[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — No signal

I complaint for the No signal problem to the local office the compony the number was provided by the vendor of the product after complainting three time regularly the service engineer came and adjusted the disk,and charged money for that, as this type of service are servicable on company end, the componey is cutting money for the same period even I didn't avil the facility just becouse of componey's lazy service.
The management should think about all thease problems and the curtaiment for the period should be given back in form of recharge to maintain the faith of costumer. Otherwise the reputation of the componey will decay day by day.

Airtel DTH — reception is not coming from any channel

i comlaint to airtel custimer care at 12150 no on 13/2/10 at about 1 pm. i got a complaint no1945054 and given a time of 5.43 pm but till that time problem was not solved.I again contacted them and i was given a time of 10.40 am for next day i.e 14/2/10 at abot 2 pm i again contaced their super visor for the delay and i got a new complaint no,195228 and asked to contact local dealer at the phone no, [protected] he assured me that a man will contact you soon but today till 4.0 pm neither any message nor any men came and nor the problem is solved

i am not able to recieve signal on my digital tv and every time i call customer care they lodge a complain and tell me ur slot 4 d engineer is booked n he ll reach ur place 2morrow but no.{and some of complaint no.s given to me were 2228286,2216623,221148} one comes... now as i was not able to recieve signal i didnt recharged my account and my balance became negative and now i almost everday get call from company to recharge but how can i recharge unless i recieve..

Air-tel D TH — Charges, signal quality and customer service

Hi,

I have purchased Air-tel d th south-ultra pack few days pack. From then on hell broke loose. First the guy who fixed the dish told that it would take 24hrs for every thing to set and he will come afterwards to come and check whether everything is all right. Things didn't settle and he didn't come.40-50 channels where either not coming or braking off due to signal problem. Next, the top-ups which I requested weren't coming. And finally I get a message that my account is in negative even after paying in full. The package cost is Rs4290 on the net on the official Air-tel website, it was sold to me for retail price of Rs 4550, which is clearly evident on the big hording, on the air-tel d th vouchers and retail guys selling at that price.

Called the call center guy, They tell me that I have to recharge again or my connection will be disconnected as the info given to them says it is for Rs4950. Imagine the frustration of being told that, when there own website, hording, voucher and the retail guy say one thing and after buying and paying for a whole year. You are being told to chuck in more money or you will be cut-off.

After 20 heck tick phone calls of giving details and explaining everything repeatedly to different people. And after registering couple of complains ( got a message that the problem is solved while my connection was cut the same day) and asking couple of times to talk to there senior. I finally got to speak to their senior today. Only after I sat down from 5:00 in the evening continually calling them, speaking to different guys requesting to speak to their senior. Finally got to speak to their senior at 9:00 in the night. ' 4 hours of repeated phone calls and requests' to just talk to a senior. Will any guy buying a TV connection want to go through this. And one week of continue phone calls and a 4hr continue session, think you can get work done even in govt office in the good old days.

And you know what the funny part is. The problem is not yet solved, I only got a promise from the senior that it account balance problem would be resolved on '24hrs' (like his juniors repeated promises earlier). Only after which I had to register a separate complain each for signal quality and the missing channels.

So anyone buying an air-tel d th has to be ready for a long test match. Wait!!! did I say test match, that is only for max of six days. This is indefinitely longer, tougher, requires immense patience and you might hit the jack-pot couple of times of rude call-center guys.

BUT TILL NEXT DAY NO ONE CAME. ON 27.06.10 AFTERNOON 1500 HRS TWO TECHNICIAN CAME FROM DIGITAL TV. THEY TOLD OUS THAT MR. PRASHANT SEND THEM TO SHIFT ANTEENA. BUT BOTH WERE JUST DOING TIMEPASS. ONE TIME THEY TOLD ME THAT YOUR DISH IS NOT GOOD , THEN NEXT TIME THEY TOLD ME THAT YOUR SET UP BOX IS NO GOOD AFTER TWO MINUTES THEY TOLD ME THAT YOUR WIRE CONNECTION IS NO GOOD. FACT WAS THAT THEY HIMSELF DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. INBETWEEN THIS THEY USE OUR CELL PHONE FOR COMMUNICATIONS FOR NEARLY 01 HRS CONTINUOUSLY. AFTER FINGURING EVERYTHING THEY TOLD OUS THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO SOLVE PROBLEM SO THEY ARE LEAVING AND SENDING OTHER ENGINEERS AFTER 01 HR BUT NO ONE CAME SO I CALLED CUSTOMER CARE AND LAUNCH AGAIN COMPLAINT MY COMPLAINT NUMBER IS 3158345 ON 27.06.10 AT 1700 AROUND AND AIRTEL TV CUSTOMER CARE PROMISE OUS THAT WITHIN 24 HRS YOURS PROBLEM WILL SOLVE BUT TILL TODAY ON 28.06.10 AT 2000 HRS MY PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED AND NO ONE CALL ME FOR MY PROBLEM.
THEN I CALLED AGAIN CUSTOMER CARE AGAIN THEY ARE GIVING SAME REPLY WAIT FOR NEXT 24 HRS.
SO PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM BECAUSE WHWNEVER I AM CALLING AIRTEL TV THEY ARE SAYING NEXT 24 HRS WAIT YOUR PROBLEM WILL SOLVE. AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Waiting for connection

Hi ,

On 16th i applied for the Airtel digital TV connection. they promised in 48 hr tv cable get connected.
I maid the through IVR ref no..982956 tel no of executive [protected].they inform they got the payment.
today is Thursday after7 day also i am still waiting for the connection..

Nobody response properly form airtel side.

responding to mails is quick, why dont your customer care give a proper response and get the job done, is this what you provide to your customer...its seems many of your customers are very dissatisfied...is there anyway of refunding the money..i doubt it...before taking a connection, service is guaranteed, once the money has been paid, then no one cares to hear or take complaints. this is extremely pathetic...please explain what is the next step

airtel digital set box — set box not working since last two month

I raised a complaint about my Airtel Digital TV set-up box not working and functioning since last two month.
By the time of registering the complaint, the executive told me that the problem would be reloved on next day.

Before one month two time your enginear visit our home and check this set box and second time because of problem in set box this person has change this set box. but after two three days this problem is running and we call this enginear but this person say that y will call to airtel office and tell new set box reqier because last time set box is old.

No one has turned up by the given resolution time. after that i call on airtel toll free number.I told them that no one has come to my home to solve the problem. Then that person told me that the problem would be resolved by 12 noon the next day. Already 24 hrs passed and still I have to wait for another 15 hrs. It's 12:30 in the afternoon, and the problem still persists. No engineer has come to look into my problem. this type of cheating every time occure.

last two weeks i call everyday to airtel office and your executive tell me that next day your problem is solved. at this time my problem not solved.

I am able to resolve the issue. It has come twice, Once the Airtel DTH ( ADTH ) guy came second time I was able to resolve it myself.
diagnose:
you can diagnose if you are at this issue or not ?
Signal Quality -- ( > 197 )
Signal Strength -- ( > 20 )
And you are not receiving the signals just black screen with program info or 108, 283, 284 -- channel says error code B001..

Solution:
Then the whole problem lies in the Antenna. Antenna has a dish and the some small black protruding on a stick outside the antenna where the cable is connected to setup box. The signal sent by satellite is received by the dish and reflected back to be captured at the black protruding object on a stick outside the antenna where the cable is connected to setup box. Now the signal is captured by this black object and sent through cable to the setup box.
Here lies the problem the dish is capturing the signals as seen by the signal quality and the strength . but the problem lies in the signal being received to setup box through black protruding object on a stick outside the antenna where the cable is connected to setup box. Hence the black object attached to stick need to be rotated. it has some lines on it which can be rotated clock or anti-clockwise. Now adjust this black round plastic object anti-clockwise or clockwise such that the middle arrow in the black is pointing to the center of the point shown on the fixed black object.

if the signal strength/quality is low, then first you have to adjust the dish to get the proper signal strength and the quality.

if all the above seems to be correct then you must reset the setup box.

using the following instruction:

I have tryed resetting the setup box ...
I used the following procedure
back+menu+right+down button to reset the setup box.. seen till the message sign starts blinking...
then I restarted the setup box.
i followed the installation instruction for Airtdel DTH ( ADTH) for setup box reset :
chose instruction as : English
Transponder settings:
INSAT4CR TP1-1
then
signal setting :
signal level : 201
BER : 10-20

LNB settings:

LNB Type -- dual band
LNB Number -- 1
Satellite -- Insat-4CR
IO Low freq -- 09750
IO High freq -- 10600
DiSEqC Mode -- DiSEqC A

My cutomer ID[protected]When I switch on my TV no signal message is being received . I have lodged complaint no 3803557 and 3810787 but in spite of repeated assurance no body has turned up to attend the complaint. No senior person is ready to come on line, the customer care executive have been probably instructed either not to pass on the call and if they pass it to their seniors the phone keeps on ringing and you are inform plz keep holding as the seniors are busy on the other line and after 10 minutes you are disconnected intentional or otherwise only they know. These MNC's are taking customer for a ride. A cable operator would have attended the problem with in an hour.
