[Resolved]  B. E. S. T. Undertaking — best bus complaint

From kandivali to bangurnagar there are only 3 buses running 210, 707, 205. i want to suggest them that there is no proper frequancy is maintaining by them. every 3 out of 5 occations this buses comes same time then there will be a half hour break.also their drivers & conductors are very careless specially 707 long route buses, they always skip to stop some of the small stop. I faced lots of trouble with best buses. some time i also argued with conductors regarding this, plz take some serious actions immediately on best buses we public have to face lots of trouble because their drivers & conductors are becoming very careless. plz do feedback to my email id [protected]@yahoo.co.in & on weekends also frequancy is very less, some this buslike 205, 210 whos last stop dahisar bridge some time they runs till chincholi bundur or orlem church (210) why they are wasting petrol to run for such short distances. i observe this buses for short distance they never had passangers, plz do take immediate actions on best buses

First Complaint-Poor Bus Service.
Regarding my complaint regarding poor bus service the BEST has not given any satisfactory reply.
1. The BEST have totally failed in providing Public time table as in case of Railways and even State Transport and other transport providers. The BEST have failed to provide the time table of their bus service either on line or in booklet form or at bus stop of relevant bus route.
2. In the absence of time table and poor bus service people have no option but to travel by taxi in I land city and by auto in suburbs. This hard ship is not only faced by me but nearly 40 lakh BEST commuters.
3. The BEST have no inconvenience in providing advertisement in buses in LCD / poster form and at bus stops poster/ painting form but it is not possible for them as replied by them to provide public time table which is their prima facie responsibility to any consumer to give details what service they are providing at what time and at what place.
4. Not having public time table itself shows that their service is a total mess and not having any committed service towards consumer.
5. No improvements is noticed even after repeated complaints and suggestions regarding poor frequency, cancelation of buses, providing Public time table, avoiding cancellation of bus routes with poor frequency, reducing of head way by adjusting the timing of earlier bus, running of mini buses to improve frequency, availability of Public Time Table for sale in booklet form at all starting point and on the web. In fact the BEST even not bothered to say a single word of apology on their poor service to the complainant. It is obligatory on their part to provide proper service to people and solve their grievances resulted due to lack of service on their part.
My complaint is pending in BEST records with displeasure and customers dissatisfaction remarks from my side.

With reference to your E mail dated 24/02/2012 ( no reply attached now as stated in your mail ) it is again retreated that the reply sent earlier is only partial and that too like a layman’s reply not having any logical point wise reply. A few example is produced again in short for your kind attention which is a part of the main complaint.
1. The complaint of poor service is replied with your inability on the main aspect of providing Public Time Table so as to judge your performance leaving the complaint pending with my displeasure remarks as advised to you.
2. The complaint of high fares totally left the comparative price of Bus with Auto, with other Bus service provider and percentage wise high ratio of rise compared to other moods over last 35 years in Mumbai leaving the complaint pending with my displeasure remarks as advised to you.
3. The complaint of Rule violating, dangers, disrespectful, customer dissatisfactory service is not replied at all and no improvement seen leaving the complaint pending with my displeasure remarks as advised to you.
4. The complaint of Woman sexual harassment and children non safety is not replied at all leaving the complaint pending with my displeasure remarks as advised to you.
5. The complaint o[censored]nsafe, Dangerous, Traffic Rules violation and accident prone Bus operation is replied that instruction issued but no improvement seen which is not replied at all leaving the complaint pending with my displeasure remarks as advised to you.
Please reply logically point wise, based on facts, action taken and result achieved for closure of complaint.
Further as you have asked to provide individual cases, a complaint against the bus driver of Bus no 5086 was sent of incident of 03/02/2012 talking on mobile phone while driving and crossing the Red signal with exact place and time. If you require more such incidents the same can be brought to your kind attention. However it is your responsibility to ensure non occurrence of the same.
I further replied my inability to attend enquiry on 27/02/2012 due to my safety in your depot as the complaint in this regard is already pending. However any clarification and co operation was also ensured from my side.
I further assure my co operation in all respect for improvement in your services so as to serve the people of INDIA in a better way.
As mentioned above by passangers regarding BEST conductor`s and driver`s behaviour I think they
should be taught a lesson not only regarding the above complaints but also that whenever people
are getting inside or getting out of the bus, the conductor or the driver dosen`t have the patience of
waiting at the place for even letting the people board the bus.
Apart from that the driver dosen`t even slow down the bus whenever there is speed-breaker .

Like other cities private bus have not started plying in mumbai .But if they start slowly-slowly a day
will come when no mumbaiker will be seen travelling in a Best because of the bus timing and the conductor`s

its always happening at SANTACRUZ (EAST ) BUS DEPOT, mostly at rush hours & on special day when autorickshaw or taxi wallas goes on strike, at this depot they are very unorganise at deaprture of buses, most of the time they are not sure about which bus will proceed or not, comuters ( specially elder person or ladies ) when they seat
i n the waiting bus particular for their destination, most of hte time no one is there to guide them about which BUS will go or not, many times standing drivers, conductors & even their supervisors ( men in blue) gives wrong information, first they tell to seat in particular numbar bus ( 311, 313, 318, 413 ) & then suddenly starts another bus & tells comuters to go in that bus, this creates problem for elder person to run & catch it, BEST people doesnt give peoper instruction or if ones ask they gives reply very badly. this scenes are happen every day, i think, may be BEST authorities are not aware of this kind of behaviour from their staff, i hope, they will do something usefull in this direction. thank you.

I used to travel daily in Bus Route No.37 from Kalina to Prabhadevi and back. Nowadays the frequency is very erratic. Sometime I have to wait more than half an hour to get the bus in the morning and evenings. There is no fixed time for this bus now. From Kurla itself bus is full and we do not get entry in this bus from Kalina in the morning and Prabhadevi in the evening time. As there is no other buses in this route we have no option.

I therefore request BEST to run more buses in this route and there should be specific time to this buses.
Frequency of bus no AS 505 from CBD belapur to santacruz is too bad I had been waiting at Punjab wadi stop since last 1 and half hour ( from morning 9:30 to 11:00am ) and there was no bus not a single AS505 has passed. So it's a request to best that please discontinue that bus so that people don't wait and save there time too.
The route no 502 LTD and 508 Ltd services are so bad we have to wait at vashi for 30-45 mts for a bus and when come it is crowded and after that 2-3 bus comes in 5-10mts time. Please do the needful as passenger are facing proble. Same time in evening time from navi mumbai

Subject : Complaint against your BEST Conductor driving from Borivali to Kalanagar ; Bus no MH 01 - 9530

I would like toput complaint against your BEST conductor driving from Borivali to Kalananagar ; Bus no MH 01 - 9530. It was 10.30 pm in the late night on May 24, 2012, I was waiting at the BEST Bus Stop of Borivali National Park. BEST bus no MH 01 - 9530 came and the same was till Kalanagar as I had to get down at Baldongri Bus stop (Kandivali) so I took the Bus. As I have got Magic Bus Pass (Non-A.c. All Over) with serial no as 2503 [protected] also the same is valid till 08-07-12, I showed the pass to your conductor. Conductor of Bus no MH 01 - 9530 said that the pass was invalid and I would have to remove the ticket as on that bus only Rs 800 bus pass is valid. I said and request him by showing the receipt with me as the Magic Pass was valid till 08-07-12. However, the conductor did not listen to me and he forced to take the ticket. I request you as if that wa the rule then I was not aware that if a person having a valid pass can not travel in the bus then it is better I get down out of the bus. By that time the bus had started and reached some way aprox 20 meters on Magarthane Flyover. He forced me to get down on the brigde, I said that ok I would get down after the bridge is over. but he did not listen and got the bus stop in the middle of the fly over it was approx 10.50 pm by that time as all the passenger was suffering due to me aprox only there were 6 to 7 and the bus was waiting for more than 5 mins. So by thinking of the other passanger I had to get down of that bridge. As now I was on the bridge of Magarthane Flyover, I had to walk onthe sideway of the bridge and the bus left me there. I walked on the side of the bridge till the end and still walk further till mall stop i.e. before sai baba mandir stop of kandivali and I had to walk aprox more than 20 mins to reach that sop. Finaly I got a different bus and reached Baldongri Bus stop (Kandivali). Again I showed the same pass to this bus conductor and he accepted the same with a smile. By that time I reached it was 11.35 pm.

Now I would write here and place a complaint against that Bus no MH 01 - 9530 conductor
1) Conductor should be punished for deficence of service as he did not bother to consult to his seniors as if the pass is valid and I have receipt mentioned as Magic Bus Pass (Non-A.c. All Over) and I was in non a.c. Bus still how can he ask me to get down.
2) He forced me to get down on the bridge were vehicles were running at a speed of 120 kms to 80 kms and if some thing had gone wrong then who should have been blamed.
3) This conductor even did not allow me to take his badge number and argued as he is the Director of BEST.
4) Also this conductor was very very harsh and rude.
5) The bus was completely empty, however they did not have feeling for the passenger to allow him to get down on the next stop.

As I have valid Pass and the same is valid till 08-07-12, request you to pay a compansation for the ticket alson with a appology letter from your side and take into task for ensuring these type of conductor do not mis behave with the passanger.

I agree i would have been in fault if my pass was not valid, then he should have forced me to get down with this reason then it would have been valid. However the pass was valid but still he forced me to get down.

Would wait for your revert or I would have to approach to the Consumer Court for deficence of service.

Dear Sir,

Today morning i get the bus No.103 @ Fanaswadi and want to go at Colaba Bus Station. Conductor came to me and ask me for the ticket i m having Rs. 750 Magic Pass then he told me wat about the luggage, luggage was 1 bag having 3 box, he told me you have to take luggage ticket i told him i m travelling in bus since last 10 years no one ask me abt the luggage ticket then conductor told me "Eshan Thodhi Kar Rahan Hain" then he took my pass and told me take the ticket then only i will give you the pass otherwise i will give the pass @ bus depot.Some of the paasengers told me to take the ticket we may know that he will guarantee submit the pass @ bus depot he may not submit also.He also check my bag also and told me where u want to go i told him i want to go @ Navy Nagar then i told him give the ticket of next stop he gave me the ticket of R.C.Church.

I m working @ Navy Nagar and should travel Bus No.103 - Colaba Bus Station and from there direct through Navy Nagar Bus.

We bring to the kind attention of the Authorities about the inconvenience caused at Jeevan Nagar Bus Stop [ Andheri West, Link Road] where Perfect Auto Garage & Lucky Auto Accessories, Near Crystal Point mall is situated. Vehicles have been found regularly parked on the Road causing great difficulty for the common people who merely depend on public Transport.

They have merely encroached to the public road causing inconvenience to the public. We really understand the situation, but on the other hand we are talking about parking spaces. They should park on the drive way or inside their garage. Why they are parking on Public Street ?

Traffic Dept must take a note of this situation. We are unable to take public Transport at the designated bus stop due to these problems and the traffic department must give notice to the garage owner to cease operating on the roadside causing great inconvenience to public.

दिनांक १४ एप्रिल २०१२ रोजी रात्री १०.१५ च्या दरम्यान १७० क्रमांकाच्या बसने अन्टोप चर्च च्या बस स्टोप वर बस न थांबवता पुढे गेला व त्या क्षणी बसचा पाटलाग करताना माझी रुपये १३८५ किंमतीची घडी हरवली. या घटनेसाटी मी १७० क्रमांकाच्या बस चालकाला जबाबदार मानतो कारण त्या चालकाने जर बस बसस्टोप थांबवली असती तर असे काही झाले नसते.
तरी मी आपणास कृपया करून विनंती करितो कि मला झाल्याल्या नुकसानीची भरपाई द्यावी व त्या चालकालावर योग्य ती कारवाई करावी.

I was a passenger in bus no. MH 01 LA[protected] on route no. 103, which left RC Church, Colaba, at 1200 h today Tuesday 21 Aug 2012. I was thoroughly impressed by the manner in which the young driver was negotiating the heavy traffic, and smoothly driving the vehicle despite his young age and probably less experience. He appeared to be very dedicated and a thorough professional and obeying the traffic rules to the last word. At the same time, I could also observe some other ( senior looking) drivers cutting corners and jumping signals, but this youngster was far from it. I didnt talk to him, neither did ask his name but expressed my same opinion to the( equally young looking) Conductor, who chose to ignore. The future of public transport in Mumbai seem to be in safer hands!
An occasional pat on the back by the superior will go a long way for motivating him further.

the driver does not stop, it is always 30-45 minutes late!! what are u all upto??
I just request u to ensure that bus reaches stop on time... because u people are taking money and that too so much more than a normal bus or a rick. since we are paying it, it is your responsibility to keep the customers happy...

Condoctor Banch No. 94195 ( Bus No. 175 ) from satrastta ( Jecab circle ) to Pratiksha Nagar has not stop the bus properly on the bus stop at Jijamata Nagar and while climbing the Children in bus he stared the bus imagetly and doing argument with passangers. Please take action

I just traveling from B.P.T hospital wadala to Ganesh nagar from bus no 60. I just asked for ticket to the conductor of these route on 27/11/12 at 1.15 pm of Bus no MH 01 L 9507. i gave her 10 rupees for ticket and ticket is of 5 rupees but conductor not given the ticket to me giving reason give me the change of 5 rupees as he already have lot's of change.and stop the bus in middle thrown to me from the bus. This should not be happen with any passenger. we understand the situation that some time they do not have any change in that situation we are agree that we have to keep some change but the conductor have already lot's change then only they are not giving change to passenger that's not fine.
So I kindly request yo to take some necessary action on this situation

Today. 15th December 2012, I want to catch the Bus No: 66 by CST station at 10.30 the Bus No: MH 01 L 9942, I ran to catch the bus, I am standing infront of gate of Bus when I want to get in, conductor pull the rope of bell and immediately driver started the Bus. Is the Buses for Public or for the conductor and driver.

Some people are standing infront of gate for getting in men can easily get in running bus how could women. why the bus management has not teach this kind of lessons to their staff. it's always happen in Mumbai.

sometime women/old man get in from front door that time driver ask them to get down and catch the bus from back door. poor peoples are getting down to catch the back door and on the same time driver starts the Bus IS this right behaviour of Divers. Its normally happen in Bus no: 103 & 68, the drivers are very rude behave with people.
and they rudely asked them old age certificate from them.

Could you suggest us some solution...

Transport Department - BEST Undertaking — AC King Long AC Bus Services

In the present context consumer is well protected even for a adulteration or finding a inert material inside a packing of Coca cola or Colgate toothpaste. It is surprising to note that BEST undertaking Transport Division have no concern for the Commuters traveling by AC King Long buses after paying in advance cash payment against monthly.quarterly Passes. I am traveling regularly by AC 503 bus for last more than two and half years and have paid more than Rs.25,000/- in lieu of Monthly Diamond Pass but do not find any improvement in the Maintenance, operation and logistic management in the operation. Is it not dire need of the hour to WAKE-UP all concerned!!!
