No TC between Itarsi and Narsinghpur
Dear Sir,
I have travelled in the Train with reservation in Vindhyachal Express from Itarsi to Kareli with Ticket PNR Number[protected] along with my Wife. This Train is Express even then it is stopping in all stations and many people are coming and sitting in this reserved compartment and there is no TC to check the Tickets and when I having Discussion with them came to know that many people are traveling without Ticket and it is their routine job like this. so hope some rail authorities will take care of this so that lots of Government Income is going vane.

Bungled booking
I had booked seven seats on August Kranti Rajdhni for 18th December 2008 for my family in II-class A.C. 2 tier from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Bombay central vide ticket No.[protected]PNR No.[protected] on 24.09.2008 from the Railway booking counter at Supreme Court, New Delhi. Due to unavoidable reasons three seats had to be canceled. I enquired from the Railway enquiry on telephone No.139 and I was informed that only the seats for the three that had to be cancelled will be cancelled and the remaining births will remain the same. Accordingly, on the very next day i.e. 25.09.2008, I sent my clerk to get the said births cancelled. The booking clerk at the counter was far from courteous. He cancelled three births and issued a fresh ticket for the four remaining births (out of which two were lower births for senior citizens and two upper births for the girls) and in the process the new births that have been allotted are two upper births for senior citizens and two births in the passage, one upper and one lower for the girls . Two o[censored]s are senior citizens aged 74 and 70 years and the two who have been allotted the births in the passage are young girls. I understand that there are clear instructions that, as far as possible, senior citizens will be given lower births. While issuing the new ticket No.12714233 the PNR No.[protected] remains the same. I fail to understand as to why the earlier allotment was not continued. From the attitude of the booking clerk, who was not even prepared to tell how much will be the cancellation charges, I am firmly of the view that this has been done on purpose. I also lodged a complaint on toll-free No.[protected] (Complaint No.691 Dated 25.09.2008) but nothing seems to have been done till today.

Cleanliness
Dear Sir,
I had travelled through Uttar Banga Express on the 23rd of Sep, 08, and was very dissapointed to experience my entire journey with cockroaches and other bugs in a AC 2-tier.
Disinfections and proper cleaning was not done by the concerned authorities.

I had travelled by the Kerala Sampark Kranti on 06/062015 from Panvel to Thrissur in 2AC . The condition of the Toilet was so bad that we could not use it. When we reached Madgaon, it was raining heavily and to my utter surprise the bogie started leaking.
It needs to be mentioned that people with broom and white disinfectants came and cleaned the bogie twice but the toilets were not touched upon. I would like to add that in AC the stench of disinfectant was unbearable. I has taken some stills of the same but could not attach due to size of the file.the bogie was manufactured in 2000 and i feel no maintenance was carried to make it fit for human use. The curtains were discoloured and were torn in many places. Sir, we are proud of our Swach Bharat Abhiyan and expect better coaches for travel.Request to take necessary steps to avoid such situations in future

railway/assam police misusing authority
Sir,
I would like to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities the harassment faced by me this morning, the 11th of July, 2008 at around 4:00 AM to 4:15 AM at Guwahati Railway station overbridge. I being a student, traveled by train (Avadh Assam Express 5610) departing from Delhi and arriving at Guwahati Station this morning. While passing through the overbridge, the 3 (three) police officers, one senior and two juniors (men in uniform) attending their duties at the mentioned date and time standing at the railway overbridge just before the steps leading to the ASTC bus station(Paltan Bazar), stopped me and asked me to open my bags. I comply with them thinking that they were doing their duties. After checking my belongings and found no faults, they started checking my body, still I thought it was their duty but suddenly to my utter dismay, they took out my wallet, check it and took all the money. Thanks to my ATM card which made my journey to Shillong possible. IS THIS NOT DAYLIGHT EXTORTION? This might be a common practice of the police officers at the Guwahati overbridge to check and harass the railway passengers. So as a concerned railway traveller, I request the concerned authorities to look into the matter seriously to fight corruption and bring the culprits to book as well as to implement security cameras/systems at the Guwahati Railway station to ensure transparency and safety to the esteemed railway travellers who cannot afford to travel by air inspite of surety of dedicated service, transparency, politeness and ease of travel.

Assam is almost a terrorist state to me, i say this becoz recently my dad who worked for ONGC died in a suspicious state at ONGC colony room leaving a note but post mortem says its not suicide. Sup. of Police, jorhat says its suspicious so i am dealing with the matter directly and Sub inspector coming under jurisdiction says its suspicious so how can we go ahead with matter. It has almost been 1 and half months till my dad's death no FIR has been filed and wen asked SI says the ONGC witness has gone on leave for 1 month and will have to book FIR after they come back. The Indian Laws says that, if SI or Inspector refuses to register FIR, compliant to Sup. of Police so that he will reigster the case. But in my dad's case SP itself says FIR is not required to register, Now tell me wat will i do. Not even a good coordination between SP and SI for same jorhat city. This is the condition of Police depot. itseft there, So dont expect Railway police will do the duties, they are also terrorists dressed in police uniforms.
Like Aishwariya(Above), I too live in Chennai. A similar case as that which happened to my dad happened here just a month ago, and Chennai police acted so swiftly that they completed the case just within a month and arrested the culprits and put then kuzhal jail to 8 years. But the same happened to my dad at Assam but not even FIR(which is the start for a case) has been filed at yet.
So remember, Unless u make these kinds of news to media u wont get justice. I am too waiting for Media but if i do that my dads due money from his office will not be given to us which is to be given after his death.

Cleanliness/Hygiene in Stations/Trains
June 5th - 2008 - Chennai Central railway station - time 3pm.
I was waiting for Lalbagh express to Bangalore. The below mentioned things were
a cause of inconvenience to all the passengers.
1. Luggage was thrown on the platform & passengers could hardly
walk on the platform. This caused a lot of inconvenience.
2. There was a foul smell on the platforms - 4 & 5. People had to use kerchiefs to
close their nose. The smell was intolerable.
3. The platform & tracks in the station are dirty & unhygienic. Cleanliness is way below
expected normal standards. I had a horrible experience.
4. On boarding the train to occupy the seat, cups/bottles & other left overs
were still lying at the seats. I guess the railways dont have a cleanliness check
before passengers are allowed to board.
Should passengers be offered such poor standards of cleanliness/hygiene in stations/trains?
Will the railway authorities look into the issues plaguing the passengers?

Resp Sir,
There are a lot many people commuting regularly from Bhiwandi to Thane and Thane to Bhiwandi. But there are no local trains for this route.
There are only 3 trains per day from Diva to Vasai going via Bhiwandi.
People use normal ST buses which are terribly overcrowded.
Please arrange some trains from Bhiwandi to Thane which will be a big relief to many people.

Railways — Refund on unused tickets
I have booked tickets through IRCTC e ticketing. I was unable to travel on the booked date.I approached for refund also. But till today I have not received.

Railways — misbehaviour of staff and poor condition
hello,few days back i was travelling on new delhi bhopal shatabdi exp. in coach no-E-1...
toilets were stinking and they had no locks ...
qulaity of food was very very bad...
foot rest was broken...
there was no leaflet of instructions or facilites available...
staff was highly uncourtieous, rather rude...
"when we pay so much then we must know what are the facilities avaible to us"
when i asked for complaint book for the third time, then a team of ticket checkers came and asked me about the problem... but didnt provide me with a complaint book...
in my coach there were many FOREIGN NATIONALS as well, so
WHAT IMPRESSION WILL THEY CARRY WITH THEM??
I HOPE THESE PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED SOON ...

Railways — No Books in Vijayawada after 9.00PM
Dear Sir,During my Journey from Vijayawada to Itarsi in SanghaMitra Express .The train is 10.40PM in the Night and it is observed that Books or Magzines or Newspapers are not available in the Big Vijayawada Junction. When enquired in the station I came to know that no Books will be available after 9.00PM.

Indian Railways — Commuting Facilities at majour Stattions
This refers to the dialy struggle of every individual who has to travel by train dialy to and fro his residence to his office.Approximately if 10 Million prsons are travelling everyday and generates the desired amounts, then why is it that the Indian Railways doing something to improve the commuting facilities at al the malour railways stations like:
Churchgate
Marine Lines
Charni Raod
Bombay Central
Lower Parel
Dadar
Bandra
Andheri
Borivli
These office must be made to travel eberyday for atlest a week to realise the problem one faces.
Following needs to be done, as follows:
Proper and hygenic exhaust facilities for fresh air circulation.
Clean and neat looking stations. Introduce accountability at al levels of employment.
Planting of ample of tress in and around of the stations
Removal of excess Advertisement Hoardings inside the station. It will reduce the heay energy generated.
Organised Food Court at one spot instead of scattered booths placed al across the platform.
Inforative kiosks and & sign boards at regular spots
Commuting for facilities for the disabled
Ample sitting benches all across the platform
Full fledged Information Counter
Co-ordial Secutirty Staff
Dustbins placed at regular spots
Proper cleaning of railways tracks and train compartments
Accountability for dirt and unhygenic surroundings
Underground Parking facilities
The list can go on and on, but its the Ralways who has to decide as its high time they did thin progressive
Don't you'll realise where we stand today compared to the other countries?
Don't you feel bad when you'll go to the foreign trips? That why we do not have the same facilities that they have?
Don't you want to earn some public credit?
Haven'y you'll earned enough money to run another 100 years?
Come on, lets move on.
With the support from progressive and understanding residents and Corporate why don't set an example for the world and the future genrations to come.

THERE ARE MANY PROBLEM IN BHIWANDI BUT THE MAJOR PROBLEM IS THERE IS NO LOCAL TRAIN FOR BHIWANDI. BHIWANDI IS WEAVERS BASED CITY AND POWERLOOM BASED CITY THEREFORE LOCAL TRAIN IS VERY IMPORTANT IN BHIWANDI. BHIWANDI CAN BE PROGRESSED ONLY WHEN THE LOCAL TRAIN COME TO BHIWANDI. PLS TRY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF OUR CITY.
Railways — non-availability of medical assistance during the course of jonrny
Dear, It is to bring to the notice when I was travelling from Lucknow to Haridwar on 28/6/09 by janta express ( 4265 up) in S-1 compartment birth no.5, 6, 7, 8 along with my familly members on a ticket holding pnr no.[protected], I started suffering with steep headache . Right from Bareilly to Najibabad I kept requesting fromthe TTE staff, guard, train driver to help me to kept Disprene tablets, they showed that they were help less to help me as there is no medical assistance provided during the course of the journy. It was not possible to take the same fromany of the shop on railway station as it was night but i learnt thatt even during the day time also there is no arrangement of medical assistance on even big railway stations.They suggested me to abondon my journey. That I was not able to do so. Hence I kept suffering.I request your kind honour to bring the subject to the knowledge to the railway ministry that medical assistance could be provided during the course of the journey. Even there may be more acute cases bitter than me even.

vasai to diva only four trains 7.15am, 12.50pm, 3.30pm, 6.45pm no train betwwn 9am to 10am which is most urgent for all citizens for office time at moreing. please start a train beetween 9am to 10am

BAI — Local train problem
Dear Sir,I am staying in Bhayander. It’s very difficult or impossible to catch train from bhayander station specially train coming from Virar even vasai station. People coming from Vasai and Virar jam the train compartment gate, not alloying bhayander people to get inside the train. As soon as train started & gets reasonable speed, we noticed that their exists lots of space inside the compartment. I specially noticed in morning 8.33 am, 8.37 am trains. Specially 2 nd compartment after middle ladies coach. Why railway is not taking actions against such persons.
Its very difficult or highly to board train from Boriwali between 7pm to 8pm. Western railway should increase one train in that duration.

Respected sir,I take no pride in mentioning the fact that I am a commuter on the MRTS. Agreed is the fact that the mass rapid transit transport system has been a lifeline to many commuters ,but the sad plight of the stations steals away all its glory . Of specific mention is the Thiruvanmyur station which shares the reference as an accessible point to the IT pride of chennai - the tidel park.It is suffice to say that this station is the filthiest one any modern man would have encountered and I am sure my photos will corroborate it .
It’s indeed unbelievable to realize the fact that this station doesn't have a single "Waste bin" on either of its platforms. With a stock pile of litter at various pockets, it’s a heaven for mosquitoes and probably rodents. To add colour to this, the entire station is patterned with paan spitting.
There also seem to be stations where the “Waste Bins” are provided but not regularly cleaned up, resulting in garbage collection in and around the bins. Even the few lot of people who are very particular about throwing the waste in the bins get agitated with the very sight of such negligence in the clearance of garbage bins.
I travel along the Thiruvanmyur - Beach belt and most of the stations do have bins and are fairly well kept with the exception of Thiruvanmyur. I believe its sheer ignorance on the authorities to provide "waste bins" and probably a few boards advising commuters to keep the station clean, else I am sure we are on the right track towards bagging the Nobel Prize for filth.
Would appreciate if you could act ,atleast now.

Railways — INCONVENIENCE BECAUSE OF LESS SPACE IN SIDE BERTHS
During the tenure of Laluprasad Yadav as railway minister 3-tiered side berths were introduced in second class sleeper coaches and later on the middle berth in the side was removed. But after removing the side middle berth railways have not brought down the upper side berth to its original position causing very little space between the berth and the roof. This results into squeezing the person into the berth causing suffocation and very much inconvenience. As the lower side berth is divided into two RAC passengers they put their luggage beneath the side lower berth. The passenger having upper side berth has neither room for him nor for his luggage. The railways charges full fare for the side upper berth but the discomfort is tremendous.I hereby request the railways to bring the side upper berths in the second class sleeper coaches to its original position causing enough space for the passenger. Else Public will have to drag the railways in the consumer courts for deficiency in service.

Sir,I am a resident of Darjeeling.
Toady, dated 05th of January 2010, I had been to the railway station to book 2 tickets from Yeshwantpur to Howrah for me and my father in the Duronto Express on 17th January 2010.
As my father is a senior citizen and a kidney patient, I asked for the recession which I was to get on him being a kidney patient,
but I was denied my right.
I told him about the law and also shown him the fully signed and stamped certificate which I had received from my the hospital where my father is being treated, but he simply did not listen to me.
As such I had to book the ticket from the internet paying nearly a sum of Rs.6200.
This caused me a lot of inconvenience.
I hope you will take proper measures to rectify this grave problem.

This is in regard to ladies seats reserved for lady commuters. I am a daily commuter of BEST bus. I enjoy travelling by BEST buses. The only thing that hurts me is lack of civic sense among men passengers who occupy ladies seat and keep sitting even if a lady is standing just above their head. Ladies I believe don’t want to make an issue of that so they keep standing and don’t ask men to vacate ladies seat. This again is unacceptable. Conductors may be busy in their job don’t pay attention to this. No commuter even utters a single word about this uncivilized act of men commuter.I request BEST authorities to please look into the matter seriously and restrict men occupy ladies seat under any circumstances. Even when its unoccupied or occupied by one lady only as this also discomforts, we sit on ladies seats because we don’t want undue touch of any men. Please let us enjoy our freedom as women.

Railways — Attrocious service & inadequate facility in A/c coach
Dear concerned,Train No. 2791, Sec-bad - Varanasi express was introduced to cater to the need of the passengers. when Mr. Lalu prasad yadav tool charge as Railway minister, the train was extended up to Rajendra nagar (Patna). Right from the inception of this train, the running schedule, was never intended to be followed once the train use to enter Allahabad and onwards till Patna. I understand that this train has elevated as Super fast train recently, but surprisingly it is worst than a passenger train.
I got my ticket reserved on[protected] at about 1540 hrs for 5 members of my family vide PNR no. [protected] from Sec'bad to Buxar for our journey dtd. 13.1.2010. the name of the passengers are as follows :
1. N K Pandey 47 M
2. Vijaylaxmi 41 F
3. Namrata 16 F
4. Tarini 11 F
5. Ashish 09 M
The boarding time at Sec'bad station is scheduled @10 am in the moring and arrival time at buxar is scheduled at 4.38 pm in the evening. The train is started almost on time from Sec'bad and though it was entroute but covered the original schedule in between but when it was about to reach Allahabad i.e., 3 KM away from Allahabad Jn. it was detained for about 1 hr. 40 mts for no proper reason. the schedule stopage at Allahabad is around 20 to 30 mts, but train was unnecessarily stopped for 1 hr 15 mts. On enquiry from the Railway official at Allahabad station, i was informed that there was absolutely no conjestion either at the outskirt or at Allahabad station and the officials on duty are only to be blamed for their total carelessness and negligence in regulating the arrival and departure of the train.
I was to my shock and surprised inform that the officials do their personal work go for lunch or breakfast for hours together take sunlight in winter season and involve in unnecessary gossipping and discussion which really affects the schedule of the train. All this nonsense starts only from Allahabad onwards till Patna, which is worst.
THIS TRAIN IS NEVER ALLOWED TO RUN ONTIME BOTH UP AND DOWN AND DESPITE MARATHON JOURNEY OF MORE THAN 30 HRS, WHICH IS PURELY ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE OFFICIALS OF THE RAILWAY WHO FEELS MORE SECURED AT THEIR WORKPLACE AS NO ACTION IS BEING CONTEMPLATED FOR NOT MAINTAINING THE SCHEDULE OF THE TRAIN.
The train which was supposed to reach Varanasi at about 2 pm on 14th Jan'10, which happend to be the festival day i.e., Makara Sankranti, reached Varanasi at around 6.15 PM and being with the family I could not dare to go to Buxar and got down at Varanasi and stayed with my relative in such a biting cold with my 3 minor children, causing enough inconvenience and difficulties, which cannot be described. I understand that this train reached Buxar at about 9.30 pm that too in a winter season, when the cold was at its climax. I had to attend to an important function, which i missed on 15th.
I was allotted birth in Coach No. B2 (birth no. 1 to 5) where electric plug was not working besides the non operational of fans. Foul smell was emanating from both the toilets and the condition of coach was pathetic. My costliest travel bag was damaged by the rats in the Compartment besides the regular movemnet of cocroaches disturbing the sleep and other movements within the coach.
IT IS FURTHER MORE SURPRISING THAT TIMING OF THIS TRAIN FROM 10 PM TO 10 AM UNNECESSARILY WHICH IS CAUSING MORE INCONVENEINCE AND DIFFICULTIES AS IT NEVER MAINTAIN SCHEDULE AND REACHES THE DESTINATION AT ODD HOURS THAT TOO IN A STATE LIKE BIHAR. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE CHANGE OF THE STATUS OF THE TRAIN AS THE STEP MOTHERLY TREATMENT IS BEING CONFERRED TO THIS TRAIN.
In view of the above, I tentatively lodge a monetary claim of Rs. 2,50,000/- on behalf of all my 5 family members for the damages, mental agony, stress and stain etc. and reserve my right to increase the same at the time of filing the final complaint, if this amount is not paid. Pl. treat this e-notice as a Notice U/S. 80 of Civil Procedure Code.
I also request you to ensure that the long journey trains like the present one is given top priority to maintain the schedule and also issue necessary directions to all the intermediary stations more particularly, Allahabad, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Patna etc. to maintain the schedule at any cost or else they should be suspended pending enquiry before final termination.
I hope wiser counsel will prevail on all the concerned employees of Railway and they would see reason in the matter and in the interest of public at large.
Pl. arrange to remit my claim amount immediately.

I am a student trying to get back home on Holi. Not sure about my holidays early enough, I decided to book my ticket in the Tatkal quota. Now I sat down for booking at exactly 7:55 am(on 23th Feb for the train on 25th Feb) on the internet on the so called irctc website. At exactly 8:00 the server was totally jammed and it took five minutes to log in. Then further five minutes to load the train details and at exactly 8:15 there was 22 waiting list available.I thought I shall book the next day. Now this is the third day today and I finally booked my ticket that too 32 waiting list in Tatkal in some other train. Eventually I know I will have to suffer. Leaving that apart Now my question is Y does Railways bring up something that it just cant handle itself ?????One server operating for over 20 million users of Internet in India does not seem fair .Rather the whole idea of booking seems unfair to me . 216 tickets go away in 15 minutes that too in a train operating for a very short distance. Such a huge industry like railways should have a proper network in place. It is really a shame for all operating such a network if a user takes 5 minutes to just login. Dont know who railway has hired to handle its networks ????? Maybe someone who did it at the cheapest . Imagine you trying to log into your facebook account and it takes 5 minutes to login. You would perhaps never login next time and switch to some other site. But ofcourse everyone knows this wont happen.(Bet Facebook has more users than irctc.in)

I was travelling with 2 of my friends on 31st March 2010 by train number 0866 vide my PNR number [protected] ( Secunderabad to Rajahmundry, 2nd AC). I got up after couple of hours of journey and asked the attendant the name of the station at which the train stopped. There were 3 attendants in that compartment and they were taking alcohol. One of the attendant abused me in vulgar language and threatened to manhandle me. We were surprised at his behaviour and asked the TTE to give us complaint register to lodge our complaint and he did not give.

sir i am SGT KN Rao serving Defence personnel presently in posted Chennai, I took concession form 1707R both for my wife and dependent mother from chennai to ongole and they commuted from chennai to ongole with out any difficulty ,while returning to chennai when my wife approached reservation counter in ongole,they refused to resrve tickets on 1707R (Warrent) stating that we should possess the lower portion of warrent... but we didint get ant such warrent lower portion from earlier ticket reserve counter( tambaram chennai) its self explanatory that party warrent (1707R) on exchange we dont receive any lower portion for further return journey because on printed ticket they already mentioned check soldier ticket and validity of ticket ( PNR no.[protected]. My wife was ill treated by the resrvation counter people of ongole station ,very funny thing this was not even justified by the station master ongole when approched twice in two days,, sir i would like to inform you regarding this lack of courtesy by reservation counter staff ongole and i am forwrding a copy of this letter to cheif commercial manager sir for redressal.. thanking you..Railways — change of Boarding Point

In guwahati rajdhani there is small quota for katihar and othes stations like guwahati, New jalpaiguri and kishanganj are inone large quota because of which passengers of katihar find it difficult to get confirmed tickets and because of small quota waiting list tickets also fails to get confirmed. so please remove this quota system or expand the quota pls increase frequency between Badlapur to CST Mumbai and from CST to Badlapur in peak hours.Atleast 10 min. per local and Extend Ambernath local to Badlapur.

I agree with the above complaints as the people of bhiwandi are facing lots of problem in public transportation from long time.
Railway staff — Misbehaviour
Dear Sir,On 20/11/10 at 11:15am I went to Vidyavihar east Local ticket counter for Ticket, there was a big queue, finally after half an hour my number came, I give him Rs10 & ask for a ticket of Sion, Sion fare is Rs 4/-. He ask me four rupees change, I told him that I don't have change, He rudely told me that if you want ticket than bring Rs4 change. I requested him finally i told him that i will complain against you than he told me do what ever you want. After asking his name he told me only his surname (Kadam)
Request you to pls. look into this matter & take necessary action this type of railway staff.

Railways — facilities / improper parking at panvel stn
the parking of vechiles in panvel rly station mainly at new panvel side is very bad. yhe road is narrow. the parking is quite un orgainsed, & make difficult to enter/ exist via FOB . the parking chrges are also very high. the monthly rly pass is less than parking charges. the rly authrities should personally visit the facts there.persons with luggage/ old age persons / sick persons can't walk/ climb in that area.

dear sir,1 my name is amit singh and my no is [protected].
2 on 22nd of dec i went to railway station gorakhpur cantt to get my reservation done.there is the provision of two resvn windows at the station out of which only one was manned and on other there was no one because of which there was a long queue.
3 when i went to enquire about this ,there was a person reservation incharge mr P K SINGH (cs)at the station who started shouting i tried to calm him but he did not. he told we work likethis and said go and file the complaint whereever u want and no one can do any thing to me.he called all the people working there and formed a group and said there are all this people who will support me and witness against u. i am surprised to see the soladiraty of the railways employees to stand together for a wrong cause.
4 when i told him that i am also a gazzetted officer in army his response was more amazing that is he care a damn about railway gazzeted officer so i who are u to me.
5 sir we are consumers and and we pay for the services . its not about me but it was about all those ppeople standing there in queue despite having two windows.
6 people probably in govt services has started hinking that nothing can be done to them ,whether they work or not there job is secure....and i am sorry to state that if a person does not want to work but atleast he has no right to insult some one he shold be polite but i think its asking for too much.

Respected sir,while i was booking ticket by online IRCTC my money got transfered but my ticket was not booked due to service error on[protected] in GENERAL QUOTA from Chennai Central(MAS) to Sankaridurg(SGE) on 16669/YERCAUD for the date of journey was[protected] and again it was happened to me on booking IRCTC on[protected] in TATKAL QUOTA from Chennai Central(MAS) to Sankaridurg(SGE) for the date of journey was 1-5-2011 which again my money was transferred but my ticket was not booked due to service error.

Railways — refund not received for cancelled train
sir,I have booked 2 tickets in AC II through travel agent M/S Reliance business centre dehradun to travel from Dehradun to Kathgodam by 4120-DDN KGM EXPRESS.date of journey 19.09.2010,PNR [protected] & Tran ID [protected]. Due to heavy rain the said train was cancelled on 19.09.2010 from Dehradun.our travel agent wrote various letter/mail to refund the entire amount of Rs.1192/-.irctc has been assigned ID no IRCTC#2096911 & whenever he write for refund,the auto genrated reply for ID information given to him by irctc.Due to delay in settlement our refunds is pending & it overdelayed as more than 8 months have been passed.I request you to refund Rs.1192/- with interest at the earlist otherwise I have go to consumer court for which IRCTC & Indian railway is reponsible. Sir, We request u to plz forward this msg. to arrange frequncy between Bhiwandi-thane Rail route...

Sir, We request to log a complaint to rail athourity For nt taking any lead in arranging train rail route from Thane-Bhiwandi which is clearly possible., we as a student and as a proffesional struggle a lot,There are many people like me and it seems no hope rather to complain..We travel only by TMT or ST buses that too full of crowds and awaiting long time due to heavy traffic...at purna(Bhiwandi) to anjurphata..

Railways — Worst Facility in Triplicane station
I am Dwarakanathan, a resident of Triplicane( noted to be The Heart of the Chennai City) and i am writing this mail seeking some immediate action for a common issue. I use the train to commute to my office and hence I have to use the Triplicane Railway station. Please find the pictures i have attached with this mail.Can a railway station be maintained like this? Everyday more than 1000 people use this station( an approximate statistics), and look at the facility provided. This is causing immense trouble for a LOT of people, wherein i am just a rerpresentative of a million people, Do notice the 'small way' which everyone use to get inside the station road, where there is such a BIG iron gate which is locked.
Do notice that there are few people who violate the laws and use it as a public toilet(yes, people should change, but i think that a cleaner place would prohibit them from doing so'.
Do notice that a few cows have been tied inside.
Do notice the poor state of a station which is very frequently used.
There is a koovam river which runs through that way, which all the more adds to the vows.
How much will it cost to clean the place and make it green by planting a few trees( there are a few trees inside, but need maintainence). ?
I sincerely hope that the necessary steps will be taken soon,
Indian Railways — Gap between train and platform
Hi,I would like to highlight the big gap between the platform and trains at mumbai local stations, I have seen at Grant road, Bhandup station and Dadar station. People's life are at risk specially during peak hours. If some one slips and falls in the gap while boarding the train who is responsible for that. I have read in the newspaper already about such incidents.
Pls raise this matter with concerned authority, tomorrow some one from our own family and friend may fall in the same gap.

Please refer to our earlier emails on cancellation of I ticket by railway staff instead of issuing a fresh ticket with reduced fare and refund of difference in fare.
In spite of my repeated attempts I could not able to get any positive response from your side or from railways. In fact I gave one letter to railways requesting them to allot berths in EQ which was also not considered. Finally I got only RAC for one passenger out of 4 and others were in waiting list in the final chart. We were trying to get the status of ticket throughout the previous night of journey and at 4.0 AM we got the news that only one passenger was in RAC,
Since I made all the arrangement in Agra and Delhi, I could not afford to drop the program and also this tour was planned by our friends group of 4 families. So we boarded the train and requested the ticket examiner explaining every thing. finally after 8 hours of journey, he was kind enough to allot III AC births ( My tickets are for II AC births).
We were made to face all these hardships and mental agony purely on the lapses of railways. Even after repeated requests through email and direct correspondence, the railways have not acted promptly to rectify the deficiency in their service (at least at the last moment) and if fact I did not get any kind of reply from you so far.
You are again requested to go through my earlier emails and inform me the action taken at your end. Suitable compensation shall be given to me for all the monetary losses, mental agony for the poor services of railways which made our leave travel as miserable one.
Kindly inform us the contact person of railways to take up this, if this is not concerned with IRCTC,

In spite of our best efforts, we could not get any ticket to Delhi ( II A/c) by rajadhani on 02.05.2008. Now, we cannot even book a flight for less than Rs 5000/ per person ( Which was only Rs 3000/-, when we booked the above railway tickets). The tickets were cancelled without our consent and due to pure negligence on the part of railways. We booked the tickets well in advance only to get comfortable travel in a group.
I request you to look into the careless act of railway clerk and Re-issue the tickets with the same berths on the same day.
Your prompt reply and action will relieve us from unwanted mental agony.

If 4 tickets has been booked before 1 month and confirmed but one of them will intend to cancel from those 4nos in a single ticket then what will be the other 3 Nos status . Whether the beath /seat become unchanged for those 3. or new seats will avail for them.

Concession for Doctors
Dear Sir/Madam
This is to bring to your kind notice the existing lacunae in your department which has led to inconvenience and monetary loss to us on several occasions. This is an incident of the Manak Nagar Reservation Counter, Lucknow (Date: 27/04/08, Time: 10.42 am). We are doctors registered under the Indian Medical Council. We are entitled to 10% concession on the fare according to the concession rules available on the website. We asked for the concession from the booking clerk (Smt. Chitra) who was on duty at that moment. She refused to give us the same on the grounds that she had no knowledge of the concession rules. On insisting she asked us to wait for the supervisor (Shri. R. Banerjee) who was not available on the duty at that time. In the mid afternoon, after standing in the queue for an hour we had no patience and energy left for the same. Therefore we came back paying the full fare for the reservation. This had happened before also but we had ignored the incident but the insolence of the staff has forced us to take this step. Hope you would look into the matter and relieve us as well as others of the similar problems.

Therefore we came back paying the full fare for the reservation. This had happened before also but we had ignored the incident but the insolence of the staff has forced us to take this step. Hope you would look into the matter and relieve us as well as others of the similar problems.

shame on railways concessional schemes for doctors and on the people who hav made there schemes. U r offering only 10% concession to us and that also after so much of documentation which is so harassing that no one would like to go for it as for a 400 rupees ticket we r getting only 40 rupees concession which is nothing and above that u r asking us to carry all equipment . We feel happy and its our duty to serve any person getting ill during the journey and we ll continue our support and services to humanity all over the world. So pls stop dis-gracing this profession by offering such kind of schemes Which has on value Thanx

I have travelled in the Train rajkot Express from bhopal to narsinghpur as well as i come hoshangabad station then a kinnar come ther and he is take mony every people inleagly and he have no ticket and there is no TC to check the Tickets and when I having Discussion with them came to know that many people are traveling without Ticket and it is their routine job like this. so hope some rail authorities will take care of this so that lots of Government Income is going vane.
