I have a two airtel post paid connection [protected], and [protected]. At the time of opening a post paid connection I receive the oral communication regarding airtel plan to airtel sales team member and I select a first number was under cug in Bharti Axa Group and second number was add-onn. I got a oral conformation regarding payment detail also. The first number plan is Rs.199 monthly rental plus 300 minutes free call mobile to mobile and 200 sms free. And second number plan (add-on) monthly rental is Rs.99 only and 100 minutes free call to any mobile. But the airtel sales team changing my plan without my knowledge against the add-on number. I am not finding in First month fill I found that error on second month bill.

8th jan 2009 I registered my complaint regarding wrong commitment provided by airtel sales team and I am asking rework on my bill. The complaint number is 20145743.
And I receive the airtel brand watch as a gift of opening an add-on number (but it is not working).
Before I talk to (121) airtel customer care, I thought the executive change my plan but after spoke to customer care I got the information plan is not changed, there is no plan like Rs.99 Add-on, and I got a clear conformation from airtel customer care airtel executive given a wrong commitment.
And I try to discuss regarding my problem to that particular airtel executive, but never attend my call
Now I am receive the legal notice from airtel. Because of legal notice I not able to work my job freely and affected in mental wise.

In legal notice they are given two contact numbers for any queries regarding the letter.the two numbers are [protected] and [protected] but both the number are not able to contact because two reason are 1. Not reachable 2. Nobody attend the call when the connection is not busy.

After some period I am sending mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com and I get reply from airtel but they are said your plan is Rs.149(Rs.99 for rental and Rs.50 for Unlimited cug). Actually I am asking Rs.99 plan without Cug plan.

And I given a clear information and picture regarding error to airtel but they are not accepting my point of view. And they are got the conformation to Executive, So they are always telling Rs 149 Plan is activated for you some times they are not sending any reply other than auto - acknowledgment. This is the issue I am not given any conformation to activate to Rs.149 plan.

After finding error I am not using [protected] this number. But they are send a bill to me for non-using month also.

      New connection — Plan selection

      Dear Sir,

My mobile no. is [protected]. I had applied for new post paid connection on 28.07.09 through your DSA Koosh Yash Communication, Munshi Pulia, Lucknow. I discussed with your representative for PLAN 400 Dobule and filled the same into the form & when i got the information about my bill they have applied a plan 699 instead of 400 double(which i clearly mentioned in my form). Please change this plan to 400 Double. It is your fault so i will not be bear any amount against this plan.,

Please find enclosed the receipt for your information.

      With regards

airtel postpaid connections — wrong communications about my no

      Dear Officer,

I was using the post paid connection of Airtel([protected]). in which due payment was 7214(approx).
This was due to my non employment. In the month of March , Mr. Sameer Malhotra([protected]) had called me up & said that he had waived off my late fine charges of Rs.500/- so please deposit Rs.6700/- asap to retain this number. Prior to this I had gone to Airtel relationship centre , Malviya Nagar, who told that my no is permanently disconnected. Mr Sameer assured me that he will start this no within 24 hrs. I gave his representative Rs.5000/- cash & cheque of Rs.1700/-of dated 10.04.10. Now neither my no get activated nor Samir is attending the call. So after several try to connect with Sameer, I am biased to drop this mail to you for justice.I have already stopped the cheque of Rs.1700/- also yesterday.

Request you to please provide me the same number because I have been using the same no for last 6 years.

      Thanks & Regards

At the time of opening a post paid connection I receive the oral communication regarding airtel postpaid 149 rental plan to airtel sales team member. The Plan was he told me is A to A = 30 paise/min, A + O= 30 paise/min and STD calls= 50 Paise/min. So I go with this plan and covert my prepaid Airtel to 149 rental Postpaid plan.

      After moves to postpaid, I have registered with Artel and check my call rates plan, the 149 rental charges seen as A to A = 40 paise/min, A + O= 50 paise/min and STD calls= 1 Rupees/min.

Both are totally different, This is totally unexpected. My mobile number is [protected]. If some will not take action for this from Airtel service then I will close my Postpaid connection and will no longer with this Airtel service.

      Thanks,

I am a user of Airtel Broadband Service at Chandigarh. I was until 15th FEB-09 using VOIP service provided by at www.joip.com (Globarange). But suddenly on the said day the voice portocol to the service as blocked. My VOIP service provider in response to my complaint gave me a written reply that there was blockage by my telecom service. I have since lodged several compliants with the Airtel Broadband Services, and they have deliberately pretended not have understood the problem. I evenprovided my username and password of the VOIP service to their local technical head but his attitude is also appaling and behaviou inimical towards the customers. I have forwarded the email of my VOIP service provider to Airtel but they have not responded. The Airtel is so callous that despite my repeated requests to terminate the connection they are not doing so. Should I go to Consumers Court to get restoration of blocked voice protocol service and for getting Airtel penalised for customer harrasment.

              Consumer complaints,

We are also an customer of Airtel and at our home we have 2 mobile prepaid Airtel lines. This is so ridiculous that every month, they start offering services on Mobile without consulting us and start deducting money. We have to always ask customer care to stop/discontinue this service. Many times we even could not reach their customer care. This is simply loot, they have millions of customer and looting they are making money from middle class, Why they didn't come to us and make paper work, signature and then they start deducting money??? this has to be the system. How without any prior permission from customer they are forcing their services on customer only for sec of making money...no body can justify this...

Without their top managers or management consultation, this could not be happen. Management is straight away involved in this such loot and this is not acceptable.

What is TRAI doing after so many complaint????? They seems to be not interested or they want to allow such loot!!!

Hope something will change and this will stop soon. Law please act.

I called the call centre on 4th to log in my complaint, which they did and till date are just calling me up and promising me that my problem would be resolved. Today I called up Airtel again ( and I have been calling them up on regular basis) and now they have given me a fresh date by which the problem would be resolved; and the date is 15th April 2009 (luckily not 2010)
I wish to discontinue the Airtel service nad get a refund on my installa tion and recahrge that I have paid. Can you help me???

                ---- Original Message ----

I had made a complaint yesterday regarding my set top box not recieving any

signals from 4th April 09 till the mailing of this message. The complaint id is 628331. I was promised that some one would attend to my problems on 5th April by 2 p.m. I am amazed by your service ! I got a sms from your 247 no saying

that my query has been resolved. I would like to know how? 1. When did your

tech come to my place? 2. Did he send you a report saying that all is well?
                3.
Does some one check with the cust before sending the 'query resolved' sms.
This is an epitome o[censored]nprofessional and negligent behaviour.
Pl discontinue my membership and refund my amount, if you take 2 and 3 days to resolve an issue. This is worst than the local cable guy.

                Airtel DTH — SERVICE DEFICIENCY

This is to inform all that I had been facing problems of not receiving HD channels. Though I have paid for 2 HD STB’s, it is a pity that no HD transmissions are available to me.

I have lodged complaints with Airtel DTH customer service and theyalways change the status of Service Request No’s to "resolved" without solving the problems. Given below are the service request numbers and its status –

Request No Opened Resolved Status as per customer
                6519225 1/4/11 9.54 a.m. 6/4/11 3:03 p.m. Not resolved
                6686995 6/4/11 6:50 p.m. 10/4/11 10:36 p.m. Not resolved
                6865593 12/4/11 8:28 a.m. - -

After the request number is registered sometimes one service engineer calls and tell us that he is going to visit the site but he never visits. Sometimes he visits without any equipments to do the work and promises to return to do the work and ever comes back.

Engineers who visited the site tell us that the dish has to be repositioned but they do not carry necessary equipments to do their work.

After few days of registering every complaint customer service executive calls and asks us if the problem is resolved. When we say it is not yet resolved he/she just close the service request and opens a new one. This way they show they have ‘done’ their work without doing it actually.

After getting fed up of the non co-operation from the local dealer , I finally contacted a executive from AIRTEL DTH office in Pune and asked him to look into the matter. He too promised me of immediate action. This too has not happened so far.

I have sent so many emails to their customer care that is just ignored by them.

If you are thinking of any sort of service from the DTH service provider please do not go for AIRTEL DTH.

They have outsourced all their work and you can not expect any service from them.

The only remedy that my advocate has suggested is to go to CONSUMER COURT and force AIRTEL for compensation.

Airtel gave a post paid connection to me in Mar 09 at Delhi with 12 months advance rental. They promptly stop outgoing one fine day saying that its Because my cridt limit of Rs 500 has been exceeded. I was never informed of this. When I checked up, for a 14 Apr due date I prepaid the amount of Rs 700 on 06 March 09 with assurance that all services ahall be restored. In the evening, When I checked personnaly at the Airtel office at DWARKA, now they said address verifaction has failed. By next day morning the connection had been terminated. Now I dont know what to do than move the court. I hope no other customer suffered like this.

                    Hi Mr Haider/Mr.Pathak

This is in reference to your e-mail dated March 16, 2009 and our telecon at 15:32 Hrs where in you had called me up from a landline phone i.e.,[protected].

Per your paragraph '2' "As per your telephonic conversation with the undersigned, we have pursued our record and found that the consent for the bill plan change to Airtel call at 1 plan chargeable @Rs.599/month was given on 30 November 2007 and the bill plan was changed accordingly. Hence we regret the infeasibility to reverse any charges."

I totally deny to the above statement "that a consent was given by me to change the bill plan at 1 plan chargeable @Rs.599/month on 30 November 2007".No such consent was ever given till date to change my bill plan.

Per Paragraph 3 "Reference to your complaint against our collection agency. We do understand your concern and how upsetting such a situation can be. We have always tried to ensure that our customers get the same feeling of quality service while transacting through any of our channels. We apologize for any inconvenience you have faced".

Further, on threatening calls from collection agencies to me and my family you had replied that taking action against Collection Agencies is your Internal Matter and you can't share that with me.

"Do Confirm understanding on the above"

The kind of irresponsibility and attitude you people have shown in replying to my queries was never expected and not at all acceptable.

It has been my bad luck that I had taken up the matter with you people keeping the faith that you might me the right approach but you proved me wrong.

It is disappointing to inform you that NO SATISFACTORY REPLY was given by you people and instead of resolving the matter you had always tried to get rid circumvent the facts and are encouraging me to take the matter to Higher Authorities

If you had gone through the entire details of the attached document (referred as Compliant Letter) in the e-mail addressed to you dated 20th January 2009, then you could have noted that there are other major concerns which I had highlighted and raised in the complaint letter which I guess either you had missed on or had ignored them and had constrained yourself posing my complaint as a simple‘bill Plan change issue”.

If you had gone through paragraph 4 and 9 of my complaint letter which itself clearly states that numerous calls were made to the customer care however no fruitful step were taken by customer care executive to resolve the issue

Further, without resolving the matter services (both incoming and out going) to the above stated number were barred by the Airtel. I got in touch with customer care executive numerous time and each time, as stated earlier it was assured that they will get back to me with in 24 hours of the call made /complaint registered and will resolve the issue but no heed was given to the calls made/complaints registered by me to either resolve the issue or activate and re-in-state the services on the above stated number (i.e., [protected]). Even I requested the customer care executive to send in some representative who is aware about the entire issue with whom I can discuss the matter same could the same could be resolved without further delay”.

BHARATI AIRTEL — Wrong billing and threatening

Firstly Airtel company executive bugged my wife to switch her pre-paid number [protected] to post-paid. She was told that under Future plan Rs.299 to be paid per month and 700mins of calls are free. The representative took the filled in form and the money for post-paid SIM and did not give the SIM at all. The billing started with no SIM being with us. After many mails and calls and paying another Rs.50 SIM was given.
After a month, we didnot receive any bill. On the last date of payment, received a SMS saying that day is last day and need to pay Rs.650 (approx). We checked the total call duration and found that it was less than 700min.
We mailed a complaint to the company and as usual no good response. However we paid Rs.299, as was agreed earlier. This happened repeated next month as well. And still no response from Airtel. So decided not to use Airtel anymore. Meanwhile Airtel disconnected the connection and asking us to pay around Rs.1500.
After this they started sending threatening SMS to my wife's sister, who is nowhere connected to this episode.

I checked with many of my friends and everyone had some story to say regarding post-paid billing by Airtel (and guess other operators too).

So, request all to be very careful and not given to the company reps.

I did not receive the itemized bill containing my call details for the past two months. I made calls to the customer care but it was of no use, though the they promised that it will be sent. I visited one of their branches along the Bannerghatta road twice regarding this issue, but it was in vain. I am not happy with their service. Please resolve this issue as early as possible.

                          Regards,

                                  Hi,

This is to inform you that I'm highly disappointed with your network.
I am using the number - [protected] which is actually on my husband's name Mr.Sudharsan Sankar.
He is in Philippines right now. I have been using this number since August 16th.
He is using the number [protected].
I'm facing the issue like whenever i try calling him I'm unable to reach instead the call clock shows 4 sec or 5 sec and
I could not reach him. I'm getting charged for all these. Whenever I have to call I have to try for 4 or five times
                                  and finally i get connected.
My messages also had not reached.
I complained this many times since august.
Recently on 21 feb I called them but nothing happened.
Then 2 weeks ago I called them While I was on call the person had disconnected the call.
When I called again, they claimed it was due to NETWORK problem.
This how airtel guys were trained if they are unable resolve customer's issue they simply disconnect
                                  without any notice.
On August I was promised that I will get a deduction of Rs200/- from my airtel bill.
So far that had not happened.
I have been paying my bills regularly through ECS.
I need an immediate response and solution for this.
When I call my husband's number on vodafone I happen to pay only 6 RS and the network also is very quick.
I want MY MONEY BACK I mean from august till today if I call him it will last for more than 1 min.
If it is less than 1 min, that is due to the network issue and that money should be reimbursed otherwise I will hsve to file a case against airtel network.
I called many times to talk to managers or at least the seniors. even today they have disconnected the call.
I'm highly disappointed with your network.
I want to know the reason also why they are disconnecting calls while the customer is on call??
If it is disconnected due to network we know how it will be.
This how airtel guys were trained. I dont want any apologies I need my money back and the reason.
When I called again yesterday, a person introduced himself as supervisor and told that airtel would not
erturn money for any such issues of STD and ISD and he also said my issue was resolved in February itself. I don't have any clue for this. If my issue was resolved already, why am I going to call this airtel guys nad waste my time?? This how airtel is cheating us.

                                  Complaint marked as Resolved
I'm a Sanjay Sharma and residing in Balkum, Thane. I have two Airtel postpaid connection ( [protected] / [protected] ).
From the 22nd June 2007 till date, I'm getting frequent network drop at my place (Virtually no network). Earlier their was strong airtel network and I was not having any problem.
Now my both mobiles is virtually in no range zone once I enter my house.
I had made a complaint about the network coverage issue in Thane's Airtel relationship center on 6th August 2006. They told me that the network problem will be resolved within 72 hours and I will get a call from airtel person. I didn't got a call from Airtel person nor the complaint has been resolved. when I check the status of the complaint, they had closed the complaint.
Subsequeltly, I have made a network complaints 4 times latest on 9th September 2007. But no resolution has been done till yet.

I registered my complaint once again and this time they called me and said that there is a building named "Marigo" somewhere in Balkum, were they had set up a cellsite and their representative had been there and resolved the issue.
In spite of this I'm not getting any network at my place. Again they had closed the complaint with any resolution.

No resolution is provided till date. I'm just thinking of changing the operator to Vodafone as there network are good and also giveng me an exiting offer.
First of all. Can somebody tell me how this site helps me? Is this an official site?

Coming to point, I have been facing problems with Airtel with respect to signal strength at my residence. Many time I don't get even one signal. I have given countless complaints and when nothing seems to be working I stopped paying my bills as I'm a post paid customer. They now say that issue is resolved or is in process of resolving but I asked for an email or letter explaining me what has been the problem and how they resolved it. And they are reluctant to do so and finally barred my outgoing calls. I warned them that if they don't release my outgoing calls, then I will throw the sim card and will not pay the due. In case I do that, they may try to take legal angle in such case how do I deal with this?
I'm a Sanjay Sharma and residing in Kadak Pada, Kalyan. I have one Airtel postpaid connection ([protected])
From the 16th August 2009 to till date, I'm getting frequent network drop at my billing place (Virtually no network).
I have frequently inform customar care of airtel aginst my complaint numbers 28988362 dated 5th Nov 2009, 29075041 dated 11th Nov 2009, 30566506 dated 21st Jan. 2009. Further I personally visited to air tel galary, station road, Kalyan (W) and inform about the problem faced by me about network coverage. Still date I not received any positive progress about my informed complients.

Finally i decided not to pay the bill unless the solution comes out. Each time during above complients same was informed time to time to constumer care executives of Airtel. Accordingly I not paid the for the month of January 2010 unless remedial soultion to my above said complient from Airtel. Also I informed them once my problem will be solved I will pay the due bill amount only (Not the delay or any other charges).

Now a days i am facing a new problem that the I received a reminder call from Airtel during when i am driving, meetings busy etc., and disturbing me again and again without any resolution from Airtel. Finaly due to such disturbace from airtel i finally in opinion that i will going to disconnet my present above said number.
                                  Hi,
This is Nihar Ranjan Barik holding two sim connection [protected], and [protected].

In my home I am facing acute problem of network.Initially when I took the connection it was some how manageable and problem was patchy, but after April (perhaps after airtel launched his own 3G network coverage in kolkata) is very very acute.

Each time I have raised a complain it has been turned down stating there is no issue and you need to check you set.

Couple of point I need to inform you that I am using 2 airtel sim in different phone set and both are having same issue.
Sims of other network is working fine and have superior connectivity.

Where Voice communication is a question mark in that case you can think of the 3g Internet connection .It of no use.
Each time I have to go out and need to talk on the mobile. It is very difficult to attain the office call and meetings.

                                  Reference call no:60907211

                                  Thanks,
                                  Nihar Ranjan Barik
