves the inefficiency of Air India officials and how little care you provide to customer’s belongings and only proves how little/ nil answer you do to provide any answers to genuine customers like me. I do not need to go through any of this stress caused by Air India.
Look at the state of the bag and content in the pictures which will tell what I’m trying to explain but you will never understand how it smelt when it arrived late at night and the poor service that your baggage delivery company provided…and the list goes on and on. Totally useless and utterly disgraceful service I had experienced with Air India. The service had not only improved but also have gone worse since the recent take over by one of the biggest ever reputed Mr Ratan Tata. I personally think this such a service only defame Mr tata and his brand and only force patriotic people like me away from India brands/ airlines and Brand Tata! I really felt bad for choosing Air India to have gone through this stress myself my family (including young kids) put through this. Never again I’ll travel with Air India even by mistake.
I shall hereby demand Air India to investigate this properly and start processing my claim for the thousands of pounds I lost including my Reebok branded duffel bag and the emotional stress this has caused to me & my family. For your kind information I have proofs of all those phonecalls, texts, whatsapps messages, emails that I & my wife made to Air India. Please check all your email records you received from both email IDs copied into this email and you will see for yourself the amount of conversations and chase ups that went since my bag was lost!!
Moreover, once the claim has been sorted to my satisfaction, I’m planning to post my message above including pictures and my story with proof on Social Media and also planning to personally write to Mt tat explaining him of what I had gone through with his Air India.
Can someone responsible contact me immediately and sort out this amicably. Please take this seriously- If I do not hear from Air India in the next few days and get a satisfactory answer I’m planning to go through the lawsuit route.
More evidence, pictures etc details is in the initial email sent to on 26 September 2022 at 14:22:09 BST, but then followed up with multiple emails which were never answered.

I have been following up with Air India from 2 years regarding refund of below flight tickets. Flight was cancelled by Air India as per COVID guidelines per Indian Govt.
As original ticket was booked via agent (last minute.com), i have also filed refund request via them to air india in Jan'21. Also Agent (LastMinute.com) confirmed over email that no refund from the Air India has been received regarding below tickets despite multiple chasers.

I checked into flight No. AI934 from Dubai to Kochi Flight on 21.10.2022, Due to maintenance issues with the flight, they canceled the flight for that day. They suggested going for cancellation, full refund amount will come to the account. I have applied for a refund ONLINE. But I received less amount. since it's NOT a fault from my side. Need full refund amount for the same.
Wrote a mail many times, but NO responses... No picking up calls in customer care.

I have booked a ticket vide PNR No:ZB0B6 from Airindia on 15.02.20 prior to Covid-19 lockdown and the travel date was on 07.06.2020, due to Covid-19 lockdown Airindia have cancelled the flight AI-429 - Del-CJB, all the flight cancelled during Covid-19 period is entitled for full refund. I have checked it with Airindia executive at your Delhi Jorbagh office, he confirmed after checking in their system that I will get refund of Rs.7, 014 after adjusting GST amount Rs.312 from Total amount Rs.7, 326. After long correspondence I have received Rs.1314 from Airindia and balance Rs.5700 still to be received from Airindia. Now Airindia is not responding my email reminders.
I would request you to kindly look into the matter and do the needful to send me the balance amount at the earliest.

I tried booking tickets from air india website from Ahmadabad to imphal for 28Sep22 on 27Sep 22 paid through phone pe upi appended below as attached screenshot transaction details the transaction was successful from upi's end but the same time air india just displayed the 'make payment' page again. So i don't get my tickets, no reference number or anything and my amount was deducted. Upi confirmed that transaction was successful from their end. I want to get my refund back.

Unsteady fare

Airindia, like other airlines, indulges in cheap marketing gimmicks by increasing the fare contrary to its repeated advertisements informing the public of its reduced fares.For instance, fare for a traveller's round trip from Chennai(MAA) to SFO(Sanfrancisco, USA) was slated as Rs.76, 000/- for the journey to be undertaken on 07.11.22.To their fradulent gesture, they announced a low fare for 11th, 13th& 14th November, 2022, but to one's predicament, they responded with an error message saying the fare has gone up to Rs.89, 000/-for a person(round trip).Likewise, there is an unsteady surge of fare from time to time.Their rules& regulations are rigid and one fears to take any journey by Airindia& other airlines.Their actions in increasing the fares from second to second is unjustified and seems to have been adopting 'Dravida Model' in earning while the sun shines.If they continue the same tactics, they will lose their market to see their downfall.Will the Govts.look into the grievances to render remedial measures, controlling the airfares?

Money not refunded even after 3 months
Hi,
I was trying to book ticket from AirIndia website where my money got deducted but ticket didn't get booked. I have chasing them to refund my money from last 3 months over the emails and calls. I have send them more than 20 email and called them so many time but only get that our concerned team is looking into it but no refund, no resolution from last 3 months. They are just not taking my case seriously. Could you please help me to get money refunded. I have attached the transaction screenshot as well.

I have paid my airline booking from upi paytm on my pc, my money got deducted but when I go back to the page it said something wrong and there's no confirmation message in my email for the booking, please solve my problem .

Refund not provided for Lockdown travel
Hi, PNR YMCMZ had to be cancelled for 20 March 2020 travel as India had a restrictions for international travellers and lockdown was invoke. We couldn't travel and raised a cancellation request 8 days prior to the travel, we have been assured that the request is raised and refund will be processed. Till date (Aug2022) we have not heard anything from AirIndia on the refund nor received any payment. Multiple feedback complaint raised (example - case ID[protected], however no response so far. I would like to file this as a complaint being a foreign nation and experiencing such a terrible service for a simple refund as we couldn't travel due to the restrictions placed in by Indian government to lockdown everything and international travellers. Cancellation was processed through phone and assured a refund. Nothing given. Kindly look into this issue and provide some intervention in this. Thanks. Regards, NIlesh D

hi - Delhi-Chicago flight, I was harassed by a guy- Chandra Chabra & team and extorted all the money I have ($90 + INR 3000) for carrying excess hand baggage and told he will email me the receipt which was never done. The entire team supported him, felt like humiliated and helpless as they held my boarding pass till final call and scared me that I will miss my flight if I don't pay the money. I have taken a photo of his ID card and he made me delete it to return my boarding pass . This is kind of extortion in the name of excess baggage and complained the same to AI (Reference No: WB-IDEL[protected]) but looks it the case is now closed and they did not bother to write to me about what action was taken .
Service on AI flight (both ways) was pathetic, onward entertainment system does not work and return the ac runs of minimum and you will be served food only twice (in 15 hrs journey) and the give a combination like Chicken Biryani and ToorDal, don't know who in the world will eat this combination. TATA's please improve the international services !!! we love you.

Money refund for non confirmed ticket
I am Abhinaya. I booked the ticket for AI460 (Vijayawada to delhi) on 2nd August 2022 twice . But both times the money(Rs.5411, Rs5412) has been deducted from my account but ticket hasn't been confirmed. The transactions are done on[protected]&[protected]. So I request for refund please or else you are liable for strict action. I paid through UPI ID: [protected]@ybl through phonepe.

Refund notmade since last 8 months
I booked an international flight for 6th November 2021 and it was cancelled due to rescheduling by airindia. Feedback form was filled immediately having. It was again filled as suggested by your customer care agents on 4/01/2022 and again on 12/04/2022 and finally got an email in response that refund will be credited within 10 days but no refund has been made till date and on calling customer care no. they always have the same reply that please fill the feedback form again and refund will be made in 7 days. Its already been around 8 months and still no refung has been made.

Not letting me travel
Air India stopped me at Mumbai airport just because of my visa was stamped on old passport, I am UAE resident from last 7 years still they didn't listen. I need to let my wife travel with my 3 months old baby along with all baggage. And same time I booked Emirates airline ticket and I travelled to Dubai on a same day after 3 hours. My family was waiting in Dubai just because of this horrible issue. Air India didn't even provide basinet for infant in the flight saying "this air craft don't have facility" Really !!! So just because of this, my wife carried my baby whole flight. And I was not even there to help.
My ticket was not used and my baby didn't get basinet so I am requesting here for full refund of both tickets.

Airindia reschedule ticket cancel but refund not deducted
Sir my Airindia ticket pnr JY7LQ. AND TICKET NO.[protected] .sir my ticket is[protected] from jammu to Srinagar But Airlines reschedule my ticket is[protected] . Sir I AM DEFENCE PERSON MY LEAVE JOINING DATE IS[protected].sir I had canceled my Reshedule ticket by calling Airindia customer on 2 May 2022 and customer care said that your full refund will come in twenty one day but I have not got Refund Amount yet and now costmer care vol It has been that Refund will not be available please sir please get my money

My name is surjit Kumar And I was a passenger on an Air India flight number 101. This was a International flight On April 28, 2022 at 1:45am Thursday.
I booked my flight On February 09, 2022 and confirmed all my fours seats with extra payments but when I check-in on air India counter they give me all Separate seats. I told executive, manager I have confirmed my seats number but they don’t want to Listen and directly they say me to go and file complain for that They can’t do nothing for this matter. I told and show everything
1 I have confirmed seats number
2 I pay extra for seats
3 main thing I have two kids (2 ys, 5ys)
But nobody want to listen and explain how can sit 2 ys or 5ys baby on separate seat without parents. I need to refund my money.
Please contact me as soon as possible to correct this situation. I would Appreciate a prompt Response.
Please also find enclosed copy of the ticket and boarding passes

Flight change not informed, hotel stay not provided and unethical behaviour
I had booked a direct flight from Mumbai to Frankfurt on 25.02.2022, which was cancelled by the airlines. They did not inform me about the cancellation and without prior information, they bumped me to a 1-stop flight which was scheduled hours before my original flight's departure. After calling customer care, my flight was rescheduled to 26.02.2022 and they did not provide me with any hotel stay or hotel voucher.
On asking the reason behind not providing any other compensation, I was told that they do not provide any other compensation for the "Economy" ticket! AirIndia's discrimination for "Economy" passengers is not good as they are forgetting that even Economy passengers of an International flight do pay in multiples of ten thousand.
I am not from Mumbai, so I had to bear additional travel, stay and food costs. On top of that, I had to pay extra for my connecting train in Frankfurt. This experience also caused mental stress.
I contacted the AirIndia's customer care for some help but I was put on long holds to the extent that a drunk agent was having a party at his house and cut the phone on me. I have the recordings to prove my claim and I would be happy to share it with the company. I have the documents as well with me but I would share it only after someone from the company would contact me to help resolve this complaint because, the invoices have my personal data on it.
I want the company to compensate for the night stay and other expenses as my flight was delayed by a day.

Misbehaviour by staff at Nepal airport
An Indian citizen, travelling from Nepal to India the staff at the counter misbehaved, unprofessional etiquette and not helpful at all. I saw someone check in with 24 kilos without any payment but i was asked to pay for 23 kilos. Despite mentioning I have flight to Sydney and I’m allowed 30kilos.
I was travelling alone, didn’t know the language and was mistreated.
It’s highly disappointing that Indian staff treat people with such disrespect. People never have good things to say about airindia and especially the customer service.
I need this to be resolved and a customer agent to call me. I paid for my ticket and extra luggage and I was discriminated against. Such discrimination is not acceptable especially against women.

On March 30-2022 at muscat airport i lost my 3 hand baggage i sent mail them too many times on different mail id still i did not got any answer.

I booked 2 ticket for my parents for March 7th from Bengaluru to SFO Via expedia. I reserved seats 37J and 37K. I called twice and made sure it is confirmed. I have proof for confirmation. While web check-in I saw one seat changed to 41F, so I called Airindia and It confirmed it again that it is same seats 37J nad 37K.
But when my parents checked in at counter they gave 41J and 41K. And these seats doesn't have recliner and my parents are above 60s and it is 16 hours of long journey. I can't imagine my parents situation, feeling guilty for booking airindia flight. I am feeling very betrayed by AirIndia and I want justice for this cruel act by AirIndia flight crews.
But when my parents checked in at counter they gave 41J and 41K. And these seats doesn't have recliner and my parents are above 60s and it is 16 hours of long journey. I can't imagine my parents situation, feeling guilty for booking airindia flight. I am feeling very betrayed by AirIndia and I want justice for this cruel act by AirIndia flight crews.

Airindia has taken my money without issuing ticket for me. Not even an Eticket was generated. I had tried to book flight from JFK New Delhi Mumbai for 14th July 2021. Payment was done on 8th July 2021 using an debit card BOA. Till date refund is not received. Refund team only does acting on call as if voice is not coming. Am writing letter everywhere possible since amount is 2 lac. PNR JNYC6 and WB-IJFK[protected]reference numbre)

I cancelled my ticket and it's been more than 1 month but i have not received my refund. I have contacted all the toll free no's mentioned on their website but all the no's are always busy. I have received any reply from [protected]@airindia.in

Still not get payment for Ticket cancellation due to covid
I hereby bring to your kind notice that I have booked a Air ticket (No.[protected], PNR: Y7ZYM) for travelling from CCU(KOLKATA) to YYZ(TORONTO) on 9th Sept, 2021. However, I was not able to travel due to covid restrictions and I have cancelled the ticket on 15th Aug 21 through one of the Air India customer care representative. Also filled up feedback from twice (WB-ICCU[protected];(WB-ICCU[protected]
I waited for more than 21 days, and also called several time to Airindia by I did not get any refund
I called again on today 02.07.2022, where I came to know that my refund has been granted on 12.11.21. with reference id 098A1I14395YHH, But i still not get that payment in my account, They are asking me to ask to bank whereas bank saying they cannot give any clarification as I made this payment through an UPI app, My UPI id is [protected]@oksbi
I am totally fed up with the issue. Atfirst airindia was not given payment and now they are saying its processed and bank saying its not there concern.
Please help me out as soon as possilble.
I hereby request from this forum to grant my refund at the earliest.
