I have a airtel broadband connection tel:[protected].
I had taken the connection under the 770/- 8gb download plan with a wireless router which was password protected.
Suddenly, last month I received a massive bill of ~28, 500/-(showing almost 49GB of downloads).
I had contacted Airtel chennai through the necessary channels, viz, 1st the customer care, then the customer relationship centre, and then the Nodal officer.
No one has ever arrived at my home to check the line to see if there is a leakage of connection(as I was told, which might be the case, by the airtel officials in the relationship centre and the Nodal office in Chennai).
I had also provided my system's mac Id(Physical address) and asked for the usage details against my system's physical address, for which there was a request id raised, but no one showed up or called back.
Upon visiting the Nodal officer's office, the lady who spoke to me, said, the bill would be re-worked according to a higher end plan. Which was never done, and I had been pounded with telephone calls by airtel's billing department, asking me to pay the billed amount.
Right now I had to move out of Chennai, and not sure how to tackle the issue from outside Chennai.
Please assist.
