[Resolved]  B. E. S. T. Undertaking — best bus complaint

From kandivali to bangurnagar there are only 3 buses running 210, 707, 205. i want to suggest them that there is no proper frequancy is maintaining by them. every 3 out of 5 occations this buses comes same time then there will be a half hour break.also their drivers & conductors are very careless specially 707 long route buses, they always skip to stop some of the small stop. I faced lots of trouble with best buses. some time i also argued with conductors regarding this, plz take some serious actions immediately on best buses we public have to face lots of trouble because their drivers & conductors are becoming very careless. plz do feedback to my email id [protected]@yahoo.co.in & on weekends also frequancy is very less, some this buslike 205, 210 whos last stop dahisar bridge some time they runs till chincholi bundur or orlem church (210) why they are wasting petrol to run for such short distances. i observe this buses for short distance they never had passangers, plz do take immediate actions on best buses

today i boarded 1335hrs bus no 319 from chandivali (bus was scheduled from chandivali to andheri stn).As i am regular rickshaw traveller but due to last moment rickshaw services were called off and hence unfortunately had to take this particular bus.When i sat in the bus, i saw my wallet and did`nt find change to give him so i gave him 100 bucks note to him on that he told me to give 10 bucks instead of 100 bucks i tried really hard to search for change in my bag and also tried to convice other travellers to give me change incase they have but could`nt get it, So, i again requested the condustor that i don`t have change on that he replied that`mazya kade sutte nahi aahe, tumchya kade nastil tar gaadi badla`(i dont have change if you are not getting it then get down of the bus).He was so rude, he did`nt even understand the situation that its a rickshaw stirke and has to help the people in such crisis.To my surprise while i was geting down of the bus, as i failed to give him the change;there was this one more female who gave him 100 bucks note, but he did`nt deny the other girl and instead told him very politely that i`ll give you rest chang at last stop.

It was such an incovienece for me to reach my work, i had to change so many buses and reach my work place as i had no other option.My point is that:

1-He`s supposed to help the passenger`s when such crisis turns up all of a sudden.

2-Why he acted indifferently with the same kind of situation.

3-Why BEST has recruited machines`s instead of humans.

Dear madam /sir
I am the resident of adarsh nagar every day i travel adarsh nagar to goregaon(east). Their are no buses at time all the buses come together and their is very much rush at the bus stop. Every time buses are late .The bus service is very much worst.

Four buses up-down (every time) together and 1st bus goes very much full 2nd little full and 3rd and 4th buses are full empty. So everyone has to wait for 1 to2 hours. Please listen my complaint for the same.
please reply ASAP.

B.E.S.T. Undertaking — Very rude and abusive behaviour of conductor

Dear Sir,

It was on Saturday 15th of October very miserable day due to a bus conductor of bus route no.33 and conductor badge number 98241.
I boarded from bandra station at 9.30am. The bus was packed by passengers. It was all ok till 10am. Suddenly a man and woman started quarrelling each other. The said conductor came behind of me and pulled my shoulder very rudely and said WATS the matter. I told him it was not my metter and please dont pull my shoulder. Suddenly he told me " itna agar apne shoulder ka khyal hai to taxi ya rickshaw me aao." He continues to pull my shoulder. Then i pulled his hand off from my shoulder down. And he started to speak rudely and started to abuse me. And two or three times he tried to hit me but due to some passenger he could not success in his intention. I took his photo to give in BEST. When he knew that i took his snap he began to abuse me more. I tried to get down at my destination at juhu shoping enter but he did not allow me. He just hold my collar and said i will take to police station. Some passenger told him to leave the metter but he was just fulfill his wish as he wanted. He didnt listened to the passengers and at last i would prefer to go police station. he stooped bus in front of DN Nagar police station and gave complaint. He told me that if complaint against him he will admit in hospital and told that I distempered his mind.

But all about the conductor wanted to do his DADAGIRI to satisfy himself.

So please help me to learn him a lesson of speaking to passengers.
I am very hope full towards you.

This is Shaikh Moin From Bandra, i am computer hardware engineer, frequent traveller of best bus...no doubt its best servive of all over india...but from last few months, the system has been changed...drivers and conductors think that best buses are their own property...both are always in a hurry everytime, not ready to stop till last passenger gets in, last 2, 3 passenger catch running bus and same thing happen while getting down...and what to say abt the conductors...they are not ready to talk in proper way, always misbahave with passengers even ladies also...sir please look after your management...i think mumbai becoming like delhi, i always herad about blue line busses...i hope u also know about that.Your staff not happy with you people and your management...(wo log apna sara ghussa passenger par nikalte hai, koi sahi mu baat nahi karta hai)and last but not least...bus number plate, i think u r upgrading our self and country also, but for best buses...most of the buses have no number plates, when u ask driver or conductor, they reply very negative, (yeh hamara kaam nahi hai, depot me ljakar boliye...)sir computer ke zamane me aap log school ke white chalk se bus ke glass par likh rahe ho jo dikhayi nahi deta hai...
Sir please look after these matters ...sab mumbaikars pareshan hai...

Please note that from 14.11.2011 bus no C-52 is not operating by 8.00 AM
Also note that in this bus 50 percentage seats are utilizing BEST staff and police man.We normal passengers are not getting seats. Kindly do the needful action.

I have traveling the Bus no 461 today 19/11/2011. The bus
standing under the Jaikoach flyover for 15 minites and after then the bus will start. I asked the bus conductor what is the time of the bus start he angry and told I don't no. His batch no 13681, Bus no 461 Mh01 Ap 0657.
I have also the bus ticket no [protected] and the time mentention on 08:12:57 but the bus reach the Jai coach bus stop 08:30.All passengers are asked to the condutor but he said DEPOT JAUN VICHARA. On the bacth the conductor name not showing.I hope your management give the action against your employers.

THIS IS TO BRING TO YOUR NOTICE THAT THE AC bUS SERVICE FROM KALAMBOLI TO WADALA BUS 503 ON NOV 21 2011 NUMBER MH-01-AP-0588 WAS BOARDED BY ME FROM KALAMBOLI. THE AC WAS NOT OPERATING AND THE COMPLAINT WAS LODGED WITH CONDUCTOR BILLA NO 55705 WHO SAID ITS A TECHNICAL PROBLEM. WHEN ASKED THAT PASSENGERS BOARDING THE BUS FROM SUBSEQUENT STOPS BE INFORMED ABT THE SAME HE KEPT THEM IN THE DARK. THIS IS MISGUIDING AND CHEATING ON HIS PART AS THE AC WAS NOT OPERATING
YOU SHOULD CHARGE NORMAL AMOUNT IN SUCH CASES.

I'm a regular traveler through BEST. today(29/11/12) i caught bus no 210 MH01AP0735 from NL school stop (Malad) around 11:30 am . I asked for a ticket for poisar which costs Rs6 and gave the conductor a 10 Rupee note; he asked for a change of one rupee...i told him politely that i didn't have any change except a 50 Rupee note..he demanded that i get down the bus..he refused to give me any change in spite of that the fact that he had some...he told me needed those changes up to Dahisar...when a gentleman beside me asked him for his co-operation he spoke rudely to him ...finally it was that gentleman who gave me change...meanwhile the conductor unhesitatingly gave change of 3 Rs to the guy behind me when he presented him a note of 10 Rs...so is this some sort of gender based discrimination...he seem to have ample of change for the guy behind me...Seriously one cannot expect people to have changes all the time considering one needs to give change not only in bus but also auto rickshaws and other innumerable daily petty expenditure.
I'd appreciate if you would kindly look into the matter.

9.25, 9.45, 10.05, >>>>>>>> bus will come at 9.05 & 10.05, sometimes
some buses like 9.25 & 9.45 may not come, such as me many of passenger
facing this propblem, so hope u take an Immideat action.

B.E.S.T. Undertaking — Irregular Bus service in the evenings

Government is encouraging people to use public transport(which is very good), but not increasing the transport facility, how then would you expect people to use public transport. Because of lack of public transport people tend to purchase their own cars and bikes and thus the traffic increase.
Government should increase BEST bus transport and when this happens people will stop using their own transport and Auto rickshaws (which create jams and inconvenience to public not to mention their arrogance).
I frequently travel by BEST (AC 707 / AC 70) from Miraroad to Andheri west / Santacruz / Bandra.

The frequency for bus route AC707 in the evenings is very irregular. When asked at the depot they say that there are no buses available at the depot to send out, the buses allotted are under repair and very few buses to commute and because of traffic the buses that are on route do not returned on time and so no bus can be sent out on time.
We understand the traffic problem, but does this really cause the delay by more than an hour? or is it that there are not enough buses on this route.
The drivers and conductors on this route say that most of the buses allotted to the AC707 route are under repair and very few buses running and these so called running buses always have some problem or the other on route and are delayed because for no proper maintenance, and when asked we are told that there is no proper maintenance company to maintain these buses.
Is there no way where the BEST can get proper buses as most of the commuters are quarterly pass holders and this is good revenue for the Government.
I understand that the population increase has got the buses to be crowded, but if the frequency is good then the crowd will obviously get distributed.
For the people to get aware of the fact that using road public transport is the best, Government has to increase public transport facility.
Dear Team,

This is regarding my travel experience on Bus No AS-592 from Chembur to Dadar Circle on last Saturday, 24/12/2011. I would like to bring to your notice my grievance due to the bus driver and conductor (Badges 18404 and 16421 respectively) I missed getting off the bus at the designated stop, which being my mistake, I requested them to open the door for me when the bus stopped at the signal not more than 50ft. from the stop. The bus had stopped safely at the side of the road and there was no danger of me running into an accident on alighting from the bus there. However, the driver and conductor got involved in a very public debate with me and absolutely refused to open the door. I had a pressing need to get off the bus soon, and the bus was going to stop next at Dadar west (plaza) Even on repeated requests I was spoken to very rudely and told this was against the rules.

However, after I took note of their badge numbers, they were immediately willing to open the door and let me get off (while the bus had left the signal and there was slow moving traffic on the road). I refused to alight there as I felt it was not safe (and questioned their earlier sense of my "safety" and adhering to the "rules") I wonder if this was just to trouble a girl or their way of sticking to the rules. I am sure I am not the only one who has ever requested to get off at a signal (I myself have had to so it in the past and have never faced any issue) I felt totally angry at their hypocrisy at firstly showing fake concern for my safety and "conveniently" adhering to the "so-called rules" they mentioned.!!!

Hope someone keeps track of this consumer complaint portal, else there is no use writing here. Awaiting your response..

B.E.S.T. Undertaking — Late Buses at Morning Peak Hours

On 21st Feb and 23rd Feb 2012 , the BEST Bus from Pratiksha nagar Depot to Borivali "448 ltd" was late for more then 50 mins.. When we asked Conductor he said "3 buses were Cancelled"
and Inside Depo Senior Person said "Less Staff for ltd Busses". so we are facing Problem in Morning.

I( Mrs Bina) want to draw your attention towards the conductor of bus no 324. I boarded the BEST bus at Agar bazar( near Sidhi Vinayak) at about 12.05 PM on 10.3.12. I purchased a ticket of Rs 40/ as i was to go to Chandiwali and return back.My Ticket no was [protected] dt 10.3.12 time 12.09.56. While returnig back to Agar Bazar I boarded a bus 409 by ( bus MH01 L8822) upto Marol Naka at 17.24.04 time, when I showed the ticket to conductor, I got a shock of my life when he said that the ticket ( of Rs 40/ which I had purchased ) was meant for a Male and not a female. I was made to purchase another ticket upto Marol Naka for Rs 7 ( Ticket no. [protected]) and further from Marol to Agar Bazar for Rs 14/( Ticket no [protected] by Bus no 324 by bus MH01 LA 5471 at 18.13.28 hrs on 10.3.28 hrs) . On my further enquiry he told me that their is no difference of fare between a male or female commuter. Under these circumstance I submit
I was wearing Punjabi suit of Blue colour with a duppatta and from any angle i was not looking like a male
I have long hairs( not boy cut or short cut ) and hence could not be termed as a male
I being a Hindu has put a BINDI on fore head, with ear rings and bangles, and hence coould not be mis-understood as a male.
I was sitting on right hand side of the bus at second row meant for ladies.
Despite all these I was given a male ticket by the conductor.
Please explain-
whether the conductors are subjected to eye test.
whether this is the policy of the BEST to thug money from common people.
what is the remedy for my agony
what action is being taken against such employees of yours
how much money is collected through such unfair means
shall I approach the BEST through Right for Information

Dear Sir,

I travel from Bandra Talkies to Chakala by Bus No.324. This is the only Bus on that route and the frequency is very bad. For the past 10 days, I have been waiting for this bus for 45 minutes (from 7.45 am to 8.30 am). Also, since the bus comes late, the driver starts the bus before the passengers get in and even before the conductor rings the bells (which I think is punishable). This can cause a serious accident and cause harm to a passenger for life.

Request you to please consider my request of increasing the frequency of bus no. 324 & train the drivers to be more considerate towards the passengers.

BUS No 356 : Routed from Santacruz depo West to Tata power colony.On 29 March 2012, We found that the said route bus was not available between 6:10 PM to 6:55 PM. Because of that I have face big problem.So this is kind request to look into matter and maintain desire frequency on the route.
