Refund not received for cancelled ticket

I purchased AirIndia flight ticket(E-Ticket Number[protected] from Kannur (CNN) to Toronto(YYZ) (travel date: Jun 4, 2021). As direct flight is banned between India and Canada, ticket is cancelled. I have requested refund through customer care, email, feedback form but still not received refund. Could you please help to get the refund?

No Refund for cancelled ticket

Below international tickets were cancelled due to covid pandemic and I didnt got my refund from airindia. Its been more than 1 year and I am still waiting for my refund. On May 24th I got a call from airindia and they told they are initiating the refund but my credit card which i made thorugh payment for this itinerary was closed and they said the payment failed as my credit card was close. So they requested to send my bank and ticket details and I responded back. From then I dont have any update again.

Waiting for refund for more than 10 months

In Aug 2020, I booked AIr India VBM after confirming with their support team that if I cancel the ticket within 24hrs, I will get full refund within 5-7 days. Based on assurance, I cancelled tickets worth 4.7 laks and its been so far more than 10 months, yet to get refund. I have sent more than 20 emails, calls, tweets.. no use. Not even a single response from concerned team.
My family member is fighting cancer, and we really need this money to continue the treatments, I have mentioned this also multiple times. Still no response. All ticket details are in the attachment. Can you please help?

I'm shrividya from Coimbatore. I also cheatrd by Mr.bhartendu namwal. He message me That I was selected in airindia for a post of ground engineer in Coimbatore so he request me to pay application fee and training fee 380+5500 to his google pay number I'm also sent him. Then he was no reply to me. Please refund my amount

I booked my flight in airindia through paytm from jamnagar to hydrabad for 7th of March
But due to flight timing was changed by airlines so I ask airlines to cancelled my ticket and process my refund so they told me u have to contact your travel agent that means paytm regarding refund issue.
Now its been more than 14 days I havnt received my refund yet and not even cancelation massage of my ticket.
I called paytm about this so they told me airlines not refunding my money when airlines refund your money to us than we refund your money please tell Airindia airlines to refund my money
I booked 2 tickets.

This is to bring to your attention that I am waiting for the refund of my cancelled ticket (cancelled from my end on 10/09/2020) since 188 days as of today. For the last 6 months, I have been calling airindia customer care team multiple times (almost twice a month), but all of those were of no avail. With this, I must admit that this is worst customer service team I have encountered.
I would like to highlight some of the recent experiences I faced with airindia so called customer service. Swapnil from customer team gave a false commitment that the refund will be processed in 1-3 days. He raised a case ID 08155365 for this. Pooja from constantly tried to deviate from my actual issue and asked me to reach out to Travel Partner ; where I already conveyed that I was calling AirIndia as instructed by travel partner team.service is worst and employees doesn't care about customer's problem. .Also I want you to take serious actions against Swapnil and Pooja because if it is call this service then I would never prefer Airindia and i will never recommend anyone.
I also took the liberty of reaching Air India through Twitter and I did not get any help from air india twitter team as well.
When I reached out to my travel partner, they told they have already raised Refund Application (RA) NO:- [protected] for my case.
I need my refund at the earliest as this is a non lockdown case and it is 188 days since I requested for refund.

Non receipt of refund on cancellation of air ticket
This is is with regard to refund of fare in respect of cancelled e-ticket no[protected] scheduled travel date of 13.12.2020 from Bangalore to Guwahati. It is to inform that till date I had not received the refund. Air India over telecom informed that refund was initiated on 21st Jan 2021 with transaction ref 0981L00082O5P but till date the same was not received. The issue was also taken up my banker who confirmed the same and requested for a mail/letter from Airindia for taking up the matter with the merchant banker of Air India. Inspite of repeated mails and telephones Airindia is not responding. The helpdesk always repeat the same answer that they don't have the provision.
It is requested that a credit advice/note with regard to cancellation/refund may please be arranged by email so as to take up with my banker.
It is once again requested that the matter may be treated as urgent as I am in dire need of money and unable to pay card bill.

This mail is in reference to REFUND NOT RECEIVED for cancellation of Flight ticket.
Self has cancelled the flight ticket on 7th October 2020. Unfortunately have yet not received the expected refund.
Note, It has been more than 120 days since filing for the refund.
On inquiring over the customer care, the response was not satisfied and hence they could not help out for the subject issue.

Refund of failed transaction
This is regarding transaction failure. The amount has gone out from my bank account. I tried to contact customer care UK and not able to get any support.The deducted amount is still not credited to my account.

Please check the status of my Transaction done on 18th December & Still no update from your side. Contacting Airindia Customer Care is Useless because they are keeping in hold for Hours and not providing the valid information. They are always saying only 1 transaction reflecting in their System.

No Response for refund emails or requests from airindia

I have cancelled 4 tickets from BAH-MAA (ticket numbers 098***81, 82, 83, 84) It has been 2 months since the cancellation. I have sent countless emails to the airindia mobilebookings team and ecommerce team. However, no one is care to reply or provide me any update. not refunding seat booking amount

It was very inappropriate and careless.

amount debited from my account but not refunded back as the air ticket not generated
I was trying to book a ticket, the amount has been deducted from my account vide aibe5695704 but tickets not generated for pnr ymh1s. Requested the air india airlines to credit back the amount of rs 13894. They confirmed that they received the amount but could not generate tickets because of time out. But still not credited back the amount. Kindly help in this regard to get back the amount as already more than 20 days over.

flight canceled and no resolution from air india's end

Being a frequent flyer and trusting india's proud brand i booked a round trip kolkata — cairo — kolkata via mumbai for my family. Not even a week before you suddenly plan to cancel your flight for me and my 22 mo old son and intimate me via an e-mail (That lands up in spam), not even a courtesy call suggesting an alternative!!! At least your airlines should have the courtesy to post an official mail clearly stating the grounds on which my flight had been canceled.
Yes, friends, i was scheduled to board ai 7690 on 17th feb 2020 from cairo to kolkata via mumbai. Today, i received an mail stating "revised itinerary for yl9kx", which mentioned canceled itinerary with an excuse of operational issues (Funny fact: the mail was not even properly drafted).
I immediately contacted air india toll-free which was unresponsive and after dialing 4 no. S, i could finally get in touch with the customer service who informed me my flight is canceled & i should contact their star alliance "egyptair" (The carrier provider from cairo to mumbai). Upon contacting egyptair, i get to know they cannot help me since the tickets were booked from the air india website.
I again contacted the air india office and asked for the reason and solution for the canceled flight. To this, they lied blankly on my face that the flight is canceled. However, upon requesting the status for my husband's ticket, they said his flight is scheduled... Well, the funny thing is that we were booked on the same flight then how come my husband's flight is scheduled and mine is canceled. Is this some kind of joke???
At least have the sincerity to lie properly (Logically) to your trusted customers if not do your job. No wonder you are at such great loss!!!
Its been already 24 hrs, here i'm being tossed by the customer support between air india & egypt air (In a foreign country) with no clarity on my return to my homeland. Worst is that the customer support asked me to visit the air india office located in cairo. Upon visiting the given address i learned that the air india office has been shut 2 years back and upon contacting the airport, i learn air india has no counters in cai international airport and egyptair cannot help.
The customer care now is expecting my relatives from kolkata should visit mumbai based air india office to resolve this issue. Another joke!!!
So this is how air india is providing me with the best of their services...

refund of tax amount and mileage points due to cancellation of air india tickets

Pnr no - jgeqe (Pune to delhi dated 28.10.19)
On date status - pnr canceled based on cancellation dated 21.10.19
Due to the change in my travel plans, i had canceled the above ticket on 21.10.19 (I. E 7 days prior to departure of flight) by using airindia helpline number [protected].
After cancellation of ticket, based on the guidance provided by the helpline, i immediately forwarded an email dated 21.10.19 to [protected]@airindia.in requesting them for refund of tax amount and 80 percent mileage as per airindia norms.
I received an email from your email dated 30.10.19 stating that i will get the refund from the web portal from where i had booked the ticket. Accordingly i again approached helpline number since i had booked my tickets using helpline number. I apprised them about the contents of email recieved from ecommerce but tthey again reiterated that refund will be made by writing a mail to [protected]@airindia.com only.
I have been approaching and following them on this matter from past 15 days but there is absolute silence from their end. I have also approached the airindia pune city office and also airport office, but they are also showing their helplessness in this regard and asking us to contact only helpline for which we have to wait for more than 15 mins before an executive picks up the phone and then also they only forward the calls to other person without providing any assistance. This has become an endless loop and no result is coming from their end.
Despite of following all their instructions and forwarding emails to all the appropriate email ids such as [protected]@airindia.in etc, no response is fort coming from any place and as a customer
The customer service of airindia appears to be pathetic and indifferent to the customer grievance. We are totally clueless regarding refund of the legitimate dues as per their norms and therefore need your help in sorting out the above problem

I want to file case against air india counter representative named priya sharma of air india who doesn’t allow me to board my flight due to her personal grudge.
Though i am in boarding line before 50min and met her at 43min before

Apart from my money loss, i have a mental trauma talking to that lady. She denied me to board just because she had bad mood.
I want to file a legal case against your representative priya sharma. Please let me know the jurisdiction where to file a case against her.
Please let me know the required asap.
In relation to that, since air india management kept denying that i was not in boarding row counter before 45 min. I tried to check cctv footage from gvk facility but it requires some formalities. These formalities and police complain can be carried out only after 14 days when i will come back to mumbai. Please help me in filing a case so that i can acces cctv which would be stored only for 1 month.
This is only the sole proof of air india negligence and lie
This will help in compensating for my mental trauma that i have gone through.
Please do the needful and keep me informed.

money got debited but no pnr generated for the booking in airindia website
I booked for airindia flight from delhi to bhubaneswar for the date 20th nov, 2019, in the name of swagatika priyadarsini, after the transaction was successful, money got debited from my account and credited to airindia. But the online booking page showed an error message and i did not get any pnr for the same booking.
I have mailed ai customer services, but they have not replied yet.
I want my refund asap.

My checked in bag is misplaced by air india, traveled from frankfurt to delhi, lodged complaint, but not received any response from air india. Complaint no. Delai 27196, tracker showing not yet traceable. Contacted airindia for help. Not got any favorable answer, happened on 30.09.2019. Till date baggage is not traceable. Wrote a mail but no answer from airlines, please do the needful

refund of my ticket 098 3663804132 has not been addressed after 3 months now
I had cancelled my reservation of my journey on 12 jun from lucknow to new delhi to stockholm due to change in the flight timings reported by airlines.
I had booked myb tickets via gotogate and hence airindia wanted me to register the cancellation and refund to gotogate.
Its been close to 3 months now since i am waiting for myrefund but have not received any news from airindia/gotogate yet apart froma ref no : [protected].
I had booked myb tickets via gotogate and hence airindia wanted me to register the cancellation and refund to gotogate.
Its been close to 3 months now since i am waiting for myrefund but have not received any news from airindia/gotogate yet apart froma ref no : [protected].

I have canceled my International booking ticket from Hyderabad to Chicago round trip with PNR Y2EQQ. But until now the amount was not refunded to my account through which I have booked the ticket. Today when I spoke to the Customer care the person is telling the amount was refunded on 06/04/2019, hence I request you to kindly refund the amount as it is very high time. I have checked with my bank also there was no refunded amount in my account. It is very very time taking process and at the end of the day I hadn't get the refund. I request to solve the complaint on emergency basis and I am very much dissatisfied with the services.The customer care and Ecommerce team are horrible, Customer care takes more than hour to get connected despite saying 10 mins of wait time and Ecommerce never responds to any email sent. I am shocked to say that I am dealing with a national airline. Team, its hard earned money, please do refund.

Only request I have is to have a transparent communication with customers, so that customers doesnt need to follow up for refunds. Also, please enhance your system to track the refund status online, so that customers will look at that and will reach out to you only if the refund is not happening with in the committed time as per the Airline policy. We love our India and wish Airindia to perform better to match the customer interests. Good Luck. Thank You.

Absolutely disgusting and we are senior citizens. We are at a complete loss as to how to handle this airline because they just don't attend to or respond to our calls effectively.

compensation for delayed baggage

On 1st february 2019, i travelled from hamburg (My permanent address) to delhi via london.
From hamburg to london/lhr i travelled by british airways, flight no. 967 dated 1st feb.2019 and from london/lhr to delhi by air india flight no ai 0112 dated 1st feb. 2019. I had booked flight with british airways from hamburg to delhi. (Copies of boarding passes enclosed)
On arrival at delhi airport on 2nd feb 2019, all of my checked baggage comprising of three (03) bags, were missing.
I immediately reported the missing baggage at air india helpdesk at the airport (Igia t3) and submitted baggage tags. Copy of report is enclosed.
I contacted the air india 24x7 baggage helpline (Tel. No. [protected]) but no one answered my call for 3 days, nor was i provided any update or information about tracing of my baggage. There was no information on ai website and british airways helpline was also clueless about my bags.
After 3 days of anxiety, i received a call from air india on 5th of feb, i was informed by telephone about tracing of baggage and subsequently the baggage was delivered at my temporary address in india only on 5th of feb at 22:42 pm., copy enclosed.
In this regard it is submitted that in the peak winter season, i had to arrange for clothing and medicine etc, due to delayed baggage, and i had to incur expenditure unnecessarily and thus i was harassed.
It is therefore, requested to pay me the compensation for delayed baggage as per rules. Details are as under:

irresponsibility
Me and my husband were travelling to pune from jfk, newyork via delhi.
We transferred our luggage in delhi..
But we did not get one of our bags..
Air india staff was not helpful..
For 24 hours they were not able to tell anything about the bag.. Also stoped picking our calls..
Very irresponsible
Cant even track a bag in their own flight..
Disappointed a lot..

Such documents are absent and not attched .
All complaints on missing/lost/damaged baggage have to be submitted
to the air carrier at the air port or at the site of the air carrier not later than 7 or 21 days following the flight.
The agent of the air carrier must issue PROPERTY IRREGULATION REPORT (PIR) or DAMAGED REPORT to each passenger who had submitted the complaint immediately.
The responsibility of the air carrier is limitted by Indian law and by the ICAO convention.
The air carrier has 15 or 21 days either
- to deliver the baggage to your home
- to compensate
- to issue the other decsion
following the receipt of the correct complaint from the passenger.
Note, it is usless to request the same subject matter more than 2 times from the same service provider.

delay in flight departure

This is to inform you that i booked ticket on flight no. Ai 526 from kolkata to hyderabad. The flight suppose to depart at 19:00 hours, but at 19:15 hours we got news from captain that the cabin crew was not boarded the flight n we are waiting for crew, results in late departure now the time is 19:30 hrs and still not getting any information.

FF-miles for ticket purchase is extremely complicated. No online purchase facility. First call on customer (huge wait time)...verify your details again and again. You will be given PNR no valid for 1-day. Call again on customer-care get one email-link for applicable tax payment, preserve 'transaction-id'. Call 3rd time customer-care verify again your details, convey transaction-id. Then they will tell you your ticket will be sent by email... wait for long for your ticket on email...probably you will get. They have made the whole exercise extremely exhausting...in fact it is their way of discouraging customers to get 'miles-ticket'.

The level of the marketting program for FF are poor all over the world, not Airindia only.
The managers of FF programme of Airindia do not have any engineering / managemnt competence in comperison with others.
You can benefit from FF programe of Airindia partner airlines only, if the number of flights are more frequesntly than 8 per year and in 3-4 years, example, Turkish airlines, Qatar airways, Singapore airlines.

business class travel - a nightmarish experience

I travelled in ai 124 from frankfurt mumbai on[protected]
At the frankfurt airport, i upgraded to business class by paying 438 euros and was allotted the seat 3d.
As soon as i boarded the flight and took my seat, i realised that that the seat recline was not working. When the flight had taken off, i complained about this to the crew members. The cabin in charge mentioned to me that it will be fixed by some person as soon as the snack service is over.
After about one and a half hours, since nothing was happening, i reminded her to call this person who could fix the problem.
For me, the purpose of travelling in a business class was to work with a good back support keeping my legs stretched position (Due to some health issues). But the crew member who came later to fix it did it in such a way manually that it was not possible to even sit properly. They tried it to change three times and finally it turned out that the only position they could then put the seat on was the in the fully stretched bed position.
I this position it was difficult for me to sit and work as there was no back support. I managed 81/2 hours by sitting without a proper back support and lying down (In a rather uneven surface - the manual change to fully stretched bed position was also not completely alright).
Now comes the nightmarish part of the episode. The captain announced that that the flight was landing and asked the crew to be seated for landing. After the second announcement was made by the captain, two to three crew members came to my seat to change into seating position.
I was standing all the while while the plane was descending. Cabin in charge asked the crew to leave it as it is but they were struggling hard to get back the the seat in the upright position. This was when the monitor was showing 18kms to destination! Finally, i felt unsafe standing and went and at in one of the crew’s chair just behind the cockpit. The seat 3d could not be put in the upright position before landing and it was neither stretched nor upright - in this position, they asked me to go back and sit in my seat. So this was the situation when the plane was just descending and about to land and i am walking back and forth switching my seat from crew's seat to the seat 3d! The crew were also walking around! Finally, i went and sat in my seat in a vague position with seat belt on as the seat could not be put back to an upright position manually by the crew.
I believe my safety was compromised and there was a lot of panic created.
The whole journey was made uncomfortable.
The cabin-in - charge of crew was also impolite that the behaviour really raised my temper. The cabin in charge was not willing to acknowledge in writing to me that the seat was not fine. Two other passengers also had the problem of non-reclinable seats.
With a reputed national carrier we have better expectations. I believe i should not have upgraded if there were no proper seats available in the business class. The travel was much worse than in economy.
The remote to the tv was not working. However considering the whole bad experience and the seriousness of the matter that my safety was compromised in the last part of the flight, i consider this as a minor point of complaint in comparison to the uncomfortable experience during the flight and the nightmarish experience during the landing.
I request for a refund and an appropriate compensation for the physical and mental distress caused by the whole experience. Kindly respond.
