Respected sir
I am a student of cbse class 12th and concluded with my maths exam 2 days ago. Yes, I am one of those students whom leaders like you call the FUTURE of the country and also whose FUTURE has been played with.
The cbse maths paper this year was the toughest in the history of cbse (had solved last 10 year papers), ok accepted, but it was also very lengthy and technically impossible for ORDINARY student to think out and complete the paper in the given 3 hours. The HOTS(high order thinking skills) were supposed to constitute 10-20 % of the paper and turned out that it was almost 50% of the paper. If the pattern was to be changed so much, why wasn't it reflected in the sample paper provided by the boards. Here's the link to it-

You may have a look at the question paper of the exam. I cannot provide it as I have already torn away the paper. And if so much was to be changed, why didnt cbse change the prescribed books from NCERT to those fat books in the market. We would have religiously done them( anything for OUR FUTURE). We are no more going to recommend our juniors to study from the NCERT which was supposed to be our bible. Heartbreaking it is...
The linient checking system would do no good to most of the student as the paper was not even completed by most o[censored]s. Cbse has done nothing but promoted the so called coaching culture that we all have moved to. Even i am a part of a coaching institute(paid 2 lakhs for 2 year.. a very good amount of my parents income). Yes, i did prepare for the JEE, but we all had faith in the cbse and did NCERT religiously in the last 3 months. And this was not the platform to test our competitive skills. The paper setter might be some sort of a genious but atleast should be considerate of the students. And yes, the paper shattered me, it was life ruining. This is the very platform for our future and cbse has really played very well with it. My friends call me the most cheerful and optimistic guy they have seen.. And now i feel like jumping of the top floor of my building.
I cant even imagine the case of arts and commerce students who had not prepared for such competitive exam.
The paper would easily bring down our percentage and our hopes for NIT's are completely shattered(remember about your another 40-60 rule).
Now the next option for me is a drop of year (and then those fat books) and ofcourse a coaching class(yes, another 1 lakh deal).Happy to have your service tax??
Thanks for ruining our year(or rather our life).
And yes, WELL PLAYED CBSE
