unable to make/receive calls

I am having a prepaid airtel connection number [protected]since last 3-4 years. Now I am unable to make or receive any calls via this lifetime sim . I cannot even contact customer care through my phone. An early action in this context shall be appreciated....

The airtel mobile signal is weak in this area, the calls keep disconnecting.

This adds a charged call for every UNcompleted conversation, Is this a way to earn more ?

If airtel really cares for the customers ...
take corrective steps to increase the signal strength
or
charge as per actual talk time and not per minute.

It is not difficult to shift to another mobile operator for good service.

    Sir,
    I am using Airtel conection [protected] from last about three years. I have never activated any service on my connection. I have not used my no becoz I was out of station & it was lost in May'09 I have ressued the same no through duplicate sim. But from last many days my prepaid balance deducting automatically Rs. 10/- per day for which I try to complaint on 121 many times but this service is also not working on my connection. After that I took the another no 936 from on 3-4th July & talk to the executive who told me that he couldn't check the detail right now then I asked him to stop the service if it is activated on my connection.He told me send the message 'Stop' on 121. I send the same message & I got reply throgh '1210' no "there is no serivce activated on your mob' & 'if you start the serive send Start on '121' within 5 min I again send the message 'Stop' to 121.

    But on 5th August my balnace again deduct by Rs. 10/- . I again complaint on 936. There one customer executive Suprna attend the call & she told me the amount is deducting against downloading but that time my sim was on NOKIA 1100 how is it possible I asked to her but she can't give the clearance & also any solution to stop the problem. After that I check my message inboxt there is "Airtel WAP service of cricket" agaist which my balance Rs. 10/- is deducted on 4th August & also from last month regularly

    After 5 minutes all serivces like Hello tunes, Astology, Freindship started on my no. without my permission & also deduct Rs. 30/- for which now my balance is -30 right now.

    Please rectify my account & recover my balance from last months

        my complaint is against airtel dsa department in surat.i had receive a new plan on new airtel postpaid connection from mr. dharmesh mobile number [protected] who is working in airtel postpaid department.when i requested him to get a new airtel postpaid card.he asked me for my documents and my photo with 500 rupees deposit.now i already waiting for my postpaid sim.but airtel company sent me a mobile bill of amount of 1045.78 rupees.my airtel bill number is[protected].how it is possible that i not used the new number and company sends me the bill.when the company telecaller asked me that sir have u got ur postpaid sim card properly at that time i said still not.then how the company says that i used the sim card.if the company wants to know the call detail the company can call every number of this bill and can ask that is anyone knows me? and can verify that anyone of in this bill is in touch with me?now the company is sending me legal notice to pay the bill.when i contacted mr dharmesh mobile number [protected] he said me that someone ranbeer(karan) named his friend used my sim card and he is ready to pay my bill.but now i m in trouble, someone can use my sim card without my knowledge and on my documents, then what to do against the company and its postpaid department.i checked my friends opinians about this.they all are saying that this is common in postpaid in surat that the dsa staffs uses their position in airtel and makes profit for their frinend. the company can check this persons past record about his total given connection by him in surat.then company can understand his froud about the non paid connection in surat in his list. i want to compalint aginst him and the dsa of surat.they are making only money and putting someone in danger.if the terrorist will get this type of connection and will use it in some terrorist activity then who is responsible for this.so please do something in this seriuse matter.i am not only one person who is cheated by him.many persons are still paying such postpaid connection which is already used by someone who may be his friend and may be family member. my airtel number is [protected] and i have many of airtel prepaid connection in my family.so i requesting the airtel company's head department to stop and check about this type of froud against the customers.

          Respected Sir,



          I had a complaint against AIRTEL for my phone no: [protected]. Sir, case is like that I am working in DHL EXPRESS INDIA PVT LTD, as per our company policy all mobile bills should be in the name of company only. I put a request to Airtel Connaught Place office regarding the same. I filled a form to transfer it from my old address to my company’s address which is DHL EXPRESS INDIA PVT LTD: 71/3 NAJAFGARH INDUSTRIAL AREA RAMA ROAD NEW DELHI: 110015. I had submitted my office IDENTITY CARD and a NOC letter from my administration department stating that they don’t have any objection of getting the mobile invoices in their name, along with the form of Airtel. In my office Identity Card my address is written as of my Bombay address as my registered office is of Bombay.For that problem I had given a letter on my company’s letter head stating that this is my local office address so please make changes accordingly duly signed by my Administration department. But AIRTEL had refused to accept that and disconnected my phone no. After long discussion I again request appellate officer Ms Jyoti Rawat in AIRTEL regarding change of my billing address to my residential address if they can’t update my office address to my phone no. I had submitted my voter I- card to AIRTEL CONAUGHT PLACE office. Appellate officer takes action and change my office address to my residential address and I got confirmation from AIRTEL via SMS and Email that my address has been changed and now some one from AIRTEL will visit my residence and verify my ID. I receive this SMS on 5th Aug’09 and shockingly my phone was again disconnected on 5th aug’09 at 8:30 PM. I again called Airtel Customer care asking for reason of disconnection that again stating the same story saying that my office ID was not acceptable to them so please provide us a valid office ID. I can’t understand this if my address has been changed to my resident address then why they need my office ID. This is harassing me. I am facing lot of problem just because of AIRTEL. I am the Sales Manager in this company and I have this no for last 4 years. Now I can’t take new no as I had circulate this no to all my clients. I suffer a lot in my office work so I want a compensation of my time and work.

            Airtel tower is installed very near (0.5kms) from my home, but there is poor quality of network coverage

            I am employed with Everest Industries Limited having office at Mumbai. In or about Feb 2006, your marketing representative visited my Thane office and gave demo for the usage features of your card. While I was inquiring about the features of your card, your marketing representative obtained my signatures on some forms and obtained some documents from me for purpose of noting my name as “interested member” for filling inquiry form. Subsequently your Bank Credit Card bearing No[protected] was posted to me at my office address.

            I say that without my using your card, your Bank sent me statement for Rs.210/-.approximately. I say that I immediately called your customer care number putting forth my grievance and called upon them to cancel my card and terminate services with immediate effect. I also called upon them to sent me letter for “No claim”, to which they showed their inability and stated that same is granted only in case where there is any dispute above Rs.1000/-, however they assured me that card is cancelled and services are terminated. I say that subsequent thereof, I have not received any statement from your bank till date.

            I say that from last about 15 days, I am receiving sms from your bank for payment of Rs.4570/- towards aforesaid credit card pending bills. I had never imagine of such conduct from Big Banking Corporation like yours. I say that without usage of your services, how can I be made and forced to pay charges levied by you. I put forth my grievances with your customer care at Ram Maruti Rd branch, Thane who showed their inability to locate my bills and pending dues. They were also unable to provide me any Bank statement though I was ready and willing to bear the cost for same. I say that I also spoke to Mr.66667070 of your Bank collection centre at Mumbai,[protected] who responded to me rudely as if I am bring defaulter / criminal. I say that thereafter I spoke to your Delhi Recovery Cell at Telephone No[protected]/45023968 with Mr.Basant, who was also not able to resolve to my problem or provide me statisfactory reply.

            I called[protected]/67116251/67116115 no one response

            The said act of your to grab heavy & exorbitant amount from me for no fault of mine speaks of your volumes and attitudes to procure money by adhering to illegal means & making trap for the innocent customers like me.

            I am therefore now constrained to put forth my grievance in writing for necessary action and resolution of my grievance. Request you please look into this matter and advise what should be my next step.

                  I want immediate 'unsubscription' of your so-called text-based services which I haven't yet got. If you don't stop it immediately, be prepared for the legal prosecution, resulting into your paying heavily for that. Thanks and warm(?) regards.

                    Hi,

                    I had requested the airtel people to deactivate my connection, but they kept this number under custody for 3 months. After 3 months they called some person and activated the number again without my knowledge. Even they had never communicated to me that we are activating your number.

                    In the next month they debited Rs 219 from my account and now they are not refunding back that to my account.

                    They misused my ECS facility.

                      Dear Sir,

                      This is in reference to the Airtel Internet connection I had applied on 22nd July 09 for my residence through the authorized Airtel Sales agent (Bharathi Airtel Ltd.Guindy). I had selected Rs 598/= rental plan for Internet connection and paid Rs1000/= to Suresh, Michel([protected], [protected]).Internet Connection has not been provided to me till now and the sales agent does not respond to my call neither does his supervisor.

                      Moreover, I was promised that the connection would be activated within 48 hrs which took more than 10 days for the same.

                      Even though I had complaint to Airtel customer care and also enquiry section ([protected]), I didn't find any improvement to get internet connection.

                      Can I get internet connection immediately? Otherwise, I need Money What I paid Rs 1000/= for Internet connection.

                      I hope you do the needful steps for me as quick as possible.

                      Hi,

                      I have taken a Airtel postpaid in care of IBM manyatha before 15 days

                      As your collogue visited the place where i stay (i.e) 37 /E, 9th cross magadi road near water tank bangalore 23.

                      Then he came to my office on the same day (i.e) IBM India Pvt Ltd 3rd floor | C4-Block | Manyata Embassy Business Park |
                      Nagawara Outer Ring Road | Bangalore - 560045 he confirmed me the address verification is cleared.

                      3rd of August i called customer care (198) and confirmed the same from 4th again the outgoing is blocked this is the 3rd time
                      with in 15 days.

                      "NOW YOUR CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE SAYING THAT ADDRESS VERIFICATION FAILED"

                          hello sir,
                          i am from amravati, maharashtra

                          i was a prepaid customer since 2004 with mobile number [protected], but then in 2007 some promotional executive approached us and offered us a police plan 150 rental and airtel to airtel calling free,
                          as i was priviously a friends customer i was charged 10 paise/min so it was really an attractive offer 4 me, so i converted to this police plan rs 150 rent, and also took 2 connections for the family initially and then 6 more connections wi9thin a month after experiencing the benifits, and now its allmost 2 long years i have been using this postpaid plan, i even built up an airtel network in my whole family, as it was totally free for me to call airtel,
                          but all in vain, these airtel people cheated us by changing the plan abruptly,
                          suddenly since 1st july airtel changed all its police plan connections acccross maharashtra, giving an excuse of that company cannot offord that plan anymore..so the new charges are from free airtel to airte to 10 paise/min,
                          now 1st of all how can the company change the plan so abruptly, without any prior intimation, and we were promised at the time of taking new connection that postpaid plans never change,
                          but now as we dont have any proof of verbal promises, we are helpless and ditched from airtel,
                          its a sort of mental harrasment,
                          and if we continue using the same way we used to, we cant afford to pay such heavy amount,
                          we just want the changes made to the plan to be reversed...connections which were alloted 1yr after our plan are also still going on with 1500 minutes airtel to airtel free, but our plan has been changed...
                          i jst want the plan to be reversed or it should be converted to 1500 min free airtel to airtel Rs150 plan
                          coz now we all have airtel numbers in the family and you can v.well understand how difficult it is to change the numbers,
                          so this is just a torture/ fraud/harrasment from airtel,
                          nd if the company couldn't afford, why did it launch the plan...
                          i request an immediate action against airtel for this issue..
                          and i want free intercalling facility reactivated between my two numbers-[protected] and [protected].

                          plan charges changed without information

                          i am from amravati, maharashtra
                          my mobile number is [protected]
                          i am a postpaid customer since 3yrs with mobile number [protected] due to some promotional executive approached us and offered us a police plan 150 rental and airtel to airtel calling free,
                          but all in vain, these airtel people cheated us by changing the plan abruptly, suddenly since 1st july airtel changed all its police plan connections acccross maharashtra, giving an excuse of that company cannot offord that plan anymore..so the new charges are from free airtel to airte to 10 paise/min,
                          now 1st of all how can the company change the plan so abruptly, without any prior intimation, and we were promised at the time of taking new connection that postpaid plans never change,
                          but now as we dont have any proof of verbal promises, we are helpless and ditched from airtel,
                          its a sort of mental harrasment,
                          and if we continue using the same way we used to, we cant afford to pay such heavy amount,
                          we just want the changes made to the plan to be reversed...connections which were alloted 1yr after our plan are also still going on with 1500 minutes airtel to airtel free, but our plan has been changed...
                          i jst want the plan to be reversed or it should be converted to 1500 min free airtel to airtel Rs150 plan
                          coz now we all have airtel numbers in the family and you can v.well understand how difficult it is to change the numbers,
                          so this is just a torture/ fraud/harrasment from airtel,
                          nd if the company couldn't afford, why did it launch the plan...
                          i request an immediate action against airtel for this issue..

                            I am customer of Airtel since April 2004, mobile [protected]. I submitted all my documents (Passport Photograph, identify proof & address proof) along with completed Airtel mobile connection form to Airtel at the time of activation of my mobile number more than 4 years back. It was followed by verification by Airtel representative to ensure details submitted were correct. Around 18 months back (sometime in the year 2007) I received message from Airtel that I am suppose to re-submit my documents since the Airtel database was not showing it. I re-submitted all the documents with the Airtel Galleria DLF Phase 4 Gurgaon center. I dully completed the all the required documents required by the Airtel twice. I am residing at the same address when I took connect back in 2004 so there has been no change in any of my information per documents that I submitted with Airtel twice.


                            On 28th August, 2009 I again received a message from Airtel demanding for the required documents (Passport Photograph, identify proof & address proof) & my outgoing calls were barred. I went to Airtel, Galleria DLF Phase 4 Gurgaon Franchise & spoke to Airtel representative, Pramood. He checked my account & confirmed that my address & other piece of information were up-to-date in database but had no explanation of demanding the documents again.

                            I have written email to Airtel Nordal Officer & Appellate Team, I told them that I am open to submitt my documents again but I should receive acknowledgement from Airtel that they have received all documents so that I am not harrassed again. But they are denying acknowledgement & also mentioned that Airtel can demand documents again anytime even though customer submitted them at time of activation, this is ridiculous.

                            Would appreciate if you could look into the matter immediately as my out going calls are currently barrred.

In or about Feb 2006, your marketing representative visited my Thane office and gave demo for the usage features of your card.                               I say that without my using your card, your Bank sent me statement for Rs.210/-.approximately. I say that I immediately called your customer care number putting forth my grievance and called upon them to cancel my card and terminate services with immediate effect. I also called upon them to sent me letter for “No claim”, to which they showed their inability and stated that same is granted only in case where there is any dispute above Rs.1000/-, however they assured me that card is cancelled and services are terminated. I say that subsequent thereof, I have not received any statement from your bank till date.

                              I say that from last about 15 days, I am receiving sms from your bank for payment of Rs.4570/- towards aforesaid credit card pending bills. I had never imagine of such conduct from Big Banking Corporation like yours. I say that without usage of your services, how can I be made and forced to pay charges levied by you. I put forth my grievances with your customer care at Ram Maruti Rd branch, Thane who showed their inability to locate my bills and pending dues. They were also unable to provide me any Bank statement though I was ready and willing to bear the cost for same. I say that I also spoke to Mr.66667070 of your Bank collection centre at Mumbai,[protected] who responded to me rudely as if I am bring defaulter / criminal. I say that thereafter I spoke to your Delhi Recovery Cell at Telephone No[protected]/45023968 with Mr.Basant, who was also not able to resolve to my problem or provide me statisfactory reply.

                                I have purchased Airtel data by paying RS3000+RS1000 as security deposit, Airtel promised me high speed perfomance depending on the network coverage, But eventhough the Network Range shown is full the perfomance is very bad, only 0.056kb/s is the download range, this is a total misguide from Airtel as on what they have promised Initially . Moreover my card services were deacvtivated due to some disceprancy in the internal procedure of Airtel. When i contacted the Customer care from Airtel they say everything is ok from their end and the services have been barred from field airtel employees, but when i contated the airtel dealer office who is in direct contact with field employees they wash their hands by saying all is ok from thier end and i need to contact the customer care, i am calling the customer care almost daily and no body is responding properly to my querry, moreover as i have a fix billing i will be charged at the end of the month eventhough i am not using the service ? This is not correct .

                                  I have a sim issued for main use in the state of kerala. However I mainly use the sim on roaming. I have no std connection in my house (kerala), hence I had resorted to this option so that people can call me directly from home in case of emergency. I work from chennai, and use the sim there most of the time. On saturday (1st augutst 2009) I had around Rs. 250/- to spend on boosting my talktime. The shopkeeper wasn't sure if I could do a top-up for rs.250, so he had asked me to confirm with the customer care.

                                  I dialed 121 and reached the chennai customer care unit. On the call I had specifically mentioned that my sim was a "kerala sim" and it was on roaming. He immediately replied that he wouldn't know about any offers to my number. Since I wasn't interested in any offers I explained to the agent that I had a max. of Rs.250 to spend; what is the max amount I can do a top-up for within this range. The agent replied that I could do an ec-recharge for rs.250, and I'd get a talktime of Rs.224 (approx).

                                  However on doing the recharge I got only Rs.1 talktime. On calling the chennai customer care unit again I was asked to call the kerala customer care. I did so and learned that there was such a offer prevailing on my home network wherein you'd get Rs.400 worth local airtel-to-airtel calls. However I did not receive any sms pertaining to this offer from my home network prior to the day of recharge.

                                  Later I posted my complaint to the airtel customer care email unit ([protected]@airtelindia.com). In their initial response they said that the recharge has already been credited to my account. They even mentioned that the 121 service won't work since the sim was on roaming. The email also mentioned that if I wanted to get talktime I had to do a recharge with RC 12 RC 30 RC 50 RC 150 and RC 155. Since I was in doubt if the shopkeeper had done the recharge correctly I went on to ask if the previous transaction was a normal recharge or top-up.

                                  Their second response was exactly same as their first one. I again responded to them back sternly saying that I did not receive a proper answer to my question. Moreover I did ask them about the talk-time recharge options they mentioned in the previous mail. When I asked the customer care agent about the max value I can do a top-up to (within Rs.250) he disclosed an incorrect information. He said that I can do a top up of Rs. 250. I again asked him if this can be done via the ec-recharge way. He said yes, it was possible.

                                  Had the correct information been conveyed to me in the first place I would have had all of this. I asked them to kindly give me the talktime or the equivalent amount via suitable means. I even said that if I received another copy-paste response I'd escalate it to the consumer court. This is not a threat; it was my right.

                                  In their 3rd email response they were quite persistent with fact that the previous recharge has been credited to my account.

                                  I do deserve the talktime credit to my account, or the equivalent amount sent to me via a cheque to any banks payable from chennai.

                                    Then on 01/07/09 once again i lodged a complaint 22030616, wherein i received
                                    one more call from customer care stating to make observation for two to
                                    three day work is in progress and once the work is completed you will get
                                    a confirmation call. But as of today i.e after six days (07/07/09) still
                                    the problem persist and it was shocking to see the complaint no. 22030616
                                    closed from your side. Now I am literally fed up of writing these complaint
                                    and getting no response from your side and that too the site is not working
                                    properly one have to write complaint repetedly in reply we get a message
                                    o[censored]nable to process.



                                    I have been using airtel since three years and all my family members are
                                    using airtel and i am sorry to say if this is the response what you give
                                    to your customers then i dont have any option but to shut down all my airtel
                                    connection (4Nos) at a time and switch to some other operator.



                                    A positive step in this regard from your side would be highly appreciated.
                                    The type of problem faced by me is briefed below,



                                    Place- Room No. 122, Jewel Resort, Lonavala, Pune 410401.



                                    It is a company provided bachlor accomodation almost nil or less coverage
                                    in room have to go outside some where in open or in corridor to make a
                                    call.



                                    Call drop is frequent if you make a call from room

                                      I have recently switched my prepaid connection to postpaid connection (plan name : ALC MM 149 (MB) GPRS 199 Rental Unlimited download and surfing.
                                      I work for TCS E-Serve and Airtel representatives were distributing the schemes pamphelets for our employees.
                                      Since I am a Airtel prepaid customer from last 4 years I thought of switching the plan.
                                      After I submitted all my documents (valid) it was scrutinized by the Airtel representative and then after all the verification checking my line was activated.
                                      Documents submitted were: 1) Residence proof. 2) Sim card xerox (Prepaid). 3) Company ID Xerox 4) 1 Photograph.
                                      I was able to make calls for 3 days and suddenly one fine day my connection was stalled for documentation reasons.
                                      I called your Airtel customer service (121) which seems to be filled with ego-centric people who don¿t have courtesy to listen to the customers on their queries.
                                      Next day I called the Airtel representative ( Praveen ¿ [protected]) and told him about the issue and in reply he told me that he will solve it asap.
                                      I waited for 3 days and then Praveen told me that his work was done and he cant do anything now as my documents were not found in the database and he had no clue what was happening.
                                      He also told me that his superiors are also looking into this matter and he told me to speak to his manager Zainab who works in Airtel main office in Goregaon (e) location Silver building.
                                      I am sure people like Praveen do this kind of job as they are trained to do so.
                                      They meet their targets and don¿t bother if the customer can really use the service which Airtel is providing.
                                      I am not sure if there is any policy which mentions that if the documents are not correct then the Airtel has to call the customer and tell him that the documents are incorrect and the line will be disconnected till he submits the appropriate documents.
                                      I never received a call before the line got disconnected and when I called Airtel customer care they didn¿t tell me which of my submitted documents are incorrect.
                                      Airtel representative Praveen told me that he has submitted the documents to Main Office which is in Malad (west) location Mindspace and they too have no clue of what has happened to my documents.
                                      I am really not sure what has happened because at the end of the month I will be told to pay the bill for all those services which I have availed and not used.

                                      I went to a Airtel Gallery in Goregaon (west) and told them about this issue, they said that my documents were not valid and also that my billing date is on 5th August. I dont understand when my number got activated at 3rd week of July, how can they generate a bill on 5th August.

                                      The same thing is happening to me now. I submitted my documents in goregaon (w) to Jyoti and 3-4 days after my line activation the outgoing and then the incoming also got closed, its already been 3 days. I was told that the documents were not send properly. It seems this is quit frequent with these guys, they have such casual attitude. Why should we pay for some service we were unable to use? Can someone tell some responsible persons number or mail id so we can talk about this in detail?
